Cons: We had no concerns.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: What we liked most about our stay (one night) was the fabulous food and the attention from the owner. The evening meal experience was a delight as was the company of the owner and staff. Best food in South Africa. We stayed in one of the more expensive cottages at the top. Room very really well decorated and the bed comfortable. Lovely indigenous planting around all the cottages and pretty pool area.
Cons: Because of the 2 hourly power cuts in S Africa, no lights air con and wifi. This was just before dinner, leaving us in a dark warm room. (this was obviously not the fault of the hotel). The garden when we visited was full of mosquitos as it had just rained. Difficult to keep them out of the room. No wifi in room

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved loved loved our stay at Augusta de Mist! We booked for two nights. Unfortunately during the two days we stayed here, it was raining cats and dogs. We did not get to enjoy the lovely property. The owner was super nice and upgraded us to a bigger room, which was really nice! The room was big with a little kitchenette, living room with two big chairs and a spacious bathroom with bath. Breakfast was lovely and super tasty. We also had a 7 course dinner at Augusta. Something you should not miss when you are here! We enjoyed the food and had such a great evening.
Cons: Wifi is not available in the rooms, only in the main room. Normally we don't mind, but with the rain we had to look for things to do and where to go where it was not raining.

Pros: Beautiful Edwardian property, authentically furnished, in peaceful setting close to centre of town. We had a really warm, cheerful welcome from our hosts, the accommodation was most comfortable with a lovely lounge in which to relax and have tea, cookies and cake - and home brewed! The garden was also a delight but sadly the weather did not allow us to enjoy it. We particularly appreciated the lovely quality bed-linen! Thank you Marianna! Every good wish, John and Marie (Isle of Wight, UK)

It is within easy walking distance of some very good restaurants and the breakfast offered is both comprehensive and delicious. Mariana, the hostess, runs a very slick operation with the assistance of Kate and Kane and guests are really treated to a wonderful experience. We are sure to return when we are in the area.
