Pros: Nice interior, friendly hostess, good tips on the local things to see and do and great parking!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We received a very warm welcome from the owner and had a great tour of the property. The b&b is located in a very tranquile environment and has a lovely garden. Rooms are clean and spacious. We slept at the ground floor.
Cons: a bit pricey vs other b&b's
5.8 Okay
Pros: quite of the place.
Cons: very expensive for the services
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully decorated, very comfortable and welcoming: proprietor extremely helpful and charming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Idyllic location, we stayed here for a long weekend as we were attending a wedding nearby. The pool was lovely and kept my son entertained. Plenty of nice restaurants close by. Our host was very lovely and knowledgeable. We definitely will return.
Cons: Criticism of myself - learn more French! Also note payment only taken in cash. No cards accepted.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Breakfast to start the day. Very clean and comfortable. Swimming Pool and sun terrace very nice with comfortable loungers and bath robes.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the place is so amazing! She was very welcoming, provided a recommendation where to eat and in general was so sweet and nice that we felt at home right after we arrived. The property itself is a very romantic clean and beautiful, with great nature just next to you. Don't forget to watch the stars at night, they are absolutely amazing at this place far from the city!
Cons: Nothing

7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel is old but comfortable and clean. We were well looked after and breakfast was very nice and typically French
Cons: The hotel would benefit from complete redecoration. The road was a bit noisy but as it was not in the main square it was quiet at night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner is very kind and nice! The price is perfect for the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was fantastic, really welcoming and bent over backwards to help, he really was a lovely guy
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner Eric was very friendly. There was a charge for breakfast but he gave us complimentary croissants and coffee. The bed was very comfortable and beautiful linens.
Cons: We were on the top floor - 53 stairs BUT we did book last minute and got the last room AND Eric carried our case YP the stairs.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I have to agree with other reviewers - Eric is a great host, friendly and ready to share his local knowledge. He carried our bags up to our room on the top floor and immediately provided extra pillows when we requested them. His street map marked up with restaurants and their prices proved really useful as it was pouring with rain and we didn't want to be wandering around an unfamiliar town looking for dinner. OK so the interior decorations are a bit dated and a bit worn at the edges but everything is spotless, everything works and the bed was very comfortable. It reminded us of nice French hotels of 20 and more years ago with a breakfast to match at a reasonable price. It was a short walk into town and the harbour area and it would have been nice to wander round but really torrential rain and wind stopped us. We must go back!
Cons: No way to get a hot drink or a beer other than walking into town to find a cafe or bar. I do wish more French hotels would provide at least a kettle. We carry tea bags and coffee filters with us in case but mostly don't have the opportunity to make a drink.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very food hospitality
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was very charming and immaculately clean
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very warm French welcome, very much 'old style' hotel but very clean, just dont expect large new beds or spacious bathroom. Excellent 'continental' breakfst with the croissants and bread delivered at 5.30 that morning from the bakery! The town square and harbourside was a 5 minute walk away and for what was a dot on the Michelin map 'tres charmant' Ideal base to visit the local memorials and cemetaries commemorating the defense of the town after the Dunkirk evacuation.
Cons: Bed was a bit 'tired' but sheets and covers very nice.
6.7 Good
Pros: The proprietor was very helpful and the location is excellent
Cons: Outside belies the overall general shabbiness of the property inside and the fact the key would not lock the bedroom door ,

Pros: Amazing value for money! Highly recommend
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff, cleanliness, location.
Cons: There was no restaurant service on the evening of our stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, a short walk from town centre and harbour. Plenty of parking. Pleasant view from rooms, either marina or garden. Efficient reception staff, especially Sandra who kindly found my mum's lost purse and thus saved our holiday single-handedly.
Cons: No complaints about the hotel itself, but some extremely noisy guests returned to their rooms at 3am and continued their revelry for the next hour or two. Sleep was impossible during this period. The nearby 'Irish pub' was a bit of a disappointment; I'm afraid that I couldn't see any signs of research to create an authentic atmosphere.
7.5 Good
Pros: Our triple room was spacious and the bathroom was very nice. Huge bathtub with quality faucets was very tempting, and I enjoyed a very relaxing bath. Based on the reviews, we decided to skip the hotel breakfast. That was easy since a tea kettle and a mini fridge were at our disposal.
Cons: We arrived at about 11pm and there was no one at the reception. Had to ring the bell several times and then call the property. The gentlemen answering the phone did not speak English. Luckily he figured out we were waiting at the reception. The coffee mini station had only two cups, and two pouches of each coffee, tea, cream in a triple room. We stayed for two night and the cleaning crew forgot to refill coffee and tea after the first night.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good Hôtel nice location
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!!! The location, the room, the restaurant, the helpfulness and courtesy of the staff. We couldn’t fault it in any way. Particularly since we didn’t speak French, the staff went out of their way to help us.
Cons: We loved everything!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had coffee and croissants in room which was brilliant and a much more economical option that the full breakfast in the dining room. Juice, coffee, croissant, roll, butter and jam for 6 euro each.
Cons: We ate in the restaurant for one night. Food was fine but not exceptional.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The food was very good, more than I wanted to pay, but you get what you pay for. The quality / presentation was excellent.
Cons: No separate bar. Location was not great for me, but that was my error.
La Maison Des Galets - Saint-Valery-en-Caux - Bar
4
6.9 Good (534 reviews)
C$ 77+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at La Maison des Galets in Saint-Valery-en-Caux, you'll be by the sea, just a 1-minute walk from Alabaster Coast and 13 minutes by foot from Maison Henri IV. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The view from the room with the sea view was brilliant
Cons: The room was a little basic, the bathroom had mould on the shower curtain and there was, what appeared to be a used bandaid, on the spare sheet in the wardrobe. The checkout is at 12 noon, but because reception closes at 10:30, we were asked to go down and pay at 10:30...but we were only told this at 10:30 when someone knocked on the door and assertively asked for payment. It would have been helpful for reception to tell us this information when we checked in.
7.1 Good
Pros: Our room looked out to the ocean. The nearby seawall is very pleasant to walk out on. The breakfast was good.
Cons: The balcony was too small to allow for chairs. The room itself was small. The bathtub was stained. The hotel is adjacent to a waterfront plaza which seemed a bit incongruous with a small French town.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the room had a great sea view.
Cons: The stairways and the balcony needed redecorating and the bedroom had paint missing and wallpaper coming away from the wall.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel lobby has a nice feel to it with vintage furniture and accessories. The hotel lies very central, between the beach and the city center with its restaurants and shops.
Cons: The room itself is outdated, e.g. the wallpaper is peeling off and you have to hold the shower in your hand.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Location amazing if you have a room with a sea view.
Cons: There was a lounge area with a sofa and chairs next to the breakfast room but it could only be accessed during breakfast and the check in period between 16:00 and 19:30. It would have been nice to have had access to it during the day, particularly if the weather was bad.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good clean room, nice bathroom, comfy bed. Excellent location.
Cons: The building was a little shabby outside, but no matter.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: cleanliness, location, kind staff
Cons: size of room
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location is excellent.
Cons: Hotel is seriously outdated. Needs couple of coats of nice bright paint on walls. Reminded me of an institution not a hotel. Carpet in hotel is disgusting. Old, brown, dark and reeks of old cigarettes and heaven knows what else. Lights in hall to rooms didnt work properly. Could barely see either day or night. No lift and very steep dark stairwell that is dangerous at night due to NO Lighting. Dark brown hole. Room while ok was also horribly dark and dreary. Only view on ocean made it tolerable. Entrance to hotel is at the back by the ocean boardwalk, which is a plus off season but would be real negative during summer.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was superb
Cons: The bathroom mirror lamp did not work. The bedside lamp was falling off the wall. The landing lamp on the first floor did not work

5.0 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: Booked 3 rooms none of which had doors on the wardrobe sized shower toilet rooms so you are on view while using the toilet. Ok for a one night stop. We stayed for 2 nights. Showers Not thermostatically controlled which wasn't great for our small children.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: No welcome from a member of staff. I was on the third floor. - difficult for me. Stairs badly lit and dangerous. VERY disappointing.
7.1 Good
Pros: Non-standard furniture, we liked the old style. The landscape is nice and that is why we stopped by on our way back from holidays. We were a bit surprised that many things in the city looked a bit as having had better times.
Cons: There is no door between the bedroom and the bathroom. A bit strange to have the toile practically in the room, however, we found an extra one on the floor downstairs.
5.8 Okay
Cons: there was no tea or coffee ,and no kettle
6.3 Good
Pros: The price was moderate .
Cons: The washbasin and shower were not separated from the bedroom .
6.7 Good
Pros: Cheap. Probably ok for a single night stay
Cons: The property was very and smelt musty obviously some damp/condensation in the room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel looks not too good outside, but inside is absolutely comfortable, clean and charming.
