Tucked off the high street of the market town of Swaffham in Norfolk, the family-run Strattons hotel is a beautiful Queen Anne Palladian villa. Whether you're in the mood for kitsch and contemporary or antiques and fabric-festooned decadence, each room is individually decorated with a unique theatrical flair. Not just a pretty face, the hotel has won awards for its restaurant and eco-policies; it's a child-friendly hotel, too.
Pros: Amazing breakfast, the comfiest bed I have slept on, best night sleep in a long time.
Pros: The setting was very relaxing and the staff were very pleasant and helpful and the food was very tasty and well presented. The decor in the hotel was very fitting and created a good ambience. The drinks were gorgeous.
Cons: The restaurant decor could have added more atmosphere. Needed some outside lighting where the seating area is.
Pros: Love love love this boutique hotel - I have stayed here now on a few occasions and every time the staff are really friendly and welcoming (as is the hotel cat). The rooms are beautiful and the locally cooked food is out of this world. Would highly recommend.
Cons: There is nothing I don't like about this hotel.
Pros: Bed had very nice bedding breakfast was great shame had no bar but a nice building
Pros: Everything, its an absolute pleasure to visit such a beautiful place.
Pros: Fantastic hotel with a lot of character! Professional and friendly staff. Confy bed, clean room! Very good restaurant! Beautiful breakfast!
Cons: I have nothing to say here! The hotel is a perfect place to stay!
Pros: I have come here for some peace and quiet to finish a big project. The room is so beautiful with amazing detail and colours. Everything in perfect working order. Great tea and coffee in the room with real milk in the fridge, huge bathroom. The interiors are just WOW throughout the hotel. Every detail thought about and beautifully created, amazing pieces of art placed in perfect positions. The whole building is stunning and interesting. Location is just off the main road so peaceful in your rooms, even with the windows open. The garden amazing, the coco cafe wonderful foods, breakfast delightful. Good WIFI. The staff amazing and helpful. Its now my dream place to stay.
Cons: That I have to leave at some point!!!
Pros: Location was great, staff were very friendly and (importantly) bed/room was very comfortable. The hotel had a lovely vibe to it which made our stay extremely relaxing. If we are ever back in the area we will stay again. Would definitely recommend. 10/10
Pros: Lovely room on ground floor and people very helpful. Had a nice evening meal and the location great in middle of Swafham. Enjoyable stay

With a stay at Bedingfeld Arms in King's Lynn, you'll be a 3-minute walk from Oxburgh Hall and within a 5-minute drive of Gooderstone Water Gardens. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Rural location, and right opposite Oxborough Hall, which was why we chose it. Bed was comfy and bathroom ok. Fan was welcome as room was stuffy and hot. Had nice meal outside in the evening.
Cons: The flies! Having to swat and kill them before we could relax in the room. We realise the hot weather had resulted in a population explosion, but with climate change, this will happen more often in the summer. Trying to keep flies off food while eating breakfast was not pleasant. Having an air conditioner in the breakfast room and keeping the doors and closed during such infestations would improve the situation.
Pros: Set in a nice quiet village
Pros: Dog friendly great location clean and very welcoming
Cons: At the price off £150 per night breakfast should be included
Pros: Best situated near Oxburgh Hall
Cons: No hairdryer in the room, room situated opposite the kitchen door with a lot of smell and noise, room needed a brush up
Pros: Location - added bonus being right next to National Trust's Oxborough Hall. General facilities. Didn't eat or drink there.
Cons: Toilet roll holder and towel rail in bathroom would have been nice.
Pros: Great comfortable bed, location was fantastic, friendly staff.
Cons: Upon entering room there was a mild smell of damp, and the room had a number of flies in it. Upon entering the bathroom it was clear that the damp smell was coming from here as there was a lot of mold inside the shower door. The curtains were badly hung with missing curtains hooks they should black out curtains. Bedside table light didn’t work. There had appeared to be a dog/s previously in the room as my socks were covered in dog hairs. Proximity to the staff area meant it was noisy after closing time with a security light that kept going off. Each of these is relatively minor however collectively they lead to an experience which was inferior to that expected. Fly screen was definitely needed rather than the fly squatter (which has considerable use)
Pros: Nice accommodation.very comfortable bed
Pros: Comfy bed. Spacious room. Decorated nicely.
Cons: Cobwebs on beams. Only old dining-style chairs to sit on. Sash window only stayed open if pushed right up as frame was crooked. No where at all to hang any clothes. No hangers, no rail, nothing. Room looked nice on surface but lacked facilities. No biscuits with tea/coffee.
Pros: Lovely, quiet, spacious location. The staff were friendly and always keen to assist. The food was perfect and good selection of beers. The room was perfect, clean and the bed was comfortable. Recommended.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, microwave in a common area, and refrigerator in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location great as we needed to stay in this area over night.
Cons: Bed very very soft and bouncy, not what we are used to when you are used to a memory foam mattress. Host greeted us upon arrival but didn't see anyone when we left the next day! Therefore not even a thank you for staying etc
Pros: The buffet breakfast included in price could not have been better and we had a wonderful evening meal as well .
Pros: Owners were welcoming, friendly and engaging.
Cons: We weren’t staying longer
Pros: Very quiet location which suited us and the evening meals in the restaurant were excellent. The large bed was exceptionally comfortable.
Cons: Everything just fine for us.
Pros: This is a good place for a couple of nights and we found the owners very helpful and friendly. Dinner in the restaurant was very nice indeed, as was breakfast. Parking was easy and for where we wanted to be, the location was good and very quiet.
Cons: We were slightly disappointed with the room and bathroom which, whilst being a good size, both need a 21st century makeover.
Pros: The staff were friendly and accommodating. They responded positively to requests.
Cons: Nothing to not like
Pros: Owners were very friendly and accommodating
Pros: Friendly people, excellent food, good comfortable accomodation, what more could you want
Pros: The beds were lovely. We both slept really well. Carol and Roger were great hosts and all food was excellent. We couldn't have stayed anywhere better.
Cons: There was absolutely nothing to complain about.
Pros: We stayed over for one night and was friendly, comfortable , and breakfast was just perfect thank you we will be visiting you again

Pros: Comfortable bed & friendly reception staff
Cons: Breakfast starts at 7:00am. We arrived at 06:50 ready for an early start, first ones into the restaurant area. We had a coffee and come 7:00am all other guests turned up. For some reason the staff chose to serve us after they had served everyone else. Didn’t receive breakfast untill 07:30.
Pros: Very friendly helpful staff, very nice 'Green Room' for breakfast and evening dining
Cons: No Lift.......but appreciate it's an old building No Air con in room, but the small electric fan helped
Pros: Excellent, friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable room. Good Breakfast.
Cons: The building and the furnishings showing signs of their age, but this did not detract from the experience and was fair enough, considering the price.
Pros: The property was lovely and clean and the staff were excellent. The food was excellent and the price wasn’t bad.
Cons: The rooms are getting ready for an update and the pillows weren’t very comfortable. However it was very clean.
Pros: Friendly staff make you feel welcome
Cons: Needs a refurb very dated
Pros: Clean comfy room , very friendly staff
Pros: Ideal location with a decent car park. Good selection for breakfast, staff very friendly and helpful.
Pros: A warm and friendly hotel in the heart of the town. Room was comfortable and quiet
Pros: Comfy bed, light and airy room
Cons: Small shower room, but did the job. Furniture in bedrooms could do with an upgrade.
