Pros: We booked this hotel quite last minute for a short honeymoon and it was a bargain price for three nights. Our cozy double room came with free breakfast, a window which overlooked the garden and lake, the bed was very comfy, room nice and warm and the shower was amazing! The staff were brilliant! Nothing was too much for them and they were all so lovely to talk to to. Breakfast was lovely, with very quick service and we even treated ourselves to dinner one night which was even better! There was a wedding on the Friday night of our stay and we were expecting to be kept awake but we didn't hear a thing! I think we'll definitely return and splash out on a deluxe room next time. Thankyou.

Pros: Only 7 min drive to Cheshire oaks nice clean and comfy would definitely go back again
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and provided us with everything asked for. The shower was excellent with plenty of hot water and the room was very clean.
Cons: The room was rather cold on arrival and there was a strange smell of drains. However once the open windows were closed and radiator temperature was raised, the temperature was fine. The smell was less the next day but still evident. For our liking the bed was very hard and rather small for a double. A little more imagination could be used for the tea and coffee facilities in the room but it was there to be used! Value for money? Well it wasn’t overly expensive but a little more comfort would have increased the score for this small but friendly hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A fabulous find. Food was fantastic. Will definitely recommend.
Cons: Slight problem with the heating in room but it was sorted quickly and efficiently.

Breakfast very poor, Bacon inedible, like leather been under heat to long, cheapest sausages you can buy, no tomato, mushrooms, only 1 juice option tables bare on arrival, no staff with any advice on obtaining breakfast. Our rate was £129.00 for the room with breakfast, reduced from £154.00, top rate, lowest standards. Cons: too expensive poor hygiene and no choises for the breakfast
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Nobody at reception, after waiting 20 minutes and ringing the service bell several times, had to ring the hotel whilst stood in the reception to tell them that I had arrived and have been waiting to get my room key only to be instructed to go to a keysafe outside the front door, put a code in the safe to access my room key. The room did not have a bathroom en suite, had to come out my room and walk down a corridor to access a bathroom which had no bath but a shower cubicle that was just big enough to fit in and the largest towel provided was not much bigger than a tea towel.
3.0 Mediocre

Pros: Like the decore, big beds and friendly staff
Cons: It’s out the way but that’s not the hotels fault
1.0 Poor
Pros: nothing
Cons: Staff rude and unfriendly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing.... perfect for my needs
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: It was close to the shopping centre that we were visiting.
Cons: They’ve charged me twice at two different charges. First of all it took us ages to find as there are roadworks on the road that the hotel is on and nobody advised us that the road was actually closed and we would need to be escorted by highway maintenance to the hotel. We arrived and they had no booking under my name despite knowing all my details and being able to charge me. They then proceeded to give me and my boyfriend 3 single beds even though I had booked a double room. Eventually we got a small double room with a bathroom with rusting chrome features. We were assured that we would only be charged for one room, we weren’t. The hotel have obviously charged us for the booking that they ‘couldn’t find’ and then the room that we stayed in. I’ve since called the hotel to query this as both charges have left my bank account. To be told they will contact booking.com as they haven’t done a thing wrong. I myself contacted booking.com who tried to contact the hotel to advise they have taken the money and therefore they will need to issue the refund. The hotel didn’t answer to booking.com so I called myself to be told ‘I’ll call booking.com myself when I get a minute’ as if they didn’t believe nor want to refund me my own money that they have taken incorrectly. I asked when this would be done and was told I will receive a call when they have contact booking.com. At this point no one has confirmed they will issue a refund and I’m still at a loss of money. Absolute sham of a hotel. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
4.0 Okay
Cons: Lift didn't work and as we had some older people in our company this made it a little difficult. Some of the lights in the room didn't work which made it difficult to get ready. Lack of staffing. Had to go on the hunt for staff when I wanted to order a drink and bar snacks. The heat in the function room was absolutely ridiculous and when mentioned to the manager he totally dismissed us, a very arrogant small man.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed very comfortable. Good breakfast. Lovely room.
Cons: Shower was weak and hard to get the right temperature. No towels in the swimming pool changing rooms.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: I'm fussy about beds, so I check them before I get in them

Pros: Everything, the staff were friendly as soon as we entered! We said it was our anniversary and they went above and beyond to make it a memorable stay, we got upgraded to a suite, a personal card and drinks vouchers. Made the weekend one to remember!
Cons: Nothing, had a brilliant time.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff who worked the bar in the marquee - young man & woman they were great! Excellent customer service! Waiting on staff worked hard to get food out together. Comfortable stay.
Cons: My friends had breakfast and they complained it was very pricey, also they were cold in the room until they got into bed. I am disabled (mobility back injury) and when we went into the Marquee for drinks there was only one chair so i had to sit alone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The comfort, the lovely room, the welcoming staff, beautiful surroundings, well furnished and I would highly recommend it.
Cons: Can’t think of anything

Cons: The black mold around the bath in one corner
9.0 Excellent
Cons: The food in the restaurant was acceptable but over priced
7.4 Good
Pros: Small but fairly nice gym with pool and spa area. Evening meal was very good. Staff very friendly and welcoming in all areas we used (gym/spa, bar, restaurant, main reception). WI Fi worked well in room.
Cons: Cooked breakfast was poor, cardboard hash browns and what tasted like powdered scrambled egg. Room is very average and main section has barely any lighting so it is permanently dull. Sauna was broken. Resented paying £5 to park.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb stay, we were there for the racing. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Will stay again for sure. Excellent value for money
6.7 Good
Pros: The food has improved immensely
Cons: Although the rooms have been given a makeover the bathrooms are still very tired. Chipped doors dull cream interior and the metal plug holes are still rusty from the Thistle days!
