Pros: It was in a great location. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property is located on the seafront and the shopping center was within short walking distance. Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the very good English breakfast.
Cons: As our room was on the third floor, 3 flights of stairs were quite a feat at the end of the day! However, the view from the room compensated for this.
5.0 Okay
Pros: It is a lovely building, kept well. Great location on the seafront, especially as we were there for the White Rock Theatre which was 4 mins walk along the seafront. We would have had a fantastic view of the seafront if it wasn't for Storm Jorge hitting the coast at that moment (we were 65 stairs up !!). It is also close to a lot of restaurants and cafes etc. so we had a great Indian a few doors along from the hotel. Also great to have a fridge in the room.
Cons: The room was a lot smaller than it appeared in the photos. There was a couple of feet between the walls and the bed on either side. The bed itself was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on - like a bit of padded hardboard balancing on springs. Did not sleep very well at all. The listed building status means that the windows are not modern : the sound of the storm was quite evident all through the night, and there was a little pool of water on the windowsill the next morning.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, comfy bed, quiet, plenty of tea bags & milk, good breakfast. Nice hosts.
Cons: No one on reception when we arrived. Shower was a bit difficult to negotiate.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was really good and the hosts were amazingly friendly. I really enjoyed my room and the location - just a short walk from the beach and historical places. Breakfast was included and it was very good. Unbeatable value for the money. Highly recommended.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Easy parking
Cons: No answer when we knocked on front door when we arrived. Had to telephone from the doorstep to get a response. Grubby accommodation that hadn't been updated for ages. Filthy windows, flaking paintwork, stained ceilings and carpets. Heavy curtains badly hung. Had to ask for heating to be supplied to the room.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Bed was comfy
Cons: Breakfast had a vegetarian option which was great but they were very sparse with the amount! Only 1 egg half a tomato 1 sausage and 1 piece of toast!! Also, the lady showing us to our room informed us that sometimes the handle comes off on the door! Why wasn’t it repaired? The dining room was very dusty too
