Pros: nice vibe, fragrance of the shangrila, pool with amazing view, very spacious room, buffet lot of choices
Cons: beds are hard, could be more comfy
Pros: Everything is perfect
Pros: Amazing hotel with a great view outstanding service Very professional staff High quality
Cons: It’s expensive and you need to pay extra for the breakfast and it is overpriced
Pros: It was very clean and well maintained. The front doorman and the reception's staffs at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. It is 15 min cab ride away from the Sungsan Taipei Airport and lots of major attractions and shopping malls are within 15 min cab rise away including Taipei 101. The roof top outdoor pool has a great view of Taipei city and Taipei 101.
Cons: It is a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. The closest metro station is 10 min walk away but not good when the weather is 29-30 deg C.
Pros: I have had nothing but very happy experiences with Shangri-la Far Eastern Plaza in my annual visits. But this time, I want to draw particular attention to the staff on the front desk and concierge: Christopher, Jeffrey and Charlie. I left my phone in a taxi and Christopher and Jeffrey were assiduous in their efforts to find it for me. It was returned within the hour. I cannot thank them enough for moving so quickly to reassure me. Charlie was in charge of checking me in and out. We can sometimes overlook how encounters like these can make or break a stay in a hotel. But excellent service from Charlie reminded me it does matter. I would also like to thank the staff in the Horizon Lounge for being so good about making sure I received my chosen newspaper every day. I will be returning to this same hotel next year - and am looking forward to it even now.
Cons: Nothing worth the mention.
Pros: Great breakfast and buffet dinner. Nice view. Supermarket downstairs. Live music at the lobby. Lots of elevators. Running routes plan in the room. Nice gym.
Cons: The food and the service at Marco Polo Italian restaurant was a bit disappointing, very limited choices of dishes, though the view and design is great. I tried to book a big room with a view on Taipei 101, couldn't figure out how to do it.

Pros: - very clean room, and pretty and new - swimming pool is nice, big, friendly for kids - welcome is very professional, and they gave me room before check in, because I was so tired from 13 hours flight, for that I am thankful. - the Italian restaurant is amazing, very high quality food and service
Pros: Very nice 5-star hotel in Taipei
Cons: Location isn’t perfect to my opinion
Pros: Swimming pool
Cons: I had to wait for more than 5 minutes in a SPA shower for water to turn warm
Pros: The hotel is stunning as are the rooms. The staff are very attentive and recall little things you discussed even the day after. Breakfast is amazing and stunningly presented.
Cons: The wifi has to be paid for in addition to room rate which seems quite ridiculous considering how much the nightly rate is.
Pros: Mandarin Oriental continues to deliver. Outstanding service, amazing bedroom, wonderful staff. Lovely swimming pool
Cons: Hotel feels a bit less "holidayesque" and more business than other South East Asian hotels. Guests get more indulged with extra's in BKK, for instance. Missed a nice hotel lobby sitting area-bar that was open all evening. The tea room closes at 7 PM.

Pros: We had the 8th floor and the view from the bathroom was just great. The room is realy good and the hotel has a very good design. All in all it is a very nice Hotel with a good location. I would stay there again.
Cons: The breakfast cold be better. We stood up late due to the jetlag and there was no bread anymore. From the 100 noodle soups available my girlfriend could not find a single vegetarian one.
Pros: Friendly Staff and clear instructions about the rooms and facilities. Free snacks and drinks for the guests as well. Overall a great stay
Cons: The location would be a little far from the shopping district. It is a trade-off as more quiet when resting at night. The room TV might be distracting when sleeping
Cons: Just some loud guests stayed next to our room
Pros: Cool vibe and very convenient location for exploring the Ximending area!
Cons: Wish we would have stayed longer!
Pros: The atmosphere was very good and kindful
Pros: The social corner on level 2 provides a good space for friends who wish to chill out together at night, chat over a drink. There is also a snack corner whereby they provided free cup noodles for those who needed supper. Snacks and cup noodles were top up promptly every day. The laundry room was good too. The staff were all very helpful, service of the hotel was excellent. We had actually asked the staff if they had any used carton box to spare us for our bottled whiskey. They didn't have it there and then but offered to keep a look out for us before we check out. Didn't expect them to remember but they not only found us a carton box but also prepared bubble wrap for us! We are very impressed with their initiatives. The staff also helped to leave our clothes into the dryer when we were late to collect our laundry out from the washing machine to dry. These small actions and initiatives really made our stay felt very at home. Thank you to all staff of Cho Hotel for being part of our beautiful memory in TPE!
Cons: There is really nothing to dislike about his hotel.
Pros: The social room and the laundry room is good.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Service, service, service. The eagerness of the staff so apparent that made me smile. I am ever so impressed with the list of (extra) things a guest could ask for: lamp, ice, hangers, comforters, towels, bottled water, scale (for luggage), etc. Considerate, thoughtful to a point they've foreseen things we didn't even think to need. Warms my heart. The sliding doors to turn shower-lavatory stalls & vanity area into the full bathroom is something I want in my own house!.
Pros: Luxurious decor, firmness of bed, well-curated and chosen furniture & amenities, speed of service, earnestness & eagerness from staff, proximity to good food & fabulous shopping, short walk yo MRT station. The list goes on.
Cons: Adding one light fixture brighter than other fixtures to a room would be excellent. An ice machine - perhaps on the fifth floor. Blinds to provide shade for the front desk/reception area for it gets sunny & quite hot in the afternoon. Travel worn new guests checking in for their rooms would appreciate it. I know I would.
Pros: The rooms were big, location excellent.
Cons: Lack of trash bin in room, lack of areas to hang clothes.
Pros: The hotel is located in shopping area nearby SOGO dept store. Easy to commute to the hotel just 5 minutes walk from MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station. Room is clean and drinks are provided everyday during I stay there. Taiwanese staff are nice I was surprised they can speak Thai. Impressive!
Pros: The room looks big and it comes with an outdoor terrace! Their toilet bowl equips with Japan technology! I like the outdoor shower facility where I could able to soak and relax myself without worrying if anyone peep over! What more it quite near to the MRT station about 10 minutes walk!
Cons: It will be good if the hotel could provide more coffee choices like Nespresso, 3 in one coffee.

Cons: Gym facility is limited (only cardio and dumbbells up to 9 kg) but better than nothing
Pros: This was the best and most valuable hotel I ever stayed in Taiwan.
Cons: Nothing particular only that the restaurant should have some higher temperature during the cold and rainy days(January).
Other than that good.
Hope they can keep the same hotel charge per night.
Pros: Superb location - we were there to see a concert at the Taipei Arena and it was only a short 10 mins walk. We enjoyed the spacious bathroom and the wonderfully thoughtful designs all around the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was awesome (gotta love Taiwanese congee and steam buns!) and we recommend the private hot spring on 3F (at extra cost). Thank you for a great stay arTree!
Pros: The bed was very big and comfortable. The room was spacious and the bathroom too Breakfast was good (cold/warm)
Pros: comfortable Queen size bed
Cons: Room was dusty, dust cover the surface of shelves and ceiling lights were covered with layers of dust.

Cons: Overall, i am happy to stay next time. Friendly staff and nice room.
Pros: Overall I like the place. This is my second time staying in this hotel and with my second time, they improve a lot when it comes to the facilities of the room. When it comes to staff they are really approachable and they'll entertain your concerns.
Cons: However, I got a little disappointed with the breakfast because before they have many varieties of food to choose from but now it's only limited and they don't have rice anymore. that's the main reason why I actually choose this hotel for their breakfast buffet.
Pros: Great location. Good service and nice breakfast.
Cons: TV screen quality could be improved.
Pros: Location is very good!
Cons: Value for lodging is low! Room pricing too high
Pros: Very good service in general.
Cons: The restaurant didn’t serve dinner. There’s typhoon on 30 September and I had to go out for dinner that made me worry about the safety. I think the hotel should be a bit more flexible to provide simple food to the hotel guests in such scenario.
Pros: Breakfast very good, sufficient choise, perfect location-advantage:metro station 2nd floor-thanks for free coffee after a busy day
Cons: no comments
Pros: Location. Japanese style toilet. Swish decor and efficient staff.
Cons: Nothing much. The bath could be a standard feature in all rooms. But this is a minor quibble.

Pros: I loved that they offer snacks and coffee in kitchen, also free water and chips in the room. The reception and staff are extraordinary. The location is good, close to central station. The rooms were very smartly equipped, a few very good ideas to make use of the space.
Cons: The room may be bit small for 2 people, but for short term is perfect.
Pros: our rooms. the location walking distance to bus and trains stations.
Pros: Family room is modern and clean. Loved the bathroom and multiple USB charging points.
Pros: Staff (front counter and housekeeping) are friendly and cheerful! Like the hotel decor and upkeep of it too.

Pros: There were seats outside, very nice fot breakfast
Cons: The seats outside were right next to the exhaust which was very noisy. Due to exchange rates, the price we had when booking was much cheaper thsn the final price we had to oay at the place
Pros: the staff were very helpful, friendly, good english. e.g. the doorman got some wd40 and sorted out the handle on my wheelie suitcase that was sticking - that really is going the extra mile
Cons: Tradition Breakfast in Taipei have a choice and you must be choose one of them only but sometime we are a new kid on this town, hard to know it.
Pros: All the staff at the Front Desk and Concierge were so nice, helpful and accommodated our requests. Thank you!
Pros: Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Welcoming and clean. Great breakfast.

Pros: price was good for decent hotel
Cons: There are other hotels that pay more attention to detail in terms of service, cleanliness, etc, but more pricier. This is a good hotel for the price.
Pros: We had access to the Tai Pan Club and the staff was phenomenal. From check in to check out they took care of us and helped make our stay in Taipei wonderful. Definitely recommend getting access to the Tai Pan club, Jenny and her staff are top notch. The location of the property is also great, short walk to the MRT.

Cons: The swimming pool on the roof top is ok,,,
Pros: Good location
Cons: No weighing scale & no magazines in the room

Special thanks to Olivia, Guest Relations Manager, she helped to make a very memorable celebration.
Will definitely consider it if heading back to Taipei again.
Cons: My room was next to the elevators, some weird noise was made all the time, not so loud tho.
The exterior is a bit old, I was a bit deterred due to this reason before booking.
Pros: The room is spacious though some old. Good break fast. Good swimming pool.
Cons: The pool is in 20th floor but the gym and sauna is in B2.
Pros: Very convenient and comfortable. Shall stay again

Pros: We booked a Triple room city view inclusive of breakfast. We were lucky to be upgraded to a family suite with a large room, sitting area, two toilets. It was so spacious and felt at home. We had lovely city view on one side and 101 on the other side. Lovely.
Cons: No complains
Pros: Excellent Food Outlets inside the hotel
covered bridge access to Taipei 101 and other attractions
slight walk to night market but good exercise for the street food
Excellent service and really helpful staff
Pros: Location as well as staff
Pros: Loved my room. Beautiful and comfortable. Gym was great too. Staff were helpful.
Cons: I was a little sad the pool gets no sun. Obviously can’t be helped but perhaps that should be made clearer.
Pros: Access to Taipei101 was nice. The interior of the lobby and upper floorer was beautiful.

Pros: The breakfast spread was amazing. Extremely polite and friendly staff.

Pros: Super efficient and attentive personnel Small gifts @ special occasion Great room view @ Taipei101 Relaxing atmosphere in busy city Yen roast duck: after 9years able to taste a true traditional duck again and they nail it (still my fav all time dish!) Taking into account differences asian vs western culture eg serving appetizer simply first, main course afterwards (not the case at luxury Lalu hotel for example) Heated pool ...
Cons: Minor suggestions: Cocktails Ok but have tasted better in Taiwan (eg COP bar Chiayi) Rooms not great in terms of ground plan: bed not oriented to see Taipei 101 WiFi speed not everywhere as it should (eg pool area) ...
Cons: There is no indoor swimming pool with constant temperature.
Pros: Lovely rooms. Modern, hip atmosphere
Cons: Concierge was an idiot who sent me off to the wrong place for dinner.
Pros: Bed is comfortable, TV with subwoofer sound system is amazing!
Cons: Lift transit takes a bit extra time but it’s not a critical weakness.

Pros: The hotel itself is clean and comfy, with very polite and helpful staff. Location is nice too, there are many good restaurants nearby, and not the mention the big shopping malls nearby! Close to bus stops and metro stations too.
Pros: Cleanliness, location, & very courteous and helpful staff
Cons: Not so near the MRT
Pros: Location, staff and room everything is perfect!
Pros: Convenience and clean
Pros: Very good location. The entire hotel staff is very helpful and polite. Premiere room size is acceptable. Room amenities are very complete. Shower was good with no leakages. Sauna and pool facilities were very clean and well kept.
Cons: Breakfast spread is average and it is more Japanese selection. Duvet was abit too thick, felt very warm when covered up. Would prefer room to provide umbrella. More TV channels selection too.
Cons: Breakfast menu is similar every day
Pros: All the staffs are very nice and will help me to find a taxi everytime when I go out. The room is new and clean.
Cons: There is nothing I don’t like. All are perfect.
Pros: The staff very friendly, breakfast very good
A stay at Roaders Hotel places you in the heart of Taipei, within a 5-minute drive of Red House Theater and Lungshan Temple. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, express check-in, and express check-out. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and a train station pick-up service.
Pros: Bed is not comfortable at all the whole night we can’t ever sleep well for 5night. Location is good & staff are very helpful good job keep it up...
Pros: The free games, snacks and drinks (24/7!) for guests made for an excellent combination. The front desk, looking more like a lounge, gave a welcoming and relaxed vibe. All the basic necessities (toothbrush, comb, etc.) were provided, and they even encourage guests to take home extra. I highly recommend availing of their loyalty program as well, since privileges are quite useful. The location is superb, as it is a few meters away from Ximen Station and Taipei Main Station. Lastly, the staff were eager to address the needs of the guests.
Cons: Coffee was not served late at night
Pros: The lobby activities were great and the kids like it. Kept them entertained and there were complimentary food and drinks. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The spacing of the room is way too small and cramped for my family (2A, 1 three year old and 1 one year old). We can hardly walk and there is no space to even open our luggages. If the room is so small, it shouldn't't be recommended to us as one of the choices when I was booking the room through booking.com. I couldn't upgrade the room to a bigger one at the hotel as it was fully booked.
Pros: I love the fact that the lobby is also the fun area whereby guests can play darts or shoot hoops. The free drinks in the fridge and unlimited snacks and cup noodles is definitely a yes yes for me .
Cons: Hmm the rooms could have been a little bigger as there is not much room for luggages.
Pros: The basement lobby was a great hangout for the family instead of cooping in the hotel room after a day of shopping at Ximending. Ximen MRT was a stone throw away, very convenient.
Pros: It’s at a very convenient location and perfect for a short trip.
Pros: Friendly staff, loved the arcade games in the lobby. We appreciated the free snacks and drinks. Location is awesome and close to transit.
Cons: Rooms are small but to be expected of Asia.
Pros: The staff were super helpful, especially Sophia. She was very friendly and patient to help me with all the questions I had throughout the days we stayed there. Location was excellent, food options and things to sightsee nearby. We also liked the 24hour snacks offered, great for late night small bites.
Cons: The shower in our room was poorly designed. It wasn’t very user friendly, even though it was spacious but towels and clothes end up getting wet. Also, after the first room make-up, a cosmetic item of mine went missing.
A stay at The Landis Taipei places you in the heart of Taipei, just a 5-minute walk from Xingtian Temple and within a 5-minute drive of Taipei Confucius Temple. Pros: All of things good Specifically breakfast was good
Cons: Mini bar
Pros: The staff lived up to its reputation as being both friendly and helpful. Also, we visited the Shangri-La while in Taipei and glad we stayed at the Landis. The other hotels had an industrial feel and totally impersonal. Will be returning.
Cons: The only complaint was that the beds were a bit hard, but not a deal breaker.
Pros: The bed, shower room and service.
Pros: This is a very elegant hotel with a wonderful layout. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and very clean, with spacious bathrooms and a very comfortable bed. The staff were incredible. They all displayed high quality customer service and were extremely helpful, from getting us taxis to helping us find local places to eat as well as suggestions of where to go to see things in Taipei. The breakfast was very well organized and had a mix of western and Chinese food. One of the Manager's Johnny was very kind and respectful and always made sure that we were happy. The whole stay was amazing and would very highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Taipei. For the service and amenities this hotel offered I believe this was an excellent deal in terms of cost. I will definitely return to this hotel in the future.
Pros: excellent service, good but busy location..
Cons: buffet breakfast is not as good as used to be, compare with my last year stay.
Pros: The staff at the Landis were helpful, professional and very courteous. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was excellent.
Cons: Nicotine smell in the room was overwhelming and needs further deep cleaning in the rooms. Outside noise was loud during the night.
Pros: Very clean rooms and facility. Large health fitnes center Room has electronic toilet and Ipad provided. Huge 65inch tv. Housekeeping cleaned room even late afternoon Huge choice of breakfast buffet Super friendly staff with good english command
Cons: All was perfect
Pros: Great quality hotel with fantastic retro atmosphere, friendly staff and very good breakfast
Pros: I always stay at the Landis when I visit Taipei. The service is excellent, the food is good and the staff friendly & competent. The rooms are spacious and clean and the location is great. It is very much like a boutique hotel, if that is what you enjoy.
Cons: The gym equipment is a bit outdated! Only complaint.
Pros: service was excellent, location great
Cons: neighborhood didn't have stores that were of interest to walk to.

Pros: The kids area is awesome. My kids love it and parents can kill lots of time!
Cons: A bit far from the bus station so it's not really convenient for visitors who take public transportation to go.
Cons: Very strange room arrangement. Ocean view - yes, but from the bathroom.
Pros: the bath Tub facing the Ocean, is great, but be very careful while booking, as the room rate, doesn't meet the set up you may think of
Cons: At more then 180 Us the night including buffet diner, you cannot book a table ! at the Lobby bar, while ordering red wine, the bottle arrived super hot ! not warm ! Hot ... the staff said, wine have to be warmed at 50 degree ....
Pros: The location is excellent. It was 3-5mins walk to the Yehliu geopark and sea world. The hotel is obviously target for families with small kids who are 6 and under. It has a big indoor playground that kids love and play for hours.
Cons: The restaurant that served breakfast was a mess. Food selections and quality were awful. A lot of food were running out and didn't get replaced right away when it was just 1 hour into the serving time. The table setting was not enough and not ready to be seated. It was hard to find staff helping out in the restaurant.
Pros: Rooms bright and clean. Good breakfast. Great buffet dinner with reasonable price. Play area was fun for younger children. Staff was helpful.
Pros: The staff is very kind The dinner was excelent
Cons: Breakfast is chieses Rice and rice No vegetables
Pros: Staff were very helpful even with last minute requests
Pros: Room is spacious
Cons: Should have additional blanket with cover without additional charge upon request

Pros: The room and indoor hot spring
Pros: the hot spring... very comfortable room, nice massage service, very good breakfast
Cons: dinner was quite ordinary
Pros: I liked the personal sea salt baths and very large beds.
Cons: The walls were thin. You can easily hear people in the hallways talking. As well as in their rooms.
Pros: In room bath is very good. Water is excellent. Staff is friendly, parking is convenient. Price is soft, so it makes the CP very high.
Pros: Perfect place! Very nice and simple design, huge amazing bed, super clean, really nice outside area, close to old street and just next to public hot springs, but you won't need them having an amazing bath in the room. All just recently renovated and new. The best of it was that both the room and bathroom had a very big windows and were so bright and cozy with the sunshine. Compared to other old weird decorated hotels in the area this one was wayyy better and also cheaper!

Pros: The view in our room..we watch the sunset and sunrise just sitting in the seashore because we have through our room..the crews are nice and approachable..
Pros: 1. The property is almost on the beach. I can hear the waves at the night 2. The breakfast is good. Their Corn Soup is amazing; the best I have ever had. 3. The facility to park your car near the room
Cons: The room toilets are open. No door. Its real yuck. In spite of all the pluses I may not stay here again because of this major drag.
