Good price and good quality
Pros: I liked how quick and easy this rental was. The vehicle was clean and in good shape.
Cons: Because I didn't have a credit card they had to check my credit. I wish they would have explained more about how had works. I had to read the signs to figure it out myself.

Pros: The vehicle was nice and what was requested.
Cons: When I looked at the final bill. I thought I chose 12 midnight the evening I was returning it and must have picked noon. I was charged triple the amount for retuning it 5 hours late on a 4 day rental. I think anyone would think that was outrageous. If I was charged another day then I would understand and would accept that but three times the amount is outrageous and I am pissed.

Cons: We ordered a full size car yet they delivered a mid size. They did correct the problem almost immediately once we objected.

Pros: Car was ready and full with gas and nicer than I thought it would be. Best value for sure - about 1/2 of what I would have paid at Enterprise, etc.
Cons: Only one clerk at the desk when we arrived - handing Dollar and Thrifty. After about 20 minutes another clerk came out (by now there were about 6 in line) and told us she was entitled to her break. The pick up and drop off is more time consuming than usual. You have to go to a counter, then outside to a booth, and then again to the booth at the exit. Same thing for drop off... we had to drop the car off and then take the paperwork to another counter.

Cons: Rented an SUV when we arrived no SUV's were available and had to take a Nissan Maxima. No discount was offered. If I had wanted a car I could have rented one cheaper.

Cons: Kayak estimated the cost to be $98.77, actual cost for rental was $110.29. I would have shopped at a different company if I would have know the actual price.

Pros: When I had warning lights for low tire, car was exchanged without effort in Gulfport, MS. Than you for that!
Cons: Got shoveled between Thrifty, Dollar, and Hertz counters. What the hell?

Pros: the fact that the employee checking us when leaving the rental structure noticed that there was something wrong with the vehicle and asked us to park it while they obtained a new one. Thank you for paying attention to details.

Good car for the money
Pros: Quick pick up and drop off. Price was very god. The car was spotless.
Cons: It was a medium size car but it wasn't that big. Trunk size was excellent but interior not very big.

Pros: Drop Off was Good
Cons: forced in car I really was uncomfortable with, employee would not help me in anyway just said she could not. Had to call my Son in Tucson,AZ (while he was at work) to walk me thru getting the back hatch open for luggage and how the car works (HYBRED) ? And then the car broke in Slidell and they made me ride with tow truck driver all the way back to MSY to get exchange car, promised an up grade with this, but then tried to not let me have it, But I said I wanted what I was told while standing getting bit and waiting for tow truck and so he let me have full size

Pros: Car was fine. Staff were very friendly (they don't set the crazy rates).
Cons: The line and service was slow - took 30 minutes with only 6 people in front of us. Had to pay additional daily rate for additional driver who is a spouse (never been charged by any rental company before for that). Paid for insurance which was more than the rental. I'd never rent from Thrifty again no matter what the deal was. It went from a simple $107 charge to almost $400 with all the fees. Not a happy customer. Also it feels like a hundred miles from the terminal in that ghastly heat to get to the car rental, especially with luggage.

Cons: I was very disappointed with there service and the car. I had the car less than 10 hours and the check engine light came on along with a flat tire. While I know they are 2 separate issues if both happened it says to my the car was not properly inspected before being sent out. I rented in New Orleans and the car had Minnesota tags. The staff was rude when I questioned why I had to pay $55 for a tire that had no visible damage. All I was told in a rude tone was "Guess you should have gotten our insurance." It was my first rental and last rental with Thrifty!

Pros: Car worked for the short period we needed it; car was cleaned quickly when we arrived and Dollar was able to provide the vehicle we needed.
Cons: Sparse options of vehicles on the lot; shuttle ride to/from the airport; not having a direct line to the local service desk and getting the runaround by the 800 person when we needed a quick call to the shuttle driver to retrieve a backpack left behind.

Pros: Once I got there(which was difficult to locate if you weren't flying) everything was quick and easy.
Cons: Extra charge "for being late"! I was not late! Calling was difficult to get someone who dealt with my issue!

Pros: No distance count, that's great.
Cons: The toll service for Texas is shady, agent coul'dt tell us about the actual number of time we would pass a toll and the all-inclusive service sounded like a scam to us.

Pros: The price of the car was as advertised and I got what I paid for through the website. There were no hidden charges or fees and my economic side of the experience was uneventful.
Cons: 1. Although I had made my reservation days in advance, I was required to wait in line with everyone else who hadn't done so for about 30-45 minutes. 2. The car only had 320 or so miles on it yet it smelled stalker and the windows and mirrors were very spotty and obviously cleaned with dirty water. 3. The economy car was a poor powerless excuse for a vehicle. It got me to and from where I was going but it was a struggle to accelerate or go up bridges and such on the interstate while maintaining speed. In the end, I survived and got to do the things I wanted to do but it was not enjoyable at all.

charged for more than double what was the original
Pros: Told that the bottom line was not what I would be charged, but the middle line. The bottom line would be charged if I used road-side assistance, and I did not. I bought own gas...and was charged as well, though I gave them the receipt. In claim processing now.

Nickel and dimed
Pros: The rental desk and car were available just a short walk from the terminal. There was no line!! (Maybe because it was 11pm after a 4 hour plane delay)
Cons: I signed up for this car after being promised an $85 total for a 2 day rental that would include "all fees and taxes." However, when after a LONG, LONG day we got to the desk we were handed estimated charges of $175. Apparently all fees and taxes don't include ALL fees and charges. I am SO tired of the rental car companies doing these bait and switches, and of having to wait in line only to be badgered to upsell for serves that you have not had a chance to review. Very manipulative and frustrating. If there was a way to avoid car rental companies all together I would - and be careful, disrupter apps are on their way!!!

Terrible Thrifty Experience
Pros: The line at the Thrifty Counter was more than 45 minutes long to rent a car. I did not wait and instead used a different agency with no wait. Terrible service, and will never use again.

Price too high
Pros: The price was double what I reserved as the agent insisted the compact was too small for my luggages. Then they did not have a mid size car available for rent, therefore, we had to rent a full size car at double the price.

Pros: I liked that the rental area was close to the terminal.
Cons: Didn't like that we were quoted one price and were practically forced to take a more expensive vehicle. There was over a 160 dollar price difference. Never again will we use thrifty car rental.

Car was fine, rental car seat was NOT
Pros: Car was clean, line was short.
Cons: The first car seat we tried to rent was broken and unsafe - the second car seat they had was also in terrible shape and not safe but it was all they had. We should not have been charged and those seats need to be replaced immediately.

Specialty = Compact?
Cons: Booked a "specialty" vehicle. Picture shown at booking was a small SUV. Was told at counter my only option was compact car. I declined and booked at a competitor.

Pros: I dropped the car off at 4:30 am. An hour prior to my original departure. Now they charged me a late fee and some additional hours. Will never use them again and I'm a Blue Chip member.

Cons: I was told one process online and I thought since u paid for the insurance before I received the car I was covered. But when I arrived they told me I need more coverage and my rental went from 105 to 160. Pretty upset about that

Cons: Waited too long in line when renting the vehicle
