10.0 Excellent
Pros: The building and interior
Cons: The breakfast was good but not a lot of choice
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is centrally located on the main street so is easy to find and has a separate parking lot across the road. We stayed in the honeymoon suite, a converted coach house across the road, separate from the hotel and set in a lovely courtyard with two pools and accessible to and from historic Church Street with all its restored Cape Dutch buildings. The hotel has recently been refurbished and is nicely decorated and comfortable without trying to be glitzy. The food is fantastic and they cater for all tastes. The staff are super friendly and helpful and really go out of their way for guests.
Cons: The only negative was the pillows which could do with being upgraded for something better and more comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Liana and her team were excellent. We were there when legislation changed suddenly around restaurant hours and selling of alcohol but they managed it very well and kept us informed. The food was also excellent as well as service levels. Will definitely stay there again
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property is well located, clean, well appointed, everything you need. The best is that the staff was brilliant, all women, friendly faces, smiling, willing to help, such a breath of fresh air!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good reception, we had a problem on mobility after an accident staff were helpfull and changed our accomodation to assist. Unfortunately due to the above we were not able to take advantage of facilities.
Cons: Breakfast could be improved by having better continental choice. But majority of people seemed to be OK

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place, very rustic, very beautiful. Old beautiful converted Dutch townhouse right in the middle of town. Church street is absolute the most picturesque street in town. Friendly and helpful staff – absolutely worth a stay
Cons: Though Tulbagh is a nice town and wonderful to visit for wine trips etc. one should keep in mind that Sundays everything, as in everything, is closed. But then a good chance to go out see and hike in the countryside.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location excellent. Facilities in need of proper maintenance (TLC) and proper cleaning.
Cons: Facilities in need of proper maintenance (TLC) and proper cleaning.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very friendly and helpful host. Historic feel retained in the accommodation. Excellent breakfast - albeit over-priced.
Cons: Bathroom extremely small, quite few mosquitoes, bit of general repair seems to required and Television setup just didn’t work.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. Location was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: How often can one stay in a place with so much history attached? So lovingly restored. You don’t just look at it . You are allowed to live in it! Jason is very welcoming and a great advocate for the whole area. His garden (and all his knowledge/enthusiasm ) is a delight. And what a treat breakfast was. Good food great discussions around the large dining table... almost like a family get together. A big Thank You
Cons: For all the moaning reviewers out there .... this is an old place, old fixtures and fittings and if something does not work ? hey ho it adds to the experience!
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Clean the place up!!!!! No milk for coffee. No water to drink. No info about the place. Everybody was leaving the prremises. Dont no where to leave the keys .They still got my key deposit. At 7 this morning the place was still closed
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful historic place with amazing hosts. All you can aak for.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location.
Cons: The room was nothing like the lovely pictures shown on booking.com. The bedroom was small, the bathroom was dreadful, very small with a badly finished, dirty tile floor and the bath was badly stained. We were the only people staying in the accommodation, but we couldn't eat the cooked breakfast, it had clearly been cooked some time before, so it was barely warm and the fried eggs were overturned, over cooked and solid. Also, we didn't get what we ordered. We booked for two nights, but checked out after one, totally disappointing.

Pros: A lovely house with a good swimming pool. The owners were very friendly, hospitable and helpful. The breakfasts were first class. Our room was large and had excellent air conditioning. Parking on the premises was easy and secure with an electric gate operated by a remote button on our room/house keys fob.The property is at the end of a cul de sac on a very quiet road.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike and we intend to stay there again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked everything about the place
Cons: Could they kindly i change their shower heads in the showsrs. Impossible to get the water drops onto your body with the current oned
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Vindoux is friendly and unpretentious, and offers a refreshing alternative to five-star boutique establishments. If we were asked to be picky, we’d have to say that the honeymoon treehouse is looking a little tired and cleanliness wasn’t quite up to scratch. But Vindoux’s main appeal is its quirky, rustic nature. One certainly doesn’t get a view of springbok and zebra against a mountain range in the average boutique hotel! And it was a delight to have breakfast on our private deck. A special mention also for the friendly cats and dogs - particularly the half Maine Coons.
Cons: Cleanliness, gym.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning Views and scenery, very serene, friendly and accommodating staff. We also had a taste of some wildlife watching a Zebra and beautiful Springboks.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast on the terrace was good value and very tasty. lovely setting.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Impressed with the cottages - very neat and clean. Perfect location for a little getaway, very quiet and quaint
Cons: Due to an Eskom problem we were left almost 24 hours without water (water is pumped) or electricity. I understand that it was beyond the control of the guest house, however we had to continuously phone to find out what the issue was, no updates. Staff had a stiff attitude when we complained. There was absolutely no gratitude to accommodate us in the situation- not even a bottle of water to brush our teeth. Furthermore, we paid for the "starlit hottub experience" - instead of asking if we would prefer a refund or an alternative treatment we sat in a cold hot tub, in the pitch black dark with no bubbles or jets.... basically a cold bath in the dark. Vindoux can work on management style and how to accommodate guests in times like these
