Quiet and nice surroundings with ample parking - once there easy arrangements for coming and going to visit all the beautiful places and friendly advice.
Just finding it in the first place as the streets were very steep and narrow!

Large country house set in extensive leafy grounds with pool and outside seating areas. Quiet, ideal for reading, and as the name suggests, writing. Wonderful friendly staff and a lovely proprietor. Great breakfast. Easy access to Sintra town ( but not straightforward to find by car due to one-way systems)

The overall location and the way the villa garden is designed.
The room that we were allocated was in the basement and the sound proofing was bad, we could hear everything from the room upstairs.

hospatility of the host. great welcome and explanations of the daughter.
the bongalow was musty/stale. the smell was therefore really stuffy. the windows were not clean, the terrase looked not maintained, leaves were not wiped away. we did not use the kitchen, a sink should shine. the gray carpet on the floor would better be moved away, it looks old, dity. all together gives not a welcoming impression. the bungalow was not appropriate for such a price level as we paid. it seemed like a long time ago since the room was properly cleand.
