Pros:Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. She came to us and said she wanted to make our stay pleasant and asked if there was anything she could do for us. She especially went out of her way to make me a decaf espresso in the mornings.
Cons:The hotel is old and could use a refurbishment inside and out. However, it was clean and the bathroom had everything we needed and was fine. No air conditioning, but a fan worked to keep the temperatures comfortable. The wi-fi was good. The breakfast was good, though no cooked items were available. The croissant and baguette were delicious. Yogurt and corn flakes were also available. The hotel is located very near the cathedral and main downtown streets, so very convenient walking access to all the shops and restaurants and other interesting places, including the Saone River. However, the hotel is on a busy street, so if the traffic will bother you, you should ask for a room at the back of the hotel away from the street noise. There's a railroad station at the back, but the trains don't run all that often and I don't think I ever heard them at night. We had no trouble parking our car for free during our seven days at the hotel.
