Pros: The room was large and comfortable. The hot water ran hot immediately. Breakfast was excellent, particularly the freshly made pancakes by the chef. The views and park that the hotel is in. The indoor swimming pool.

Cons: Small towels V v hot - no air Con
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. A personal greeting from Celice as we drove up to the property. An unbelievable location and Celice and Damian are the most wonderful hosts.
Cons: Nothing. Anyone who complains about the size of towels is pedantic and looking to complain. There really is nothing you can find wrong with this place or the staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything, however the dinner was the highlight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was an absolute gem. In a quiet, beautiful location. The chef’s surprise dinner paired with the champagne tasting was one of the best meals we have had. Both staff members were accommodating and provided all you would want for an amazing vacation! Breakfast was also wonderful. Wish I were staying again soon. Loved it!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Location! Easy to walk to Veuve Cliquot property [we were there to take the tour]. The shower was wonderful and the room was bigger than expected. Staff was great about storing our luggage until check in and we were in the heart of the town which gave us lots of options. It was an easy walk from the train station to the hotel [
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was fabulous right in the heart of the city. Very close to the Cathedral which is simply wonderful, just stunning. The hotel has a ‘pay for’ car park underneath the building which was very convenient and reasonably priced at 14 euros for 24 hours. Our bedroom was really nice and comfortable. Great service. Reims is a beautiful city, modern but also with history. Wish we could’ve stayed longer in this vibrant city.
Cons: It was all good. I might just point out that the shower was over a high bath. It would be difficult climbing in if you have any mobility issues. I’m sure they would have showers for people with mobility issues though, just check on that.

Cons: Car parking
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The room size and layout were amazing. Everything about the room and location was wonderful!
Cons: The hotel bar was more of a club catered to 18 year olds. We went in and waited 10 minutes at the bar without anyone coming over to us so we left. The music was way too loud and techno club music. Not exactly the nice Champagne bar we were expecting.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good restaurant, excellent staff

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location, the restaurant and the staff.
Cons: we have stayed at this hotel several times and always been very satisfied. On this occasion the room was noisy due to what seemed to an external pump or something similar and which was a constant noise throughout the night. Also, only a very minor ‘moan’ there was only thin plastic glasses/cups provided for making tea and coffee in the room which is risky when pouring boiling water into them and is disappointing given the otherwise excellent quality of this hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location easy to find. Breakfast very good. Staff very friendly. Amazing pool
Cons: Only the location, just off the highway but couldn't hear traffic so not a worry. Retail Industrial Estate around Hotel so not good for country walks, but then Hotel so good it wasn't a worry.

Pros: Great location, okay the rooms are compact but they have everything you need and the whole place is spotlessly clean, staff are really friendly and helpful, this is the second time we have stayed and everything is still the same high standard. The continental breakfast is plentiful with a good selection and good value for French prices
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Good value, parking is an added cost at 9 Euros
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It is set in Reims! Reims is a beautiful city. The hotel is not located in the smartest area, being near the train station, but the plethora of cafes, restaurants and the cathedral are only a short walk away. The stylish décor of the communal area, reception/bar and restaurant is contemporary and makes for a refreshing outlook.
Cons: The rooms were nothing special, unfortunately not mirroring the quirkiness of the communal area.

Cons: A slightly larger room.

Cons: Crowded room, the single bed's margin is higher than the matress' margin so I hurt my feet all the time

Cons: No tea or coffee in room Couldn’t sit outside on a very hot day with just a drink. Outside seating was for restaurant customers only.

Pros: It has to be the only hotel in the world where a single bed is only 2 foot wide and has no mattress only a mattress topper which threw my disabled sister onto the floor when she tried to turn over. She managed to get up after 2 hours and spent the rest of the night sitting on a chair.
Cons: Everything..

Cons: I hate small elevators that take forever to get up and down which pretty much encompasses this one along with every hotel in Europe so be ready to take the stairs if you don't like to wait. The plus is that its great exercise after drinking champagne and eating french cheese :)

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Everything was very old-fashioned. In room, outdated décor, wallpaper was very dirty (next to childrens' beds!), uncomfortable master bed.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is incredibly clean and the owners very welcoming. The pool was superb after a long hot drive. Only a short drive from Cathedral.
7.5 Good
Pros: Plenty of choice for breakfast. Very quiet location.
Cons: At least 30 minute walk to the cathedral. No nearby restaurant for evening.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was fine , good selection and the breakfast room was pleasant. The pool was a bonus, although we did not use it. The secure garage was useful at an extra cost and security arrangements were good. The bed was quite comfortable.
Cons: The room was very small and dingy, ground floor overlooking a street. It felt uncomfortably small. Although it was a no smoking room, it smelt of smoke. I would not recommend this room. Only 2 plug sockets and 1 was for the tv, there was no shaver socket in the bathroom. The shower head needed replacing. On the whole it was very tired and needed refreshing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bernard and Christine were welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and cool with good facilities. The view over the pool was fab and the pool was excellent for a relaxing dip. The breakfast was one of the best in France so far.
Cons: The pool shut too early and the pool cover made it impossible to have an illicit dip! The pool grounds were also locked which made the tables and chairs inaccessible for a evening drink by the pool. I understand the rationale - insurance, untidiness etc. But we felt confined to our room and balcony on a lovely summer evening.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Customer service
9.6 Excellent
Pros: the room has everything you need, and the staff was super nice. compared to other hotels in Reims the price/quality ratio was really excellent, and the locals also knew the hotel and recommended it

7.9 Good
Pros: Location was reasonable - about a 15-20 minute walk to the edge of the main part of the city. Secure parking in the garage (€4 for a motorcycle) was excellent and recommended. We thought that the city centre was great - really enjoyed our brief stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcome on arrival. The place is clean and very comfortable. Easy to walk or drive in the centre of reims. Close too all connecting motorways which is what we wanted. Definitely recommend.

6.7 Good
Pros: Big and clean room with a nice coffee machine, fridge, and comfortable bed. The lounge and restaurant area looked really good. Nice selection at breakfast. Staff was also nice.
Cons: It is overpriced. The area is next to the motorway and far from the center, you can't move without a car or see anything nice around. It was noisy at night; we had a room next to the emergency exit and heard lot of noise( not sure what it was). Our airconditioning wasn't working.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: the soccer table
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were mega helpful and all spoke English on the front line. The modern touch and little add ons like the photo booth and quirky table football are nice. The evening meals and breakfast were superb. Champagne a glass is very reasonable too, hic.
Cons: Building site next door. Car covered in dust.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For a one night stop over this hotel was perfect. I go twice a year
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Swimming pool, breakfast and decor were amazing. The ambience in the reception area was very friendly, fun and sociable.
Cons: Air conditioning was non existent, although you could open a window in the room. Was just a bit warm to be comfortable. Had weird plastic/paper mattress covers on the bed which was noisy when you moved.
5.1 Okay
Pros: Good staff & breakfast
Cons: Rooms were tatty and generally run down. Not 3*

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Not much. It was tatty, dirty and scruffy
Cons: It did not resemble the photographs on the booking site whatsoever. It was scruffy and dirty and the room was tiny with no shower and a dirty bath with a broken shower attachment.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room, the staff and the location
Cons: Too short time to give you the answer.
6.7 Good
Pros: all staff was super friendly and helpful!! nice breakfast good location
Cons: room was under the stairs, so I heard everyone going up and down very loudly, but slept ok (with earplugs) found some black hair in bath tube (I am blond) renovation should be done including removal of curtains etc.
5.8 Okay
Pros: It was close to the train station and it has a lift.
Cons: Overall the property was fine for a one night stay while visiting the many champagne houses. We were placed in an attic room at the very top of the hotel. It was hot and the air conditioning did not work satisfactorily. For the price we paid, we felt that the stay should have been more comfortable.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great for families. Fantastic location.
Cons: We were beside the courtyard and were woken up several times in the night by noise.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was excellent for a quick overnight stay. Staff was welcoming and shared a map with information. Parking nearby but we arrived around dinner on a Friday so quite full. Room was quiet on the 3rd floor with elevator access.
Cons: Common areas were in dire need of refresh. WiFi would connect but little to no internet access. Air conditioning did not work. Bathroom was clean on the surface but very outdated. Shower did not drain. Bed and pillows were very firm. Only two pillows. Unfortunately, with such a short stay, the staff would/could not have done anything to resolve issues. Overall very outdated so the price seemed to be only for the location.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location was great, staff were friendly
Cons: The hotel was tired in terms of decoration and was not clean. Bathroom in room 36 was dirty with ingrained dirt in shower and behind sink. Carpet was grubby.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel is nice. Our room had a bathtub.
Cons: Our room was very small, with sloped walls and a third bed crammed into it. Not the best option for people over 1,70m.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, very friendly staff, wonderful breakfast.
Cons: A bit dated and worn, but perfectly acceptable.
7.1 Good
Pros: Really very helpful staff. Gave us a map and marked off places to walk to and an options for a typical french food dinner. Helpful with parking advice as no on site parking.
Cons: The wet room shower leaked out to the bedroom.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Good location.
Cons: Refrigerator would be nice (this is in the heart of Champagne)

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hôtel de la Cathédrale in Reims (Reims City Centre), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Museum of Fine Arts and Notre-Dame de Reims. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location with restaurant and good breakfast at an affordable rate.
Cons: The premises and a bit old and the bathroom space is not well optimised. A bit noisy between rooms and the toilet furniture is not in a very good condition.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Overall, everything the accommodations at this hotel were above acceptable. The double rooms are a little tight for 2 couples, but manageable since we were rarely inside. We didn't interact much with staff, they seemed accommodating and agreeable. The bathroom was fine, slightly precarious bathtub/shower combo that could use somewhat better enclosure, but completely function with good water pressure. The most redeeming aspect of the hotel was the location. It was at a perfect intersect with the Notre Dame of Reims and the commercial district with lots of shopping and restaurants. There is also a tourism center near the cathedral through which we found an excellent tour to some champagne houses.
Cons: Nothing in particular to complain about, everything was to acceptable standards.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owners were lovely and very helpful. The beds were comfortable, the family room was spacious and the hotel was in a brilliant area, close to everything. It was easy to get a parking space outside the hotel, which was free between 7pm and 9am. We didn't opt for breakfast so I can't comment on that.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location; close to secure parking; really lovely city and great restaurants. The Cathedral is beautiful and there are renovations underway making a lovely new city park.
7.4 Good
Pros: The hotel was in a good location and well located for walking round Reims. The beds and room were generally ok but the hotel itself was in need of upgrading, For the price we paid we were happy with the hotel and would use again for overnight stay.
Cons: No lifts so had to carry bags up the stairs.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is fantastic
Cons: There is no lift and we were on the 4th floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location just around the corner from the cathedrale
4.2 Okay
Cons: Everything except location and evening staff
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Steep stairs.
6.7 Good
Pros: The location is superb. The staff are lovely. The breakfast was good. The room was clean.
Cons: No elevator and I was on 4th floor in bike gear during 32C heatwave. The room had no Air con and was blistering hot. This hotel needs a health warning for the stairs. I am 60 and fit but it was an effort! Also factor in that you will need to pay for off street parking at 16 euros a night. Crime is low but people are partying in the street till early hours and they were mucking about. I could not leave my motorcycle and sleep easy!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was amazing, just a short walk to the Cathedral, and some rooms had great views.
Cons: There was nobody available at reception when we arrived. The room was not clean, the bathroom was disgusting with mildewed sealant and grouting. The toilet stuck out so far that it was hard to get past it into the bathroom, and if you were sat on it and wanted to close the door you had to sit at an angle. The walls are pretty thin so be prepared to hear everything. They advertise parking but the reality is that they just point you in the direction of the public underground car park around the corner. Sadly we could not use it as our car is more than 1.8m tall. Although I chose on booking.com to pay at the hotel, they proceeded to use my card to mark the funds for "security purposes". They then insisted on arrival that I should pay before we had even seen the rooms, in my experience it is customary to pay on departure! Ten days later and the security has not been released and those funds are still unavailable, if I had known I would have just paid booking.com.
6.7 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly. Location was excellent.
Cons: Four flights of stairs with luggage was a struggle. Rooms very small. Bathroom tiny. Breakfast room very small
7.0 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable.
Cons: A basic but comfortable room spoilt by the fact that some of the contents needed attention. I understand that the Hotel has been refurbished but the carpet had large black stains on it and the shelf in the shower room, along with the table in the bedroom, needed a good coat of paint.
6.0 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, good breakfast,
Cons: We were on the 4th floor, no lifts and 80 stairs. Wardrobe had no doors, small space and bathroom was very small. Heating was not very efficient, my wife found the room cold. Room was described as "superior double"
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Old but the coolest place ever!
5.3 Okay
Pros: One of the two double beds was comfy
Cons: The other bed was sunk in and loud
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very friendly staff, hotel is convienently located
Cons: extremely small room on first night, many smaller defects in room (things like lightbulps did not work)
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location to see the Cathedrale, convenient parking garage right behind the hotel. The best thing about this hotel may be it's convenient location to a small restaurant right down the street, Le Colibri, that we happened upon by chance. This was one of the best meals we had in France. Great service, fantastic food, nice atmosphere.
Cons: No elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage up a narrow circular staircase, so pack light.
6.0 Good
Pros: Very good location, you can see cathedral over the window.
Cons: Noise of the street in the morning, smell in the room was not so good due to chemicals used for cleaning.
7.3 Good
Pros: Very pleasant staff. Two minutes from the Cathedral, very central location
Cons:
5.6 Okay
Pros: Location - the hotel hosts - breakfast
Cons: Somewhat outdatesd and wornout - in desperate need of renovation
7.2 Good
Pros: The hotel is very cosy, little but tidy and pretty. It is in a very nice position in the centre of the city with a very close parking. The couple that runs the hotel is very very kind and welcoming. I had my big german shepherd with me but we had no problems, we could stay in a very nice room together and no one complained of us. The breakfast was good, in a nice little restaurant room. I only spent one night whilst travelling by car from the uk to Italy and I had a lovely time. I would have spent there another night on my way back if there was a room available, but it was full on my return date. Overall, it was great.

Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Central location. Easy access with parking and very good value for money. The hotel did not hassle you for money until check out. No hidden charges and the staff were helpful and gave you a discount for local resturaunt
Cons: Asked for a bath and got a shower room.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was a good buffet with coffee out of a machine which seems the norm in most hotels in France. The hotel is on the main drag and has a restaurant beneath. My partner wanted to watch a particular football match and they put it on for him in their bar! The car park is very close to the hotel - it is a public facility but you can get a discount at the hotel - it worked out at about 15 euros for the night.
Cons: The room could have been bigger but fine for a one night stopover,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Reception staff went out to local boulangerie to get gluten free bread for my wife
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location. Very clear parking instructions. Very clean with cool funky decor and AC! Check and check out was easy.
Cons: Restaurants in surrounding area where just okay including the hotel restaurant. Service was excellent but food just okay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel. The room was very modern and spacious and even had a balcony. The location was fantastic to bars and restaurants. It was only a short walk from the Notre Dam. We only stayed one night but wished we could’ve stayed longer!
Cons: Limited choice at breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a lovely hotel out of the seven we stayed in on our ten day trip this came a close first. Great location in a lively area with a huge selection of bars and restaurants. The hotel also forms part of a brilliant restaurant and the food was amazing and so were the service team.
Cons: Not being able to stay longer due to the end of our honeymoon.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect position, friendly owners or staff, lovely breakfast and nicely presented, couldn’t ask for more
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Cons: Breakfast was supposed to be starting at 7.30 am, as we had to leave early to catch the Euro Tunnel, we waited until 7.45am and no one arrived to even open up let alone serve us breakfast. there was no hot water in either of the rooms we had, so we couldn't shower in the morning. overall very disappointing, there was no one to be seen anywhere to help in the morning, I had to leave a note with the key to say charge my credit card, I hope the price did not include breakfast.
7.1 Good
Pros: Lovely welcome from the owners. Good value for money, and down the road there is a delicious bakery!
Cons: Noisy bar with guests shrieking outside until 11pm! Hard to sleep with paper thin walls too. Overall not a great nights sleep

Pros: Excellent position and very friendly personnel
7.5 Good
Pros: Could do with a choise of pillows and lighter bed linen.
Cons: Pilloes to soft for me . My wife loved them
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fine, typical French breakfast. Location of the hotel was fantastic, 10 min stroll from the centre. Owner of the hotel was lovely, really nice man.
Cons: Nothing, we had a great stay
5.4 Okay
Pros: We stayed here on a stop off en route to Southern France, Reims is a great place to stop and we had a wonderful time in the city for the evening. Parking underground was nearby and it's a short walk to the main city square etc so from this point of view the hotel was ideal. Rooms to sleep 4 were also great for the family.
Cons: The hotel wasn't too fussed, the bar shut at 6pm, breakfast was needlessly expensive and the room was pretty basic. I got the impression the manager was too tired to work and was looking forward to an early night. Quite noisy rooms but fortunately not too busy a road.
6.7 Good
Pros: Nearby to cathedral
Cons: Basic rooms. Very noisy. Can hear easily footsteps in other floors or water flush
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good central location. Good value. No frills.
5.7 Okay
Pros: simple, but good breakfast - rooms clean and simple. Very good for a short stay.
7.3 Good
Pros: The person in charge of everything was charming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the cafeteria and bar were open in the evening. The location, in the midst of historic Reims, is perfect for sight-seeing or those with a serious interest in medieval monuments. My room was quiet and looked onto a garden. wi fi is free.
7.0 Good
Pros: The woman at the reception desk was very helpful about places to visit and restaurants.
6.0 Good
Pros: normal for 2star, good personal, good breakfast. small noise from street
6.3 Good
Cons: Cheap and near cathedral
4.0 Okay
Pros: Owners/staff were friendly and helpful. Not bad value for money if you just want a basic no frills hotel.
Cons: Lack of storage space, poor bed, noisy plumbing, small toilet cubicle (with a rickety concertina door) which was located too close to the bed. There was no plug in the wash basin, though staff did quickly remedy this.
