Pros: Location is perfect. Staff is wonderful and comfort is great. We Europeans always love to see the preservation of Japanese interior style, local dressing code or cuisine. There is not much to improve, as everything is close to perfection.
Cons: I would like to see a little more fresh fruits at breakfast. Especially local Hokkaido fruits like melons should be absolutely fantastic to see more of!

Overview Reviews
When you stay at Kyukamura Shikotsuko in Chitose, you'll be in a national park, just steps from Lake Shikotsu and Lake Shikotsu. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff and food were excellent. Very friendly and delicious!
Cons: Actually I think it was all very good! No real views of the lake from the hotel itself but it's very peaceful.
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff do not help unload luggage from our car. The staff do not help to move our luggage to our room. If they do not have sufficient staff, they should provide a trolley for us to move the luggage.
Cons: There is no open air onsen. The enclosed onsen is very small. This is an Onsen hotel. We come here for the Onsen which is disappointing.
7.9 Good
Pros: Quiet environment with birds singing every morning. Good and delicious meal. Waitor and waitress are very polite and helpful.
Cons: Onsen is good but many guests ( I heard them talking in Japanese) didn't wash well, as the guideline said, just poured one pot water on their body before they got in the onsen bath !!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nothing Special
Cons: Location, location on google map in Booking.com is not correct. Difficult to find the property. Room that I get is located at the end of walkway which is strength from the normal rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect stay
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Love the room, very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Surrounded by nature
Cons: No bathroom in the room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great smorgasbords for breakfast and dinner, wide choice. Out of the village but delighhtful surrounds and only 10 min away.
Cons: The damaged walks need repairing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful and comfortable hotel - great location on the shores of Shikotsu-ko. Largely Japanese clientele when we were there who pad around the hotel in their yukata speaking in hushed tones. Friendly staff and lovely onsen. Good breakfast buffet with decent western options. The lake shore - in good weather - is absolutely beautiful and a great hopping off spot for hiking in the area.
Cons: When we arrived in the late evening the only dinner option was a buffet which was pricey. We could probably have made it to the village to get to the ramen shop before it closed, but didn't want to chance it. So we splashed out on the buffet.

10.0 Excellent
Cons: Have to park off site for the entire stay. Wish they have more parking spot.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: One convenience store right next to the hotel. Bus stop of the bus going to Chitose Airport is right next to the hotel.
7.5 Good
Pros: Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was decent fOr Chitose and not too far from the train station or main highway
Cons: Didn’t like that it wasn’t made clear you couldn’t book a car space, it was only a request when you put in your preference. It was first come first serve and we didn’t arrive in time to get a spot. It was problematic when it was raining heavily and you had to find a car park a few blocks away. It was made worst due to there not being any spot for the car to pull up to to drop things off under cover or near an entry door.
4.6 Okay
Cons: firstly, I should say the room itself is okay. But the hotel is not working in a decent way: I booked a two-bed room and mentioned explicitly that it is for my family of 2 adults with 2 kids. This hotel, however, charged my card for the full amount AND THEN tell me 4-person/room is not allowed and I need to book another room! This is obviously a cheat - if this is not allowed you should not charge me, at least you should let me know first. Meanwhile, when I was checking in, the price drops 50% from the price I booked 2 weeks ago. No chance to cancel. Considering the above 2 points, it is very clear the hotel is not running in a decent way. Be cautious - I will not stay again and will avoid any BW hotels.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: It’s well located, near transportation access to scenic spots like Lake Shikotsu. It’s clean and staff were very helpful - like putting our bags in our room when we weren’t there at check in time . Bathroom was very clean without the funky smell of some properties .
Cons: I wish they could have given us a room with 2 singles than one large bed .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel. All amenities and next to the airport. Although the hotel does not have a shuttle service. They can book a taxi for you. The cost to airport is around 900yen
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room is cosy and spacious. Carpark is convenient
Cons: I don’t have anything to complain on
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is located in quiet area in Chitose. Our room is spacious, clean and well-facilities. The breakfast is fine with adequate choices.
Cons: The car park was full while we arrived in the hotel. However, we met one Lady staff happened to pass by near the car park entrance. She guided us to the spare car park one block away. And then, she helped us with the hotel check-in procedure. She is cheerful, efficient with fluent spoken English.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything in the hotel. Sure will be back. A big thank you especially to the front desk lady who guided us to the second car park when the first car park was full.

Cons: It's a quite pricey, but I guess you get what you're paying for.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice dinner, wonderful view and service.
Cons: I would feel much better if the hotel could respond my reservation confirmation email. I email them five times!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything, so peaceful
Cons: N/A
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a highly rated place and I must say my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the level of service on our first day. Food was excellent and the staff took special care of your requests. In room Onsen is great. The consumables in the room is great. Cold brew coffee in the mornings is great! This wonderful place is situated in a peaceful and serene environment. Great if your intention is to switch off and attain inner peace.
Cons: We are not locals so we were generally hoping for a staff to show us the traditional Japanese way of doing things. Did not happen but maybe because the staff didn’t understand English very well. The staff (male) serving us dinner on our second (last) night was pretty awful. Request for a simple tea took 3 courses and multiple reminders. He took short cuts in his serving of our food. We felt very clearly the lack of intention to serve us. The last course (dessert) took about 15-20 min of waiting. We were clearly an unwanted guest to him and we were pretty upset given the price we paid for this place. This is one of the reasons why this place did not score perfect for service. I must say the dinner in our first night was good. And the female staff was top notch despite her limited English. The second reason why this place did not score a perfect for service is because on the day of our checkout, the staff at the reception were clearly uninterested to serve us. I had to move my car to the sheltered lobby because of rain. My wife had to move all the luggage herself out with their staff just standing and looking. Very different feeling we were getting compared to the first day. Note: If this was a budget or normal hotel, the service failures would be acceptable. But this really is not.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Courteous, friendly staff. Peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Excellent accomodations. Meals were also excellent,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness of the hotel, the friendliness of the staff and the overall service.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and attentive. Great room. Food was fantastic, like Michelin star restaurant, that is fanciful and in small portions over 10 courses. High quality ingrediets like abalone, wagyu beef.
Cons: There were brown particles floating in our private onsen. The staff said it’s onsen particles and perfectly fine. But it still grossed us out. They look like brown dirt.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: private hot spring bath
Cons: small shower room
7.9 Good
Pros: open air bath and meals
Cons: the room is too small to fit 2 big luggages.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: After a long flight, it was great to have such an easy place to settle down. Staff was helpful and the included breakfast was plentiful.
Cons: The hotel is right in the airport which is closed for a good part of the night so no nearby stores or restaurants. There are also no early trains out from the airport (first train out just before 7 am). Staying in chitose or sapporo would make for an earlier start.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for an early flight. We were unable to book a non-smoking room, but the hotel has an air purifier. It was running upon our arrival and it made our room almost odor free.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location to catch for early flight. Well equipped hotel room. Complete toiletries. Clean room and bathroom. Enjoyed FM radio music in the room and in the bathroom with volume control. Big television.
Cons: None.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the hotel is so conveniently located inside the airport. It's so much easier for guests like us to catch early morning flight. All guests get complimentary drink from beer, wine, juice or tea to choose from. The bathroom was quite new and clean. The hotel provide spa ticket for guests to enjoy Onsen at Level 4 Oasis Park (not within hotel). Very recommended!!!! Love the amenities inside the Spa Lounge too!
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is Great. They provided a complimentary drinks likes wine, beer, juice and soft drink upon check in.
Cons: The air-conditioner is not working well, I went to complaint and they gave us a fan because they told me the hotel is full, so that we did not sleep well at all and to continued our journey to Tokyo next day. The air purifier is very noisy because they did not add any water into the tank. The buffet breakfast is simple but enough.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location in CTS airport, suitable for early morning flight. Enjoy shopping before going back home. Nice breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Best location if you had early morning flight. A local outlets nearby and you can also just shopping inside of airport. airport SPA was free charge to the hotel guests was surprisingly good experience! All those eliminated your exhaustion after whole day travel!
Cons: breakfast was way to less choices especially for the western peoples.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location - adjoined to the airport. Onsen was great. Breakfast was basic but still quite tasty. Overall we felt it was a great decision to stay here at the start and end of our trip, since our arrival flight was at night and departure flight in the morning.
Cons: Was a little pricey. But typical of Japan hotels.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Good for what we needed, Overnight stay for a late flight. There is actually a bunch of cool shops in the airport. We were well entertained waiting for our bus the next morning. Food, presents, fun kids stuff, the airport is well equipped. (not the worst place to get snowed in) the hotel room was pleasant clean and convenient. There is even a detached spa/onsen on the 4th floor
Cons: As far as airport hotels go this place was killer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the third time at the property - you really are paying for location . This time I got a plane side view which was better than parking lot . You still cannot open the window which drives me crazy
Cons: I’m not a fan of the bed but I’m there to catch a very early flight not to sleep in
9.6 Excellent
Pros: near CTS, free to onsen, good breakfast, wifi signal strong, what more can you ask for.
Cons: a long walk from international terminal .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Chitose airport has an amazing food mall on the second floor, for shopping and eating. Bought home lots of seafood, baked goodies.

Pros: Walking distance from train station. Fairly new facility with clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant /izakaya in the hotel with a large selection of dishes. Nice public bath to top things off.
Cons: Although adequate sized, the room was "over furnished " making it hard to get around.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Free shuttle bus to the airport which is an excellent service. Rooms are tight for room, but are private, quiet, super clean and have everything a traveller needs for a good nights rest.
Cons: Was very happy with everything this hotel provided, could not find any fault.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Not applicable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I booked 2 room with queen bed. The rooms were small as usual (Japanese Style). There was coffee machine within the room which it’s free. They provide 4 types of drink(but I remember only 3 of them which are coffee, green tea and ceylon tea). The location wasn’t far from the JR station. They also have onsen, which it’s also free. I didn’t have a chance to try cause I was too tired from the trip. Lastly, they also have a bus to take you to the airport for free. It takes around 20-30 minutes to the airport.
Cons: They only gave 1 room card for each room.
5.4 Okay
Cons: The staff is rather bad and does not care the customer.
7.5 Good
Pros: Quick and easy to get to from the airport, we stayed only one night as we were flying the next morning

Cons: Going into the bathroom....its a high step....being older it was an item that I needed to be careful of.
9.6 Excellent

Hotel Nidom - Tomakomai - Building

8.4 Excellent (251 reviews)

Overview Reviews
Located in Tomakomai, Hotel Nidom is on the boardwalk, within a 15-minute drive of Chitose Inter Golf Club and Tarumaezan Shrine. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I appreciated the high levels of service from all staff, specially the staff who tried their very best to understand and speak to English speaking guests. The cottages were well equipped, clean and comfortable.
Cons: I would recommend for the resort to provide more collateral for non-Japanese speaking guests.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was a lovely lodge with an amazing view over a lake in the middle of the forest. The lodge is very spacious and the fireplace was so relaxing. Very romantic atmosphere.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
7.1 Good
Pros: It was in a beautiful setting, forest and lake
Cons: It was far from anything except the airport! Not much in tomakomai. Nowhere close to get breakfast, not many local choices for dinner either. Dinner at nidom was decent but expensive, and service for dinner a bit odd... Seven courses rushed through in an hour.
7.9 Good
Pros: The setting is great with a scandinavian style log cabin near a big pond and forest. The beds were comfortable and the general atmosphere of the location is serene.
Cons: We came to Nidom hotel to attend a wedding ceremony and reserved an expensive extra night so we could get ready on site in the morning and not rush as we were coming all the way from the UK for it. I told the hotel 3 times we were there for the ceremony and last minute on the day of the ceremony they forced us to check out at 11:30 when the wedding ceremony was at 12pm (eventhough we were still staying another night in a different room). I couldn't finish getting ready and we ended up missing the beginning of the ceremony! What a disappointment! The extra night was really expensive. I wish we didn't stay and took a room near the airport instead. The decor is outdated. ok in the log cabin but the Lobby could use a fresh coat of paint.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly staff with lovely accommodation. Setting near the lake was idyllic for an early morning stroll. Excellent room service meal at a decent price.
Cons: Lack of utensils in the kitchen was a little strange.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: the location is right near the airport but it turns out to be a true natural sanctuary for all in family to have a great evening walk by the lake with such a peaceful ozone-filled greenery space which is beyond our expeactations. you can only find this in depper woods or forests in high mountains. many of my freinds on facebook were asking where is this? and they couldnt believe that its so near to the airport and convenient to stay before you catch a flight back home or to other destinations. we would return for sure!! PS:and the japanese style of service and management makes things so proper and precise, very red-carpet service since chech-in till our departure made us feel very VIP... amenities are also great and generous .. thank you :-)))))
Cons: beddings are getting old and could possibly be replaced for better comfort while sleeping. kitchen should allow simple cooking in case late-nite hungry and your restaurants are closed, esp family with kids, teens or elderly who may be hungry at odd hours. thanks..
5.4 Okay
Pros: In the middle of nature. Lot of space is the cottage.
Cons: No swimming pool available although it was mentioned in the hotel description. Actually swimming pool was the main reason why we book that hotel. So, we were very disappointed to learn that it was broken since the previous year. Poor activities for families. Installations seem old and require additional fees. Poor handling of bagages. Sound of nature was nice to enjoy terrace in the early morning, until noise of blower engines started... It is a detail, but ‘French breakfast’ with salads, bacon and eggs show that hotel staff have never stayed in France.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wild deers are just in front of the house right across the river. Amazing environment and sincere service ! Highly recommend !
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place for morning run And nice fire place in the house.
Cons: The big bath open 14-22 I wish they can open for longer time. The mattress is hard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: View is definitely great and rooms are really comfortable. It’s very suitable for a family trip and next time we’d like to stay even longer. Also many thanks to the warmly help of staffs.

Pros: The artificial onsen was very nice, the room was cosy and confortable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff is incredibly friendly! We we're greeted with little gift bags of toiletries when we arrived. Front desk staff let us know where the baths were & what the hours were. Our room was much bigger than expected, everything was folded neatly, and we were even given lounging/bathing kimono to wear! The comforters are really warm! We didn't know where to eat for dinner & front desk staff recommended a nearby restaurant (& even made a reservation for us) which was amazing!! The hotel has a breakfast for an extra 600yen per person, which was delicious. A huge thank you to the hospitable staff!
Cons: As much as we loved this place, the only downside was that our room smelled like cigarettes the whole time. The room did have an air purifier in it, but it didn't help much. That's about it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very traditional japanese accomodation Impeccably clean.... staff cleaning lobby carpet with lint roller!! Check out the cousins restaurant around the corner ... ausome!!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is amazing! The owner went way out of his way to make sure we had a nice night even calling places to eat and driving us to a restaurant. He then got up at an ungodly hour the next morning to see us off. Exceptionally helpful.

Pros: Hotel Wing International Tomakomai was a great place to stay. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious. Many places to park. The JR station was very close by as well as several nice restaurants.
Cons: The hotel offered a breakfast at their cafe, it looked like a nice selection of Japanese and western food however it was a little too expensive.

Cons: I have no negative comments for this hotel.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location. Clean
Cons: Bad wifi. Expensive
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Saved us as we were snowed-in at Chitose Airport (along with many other flights). A little far away from Chitose (¥7,000 taxi from airport) but one of only a few options. Warm, comfortable bed with WIFI. Close to the train station as well. Perfect for trying to get the train to Tokyo
Cons: Pretty industrial town but ok shopping options at Aeon mall
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff tried to be helpful. The Restaurant on the main floor was good value for money.
Cons: Please let foreign tourists know in English what is happening during emergencies. I was very scared when the early morning 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck on the 6 September 2018.

Pros: Close to the airport approximately 20 kms by car. The property was clean,it had an outside onsen, friendly and helpful staff and they provided a small complimentary meal between 9-30pm and 11 pm.
Cons: Nil
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Onsen access and the location to train station (10 minute walk) was good. In an area of small restaurants if you don’t want to eat at the hotel.
Cons: Pillows were very firm and small, could be improved. Value for money was alright and I guess includes the access to the onsen, which I couldn’t use as I have tattoos. My boyfriend did enjoy it however.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel exceeded my expectations, I will definitely always look for one of their hotels in and outside Japan! Their amenities are countless, even a free shuttle (Japanese taxi!) to the train station which is 800 meters away, visible from the hotel door, just tell/call them and you don't have to walk. As Sapporo was full, due to the snow festival, this hotel was the only affordable option, I never regret booking here, as this little city is amazing. All good restaurants are around this hotel, but you also get from 21.30 a free ramen dinner! Also the onsen on the top floor is open 24 hours, with even shaving blades and cream for free. This hotel I would even boo just to relax there! Going to Sapporo? Book here, the comfy train ride to the city is under 1 hour (airport 24 minutes) and there is a lot to see.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike about this place, challenge me if you did find something :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel. Very close to JR train station. The area is surrounded by several restaurants. Facilities are excellent. Hotel-provided clothes were very nice.
Cons: We made a reservation during summer season. Prices were very high.
7.9 Good
Pros: Onsen, free coffee & staff very helpful

Cons: Room a little run down and old.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lake side room's view is fantastic, room was clean, quiet and comfortable, in-room Kaiseki dinner was amazing and very delicious, and the buffet breakfast was good and delicious, the nice lake view onsen is amazing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It's an onsen over 100 years history. Lake view is stunning and the general environment is quiet and peaceful. Make sure to book the lake view room. Food is nice in compared with the price you paid. If you reach there by Jan & July, the outdoor onsen water level will be at the highest point. We were there this Mar and water level up to 110cm +/- only, so a bit disappointing but it's the nature, no problem. Easy access with shuttle bus service from Sapporo station. You may ask the hotel staff to book for you and at 500 yen one way. will recommend for anyone.
Cons: The women outdoor onsen is abt 30m from the exit, it is a bit chilling to walk along. Make sure you put an extra towel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We booked a lake side room, the view is fantastic. There are cherry trees outside. It would be great to stay there during cherry blossom season. We stayed there on 30 April. When we checked out on 1 May, we got a souvenir from the Hotel for celebrating the new era "令和". It's sweet.
Cons: Cigarette smell in the room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room over the lake was great. We appeared to be the only non Japanese staying. Traditional meals in our room each night were memorable.
Cons: Bedding was too hot and as very little English spoken by staff, it did not appear possible to get an alternative.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, excellent dinner in the room.
5.0 Okay
Pros: - nice dinner - Great located directly at lake and onsen with nice view - Lady’s who brought dinner are nice
Cons: - Very dirty room - rooms and whole hotel very old and needs urgently an overdue - reception people speak barely English and are not very helpful and friendly - no WiFi in room only in the lobby - not worth the money we paid
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: food
Cons: the room is not clean. Onsen is not clean water. Staff can not communicate English also no have service mind.
7.1 Good
Pros: The outside onsen with lake view is great. Dinner was excellent. The Yakatas had been prepared in our kids' various sizes, with the "correct" gender colour-codes. Kids were delighed.
Cons: The place is very dated, our room's toilets had an old musty stench.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Delicious Breakfast Buffet with lots of variety. Perfect location for my travel needs. Beautiful Bath !
Cons: More space for luggage in room. English instructions & Information could be more complete & understandable for travelers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is near to JR station, near Aeon and have shuttle bus for the airport. Nice breakfast.
7.1 Good
Pros: Literally few minutes walk from Chitose train station, so if landing into the airport or vice versa heading back out from Sapporo for early flight, it’s very convenient. Room quite spacious for a Japanese three star rating business hotel. We arrived early, staff were happy to take luggage and place on hold. Be warned though they are very strict with their check in time and didn’t let guests check in prior to 3 pm which is fine.
Cons: Few aspects which were a little frustrating, firstly the transfer service, one of the reasons I booked the hotel was the availability of the airport shuttle, no mention anywhere that they offer one service it would appear on the hour, with extremely limited seats, despite asking well ahead of time we were told it was fully booked, so we had to train to the airport instead. The comfort of the room, the beds were fine as was the room itself, however the air conditioner was not able to cool the room, it was set to 28 degrees and insanely hot. When I queried this with reception they said there was nothing they could do, I found this quite amazing and still perplexed. One of the front reception staff came to see, nodded her head, said open the window, and that only the communal areas had air conditioning working. I much prefer fresh air, however when one is on the 13th floor and the windows don’t have fly screens on and you are right near the airport, I somehow can’t quite believe this is the accepted practice. Was it the case they don’t allow guests to have cooling on until a certain time of year, or alternatively were we given a room with a broken air conditioner. Given what I paid for the room I personally don’t find this acceptable. Lastly the breakfast area, despite being down there just after 630 when it opened, it was packed with guests, and bedlam, guests had saved tables for others, and it was basically impossible to find a seat, we did eventually but extremely disorganised.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It is a good location near JR Chitose station. Good breakfast with a variety of food. Public bath on the first floor for men and 14th. floor for women. It's a quiet area but Aeon shopping mall is just 3 minutes walk.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It's a few minutes walk from the JR Station and, since we were only supposed to spend the first night before embarking on our 10 days tour of the island, it was just OK. They offered free parking for our motorcycle rental. Breakfast with many options and of good quality.
Cons: The room was way very small considering it was a standard room. The pillow wasn't so comfortable. It would be nice if hotels in japan would offer a dual option, hard and soft.

Pros: Location very near to reain station & Aeon supermart
Cons: Nothing

Pros: When we asked for restaurant's advice, staff responded immediately.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Superb location if you are traveling thru and need the Ferry - good way to end a Hokkaidō excursion here and catch the ferry the next morning back to the mainland. Or stay here after a ferry trip to start fresh and plunge deeper in the next day. Room was spacious and clean. Highly recommend the bar on the top floor!
Cons: Stains on the carpet in the hallway - but that’s all as the room was fine!
7.5 Good
Pros: Large hotel with a comfortable rooms
Cons: Slightly dated but nonetheless comfortable
6.3 Good
Pros: Room spacious
Cons: The WiFi was terribly slow!
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff tried to be as helpful as they could however the hotel needs more staff who can speak English. Ample space for parking. Restaurant on the ground floor supplied a reasonable buffer breakfast, lunch or dinner. Overall good value.
Cons: I was on Level 10 there when the 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck Hokkaido on Sept 6, 2018. There was no information given to tourists in English during or after the quake. Announcements only in Japanese. This lack of information on what to do or not to do during emergencies has been noted as one area of improvement by the Japanese government.
7.9 Good
Pros: The view from the room was magnificent. They were kind enough to give out tasty bread for free to save people who couldn't get enough food. I admired them. I had a chance to talk with the pretty assistant manager, who should be in charge of such great cause.
Cons: One of the lights went out but it was because they couldn't check it thoroughly soon after the earthquake.

Cons: Thin walls. I can hear everything from outside and adjacent rooms
7.1 Good
Pros: Staffs are nice
Cons: Mixed dorm is not much private

Pros: That hall terrace doesn't smell good, i think that is because the smoking room inside the building, the carpet on the floor is old but quiet clean, the floor of the room is clean also, it just takes few minutes to get to the airport, good for people who have to wake up early for the flight.
Cons: smell of the hall terrace
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly, arranging to our car park needs. The room is small but ok for us in a family of 5 since we just need an overnight to catch an early plane the next morninng. We found extra comfy with the futon. I like this hostel as the location is superb strategic. The convenient shop and McD are just few steps away from hostel.
Cons: The washroom basin was broken.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staffs are super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and big. 7-11 was right next to the hostel.
Cons: A little bit far from the train station. With luggage, I took about 15-20 minutes to the hostel.

Pros: Staff is very helpful. Shared kitchen is useful and clean.
Cons: Location is far away from town. My bed was located in the middle of a room - NOT a bunk. Huge lack of privacy.
6.7 Good
Pros: Salf Breakfast ..
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Twin bedroom had private bathroom, with shower gel and shampoo included. Receptionist received us well, explaining everything we needed to know. But most importantly, it’s close to a bus stop that takes you directly to the airport. If you’ve got a super early flight like us, walk 6min and the first bus is at 5:53am — don’t go to the 7-eleven stop, since there it only starts at 6:52am!
Cons: It wasn’t spotless clean.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Thank you for saving my bicycle boxes for one month! Much appreciated. Great location, great helpful staff, great shower, great kitchen and living room, lots of nice restaurants etc in the area. Very convenient when you land at Chitose airport!

Pros: The location was good a 5 min walk with a skibag to the trainstation. They gave me all the information I needed to make it to the right bus/train. Perfect flace if you need to catch a early flight form new chitose.
Cons: They did not provide shuttle service to the airport that allowed skibags etc. Therefore I had to catch the public bus that was full of people and not that easy to take when your bag is 20kg and you got a skibag. I got a room for smoking, and it does not smell god unless you smoke...
