No car available! My plan flipped because they don't have car! Why take bookings and give hope to customer when you can't provide car! Very stubborn company and been running like this for years and dont want to update their website and system to comfort customers! Will never use again!

Pros:

Staff was great, price was very reasonable and drop off was easy.

The interior windows were dirty and had a hard time seeing the road because of it.

Easy renting it @ the airport, friendly staff

Cons:

The walk to & from the terminal. Also no one to show me different features such as turning off & on wipers, how to work the sun roof, didn't know there was a lever in the car to release the fuel door. Twice the vehicle I wanted wasn't there.

They gave me an suv with no winter tires during the worst snow storm of the year which is illegal to drive in certain parts of BC. I slid right into a snowbank, had to get towed out, and drove 30km/hr the rest of the way home because it was so bad.

Service was great at drop off and pick up. Chosen car was nice sized sedan. My dismay was that I rented a car in BC with Alberta plates. I am from BC, live in Alberta. Alberta drivers in BC are treated with generally more aggression and disrespect. I did call the office and was issued a claim # incase any problems arose. I didn't drive the car very much and was a significant waste of money as I had alot of people to see and things to do. Service was great, I will know going forward to ensure my rental has BC plates. In seven days, almost $400, the car was driven maybe 3hrs total? That makes me sad.

Everything was great, also considering that I arrived at the airport a little before midnight and the Avis employee was waiting for me to give me the key and all. Saturday night, too... Many thanks to that wonderful lady employee!

Pros:

The older gentlemen that work the shuttles were very kind and friendly. That is where the positive experience ends.

Cons:

Like other reviewers have reported, I had a quote emailed to me and when I arrived to pickup the vehicle it was $150 more!! I asked about price matching, or honouring the quote and he was extremely unhelpful and would not even look at my email I had received.
