Pros: Everything was just perfect! Nathalie and Cyril were such welcoming and friendly hosts and took really good care of us. Very spacious room with privacy, the beds were very comfortable. The accommodation was beautifully decorated, with a lot of taste. The room was very clean. The garden was amazing! Every corner of the property was a sight. Breakfast was delicious. Had a fantastic stay! Can’t find anything to pick on. Highly recommended!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful environment with a large garden, lovely pin trees and pool. I enjoyed the configuration of the mazets, very private. Only a few KMs away from St-Remy. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay again at this property.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting, the breakfast the family who rund the place, everything was just perfect!
Cons: Nothing could’ve been better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything - from location to facilities, but particularly the flexibility of the maisonette with its excellent kitchen. Pool was great too.
Cons: the incessant noise of the cicadas but nothing can be done about that!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Taxi service. Very difficult to explore the area if you didn’t rent a car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful, relaxing, quiet, great breakfast, warm hosts, spotlessly clean, comfortable room, beautiful gardens, lovely pool. The hosts had great local knowledge and we wouldn’t have had the experience that we had without their guidance. Perfect stay and can’t wait to go back!
Cons: Nothing, all perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice, well equipped, clean and peaceful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely stay, the room was clean and well laid out and the aircon was a blessing! Breakfasts were excellent and relaxed. The pool was ideal, part shaded and always clean. Overall a great experience!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We choose that B&B short notice, because we have been there 2 years ago. Quite, petit, hugh garden, high level of privacy, everything you need for selfservice you will find in the garden kitchen if you book a room. This time we booked an apartment, stylish, full / well equipped kitchenette with Microwave, Sanseo... We had our Nespresso...so perfect
Cons: Next time I would appreciate that the towels will be changed after 3 or 4 nights.

Pros: This is exactly what we imagined Provence to be. Highly recommend this location.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The property is an old building suitably renovated as a hotel with different sized rooms either in the main building or garden annex. It is a small sized hotel with a very central location. Private parking is limited but available. It is run by a family who are focussed on home comforts such as free coffee and tea and homemade cookies and cakes available in the lounge.
Cons: Our room wason the ground floor, garden annex, and quite cramped. At night we slept with the window open and received a visit by the family cat, who came looking for a warm place to sleep!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The village location it was in was gorgeous- had a lovely evening stroll down the canal, and meal in the village square. Hotel itself was very clean, staff friendly and full of old style French charm!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very accommodating.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The host was fantastic and she worked very hard to make it enjoyable. She gave us detailed information when we arrived about what we could do in the area. Breakfast was really lovely and a great start to the day
Cons: We should have chosen a larger room. The smaller room would suit younger couples better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is in an ideal location. The hostess was wonderful and helped us with some challenging transportation related issues. The included breakfast was a wonderful traditional French breakfast. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a centrally located hotel with the charm of a very old residence updated with clean modern furnishments.
Cons: All of the rooms were a bit different. Our room - while absolutely lovely overall - had a shower that was difficult to utilize given ceiling height issues. Other guests had no such issues. We were a late booking so it may be worth asking about this concern if you are booking well in advance. Had we known about this - we still would have made the booking because everything else was so great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A really charming, characterful building - in a great location, a very short walk from the Pope's Palace. The room was small but very comfortable with a well equipped bathroom. Delicious breakfast. Our host was really helpful and recomended fantastic places for dinner - and phoned the restaurants to book for us.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great welcome from Verron eque The old building had great charm and charactgrrrre
Cons: Our bedroom could have had more floor space
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our favorite accommodations in our 2 week trip in France - just wished we had stayed more than one night. The hosts were so generous with their time in helping us navigate Avignon. Also the hotel was more like a retreat in that there were outside\inside living areas to relax after a day of sightseeing. There was a delicious full cooked breakfast as well.
Cons: Nothing! It was perfect!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was fabulous, welcoming and could do nothing more to make the stay more pleasant. Great recommendation on local place for dinner.
7.0 Good
Pros: Central location. Close to Palais des Papes and many restaurants.
Cons: Not easily accessible for taxis and uber. Plan to walk a bit, which can be challenging with luggage. Wifi didn't work in some rooms. Rooms are accessed via staircases so be ready to cary luggage.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Small, friendly hotel in a good location. Steve & Sophie are welcoming hosts, offering a good, filling breakfast to start the day & a pleasant glass of wine in the garden in the evening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Glad we found this little gem..Having stayed in Avignon previously we decided to venture a little further this time and so happy we did. The hotel is in a great location, with bus service into Avignon if you wish. We preferred to walk.Could not fault the hotel in anyway. We were looking for a quiet break which was badly needed and the hotel and location did not let us down. Garden and pool were perfect in the hot sun. Hosts were kind and helpful and we will definitely be back next year... and this is our place to stay. Just loved every minute and wish we had stayed longer...
Cons: Nothing...all great
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: Our room can be looked into by pedestrians.. breakfast is not interesting
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about this property, which is more like a B&B (breakfast as an optional extra). The hosts are lovely and welcoming. It was quiet, our room was lovely, the garden and pool are beautiful.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We decided to stop off here for a night instead of stay in Avignon and so pleased we did. The interior decor is incredible - very quirky and individual. Staff lovely and everything run very efficiently with a personal touch. We went to a lovely restaurant for dinner in the village (also lovely), which was superb, recommended by Steve. Definitely give it a go!
Cons: The entrance to the car park was a little difficult to find and the pool still a little chilly even though ‘heated’ but that is really trying hard to find something to say in this box!

Pros: The property was very conveniently located, very nice rooms, comfortable beds, pillows, and very friendly staff
Cons: The WiFi could be better.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous pool and large comfortable room and clean bathroom.
Cons: No tea or coffee making facilities in the room and unable to get one except at breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small hidden away in Villeneuve les Avignon this may be the best overall value in the entire Avignon area. Excellent service, wonderful dinners in the restaurant and peaceful garden setting. There is no doubt we will return to this b&b on our next trip.
Cons: The parking is a bit cramped but manageable and Jean Paul is happy to help you to the right spot.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was a good typically French breakfast. Eating it outside under a grapevine, overlooking the pool was a real bonus. We had perfect weather during our stay which greatly added to our experience. After a day out, coming back to a swim in the pool within the walled garden was blissful. Villeneuve- les- Avignon both of itself and for exploring the surrounding area is an excellent location with great transport links. I would be happy to recommend Les Jardins De La Livree.
Cons: The weather was extremely hot during our stay and on our return from a long day out it would have been nice for tea/coffee making facilities to have been available in our room, especially as when we asked for a cup of tea we were told the place was closed on that day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, great location, lovely pool, great breakfast.
Cons: No tea or coffee making facilities in room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous little French boutique b&b/hotel tucked away down a historic back street in an upscale village on the outskirts of Avignon. Awesome find - just wish it was warmer and I could have take advantage of the pool as well

The breakfast was delicious and I really appreciated the flexibility of my host (late booking and late arrival). I strongly recommend to stay at New Cabanon and would stay there again if I come back in the area.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Private accommodation detached from the main house. Large grounds and no traffic as far from main roads. These is a bedroom toilet and small salon
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is beautifully presented , well equipped and spotlessly clean . The gardens and setting are delightful as is the lovely heated pool and there are plenty of shaded areas to shelter from the midday sun. The location is perfect for exploring the local area - just over a Euro takes you into Avignon by bus - the bus stop is only 5/10 mins walk and the buses are regular well into late evening . From Avignon you can take trips to the surrounding wine growing regions and attractions - Pont du Gard well worth a visit ! What made the stay extra special though was our host Valerie - her hospitality and attention to detail was amazing - it made our holiday really special - would love to visit again !
Cons: Definitely having to go home !

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything, lovely place
Cons: Cant think of anything.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful gardens, room and pool. Good food though very expensive.
Cons: Hotel staff said when we checked in we would have to pay for breakfast (26 euros each) if we wanted to eat there and only when we checked out did I see we had prepaid breakfast. I mentioned this and they were unapologetic. This is highly dishonest. We paid nearly $200 for breakfast we never ate. The AC in our room did not work. When I asked about it they asked me what temp I wanted and I said 20C and they acted shocked. It never did get fixed The tv had very limited channels with CNN being the only English speaking one. The TV did not work normally and at times had no picture The high-end toilet was equipped with a Japanese style cleaning spray which did not work at all. For 300+ Euros a night I expect better. I would not go back. The breakfast issue was particularly galling.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant is excellent.
Cons: Many problems with wifi conections.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the hotel very much. It was in a good location between the station and the town centre. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom was great and there were enough electric sockets. The wifi was reasonable. Breakfast was lovely and as I have been recently diagnosed coeliac I appreciated the provision of gluten free bread. Also we got stuck one day at Pont du Gard when a service bus didn’t turn up and the hotel reception organised a taxi for us which was a life saver.

Pros: Location excellent - very near railway station, with numerous eating places nearby. Room small but comfortable, bed very comfortable, shower and all other equipment functioned perfectly. I didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that.
Cons: The only problem for me, being a senior, was that room was on 3rd floor and there is no lift. I perfectly understand that there is just no room, but that was a difficulty for me. In all other respects everything was good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They took very good care of my mother After a hard journey to France

Pros: Very good location in side street close to the town's train station and tourist office. The owner was friendly, the room good. Didn't have breakfast or use any of the facilities.
Cons: The bathroom in our room (number 6) was very very small. Everything worked well but ideally we would have appreciated a larger bathroom.

La Mirande - Avignon - Building
12
9.0 Excellent (329 reviews)
C$ 603+
Overview Reviews
Staying at La Mirande is a journey back through centuries of exquisite French decorative art. La Mirande is a living historical monument in a romantic setting, a quiet cobbled square shared with the famous Popes Palace. Carefully restored to their original splendor all guestrooms have authentic period interiors with boiserie and chintz wall coverings and invisible state of the art technology. Lavishly decorated reception rooms are laid out around a delightful wicker-spiffed courtyard conservatory. The oldest and largest of them, a magnificent renaissance state room serves as the main restaurant, awarded with a Michelin star in 2019, with a terrace and a blissful garden for open air dining in the summer. Downstairs is the authentic 19th century kitchen, which offers table dhte dining and is also the venue for popular year long cooking classes.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff and the location
Cons: It is almost impossible getting their by car. Missed some things on the room like a coffee makee
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room we reserved and got was very small. Had asked for twin beds and they were right next to each other with about 3 ft of space around the beds. Tight squeeze. Bathroom was also quite small with tub/shower combo. Asked to change rooms and the front desk was nice enough to accommodate us with a slightly bigger room the next day. One has to expect that some of the rooms in this former palace are going to be small and feel dated because of the period furniture. The armchair we had was a Louis VI style and would only hold a size 2 woman sitting straight up. Wallpaper and others furniture are also antiquated. All is clean and well maintained. Double sinks are close together. All high end bath fixtures and linens/towels. The common spaces are generous and beautiful since they are on the ground floor with very high ceilings. Service was excellent. Location is right behind the papal palace. Difficult to reach with a car because of the very narrow one way streets. A GPS is a must. Once there, which is really a block away, must get the porter to come and help you get off the street. It’s a two man job since the driver is blocking the street.
Cons: See above.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very good location.
Cons: Dont worry about paying for the view of the Popes palace - you’ll be staring at a stone wall. Rooms smallish and shower adequate at best. You will haemorrhage €€ for anything extra - like breakfast, parking, drink at the bar. If you want to have dinner here book ahead.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is outstanding; staff could not be more helpful or respectful. Beautiful room, excellent dinner and breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and helpful staff. Great hospitality. Great location in the super centre of the city. Beautiful hotel. Delicious breakfast with high quality foods. Nice shower and water system. Classic decor but newly renovated with hidden modern features. Love the unique dimming feature of the light.
Cons: Deluxe room is too small according to my standard. Access road to the hotel is very narrow and the GPS and Google Map doesn’t work. Please stick to a special map given by the hotel, print it out and navigate manually if you come by car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Historic property in a great location.
Cons: No complaints
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Thé hôtel décoration staff food propreté
Cons: The way to arrive to the hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: When we arrived, our room was smaller than we had anticipated. The staff was wonderful in upgrading our reservation to a larger room. The staff were accommodating in every area. They helped arrange tours and drivers for us. The location was perfect. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Cons: The breakfast was adequate and convenient but overpriced. Our room was smaller than expected, but the staff quickly remedied that situation for us.

7.9 Good
Pros: Very nicely located, close to the pope's palace/city center. Stefan is an amazing host - I was sick during my time of stay and he was very helpful.
Cons: There was some construction happening down the road and even with all windows closed, one could hear the noise all through the day. Also, the bath didn't have hot water at all times. And the wifi in the room almost never caught the signal. All this could have been fixed maybe, but I was too sick to bring it up to Stefan's notice.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a relatively expensive hotel but worth every eurocent . It really does deserve its official five star rating. Staff are extremely helpful. The gardens are very beautiful and the quiet and shade of the outdoor terraces crept into our hearts and made us happy. Our room was comfortable and immaculately clean. There was no lift but staff were quick to carry our bags up and down the stairs. We had dinner in the hotel and it was excellent in terms of content , choice and value in terms of the restaurant's Michelin star status. The location was somewhat distant from Avignon town centre but this was not a problem as a 12 euro taxi ride took us there
Cons: Standard breakfast was expensive but we chose the express breakfast which was a continental breakfast and was priced similarly to cafes nearby. Not a problem for us.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Incredible place in an incredible location!
7.9 Good
Pros: Reception staff lovely. Room lovely.
Cons: Not enough waiting staff for a five star hotel. No bar area or bartender so was hard to find someone to get a drink. No one around the pool to get a drink. Had to walk to reception. Arrived mid afternoon and could not even get a snack to eat. Had to walk into village which was lovely but just wanted to relax around the pool after a long drive. No drinks menu through the day to choose what you’d like to drink. The restaurant in the evening was so suppose to be one Michelin star. Not sure if the chef was on holiday but the food was not great. Mine was fine but my husbands fillet of beef was a chewy bad cut of meat with no flavour. I noticed the people at the next table sent their beef back. Not the standards of a Michelin star. Breakfast ok. The hotel setting looks like a five star but the service and facilities are lacking.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff were extremely good
Cons: The air conditioning in our room was a little noisy
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms the grounds the staff were so accommodating… We love Tiffany. Great pastry shops around for morning coffee
Cons: The only complaint was there was no coffee or tea set up in the room… That really is a must when I was trying to leave five
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, excellent gardens. Staff very nice and helpful. Excellent breakfast and dinner at the restaurant.
Cons: They close the restaurante 2 nights (Tuesday and Wednesday) without any notice. The shower is very old, all the water went out. Buildings need maintenance. Cleaning staff did not clean properly my room in 2 ocassions. I talked to the Manager and everything worked fine.
7.7 Good
Pros: We liked the room, pool and grounds of the hotel. The area was wonderful for walking and sightseeing. The staff was very helpful and responsive to our needs.
Cons: We felt that the dinner was very overpriced and was more presentation then delicious. I requested a green salad but was told that I could not vary from the menu. For such a lovely hotel I would expect that a green salad would not be too much to ask.
6.3 Good
Pros: food and service
Cons: troppo vicino alle rotaie del treno
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Liked eveerything
7.7 Good
Pros: Beautiful grounds and gardens. Hotel is in a quaint, small town within an easy 5 min. drive of Avignon and has much more charm than Avignon. We booked the least expensive room and were given a lovely room with garden view which was quite large.
Cons: no
7.6 Good
Pros: Wonderful restuarant
Cons: Breakfast was expensive, but provided little.

Cons: Nothing
5.4 Okay
Pros: The property itself was attractive. The service was Ok.
Cons: The location is away from the old town and the surroundings were not very interesting. I think we could have found a hotel in the old town and had better value.
7.5 Good
Pros: It's at a good location for sure and staff is very nice. There is a gate to enter, parking is behind the gate and feels safe.
Cons: There was a weird smell in our room. Also it's really a motel and feels like a motel, bright lights in the rooms, not so nice colors, so definitely not very romantic for a couple trip. It served it's purpose, that's it, we stopped by there on the way to Spain. The pictures on booking show all the pretty common areas, which makes it look a bit deceiving in my opinion.

Hôtel Le Magnan - Avignon - Bedroom

8.7 Excellent (1,182 reviews)
C$ 98+
Overview Reviews
Hotel Le Magnan is a small boutique hotel located in the heart of the ramparts of the historic city of Avignon, which honors Provencal lifestyle and friendliness. Push the door ... We offer you 30 fully equipped conditioned rooms, most with views of the garden, a lovely patio where you can enjoy a moment of relaxation after a day of sightseeing or business or enjoy a little there lunch on sunny days. Our concern is the quality of the stay that you will spend in Avignon. From the hotel, you can stroll along the canal in the picturesque "rue des teinturiers" (street of dyers) and following the streets of old Avignon, you'll reach on foot the Papal Palace.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money hotel in the old town center, right behind the ramparts. Newly renovated rooms, very clean. Doors open in a small cosy yard. Nice breakfast. Helpful staff. You can park your car in a private parking nearby for extra 12 euro per day.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good, and the location is almost perfect. The staff was helpful, and the hotel has an enticing atmosphere. With a decent weather the whole stay would have been wonderful, but weather is not decision variable.
Cons: The usual concept of a double bedroom with one chair (and little space) is not really the most comfortable idea. The calmness of the patio had a compensating effect., that could not be used to full, unfortunately.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful and very cozy. It is next to the wall of the city, but a bit far from the center and at night it's a bit scary. 10 min away by walking from city centre and cafés.
Cons: The hotel is beautiful and very cozy. It is next to the wall of the city, but a bit far from the center and at night it's a bit scary. 10 min away by walking from city centre and cafés.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean , friendly staff.
Cons: If no coffee in room should not charge for it in restaurant I think. V small rooms but manageable. Parking a little distance away
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet rooms. Our room overlooked the pretty courtyard. Breakfast was good, with plenty to eat. Very convenient from bus station and Avignon Centre railway station.
Cons: It would be good to have a kettle in the room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great people! Very attentive to your needs.
Cons: A little far from downtown. Can’t take the car as it is very difficult to park. So you have to walk and it’s a little far

Pros: Great location.
Cons: No elevator

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Kyriad Avignon Palais Des Papes, you'll be centrally located in Avignon, steps from Place de l'Horloge and 3 minutes by foot from Palais des Papes. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: For the price and location it was excellent value and good quality. It is basic - not fancy - and the price reflects that. We could have paid a lot more at another hotel but this met our needs. We were surprised that breakfast was so great. A huge choice and fresh bread, cheese, eggs and sausage etc. Decent coffee and even a frozen yogurt machine! The bedroom and bathroom were both immaculate. Parking at thé Palais des Papes was easy and there was a huge choice of restaurants locally. If we came back we would probably stay here again.
Cons: We found it a little cramped in the room and also far too hot. Thé air conditioner only created warm air which probably is what people want in November but we were too warm!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service and an excellent breakfast. It's right on the Place de l'Horloge, convenient to the Palace of the Popes and the other sights, as well as many excellent restaurants.
Cons: It's an older building that can be tricky to navigate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location cannot be beat. The main reason to visit Avignon is to be in the old town and this is in the center of everything. The room was clean with it's own bathroom.
Cons: Since the hotel is in the old town, parking was confusing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent and easier to reach from the car park than we expected. The beds were super comfortable!
Cons: It was disappointing that there was no gluten free bread available for breakfast so we had to use our own. The staff did not seem to realise what 'gluten free' meant. This is despite the fact that we informed the hotel at the time of booking that 2 of us were gluten free. Also it's quite easy to buy GF bread at big supermarkets like Leclerc. Kyriad is a big chain so this should not be difficult to arrange.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and very friendly staff.
Cons: Everything was fine.
6.3 Good
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: We were given a room (29) at the back of the property in an annex building overlooking a wall and an alley. There was no lift to access it and you had to cross an open air patio to get to it. Hence it rained during our stay, we got wet even before reaching the street. The room was on top of the exhaustion pipe of the restaurant downstairs, so all the fumes and smells went right into us. There was also the issue of the cooks having their breaks right beneath our window, smoking, chatting, watching videos... After 2 nights we were given a different room in the main building and that was better.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owner of the hotel. Finds time to answer questions.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was ideal right in the old part of town. A very good restaurant was right next door...and others also close. The staff were all very helpful and went out of their way to help. Since our booking, my husband had a fall and was in a wheelchair and they took the initiative to put us in a handicap room, which was very helpful and much appreciated. If we go back to Avignon, we definitely would stay there again!
Cons: Can't think of one thing.

Pros: Very nicely restored. Room was small but well organized. Very friendly staff. Nice and quiet place.

7.5 Good
Pros: Air conditioning available Good breakfast Close to public parking to then access the old Avignon city
Cons: Too far to walk into Avignon Not recommended to walk as the road is too narrow with vehicle traffic

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is good! 4 minutes to the train station and 2 minutes to the tourist information and the main street. There are restaurants and cafes all around, supermarkets as well. Very convenient. The breakfast is good too, but you need to pay US$10. We had breakfast there every morning and we were satisfied.
Cons: There is no elevator, only steps. But the owner is helping me with my luggage all the time.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Very thin walls. Could hear everything outside the room. Including footsteps and baby birds. But hey small price to pay for a well located, friendly hotel.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Excellent location. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast and excellent coffee. Comfort bed.
Cons: Cramped bedroom and bathroom. Very poor cleanliness. Stained carpets and general lack of care throughout the communal areas.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location!
Cons: Parking a bit tricky.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very sympathetic personal, cute place in beautiful old house
Cons: No Hairdryer in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and clean little historic hotel in the heart of Avignon. Best starting point to explore the old city centre. We stayed as family and felt very welcome right from the beginning. Thanks to the very friendly host Frédéric.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location within the old city but only short walk to railway station. Comfy beds. Near all the historic sites and museums.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: There was a nightclub nearby. It wasn’t too noisy with the window closed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect; it was quiet but very close to restaurants and a short walk from the station. Very friendly host. The room had a lovely little terrace - wish we'd had longer to appreciate it really.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Communications prior to arrival were excellent and good location.
Cons: In checking in around 8 PM is when things started to go down hill. In openning our room door there was a funny smell and the balcony door was open, later that evening when we switched the lights off and went to bed we immediately heard the buzzing of Mosquitoes around our heads and found it near impossible to get to sleep; this was continious throughtout the night. The following day we were both covered in bites. This was immediately raised with the hotel owner who advised to keep the balcony door closed and the airconditioning on; which we did. Again althrough the next night the same problem. By the end of the second night with little sleep I had between 50-60 bites. Again this was raised with the hotel owner who agreed to spray the room and was surprised we did not have a wall plug in spray in our room which he again agreed to install. On return to our room later that day the room had been sprayed but the plug in unit was still missing and had to be requested. It was also noted dotted around the room wall were swashed Mosquitoes from previous occupants. The room itself had paper peeling from the bathroom ceiling, had very poor lighting and had not been vacuumed during our 5 day stay.
