10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed at this hotel many times and find the rooms lovely, the restaurant food is very good and make our stay one to look forward to. We are able to leave very early without too much disturbance and would stay again.
Cons: Everything was good.
7.5 Good
Pros: Did not have breakfast. Hotel very comfortable.
Cons: We do not have any suggestions, the hotel is as expected.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A comfortable hotel with helpful staff. The continental breakfast is very good.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent restaurant and it wasvery busy the night we stayed -in a town with lots of other good restaurants Lovely breakfast too . Would have liked another night to explore area
7.5 Good
Pros: The restaurant attached was amazing
Cons: Reception. There was one lady who I think didn’t like us. She had a sour face I think she was the manageress. The rest were brilliant and especially the guy who sort of managed the garage, pool and the drinks around the pool.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant was amazing typical French quisine lovely food great wine
Cons: No air con
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel is very traditional and a little old fashioned but that has some charm. The restaurant is good, if very traditional, and opens late on a Sunday which can be unusual in France.
Cons: A little old fashioned. Decor is clean but dated.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room and pool
Cons: No red wine at the Quercy bar. The barman made everyone drink white, surely he could have got some from the restaurant.
La Vieille Auberge - Souillac - Building
8.4 Excellent (265 reviews)
C$ 109+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at La Vieille Auberge in Souillac (Quartier Malvarès), you'll be steps from Musee de l'Automate and 2 minutes by foot from Abbey Sainte-Marie. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7.1 Good
Pros: The locality to the town. The staff were friendly.
Cons: The secured paid parking was too tight and they wanted your car keys in case they had to move it, but if they damaged it, not their fault! The socket which held the shower head was missing, hence had to hold it whilst trying to wash! The street light was directly into the room, blind was not 'black out'! Had to walk through one of the dining areas to get to our room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Updated room in an old auberge. Very good restaurant. Friendly staff. Central location for exploring Dordogne Region.
Cons: No lift.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: lovely well maintained old building right in the centre of a nice little town. secure offstreet parking extremly good restaurant on site serving local produce/specialities. Foie gras three ways highly recommended as a starter ......Saddle of lamb one of the best I have had anywhere
Cons: Unfortunately, the logis has no ground floor rooms, so a bit of an expedition up the stairs on crutches. but not really a dislike
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel is centrally located in a quiet road near the old part of town. Our room was spacious and reasonably comfortable. The dining room in the hotel was full on a Monday night in April, and the quality of the meal was very good: mainly local & regional fare, accompanied by a good choice of local wines (we followed the sommelier's recommendation, which was ideal for our menu choice)
Cons: The hotel is very dated, and appears in need of refurbishment. The breakfast was not particularly good value: why do French hotel breakfasts always offer a wide choice of pastries & carbohydrate based food, yet lack healthy options (eg in this case, muesli)?
7.9 Good
Pros: Only passing through Souillac on a long journey but had a comfortable stay. Good dinner and breakfast. Great location close to the main town.
7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent Food for Dinner in the restaurant
Cons: n/a
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room was pretty big, new and very clean. Quality of the stay was definitely beyond our expectations regarding the price. Would recommend to go there for sure.
Cons: No elevator, but understandable as it is an ancient (but super clean) two stories building.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: very nice old style hotel, good restaurant
7.1 Good
Pros: This was a trip down memory lane for us as we stayed in Les Ambassadeurs many times years ago. same name but location has changed and of course ownership. I would call this a restaurant with rooms. Our room was very clean small bed and balcony fairly basic . The restaurant was amazing ! We chose the most expensive menu and it was well worth it .best food we have had in France for a long time and we have spent a months there in the last 3years . The pool also looked wonderful but there was a storm that day so we couldn't use it. The town itself is pleasant but the drive through the Dordogne the only real reason to visit.
Cons: Was charged for a couple of items we didn't get and as the printer was out of ink the bill was hand written so difficult to check quickly

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location for a one night stop - close to A20. Also I guess good for those wishing to tour the Dordogne region.
Cons: Hotel was a little cold but we were probably the first guests of the season. An electric heater was supplied in the bedroom.
7.1 Good
Pros: Hotel was what I expected, with regard to the photo's and price of The hotel rooms and breakfast room were a little outdated Breakfast was good, the same for the swimming pool. Very relaxt after a long day drive.
Cons: There was no warm water in the morning, something with the water pipe. But it was fixed very quickly and the hotel owner felt very sorry about it. Tip for the owners: try to learn speaking English, makes conversation with your quests easier :-)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location - just off the main road from the tourist office! I loved the antiquey place - lots of interest in the furnishings and objets in the house - although my wife thought it "cluttered". Excellent breakfast too - who said the French breakfast is a baguette and a cup of chocolate? We were "stuffed", no need for lunch! When I say it was "antiquey", I don't mean that the facilities were not modern.
Cons: Nothing (except the rain that day ...)!
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Host speaks English and is very helpful. Rooms are small but with character. location is perfect, lovely terrace. Free parking, free wifi. Lots of sites to visit in the area.
Cons: Not much to do around town in the evening (in September), but that can also be its charm.

Pros: Near 3 nice restaurants
Cons: Shower was in small bath tub could easily be turned into a nice shower cubical
6.3 Good
Pros: The best thing about the hotel was that they had a room available in August at short notice. And the friendly and entertaining hostess on the desk which made our stay at a pretty ropey hotel bearable.
Cons: All a bit dated and shabby. Air conditioning didn't work. Overpriced.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Hotel clean and OK for overnight stopover. Well positioned for old town and easy parking just around the corner.
Cons: Hotel was dated, very basic room. Shower couldn't be hooked on the wall, so hand shower only...
Le Grand Hôtel - Souillac - Building
7.1 Good (89 reviews)
6.7 Good
Pros: Location very good, Staff very helpful & considerate. The breakfast was value for money unlike Hôtel-Restaurant Le Rouffillac...which 8€ & 5€ for juice & a croisant & yogurt??? Bar restaurant good size & food good but expensive.
Cons: The decor was very dated, room smelled control had batteries so out of date...when i replaced with my brand new the tv antenna wasnt tuned. Shower as the room was dated! No view...whole room needed updating. Power wasnt too secure. Parking due to a sunday fate (which wasnt noted) was a fair way away from hotel & not clear the the blue parking zones only had 2hr limit. The hotel wifi wasnt...& was open & unsecure. Hall light did work so diff to unlock room door. Lock not very secure to the door
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location was ok for our travel.
Cons: Tiny, airless room. Tv not working, toilet didn’t flush properly, shower took 3-5 mins for hot water to come through. You couldn’t literally swing a cat in the room. Ask to change if allocated 302. Staff were pleasant but not overly friendly. Breakfast at €10 per person was steep.
