4.0 Okay
Pros: Was central , but surrounding area was poor rundown, scruffy , hotel could do with a paint job inside and out , seals on windows had failed so windows condenstated unable to see out , but the room was clean and large
6.3 Good
Pros: Central location
Cons: No facilities in place due to the coronavirus, which is understandable, however didn’t appreciate being asked to pay for parking on top of no breakfast , Little things go a long way !!!
1.0 Poor
Pros: The only thing going for this hotel is it's views (which are nothing short of breath taking). It's a shame cos at one point this hotel must of been beautiful but that seems along time ago now. The only thing more washed out than the decor is the managers attitude. A total lack of courtesy, professionalism and maintenance seriously let's this hotel down......but the bacon is nice at breakfast, so it maybe has two things going for it
Cons: A total unwillingness to help by a majority of staff....Not all but most.
6.0 Good
Pros: The feel of the hotel, the red carpets, the lights.
Cons: TV in the room - still don't know how to operate it.

Cons: Not much choice on evening menu
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and to a point the car park.
Cons: Evening dinner service appalling. Parking spaces far too small. Of the 4 nights one of the days the room was not cleaned or serviced at all. Bar service not good. Breakfast in consistent.
7.0 Good
Pros: The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and efficient. The decor is great and the hotel is very clean.
Cons: The room was very small and dark, Breakfast was good, the coffee was terrible. Tables very close together in restaurant. Not much space to relax in.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautifully decorated.Breakfast choice and quality is excellent.Views from restaurant are lovely. Bed very comfortable
Cons: Our bedroom was small which I was a bit disappointed about.I did book a sea view room which we did have but I will be more careful in future as the size of the room spoilt it a bit for me.It only had one chair and I did feel that was a bit strange ,another one would have fitted even though the room was small the design of the one chair available was compact.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is an old grand building over looking the sea. It has great views from the Brassie where you can enjoy a lovely meal of good cooked local food. The bar is very relaxing for a pre or after dinner drink. It is 2 minute walk from the town center, great location. Has own car park and the staff are very welcoming, attentive and polite. Very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Great views from our hotel room from the balcony over looking the sea. Large comfortable sea view room room and spacious bathroom.
Cons: The hotel although comfortable, does need a bit of money spending on it. Although we had a comfortble two nights, the bed has seen better days. The bathroom was spacious, but has old things like a shower curtain, rather than a shower screen. Furniture is a little tired in the rooms. We still enjoyed our stay, but the hotel definately could do with some money spending to add those modern touches of the 21st century, but still keeping its old charm. Car park was great, but could do with resurfacing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was magnificent. The beds are really comfy and good clean bedding. The staff very helpful and friendly. Overall a very very good and happy experience. Highly recommended and would definitely revisit again.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were very clean and comfortable, lovely views over the harbour from the main restaurant
Cons: I was a little disappointed that my parents had gone back to this hotel where they had their honeymoon to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary, staying for a week & there wasn’t even a small token to acknowledge the event. I know they don’t have to but just a small glass of fizz would have been nice.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely but would like to have had more information on what was available
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent and the views were great. Very comfortable beds and lovely bathroom.
Cons: Our bedroom window was only single glazed and rattled and whistled in the wind. It let a lot of draft in too. But apart from that we loved the hotel.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, very good, helpful waiting staff, a thoroughly nice experience
Cons: Some of the receptionists & female managers could do with a refresher on the customer service course, instead of palpable distain for the guests
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a room with a lovely view over fistral beach, just what we wanted. The location is perfect to go to the beach, walk into newquay, walk over to the estuary. We did all of these. The breakfast was lovely. The hotel is a little tired, but being done up. It has a lovely pool which we also enjoyed. It was a great price for what we got and we would defintely go back
Cons: We were a little unsure of the eating options there seemed to be a menu, but we couldn't smell anything cooking or see people eating.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely and clean
Cons: Was disappointed that the swimming pool and fitness suite was shut but I know couldn’t of been helped in the circumstances.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Leaving
Cons: Bogey on wall. Noise level atrocious.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Rude staff, basic facilities. Made to feel unwelcome and awkward! I’d never return. The barman was obnoxious and reception staff were rude and inappropriate.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I have stayed at this hotel around six times in the last few years. I love the location, and they are dog friendly. I had a nice dinner in the Sixty Bistro one night and was pleasantly surprised that was also dog friendly. I can see some areas have been refurbished since my last stay.
Cons: The dark haired lady receptionist was not very friendly but the other 2 blonde ladies were lovely. I was dissapointed with a few items in the room and I did discuss this with the nice blond receptionist. The toilet in my bathroom was 1 cm from the wall and impossible to sit on properly - I small physique so it would be even worse for larger people - I am surprised no one has complained before - room 112. The lighting in the bedroom was also poor and the light above the mirror in the bathroom did not work - the toilet roll holder was also loose. There were other small details in the hotel which could do with some maintenance. I left my business card with the receptionist - I am an Interior Designer and planning to move to Cornwall later this year. I would be happy to go through the rooms and show you how you could improve the clients stay by changing a few details.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was excellent, big enough. The view is not very bad it not very far to the beach.
Cons: Car park is not enough for the hotel. Needed big car park for coaches

Pros: The staff was very pleasant and welcoming.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a comfortable stay in a well-designed hotel and excellent facilities. Breakfast was generally good and the distance to the beach was reasonable.
Cons: WiFi was weak. Cleanliness could be improved (when I pay over £200 per night I do expect cleanliness to be exceptional!)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is in an beautiful location. Good breakfast with a wide choice of food served by pleasant, friendly staff. Dinner in the Herring restaurant was excellent. I loved the sound of the Santa experience and wish I had a child to take along and share the pleasure. The 60s decor was an unexpected and very retro stylish step back in time: loved the unique Christmas tree.
Cons: The swimming pool was too cold to swim in. I tried but was still cold even after quickly swimming several lengths. Water temperature was tested and initially I accepted the explanation that the pool had recently been refilled but it should have been warm the following day. Perhaps the temperature needs to be turned up for cold winter, sunless days.

Pros: There was no hand soap told them at reception and this was there policy not to provide any. It was 30 quid each security bonding got to the room tv was broken reported it to reception only to be told that an engineer could not fix it until the next day. We wanted another room ended up nor staying and getting our money back. The reception lady did not give eye contact and huffed and puffed when she had to refund us also forgot to say big hole in the wall in the room from the door being pushed into it. This was room 45 at berties lodge on Valentine's nite. Would never stay again
Cons: The customer service or lack if it no towels in the room or even hand soap holes in the wall and a broken tv in the room very durty

Pros: In the centre of Wadebridge, a really welcoming pub with rooms - good value and a really generous breakfast (great veggie options)! Staff super friendly!
Cons: Bathroom had pump system to deal with waste water, bit noisy but not really a big issue.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff and food were very good. The location was excellent for middle of town.
Cons: There was no parking. My room though clean, smelled of cigarettes, also I had to climb 2 flights of stairs with a crutch as had broken toe.
