10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds. Really comfortable beds. Very nice staff. Great price. Big room. Big rooms. Awesome parking behind the hotel.
Cons: They don’t run the AC during the day. It gets HOT in Calabria during the day. I did ask if they would turn it on early and they kindly obliged. Also, the breakfast is really non existent.

Pros: A cozy and welcoming BnB in the center of the historic district of this charming town. We enjoyed the comfortable beds and homemade sweets for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing. This is my favorite B&B and I’ve been traveling for 3 months. Extremely clean, everything best quality from furniture to bed to coffee maker. Ennio and his family are so nice and work so hard. Such a delicious breakfast! I want to go back! Thank you for everything!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is old and quirky in a good way. The room was huge and could sleep 4, we only used the 2 twin beds. Breakfast was standard Italian breakfast—sweet rolls, eggs, ham, fresh strawberries, coffee. Parking is at the church, about a 2 block walk. The owner carried our luggage to and from. The owners do not speak English but we were able to communicate using Google Translate. They appear not to live on the property, but answered our phone call when we arrived early. Bring a flashlight if you’re out at night because the entry doesn’t have a light (that we could find). B&B del Borgo is a great little hotel to stay in if you’re researching family in that region of Calabria.
Cons: Cleaning person forgot to give us a second set of towels. B&B Del Borgo discounted our room because of the oversight (we did not ask). The hot water was very temperamental in the room. sister-in-law got it warm enough to take a shower. I could not. Hotel looked at it and sure enough they got hot water.
Hotel Il Baronetto - San Marco Argentano - Building

8.0 Excellent (108 reviews)
C$ 109+
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was Good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything was perfect
Cons: I like everything
9.6 Excellent
Pros: typical italian breakfast with cake, Croissants, fresh Juice. For coffee you have the choice between cafe americano (not recommended for german tourists - it is like a strong german Nescafe) or you ask for cafe italiano or cafe italiano doppio - a real fantastic Espresso or espressio doppio. Abolutely friendly Service at breakfast you feel like coming home!
Cons: The restaurant is closed at the moment. In the evening this is no problem - only ca. 500 m away is a very good Pizzeria, or you go down the main street (direction Esso..) and you will find a very nice little store with everything you need. So no real problem - and if you ask the hotel staff you will get every help you want - and this in perfect english!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing. This is NOT a hotel. Who rated it 3 star? They rent two two bedroom apartments, maybe one other also, in a large building. No kitchen equipment, cutlery etc and no kettle as mentioned, I thought, on their web page.
Cons: Accommodation and breakfast. Breakfast was a few prepackaged breads etc . Nothing for gluten free eg egg, cheese, ham never mind breads or biscuits. Truly depressing. The worst review I felt I had to do. Also it was freezing - an end November one night stay to forget.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was very clean and nice , staff members are very friendly and always ready to help. The Enviroment was very chill and comfortable. The hotel is close to the motorway and It is a quiet and safe place. I'd love to come back again.❤

7.5 Good
Pros: Swimming pool and jacuzzi not available in October Place is lacking a bit of tidyness but overall good place to stay for 1-2 nights for this price
7.9 Good
Pros: Good breakfast, Mrs. Dorota was very helpful and caring. Beautiful view from balcony, we saw both sea and mountains. Close to nice cities like Cetraro or Diamante. Lovely pool.
Cons: A/C was a bit loud. Private beach was quite far from the hotel, so we didn't even go there, altough there are other beaches nearby.
7.1 Good
Pros: The view
Cons: Off season
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful clean cool pool. No sunbeds though. We inadvertently paid for meals and were a bit sceptical but they were beautiful. 3 courses for lunch and dinner and brekki. Very good value. Tasty home cooking. Rooms were sound proof which was great as we were right on the highway. Nice big balcony with sea views but with the highway in between Staff were really friendly and so eager to please
Cons: Everything was a bit shabby and mess everywhere but the staff we lovely and things ran smoothly
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice pool and gardens Nice location Everything very clean Staff friendly
Cons: In house restaurant could not cater for Gluten free requirements which meant we had to go out and get an evening meal and went without breakfast the following morning. In this day and age this should be easy to accommodate.Usually hotels in Italy will find a way to ensure Coeliacs can have a meal but this time there was not even an offer which spoiled the experience a little.
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good, generally staff were very nice and helpful. it was nice to have use of the pool. availability of bar and restaurant were useful. Hotel is in a beautiful, relatively unspoilt area of Calabria, with a handful of very nice bars and restaurants within walking distance. and with beautiful beaches and clear blue sea.
Cons: On a couple of occasions, the pool was not cleaned until very late morning - on one occasions, I personally removed a coffee table that had blown in the night before and removed leaves and debris myself with the help of another guest. The hotel advertises that there is a kettle provided in the room - they do not provide this. in addition they advertise the use of bicycles - they apparently no longer do this and have not done so for some time. location at night is very noisy, due to the main road and the railway line running directly in front of the hotel. This made it difficult to sleep, despite shutting 2 sets of double glazed doors. Difficult to walk any distance without having to walk on roads that have no pavements, unless you take quite long detours on roads that are very steep. owner/manageress? was somewhat erratic in her behaviour to guests - at times very charming but at other times barely polite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was tasty, the lady that served us was perfect. Location was very good with a great restaurant next door.
Cons: we had a room that was in the underground for the first day but then they moved us to a room with a view of the sea that was just marvellous!

5.4 Okay
Pros: Beautiful setting in medieval town.
Cons: Claimed to be 5 star hotel...but it was pretty rustic. They cater mainly to wedding parties, not travelers.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice to stay in an old castle. Clean rooms. Good aircon. Free parking.
Cons: Overpriced. Nice enough, but very bored staff. Breakfast mainly consisted op pre-wrapped cereals and crackers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful old "Castle" run by a family.
Cons: Nothing not to like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room had a balcony with a spectacular view and a terrace overlooking the courtyard. Our room had beautiful antiques and was very large. The staff was very professional and our dinner in a gorgeous dinning room was perfect.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, full of attractive and authentic touches (monogrammed linen, historic nightstands). Warm staff, stunning views.
Cons: Some public space, or outdoor space, would be nice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect little village in the middle of Calabria. Ancient and sleepy, just the way we wanted it to be. A castle, with a tremendous view. We stayed the night and where practically all alone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unbelievable location. Beautifully restored castle, absolute joy to stay and restaurant was superb. Must stay if in area.
Cons: Beautiful location and lovely rooms with incredible history.
7.1 Good
Pros: Fabulous position and exciting to get to by car or on foot.
Cons: OK it was end of season but the staff could have been trained to speak slowly to someone who didn't know a lot of Italian. No info about hotel or room. The dinner was awful - under ripe melon, uneatably tough steak and seafood risotto made by adding fish sauce to boiled rice rather than cooking the rice in fish stock. Fortunately we found an excellent restaurant in town - San Francesco's. Breakfast was OK and the waiter was simpatico

Altomonte is a lovely small historic town set high in the Calabrian mountains. It’s a good base for exploring the local countryside, yet only 15 minutes drive from the main Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway.

Cons: Probably there is a lot of noise in the square in the evening from the bar that is downstairs, but around 1 or 2 am everything goes quiet again.

Pros: Alesandra was Amazing! We got into town late and she met us to show us parking as the streets were blocked due to repairs at the square! Alesandra went out of her way for us! Super lovely! She also gave us options for a room! Above Main Street nice view of center, or back room, much quieter! As it was Saturday night we picked back room! Perfect and very clean!
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely, cosy, spacious accommodation with two Juliette balconies. Gorgeous old wooden furniture and a huge bathroom. Right in the very centre, on the historic piazza. Frederico was a friendly host. Breakfast was at a cafe/bar in the piazza.
Cons: There was loud music playing in the piazza until late hours
8.0 Excellent
Pros: great location (but if you prefere silence, don't want rooms with windows to the street = party evenings on the square), good WiFi, nice owner, little later check-out and luggage storage till afternoon wasn't problem
7.1 Good
Pros: I like location
Cons: No hot water in the lavatory at all. Once hot water in the shower cabin cut off suddendly. Not enogh electric ligthing. Not enogh shelves in the bathroom. No glasses for drinking whatever you want. Breakfast very poor, only one coffe and one pastry unit (no tea, no fruit, no toasts, no juice, etc). We suggest charge a little more and offer better breakfast.
