4.2 Okay
Pros: Staff friendly, warm enough
Cons: The “chalet” wasn’t actually a chalet but a bungalow within the camping area. Small enough to fit a family of 5 but if you don’t mind is alright. It shouldn’t be charged like a chalet, we paid too much. Very small space. Manoeuvring within the bungalow and the shower must be tinny to fit! I’m 1.83m high and was struggling. Is half an hour away from the ski resort, Valmeinier and Valloire which is another one reason they shouldn’t be charge so high as you can find similar prices in Valloire if you book it very early. The couch cover was dirty and the pics views are much better than it actually is. If also considering to be a hotel you might have a cleaning service which wasn’t the case. We stayed a whole week and no one came to clean. If you don’t mind though the above should be alright. In general for 1-2 days is ok if you are easy going person as we are and we managed to stay. We would have gone from day 1 but it was last minute and we couldn’t find anything else around. Thanks for reading
5.0 Okay
Pros: Comfy beds and main room was fine. Bar/reception area very nice as were the staff. Very good location for ski resorts along the Maurienne Valley.
Cons: On a main road and right next to train line - goods trains could easily be heard throughout the night. Soundproofing very poor and could hear both rooms either side. Bathroom was a disabled wet room. Smelly drains, shower far too low and toilet far too high. Whole bathroom was very shabby and needs total redecoration/repair to warrant a 3 star hotel.

5.0 Okay
Pros: - The location in the valley. The valley, by the way, is not very nice, by given the presence of the Péchiney aluminum factories. Yet, from the hotel the slopes at Trois Vallées are within very easy access - a five-minute drive to the cable car. And, equally, very easy access by car (25 min.) to the ski resorts of Valmeinier or Valloire, for instance. - The owner, the assistant-manager and, especially the blond waitress in the restaurant were helpful and available. - The potential of the hotel given its location (train station, highway), the spacious restaurant (who prepares the dishes ... ? Is everything homemade?). (A much better and larger lounge area would be a real plus. Get a good yet functional designer involved?)
Cons: - The hotel is under new management (12/2019) which seems to be working hard to get organized. - Although an effort was made, the design/look and feel of the renovations in the room is antiquated and cheap. Yet, the new windows and stores do isolate nicely from the streetnoise. - Thick curtains, a coffee/tea maker/kettle, good pillows, new and fluffy towels, slippers, etc. would make for nice additions. - Poor heating in the room and restaurant. (A replacement of the radiators could be due ... ) - The place is poorly insulated and noise from the dining area with its vaulted ceiling/stone floors and staircase resonates through the hotel. (There was a large party taking place on Saturday and loud laughter and cheering could be heard after 11:00 pm on the upper floors ... ) (Insulate wooden staircase; place curtains to stop the noise from travelling, ...). - Unclear management/staff roles ... who's who? (It could help to wear professional attire/outfits to upgrade a first/general impression). - Hotel reception is closed in the afternoon which can make checking in somewhat cumbersome (a family with two children had to wait for a half hour outside). (I would suggest to liaise with the hotel in time by mail regarding arrivals/check outs.)
5.4 Okay
Pros: The food was ok. Hotel was easy to find.
Cons: Hotel was shabby and felt rundown. Town unattractive, though it was a convenient stopover we would not go back.
6.7 Good
Pros: We were welcomed by the hotel manager and were able to book an evening meal at a good table. Breakfast, although fairly basic was included. The hotel was fairly good value. There was an interesting menu for the evening meal.
Cons: The room was fairly small. It was very hot so we had to sleep with the window open. It was noisy by the railway and the river. The towels were a bit thin. It was okay for one night but not for longer. We were on the top floor with no lift so we had to climb up three lots of stairs.
6.3 Good
Pros: The food was excellent.
Cons: No air conditioning, rubbish shower and room a bit tired.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Facilities and location close to train station shops and bike hire
Cons: Noise from road, river and railway
4.0 Okay
Pros: This place is ideally placed for work and the scenery is breath taking. Have stayed here regularly over the years with the previous owners who use to look after you as if you were a family member coming and visit. The young girl in the restaurant tried but needs better support.
Cons: All the rest. The place has been taken over by novices that are living in fantasy land if they think they will survive.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: We were so shocked at the manner of the host who was extremely hostile. She told us we could not have a table to eat and that we had to be out by 10 am the next morning. She then phoned the room At 930 telling us it was time to leave. The room was not clean and we could hear everything in the room next to us.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly manager. A garage to keep our bikes.
Cons: The room was adequate but very small.

7.1 Good
Pros: Location was great, bathroom spotless clean.
Cons: We asked multiple times if we could get any food before breakfast opening time due to an early trail run race. They did not come back to us with any solution. Ended buying food at supermarket. Strange for a outdoor-sport location with multiple sports people staying at hotel.

Pros: Location for cycling event was ideal. Bike storage in spacious garage with ample hanging room. Private parking & lovely garden with plenty comfy seating to relax. Our room had a balcony which offered more relaxing space. Although bathroom & toilet very small - great shower! Friendly staff
Cons: The wifi coverage was poor and required multiple logins
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, comfort
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excelllent location with south facing balcony. Extremely clean rooms.
Cons: Rooms were a tad cosy, not much room to move around. All in all good value for money though.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Restaurant was closed on the night we were there.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Comfy bed
Cons: On arrival we were just handed our bedroom key and just told “1st floor” no hello, welcome. Nothing! Unless you like hard wooden chairs there is not an ounce of sitting comfort in the place, being in our mid 70s we need a little sitting comfort, we had to to other bars/hotels to relax comfortably. We wanted to eat at the hotel but our first meal was an over cooked dry pork chop and dessert was a cheap shop bought apple pie with a squirt of tin cream for which I paid €6. It was the only meal we ate there. A disappointing stay.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was decent and included in the price. They serve dinner at the hotel and have a lot of activities (including guided hikes and evening activities - karaoke, trivia-type events, etc.). It is in a smaller hamlet of Valloire but only a short 1-2 km walk into the main part of Valloire. There's plenty of parking in the back.
Cons: Breakfast is supposed to be served until 9:30, but they put most of the items away by 9:00 both days we were there.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic - a stones throw from the chairlift. The staff were extremely professional, accommodating and very friendly. The hotel is basic but clean, warm and functional. Rooms comfortable and a good bed.
Cons: Be careful there is no cleaning service if you are staying less than one week. For a stay of three days no one no emptied our bins or cleaned the bathroom. Apparently this is noted in the small print of the contract.
5.8 Okay
Cons: I paid twice. They pulled out of the card and got cash on the spot. They do not communicate at all.

Pros: The room was very cosy, clean and newly renovated. And we absolutely loved the food, the half board (breakfast + dinner) was excellent!

7.1 Good
Pros: The location is great. Very nice view and on the slope.
Cons: Everything was very "industrialized". When we arrived we had no bed linen in the room. It was left somewhere in the building but there was no one to tell us where. We had to call to be told where it is. Also the code for the parking place was given to us the next day. When we arrived we had to park the car somewhere else. When we left we had to gather the bed linen and towels and take them to the reception although cleaning was included (except kitchen).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was good
Cons: Found a little dirty on checking in. Could do with a bit of salt across car park as very slippery. No scissors in kitchen.
