Cons:1) The bed matresses should be change to a firmer matresses as it is wearing out. 2) The microwave oven need to be clean as it has a bad odor 3) Aircon filter need to be wash frequently ( which I washed on behalf ) 4) Hair dryer filter need to be clean often 5) We paid a upgraded room but it seems no big differences are all upgraded rooms on the 1st levels ?
Cons:It was dingy, recently remodeled, but dingy. The breakfast was budget, the carpet was sticky and damp. If you are on a budget and must stay in Ventura, this probably isn't the worst you could do. However I usually expect more from LaQuinta. Won't be returning.
Pros:We were traveling with a dog for an event in Santa Paula and the La Quinta was close by. The motel was fantastic in providing a lovely room for my dog and myself as well as having easy access on and off the freeway. I want to call out Mason at the front desk, who was especially accommodating and suggested places for me to walk my dog, throw a ball with him, and even several dog-friendly beaches in the area. It really get gave me the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Ventura and it's lovely Shoreline. He took the extra time to print out directions to get to all these beaches and areas. Ventura is a lovely city and well worth a visit next time just for liesure. Would never have known how much it had to offer had it not been for him . He obviously takes pride in his job and is eager to provide all who stay there with anything that might make their stay more comfortable.Thank you Mason for making my stay exceptionally nice!
Cons:One of the few LaQuintas which does not have a full breakfast . now. Waffle cereal and toaster still good, but it is really nice to have eggs and sausage or bacon as well. It has been nicely updated however.
Cons:Stayed here in the 2008 and it was very pleasant. Clearly they have done nothing to keep up the property since then. It need work.

Pros:Once we finally got the room we paid for, it was spacious and clean. And it's dog friendly. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Cons:They didn't have the room we booked when we arrived, so we were put into a terrible double that they claimed was non-smoking but smelled strongly of smoke (and was wedged between nonsmoking rooms). The beds were canoes and the pillows were equally uncomfortable. The poor girl handling reception was apparently the only employee working at the time and the check-in line was several families strong. I had to return to the front desk because the first two sets of key cards completely didn't work. While the staff was great, they were definitely overworked. The whole place seemed mismanaged.
Pros:Clean, with no apparent flaws, except for what I listed.
Cons:The rooms were tight when I arrived. When I opened the room, a stale smell of smoke greeted me. I looked at the TV cabinet and saw an ashtray. I lived with it knowing how full it was. Upon leaving I asked the front desk staff whether this room had ever been used for smoking. She replied "no, but I would give you credit to your account, but you booked though Kayak and we cannot help you". This was the frustrating part.

Pros:Great staff, breakfast included clean. plenty of parking. Overall a pleasant stay. Great value for your traveling dollar. I would stay there again.
Cons:The internet! Oh. my. god. it was slow! Practically useless. I had to use my iPhone as a mobile hotspot to get decent internet. Used Speedtest.net to get the numbers: 0.28 Mbps down / 0.10 Mbps up with a ping of 31ms. Strong wi-fi signal, though. Notified the staff, so hopefully they will have it fixed soon.
