Pros: good apart-hotel for a reasonable price...
7.0 Good
Pros: No corkscrew but were given one immediately and when we reported a wobbly tap it was repaired instantly. We asked for an extra parking space for 4 hours for a visiting friend and were given one without charge. All staff were exceedingly friendly.

Pros: Proximity to town centre, restaurants and shops.
Cons: The apartment was great location because it was walking distance to the office I had my business. Great restaurants and cafes. 6.0 Good
Pros: Nice bathroom, comfy beds and located next to the city centre.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money compared with an Air B&B in the same area and an aparthotel in town. The location is perfect because I am in the process of moving to live nearby and can easily oversee the work. The kitchenette has all the necessary equipment although it lacked large cups/mugs. The room had a lovely large balcony and a pleasant seating area on the first floor landing.
Cons: It is inconvenient that there is no check in facility if one arrives on a Sunday. I had to stay elsewhere the first night and so only stayed 2 nights at the Cote Chalet. There were 2 kitchen chairs at the table but no comfortable chair for a longer stay. I am sure, however, that that could be arranged. The location suited me perfectly but it is not in the centre.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location is good and right by the lake The person who welcomed me was nice and helpful She provided with insight about the city and location
Cons: Bed was less than comfortable and room wasn't vacuumed properly Parking is not free and even though I paid I had to park in between 2 car as it was to full
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location. Nice rooms.
Cons: Breakfast was poor, without eggs. Breakfast was for additional fee. Don't offer breakfast if you can't make it reasonable. It would be better.

Pros: The breakfast was really good, very good value. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were friendly and helpful. Bed and bed linen comfortable. Big bathroom. The staff responded very well to our request for a bigger room.
Cons: would like tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Some of the rooms are very small if you have luggage and are staying for more than a night or two.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a great choice for one or two nights because it offers well-organised, clean and smartly furnished (although small) rooms in combination with good breakfast and location (within the center of Thonon and walking distance to the lake). The staff is kind and attentive. The room rate is very reasonable for this region.
Cons: The room was very compact (but it was ok for a one-night stay). The parking was paid and not included in the room rate (+ 5 euros /night).
6.3 Good
Pros: The fact that english is spoken
Cons: the reception stall never smiled it costs no more to teach them to smile, what ever kind of day they are having. They are in the people hospitality business. The food was really below expectation

Pros: Really kind staff. Clean room. Parking for free in front of the hotel. Perfect rate quality-price. If you have a car, easy access to many places to have a bath in the lake.
Cons: Small bathroom. Also very small bedside tables. Although it is clear on the hotel information that there isn’t air conditioning, there is a small fan. We haven’t had to use it, but in case of a warm night, not sure if it is enough.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, the staff was extremely friendly. We arrived on Saturday evening and they provided us with great advice about restaurants for dinner. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The window faced inner yard, but it was ok for one night. Parking was very close - 2 min walk from the hotel, 8 euro per night. Great value for money.
Cons: Everything was fine.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect to explore on foot but funicular & bus/train station very close.
Cons: Small rooms but out all day so didn’t really matter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Compared to many French breakfasts, it was great: cereal, fruit, yogurts. Staff /owners excellent. I had to have a package delivered a couple of days before I arrived and they were very helpful and communicative.
Cons: Tea and coffee facilities in the room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Charming receptionist who supplied a map with local info and marked several restaurants. Extremely helpful. Ideal location for early morning buses to Geneva as it's right by the gate routière and within 50metres of pedestrian area. Very quiet
Cons: Quite an old building but very recently decorated; en-suite shower room was small though shower was very good. Slight odour in the en-suite.
Les Baladines Residence Tourisme - Thonon-les-Bains - Bedroom

Featured amenities include multilingual staff, laundry facilities, and an elevator. Planning an event in Thonon-les-Bains? This residence has facilities measuring 592 square feet (55 square meters), including a meeting room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was quite adequate, the staff very personable and while a bit off the beaten path the hotel was well located.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location was great for accessing the town and the lakeside (via funicular). Having a sink and fridge was great given the heatwave. We could keep our fruit and water cold. Breakfast was okay but felt expensive for the additional 9 euros, probably should have gone out for breakfast. Liked that the hotel could help provided a reduced overnight parking rate for the nearby car park.
Cons: Room was a little cramped for the three of us (double plus bunk beds). I think to have 2 + 2 in the room would be difficult. Town basically shut down a 7pm so you have to go to the lakeside. I wasn't convinced I had got the best deal booking through Booking.com as the board in the entrance was showing a better room rate than the one I had secured, so my stay seemed overpriced.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the town square and shops. Easy to come and go but a problem checking in before 4pm. Close to parking building too.
Cons: Restaurants close by close at 8pm on Saturday nights, unbelievable. We didn't prebook breakfast and could not find a cafe close by that served even a croissant. Plenty of coffee though.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location in center town. Service and facilities were great.
Cons: Parking a car is clearly a challenge nearby but a covered parking is close for a decent value if you take a pass for several days. Watch-out: the parking area is clearly designed for small and midsize car.
Citotel L'echo Des Montagnes - Thonon-les-Bains - Building

8.4 Excellent (365 reviews)

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Event facilities at this hotel consist of a conference center and a meeting room. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel located in a small village/town with lots of old stone buildings. Parking available in the back yard. Room was very nice, but too warm on arrival since window shades were open and sun shining directly into room. Nice hosts. Apparently also includes a nice restaurant (didn't try it). Breakfast was super - lots of choice. Very good value.
Cons: Room was too warm on arrival, otherwise not much to complain about. Not unique to this establishment, but it seems that lights in corridors are not being used in the French alps area?! Always finding my way to my rooms in darkness...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect and staff are very helpful
Cons: All good, window didn't have a view but that's understandable in such a closed built town
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. No airconditioner in the room so it was very hot, but they let us have a small fan which made the stay ok. Breakfast was ok.
Cons: Small room, the “double bed” is only 140cm which is too small for two adults. Way too hot in the room. No airconditioner in bathroom either, very humid after shower. Not possible to have balcony doors open because there was no bug screen. Walls are not soundproof. My boyfriend had a small wound on his shoulder, and unfortunately a little bit of blood got on the sheets the first night. Instead of changing the sheets, they rotated the mattress/sheet 180 degrees so the blood was by my feet for the whole stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: tranquility
Cons: I liked everything
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location good and room clean.
Cons: Restaurant is dreadful and the waiter I had was equally dreadful.

Pros: Great location close to Lac Léman. Very helpful owner who let us put our 2 motorbikes in his secure garage. Very good breakfast, rooms very comfortable, restaurants close by so no need to get on the bike again.

Pros: Comfortable, super clean and spacious rooms.
Cons: No free parking, only council car park underneath the facility (€19.50 - 24hrs) staff disinterested since we arrived at 10.45pm after long travel from UK. We were told we couldn’t have a drink as the bar was closing at 11. Staff offered very little local knowledge to help us in our situation. Breakfast was poor and it was €25 each per day. 9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Belle Époque property and grounds. Great spa and treatments with nice scenery
Cons: Unfortunately they didn’t tell us we needed to check our 12 y old boys into kids club so we sent them there when we went to the spa and they were turned away - the club didn’t tell them they could go to the hotel area w a game arcade - and then they had to pay extra for that! Also the tapenade and salmon starter in bar was not good nor worth the money. Otherwise it is a beautiful place and wonderful escape.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: The hotel was empty, nevertheless they assigned us to a handicap room where the shower enclosure does not work and the bathroom is filled with water each time you take a shower! Upon complaint they tried to get us to pay to upgrade to a more expensive room instead of solving our problem. When we refused they finally gave us a normal room in the category we had booked.

7.0 Good
Pros: The personnel very helpful! The location and the huge garden are impressive!
Cons: Overall not very heated and there was a problem with the heating in the end of the night. Internet was very slow ... the sheets had some black points and the room of the breakfast had some spider nets ...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Old-world style & ambiance, top-class cheerful service, funicular!!
Cons: No cheaper alternative to pricey restaurant, loved the funicular but access to Evian a problem when funicular not running out of season
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Ambience and location superb. Restaurant food top class (but only when open ! ) Likewise really classy whiskey bar (unbelievable hardly open in the festive period) Staff really try hard but not enough of them .... see below
Cons: Fantastic property but not living up to its true potential . Clearly a huge shortage of staff (who do their best God bless them) which means bars , restaurant that deservedly aspires to greatness and other facilities have restricted opening times . At times even the reception was abandoned and one had to call from a phone on the counter.
7.5 Good
Pros: Charming hotel consisting of a group of buildings housing reception, bedrooms and restaurant with pretty courtyards. It must look beautiful in the summer with delightful gardens. Our bedroom was located in a rather grand building that may have been an independent hotel in the past. Positioned 50m above the main hotel we re-parked in its private car park. The bedroom was spacious and very comfortable with a large TV and a lovely bathroom. Breakfast downstairs was a fabulous feast and the highlight of our stay!
Cons: Not a great experience if you want to dine in their restaurant on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening during February half-term as it is closed! Despite being informed prior to our arrival that we could walk to a restaurant in 5 minutes we were disappointed to find out it was also closed on these days! We resorted to ordering take away pizzas as we didn’t feel like driving down into the main town. The reception was not manned after check-in which was extremely frustrating. There was wine in the mini-bar but no corkscrew; there were a few teabags but not ones I liked. I called the out of hours reception number but the lady was not happy about coming to help! Eventually she arrived and found a corkscrew but wanted to charge for two additional teabags!! I was flabbergasted and explained our dissatisfaction about being misinformed about the restaurant leading us to ordering takeout pizza and wine! Surely two teabags could be provided as a small gesture of goodwill! The lady became a little more helpful and even provided some fresh milk - free of charge!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location , clean, and very friendly staffs
Cons: None
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's still retains its old classic furniture and smell. Some renovation is done to it. The staff are super super friendly, always smiling, willing to help, prices are also great. Going to it is also a scenic drive. It is built on its original natural way. The land has not been flattened out. Their breakfast is homemade and yummy.
Cons: The lift is small. If you have a couple of bags or large bags you will need a couple of trips to get to your room.

Pros: Great bed and breakfast in a quiet location. Owner lovely and supplied a great breakfast using local products (good coffee). Kettle and different teas and coffee available in the room.
Cons: not close to many restaurants (although we were out of season) - none in walking distance but good advice from the owner helped us find local good restaurants only a short drive away
