9.6 Excellent
Pros: Stylish, comfortable, romantic getaway! The host are lovely people! The views are stunning. The handmade breakfast was delicious especial the chocolate, hazelnut orange cake :)
Cons: Only a small problem was the toilet door didn't close! and a slow internet collection for people that need it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Second visit here and can thoroughly recommend it a superb place and very helpful owners.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful historic house that is decorated in a sympathetic manner with many period features, photographs and paintings. Lovely warm welcome and interest in me. Room was amazing and very restful after a hard day's motorcycling in the Pyrenees.
Cons: Rien.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was awesome! all homemade. Management is really friendly and always caring for guest comfort. You also can get good tips about what to do and go.
Cons: A fan would have been a plus or the option of having meals, besides breakfast, in the place. But again, small details, more a "nice to have" :) What we particularly disliked and has nothing to do with the management there, is that the add in booking was not accurate. According to the add, the room was 50 m2 when definitely was much smaller (we knew it was the right room because of the pics). I think, adds on booking ought to reflect the reality for what it is.
7.5 Good
Pros: The surrounding area- so serene and peaceful! The bed was also incredibly comfortable and the homemade breakfast was just lovely! It´s the perfect place to unwind and detox away!
Cons: I didn´t realize it was quite out of the way from the town so you definitely need a car or to rely on taxis. Also, the shower was disappointing- not the shower area but the water pressure! It was barely trickling in so I definitely struggled with that part.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: History everywhere- back to the 16th century in some parts. Isolated a bit but absolutely magnificent, steeped in history. A little out of town but tremendous for relaxation, great swimming pool.
Cons: Nothing to report
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were perfect and the breakfast which was all home made was to die for
Cons: All perfect

Pros: Me and my partner stayed few days in a lovely room in this nice house. The place is located in beautiful country side, surrounded by the mountains, which gives an idyllic atmosphere to the area. The owners are super nice and they gave nice tips on what to see in the surroundings. The breakfast was simply amazing, the best way to start the day. I definitely recommend to stay at La Maison Blanche
Cons: There was a misunderstanding on the payment because I thought we payed the room when I booked, but it wasn't the case. It is not the owners fault, but I suggest to double check your reservation when you make the booking.

7.5 Good
Pros: A lovely quirky French chateau come hotel. Good breakfast and WiFi
Cons: Maybe some seating outside in the garden would be nice
8.8 Excellent
Pros: An old Chateau with plenty of character. Great pool on a hot day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was fantastic and an absolute highlight.
Cons: We got an upstairs room which was a bit small (being under the eaves and all) whilst our friends got a lovely suite with balcony and all.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location for us en route. Friendly staff.
Cons: No bar! Old fashioned country house in its own grounds but very tired decor. On-site restaurant very popular which was open to non-res but limited choice - lambs brains and stuffed suckling pig. Expensive. Continental Breakfast was not worth it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location, on a secluded large property with swimming pool. Boutique feeling to the hotel, with charming rooms that are simple but comfortable. The restaurant onsite is fantastic, with delicious food and great selection of dishes. Everyone sits outside together giving a nice feeling of community. Chefs came out to speak with guests.
Cons: The rooms don't have A/C, but it wasn't a problem for me as there was a fan, but some guests might find this a drawback in the summer months.
6.7 Good
Pros: A very old needed updating property

Cons: Everything
4.6 Okay
Pros: I am afraid this review is blighted by the horrendous experience we had with the owner. I had booked this for my friends, an active very pleasant older couple. On arrival they were harangued that two bookings had been made, they hadn't as we can prove. Please read below what we encountered. They said they had enjoyed dinner cooked by a lady and found other guests joining them at the table to be really interesting and nice. Less pleasant they said was the owner sitting back looking deshabillé with his shirt badly buttoned. Breakfast was all fine. This is a pretty old town, just note that access by car is tricky as the road climbs up through the old town and is very narrow as it winds up, but lovely old area. Excellent huge market in St Girons on Saturday.
Cons: My friends, who I had booked this stay for, had great difficulty in gaining entry and were eventually let in by a neighbour. They were then greeted by the owner, shirtless'. Not a pleasant, or encouraging welcome sight they said. They were then offered a choice of two rooms, one being his evidently, which they said smelt of large mountain dog. ( we love dogs as we have 4 I should say) He then protested to them and maintained he had made an extra booking for me, and as he was full, had made it elsewhere (really?) , all this due to my name simply being at the top of the booking.com account confirm. He wouldn't take no and the booking.com proof that he had made a mistake. It was my account but for one room which was in their name- this had worked perfectly the night before in St Girons. So there is, or should be no possible excuse for any mistake from experienced hoteliers. They agreed to leave it until we came to collect them in the morning. When we came to collect them, they had by then paid him in full for the room and dinner. He had they said asked for cash as he said 'his card machine wasn't working'. He then kept on about this other (non existent) booking. He then also wordy said it was for another two nights, totally bonkers. Waving random papers around which he really didn't want to show properly. I asked him to let me show him and I followed him upstairs to show him a)my email proof that it was one room for 2guests for 1 night and supposedly for him b)to show me his paperwork. Upstairs Clearly he didn't have it, nor would he look at my booking.com confirm. When I very calmly ( he was shouting loudly at me by now) said he had made mistake, he told me to 'get out' and then went for me, and thumped me hard on my right shoulder. ( I am a mid 60's lady) horrified and frightened with the steep staircase right behind me, I told him to 'stand back and not to touch me'.
7.9 Good
Pros: The building, the village and our room were all beautiful. We were able to walk to a wonderful restaurant and made the most of the Villa's swimming pool which was great after a day of walking. My only regret was that we only stayed for two nights...
Cons: Felt sorry for the owner when a very unpleasant couple turned up and began being very rude. There had obviously been some sort of mix-up with the booking system ans despite the owner apologising and offering to re-lodge them elsewhere they were rude and threatening even though it wasn't the owner's fault.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place to stay in a lovely village. The host was very good as was the property. Very comfortable with beautiful features and fitting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Interesting hosts and guests! Totally charming.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: this is a very special place. A very old villa walled in with tiny pathways in an old medievel town.We arrived with the help of a lovely lady who lived nearby and were welcomed in. Belle the white mountain dog fitted in so well and welcomed us. The room ( we were given a choice) had a very comfortable double bed and a stylish bath and sitting area with ancient window looking over the roofs. But the best of all was the pool boy did i love it so hot and humid and then a dip perfect. we eat in a nearby town and found by accident a trad french resturant great meal and creme caramel. Breakfast excellent all guests at big table with our host in full flow such fun well done all Some clever touches the old door had an electronic key to open an close it very clever I did not bother with the wi fi The guide to the house in the room ( in english) was great and made me courious .
Cons: as mentioned in other reviews it is difficult to find I could not believe that the road could take a car
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful! Great pool area and very lovely and peaceful. Lovely mountain dog in residence!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Shower
Cons: Breakfast was left overs from other guests. The table was dirty with crumbs and left over food. Previous guests had taken most of the bread and croissants. Staff made no effort to clean the table or offer fresh food. Had to ask for milk and fresh coffee. Hotel is very quirky which is OK but gave the impression of being dirty but it is a very old building. Also access is difficult through the narrow winding streets. Not sure if we expected to much but our room wasn't cleaned or made up for our second night.
10.0 Excellent

5.0 Okay
Pros: The owners seem very nice and gave a nice welcome but saw little of them afterwards.
Cons: Very uncomfortable bed. Room sparse.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel has a pleasant area for sitting outside. Staff were all very helpful and Sunnis good. The bedroom was ok but would benefit from refurbishment
Cons: The location is a bit hard to find. The immediate area isn’t particularly attractive. The town itself feels a bit unloved. We walked round but in places had to avoid lots of dog mess on the pavement. This isn’t the hotel’s fault but would probably put me off breaking a journey here again.
7.1 Good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Walking around town Very central hotel
Cons: Pillows were terrible
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Dinner
Cons: Breakfast was a shambles and hardly any food left. Staff didn't seem interested. Room was shabby at best. Reception staff invisible.
6.7 Good
Pros: We were delighted to be back at the hotel Eychenne, as we love its traditional charm. The courtyard, pool and restaurant were as elegant and attractive as ever and the staff are always charming and helpful.
Cons: Given that a supposedly major refurbishment was going on last time we were there, a few years ago now, we were disappointed on this occasion to find the decor and bathroom facilities looking very tired, one even sported a peeling ceiling, evidence of damp repeatedly coming from the bathroom above. Whilst air-conditioning was available in all 3 rooms I had reserved, it was barely functioning in our room. Two of the rooms were overpriced (because of the tiny balcony?). Ironically, it was the cheapest room which had a nicely updated bathroom.
