Very friendly staff and comfortable room!! Enough space and had even a small table to be able to work and study. Also I am usually very cold in other accommodation. So was a nice change that it was very nicely warm especially considering the very grey weather.
Location was excellent, in the quiet district at 15 min walk from the Tartu centre. On departure, hosts gave some apples from the garden.
Sound isolation was poor. Every time my neighbours went to bathroom I heard water in pipes; but this is something you should consider booking any old house. Quite narrow check in and check out times. No sleeping in, check out till 10.
Nice view from the window
1. At least 30 mins walk from town centre, the receptionist said 15 min, well, could be if you drive. Nearer busstop is a 15 min walk, if you aren't too slow. 2. Small room, small bathroom. No kettle, only one small glass. 3. The receptionist whom I met on the arrival day wasn't helpful at all 4. No one cleans up or tells customers what to do with the bin, I kept mine for 3 days 5. Wooden floors, super thin walls, you can hear your neighbors murmuring. Even walking inside your room, you feel guilty as you disturb others. 6. Ridiculous design of the sink and tap.
The host was smiling and friendly. I did check in at 0930pm and it was later than the official check in, yet the host came quickly after I called and I could check in. The old fashioned stuff I really enjoyed.
There was no proper seperator between shower part and toilet part, so it's easy to flood the bathroom. There were bits and pieces that did not fall into the old fashioned style the place had.. Have to lock the outside door.
