Cons: Wonderful location, mountains, clean air, beautiful sunrise and sunsets AND a lot more. Excellent facilities, wonderful walks, very good food.
Pros: the breakfast was very good but overpriced.the location is excellent.
Cons: we booked this place because of the warm indoor pool.my wife specifically purchased a bathing costume on the way to the resort, because she realized she had left her one at home.we were disappointed when that pool didn't open even for one day.
Pros: Meals were delicious! Amenities were good and well kept. Pillows were very comfortable
Cons: Only tiny complaint was that the water in the hand basin in the bathroom of room 501...took a long time to drain out. Perhaps it just needs to be plunged
Pros: As a parent I love the attention they paid to kids activities
Pros: Beautiful views and surroundings even from the room we had.
Cons: No hot water in both rooms booked in the morning, cold water shower was not great.
Pros: Best rooms Friendly staff Best English breakfast

Pros: Everything, from the décor, beautiful food and efficient, friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing, only that we had to leave.
Pros: The property is located on a beautiful farm. Spacious enough that one can take a walk around the grounds. Restaurant is very small however the food was as really good.
Cons: The bathrooms are really old need a little renovations.
Pros: The location is very good, close to Himeville and close to Sani Pass. The views from the hotel's vast gardens are beautiful. The staff was always helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the meals at the restaurant, which is nice and cosy with a fire place.
Cons: We enjoyed our stay and there is not really anything that I did not like. I do, however, think that the hotel can invest in a few upgrades, as some things are a little dated.
Pros: We had dinner at the onsite restaurant which was lovely. Cozy fireplace in the bar/lounge area was perfect for a winters evening.
Cons: In the rooms were a small decanter and sherry glasses, that I thought would be filled with sherry for when we returned from dinner and our bed had been turned down. Unfortunately not. This would have been a perfect night cap for the winter evening.
Pros: Poor, Fruit, just a few grapes or under ripe melon. Catering for foreigners not South Africans
Cons: could not turn underfloor heating off Mattres had not been turned, big dip Room 4 a disappointment
Pros: The quite and beautiful surrounding nature
Cons: No Air-conditioned rooms
Pros: Fantastic Hotel in beautiful positions. Very good breakfast and restaurant
Pros: Very comfy bed and lovely room. Except for the reception on arrival we really enjoyed our stay. The fireplaces gave a lovely atmosphere
Cons: It was a struggle to find staff to assist on arrival at the reception and waited about 10minutes for one of the staff to help with check in. But as soon as that was sorted the staff helped to get the luggage from the car so it wasn't that bad it just gives a bad impression of the place if you arrive and there is no one at reception.

Pros: The breakfast was great, the venue perfect for some peace and quiet. The room was very warm with floor heating in the bathroom.

Pros: Great for kids!
Cons: The hotel is looking a little tired.
Pros: hi Great family holiday place, especially for younger kids, staff extremely friendly, I will definitely be back. I wish it was pet friendly
Cons: Veg menu, no wifi. tv did not work properly, electric blankets would be great, I emailed and asked if water was safe to drink they said yes yet on the docs when you get there its not recommended, the Underberg road has room for improvement.
Pros: Friendly staff, clean and neat.
Cons: More activities for kids and adults during the day. Normal fun games would be nice. Drinks and food available at the pool area.
Pros: Restaurant food was delicious
Cons: The resort has limited activities. We felt the activities that were listed were a bit of a misrepresentation. Overall the resort is great for chilling
Pros: Usual hotel breakfast,
Cons: croissants were stale on the two mornings we attended breakfast. An up to date coffee machine is urgently needed the coffee was terrible. The Vine and Knot restaurant fare left a lot to be desired where as the Berg View meals were beautifully served, tasty and thoroughly enjoyed.
Pros: Very kids friendly
Cons: It looked abit run down in certain areas but on the whole it was lovely and affordable

Pros: The place and activities was awesome.
Cons: Bathroom kept flooding. Kitchen floor was sticky n smelled fishy.... The fold up bed was a nightmare to store away. The bed sheet in the cupboard had mould on the edges. Road to the resort is bad. Very bad!!! Asked staff twice for a glass of water on that saturday at the braai. Never came.

Pros: Stunning location. Loved the lounge area overlooking the pool and mountains. Staff very friendly and Resort Manager took time to come and talk to us. Loved it. Chalet 8B was awesome.
Cons: Very remote and 25km of a challenging road to get there.

Pros: The hospitality, from food & premiere wine selection, ambiance, going the extra mile, attention to detail, comfort of rooms and friendliness, is genuine, professional and excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed out stay from start to finish.
Pros: Good breakfast Friendly service Splendid view
Pros: The meals were delicious and wholesome. The views overlooking the Umzimkhulu River and mountains were beautiful, watching the sun set between the mountains from your verandah was breathtaking. The facilities was clean, cosy and comfy.
Cons: There was nothing that I didn't like. Everything meet or exceeded my expectations. Definitely a place to return to, time and again
With a stay at The Old Hatchery in Drakensberg Gardens, you'll be steps from Drakensberg Mountains and uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The duvet was nice and warm. Room was clean and everyone was friendly and helpful
Cons: The walkways can use some attention
Cons: All excitement to arrive at our own private bungalow was immediately squashed when we were given keys to a joint room within a guest house of 8 other rooms. Manager wanted to blame us for the wrong definition of the term Bungalow. Did not want to take any responsibility for their mistakes and rather blame it on booking.com. After travelling for the day with 2 young kids, management gave us an ultimatum to either accept or take a refund knowing that Easter weekend it would be impossible to find any other booking.
Cons: The roof in the room was falling apart. Lots of bugs and no a great experience.
Pros: Beautiful Venue with huge potential , Excellent Location, Friendly faces. Cabins were basic but had everything needed. Heater, electric blankets and very equipped for the cold weather so it’s perfect for winter months. I like that it has a restaurant on the property, we ate there once and the food was really great. Amazing cheese cake!!!
Cons: The reason for booking was for fishing but the dams were not stocked. The rooms need a little TLC for small things like the collapsed ceiling boards.
Pros: The food and hospitality was absolutely incredible and exceeded my expectations.
Pros: Breakfast was good no complains & the location was excellent there was no complication at all
Cons: I just wished there was room service for breakfast
Pros: The property is extremely clean and tidy. The Cleaning service is excellent. Room Amenities for winter are beyond expectation with a gas / electric heater, fireplace & electric heater. Kitchen is well equipped.
Cons: The Bathroom needs to have a shower door / shower screen, There was water everywhere after we had showered.
Pros: I liked the way you welcomed me and I was so happy with your friendly staff.
Cons: Everything was excellent. Please put more coffee and sugar in your rooms because it is very cold there but I was happy and enjoyed every moment of my stay in your place.
Pros: Room decor was cute
Cons: Arrived just after 14h00 (allowed book in time). No porters to assist to carry bags etc and you cannot get anywhere close to the unit. It is self catering so logically guests will bring food etc and have way more than just a suitcase of clothes to carry. It was also raining so by the time we had walked the long distance from where we had to park and walked up over bridges and walkways etc to get to our unit the number of times it took to unpack everything, we were soaking wet and irritable. We had dinner at the restaurant one of the nights. The main course was nothing special and the Malva pudding was terrible. It had no flavour and tasted like white bread with custard.
Pros: The area is beautiful & I loved the fireplace in the room.
Cons: The facilities were a little basic. Small things like crockery & cutlery that didn't match. There was no shower in the bathroom, which my partner didn't like. Since there is a fireplace, I would suggest giving the guests one complimentary bushel of wood to start off with. Not enough toilet paper was supplied.

Pros: At least they had hot water and a tub.... with no stopper! I used a Vitamin water bottle lid as a stopper since they haven't been of good help.
Cons: Upon my arrival I was told my payment is still pending. They insisted i pay cash before they check me in when I had already paid online and the money went out of my account a week ago. This really pissed me off and made my stay unpleasant and while I refused to pay again i was told upon my check out that my payment was successful.
Pros: 1. Great service from reception and Rosemary in the restaurant. 2. Food was good
Cons: 1. The bathroom is only a tub and the description on the booking.com stated it also has a shower 2. Only 1 toilet paper was given which was not a new roll 3. Behind the bed by the lamp shade plug point was dusty 4. Parking was not secure and trees and leaves obstructured the parking 5. Area where the chess game was located was not cleaned 6. One lamp shade was not working
Pros: Perfect price Pretty property
Cons: We had to ask for more blankets. There were no spare blankets in the cupboard. No wifi as promised on the website
Pros: Absolutely nothing. The en-suite was dirty with no shower facilities. The cavernous bedroom was cold and uncharitable. The food available was pub grub - bowl of soup with croutons fried in old oil. Promised homemade bread roil became one slice of brown bread. NO BUTTER! Do people really still eat margerine?
Cons: Besides the above Lol. The coffee station in the room had 1 sachet each of coffee, decaf, tea and rooibos tea. No warming up there. One single ply toilet roll was available. There was one snooker cue and only half the lights on the table worked. I was told to pay when I arrived even though booking. com had been paid in full.
Pros: Backing up kids who were hiking in berg
Pros: Nothing except for the Hotel has potential if better managed
Cons: Staff, rooms, food, service, just about everything. Am very disappointed in the hotel. Nothing like we expected and certainly does not look like pics on your website.
Cons: location fine but we had half a loo roll for 2 people not adequate. the tea/coffee was for one person or if for 2 it limited one to choose decaf or normal coffee - normal or rooibos but what if the couple both wanted normal coffee there were 2 milks.
Pros: The room outside the main building was excellent.
Cons: No floor matts in the room, floor icy cold in winter
Cons: Old needs a make over. It of stock of food items in the menu and very little drink options in the bar. The snooker room is a shocker.
