10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful fortress Parador in a lovely town. Just a little imagination and you're taken back in time. The staff were gracious and most helpful. The facilities were topnotch. Free semi-private parking at the site. The restaurant served delicious regional cuisine. Would gladly stay here again.
Cons: No complaints whatsoever
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place in lovely location
Cons: Nothing
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location was nice but very difficult navigating through the narrow streets. The hotel is imposing and very nicely restored.
Cons: Staff were unfriendly and seemed miserable. Ther food was the worst I have ever had in a Parador.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The shower was amazing!
Cons: The restaurant and staff were terrible. Worst food I have ever eaten, it truly was disgusting and very expensive. We complained to the hotel Manager, he was very polite but blamed it on our English taste, not very impressed by that comment. I had cod, which didn't taste fresh and had a strange consistency to the cod I know. It wasn't accompanied by anything else, just a chunk of cod. The bread served to us at the start was tasty but very dry. We noticed that we were served with the dregs of a basket, as other couples arrived within minutes they had the choice of a fresh basket piled high with choice. We were made to feel unwelcome as soon as we arrived at the restaurant and were severely let down by the standard of food. I would add that despite being told they had served many dishes of cod that day (apparently over 50) with no complaint, the restaurant only had 4 couples eating whilst we were there.
