Each year, Vienna hosts Design Week, which brings together designers from all over Austria and the world. It is hosted across a number of venues throughout the city at the end of September, with a different theme each year. Why not opt for a design-led hotel, such as the high-end House of Time in Leopoldstadt.
If you’d like to stay on the banks of the River Danube, which travels from Germany through 10 countries including Austria, along the Donaukanal off-shoot, you will find Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom, which offers stunning views over the river and the city centre. Pro " It was a very good hotel, especially the staffs were excellent. But I did not understand why it was presented as a 4 stars hotel but my room was considered as 3 stars one, I tell this because it had not some services that all 4 stars hotel have. Pro " The receptionist(Ava) was extremely friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this hotel. "
Con " The bathroom in our friends room should have had a grab rail over the bath, for safety reasons and this made it a little difficult for them. Also in both bathrooms there is a shelf over the sink, which made it virtually impossible to wash your face or clean your teeth. This did not spoil or holiday at all, but could make things a little bit easier if rectified. apart from this, the hotel stay was perfect. "
