Picking up the car took almost two hours, between child away install mishaps (wrong equipment for proper install at first) and upselling attempts, including saying Kayak’s insurance was “worthless” and needed to be in addition to coverage offered by Sixt. The agent that helped me out was great - his name was "The Anthony" - he was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and kind. The car was nice, too, but it had a lot of dings and scratches on it. It looked like most of them were noted on the report, but then when I went to take it back, they accused me of damaging the hood of the car (I did not). I've never had a rental car place try something like that before. I trusted Sixt to be fair and honest about their car, but now I feel betrayed.Reviewed 13 Aug. 2023

Windshield had chip on driver side noted on rental agreement. When I turned it in the agent said they should not have given me that car as it could have cracked more and been dangerous. Said car should have been taken out of service and repaired. I have received an email from “ damage department asking how damage occurred . The car I booked on Kayak was not available, so I ended up being up-charged about $175 for a different vehicle. Upon returning the vehicle, the Sixt employee (in Denver) pointed to a TINY chip on the windshield and said he was concerned about it and essentially tried to charge me extra! I was NOT hit by a rock and the vehicle was parked inside the entire time. I asked for a receipt at the time of returning the vehicle and he said he could not provide me with one and it would be emailed to me. The whole experience was shady and I will not be using Sixt ever again.Reviewed 31 Jul. 2023
