Great Hostel, Conveniently located in Centre of City. Easy access from both airport & railway station. Good value for money. I have stayed here 3 times & look forward to coming back when I next visit Polska in March 2011.
I had no complaints against the hostel at all. I would recomend it to anyone travelling on a limited budget. All in all its a nice place & I would not consider coming back for a fourth (4) visit if I didnt like it.
warm welcome. a very kind staff. free internet. good prices for students.
I was surprised rooms was mixed ! I did not expect to be in the room with 3 boys !
My arrival was met with cherry smiles. The most attentive was Agatha, followed by the blond Kasia and Frank the early morning clerk was phenominal. He helped us bring down our suit cases four flights of stairs; with no pretense of a tip. He actually walked away and I had to chase him up the floor flights to show him my gratitude. Only in Warsaw!
Kasia the brunette was unfriendly and perturbed when I when to ask for my morning breakfast tickets. Apparently she was the only one who had a stern outlook on all issues. She worked on Sunday.
The location of the hostel is its biggest advantage. You can reach every place in the Warsaw center by 10 minute walk. This is the main purpose for all young travelers to choose OkiDoki. Also the information services provided are very good. Every room is designed in its own style witch is very original. There is also a internet connection however the signal was weak in our room so we had to go and surf from the common places. This Oki Doki is a nice youth (artistic) hostel with its own bar..:-).
Don´expect a three-star accommodation. Rooms are quite clean however they don´t seem that they are cleaned daily. The bathroom was OK but sometimes a bit smelly. We had a double-bed room but with just one big blanket, so the sleep wasn´t too comfortable because of that. However the biggest disadvantage in our Zebra room was the window. Firstly it wasn´t possible to close it properly so there was still a cold air coming to our room. Scondaly our room was situated just above big street dustbins. Luckily it didn´t stink at all, but every day at 7:30 am the dustmen came to collect the garbage with a big freight car. And because the window wasn´t totally closed the noise woke us up every day a bit earlier than we personally wanted.
There was a deposit required for the keys and that was not listed on your web site. It came as a suprise that 40 pln or a passport was required to remain in the hotel.
The location, the staff, the atmosphere, the cleanliness
Locating amid Warszaw, walkable distance to old city and main station. Cozy and friendly. Nicely decorated room. You have a big storage with key inside your room, which can store suitecase. Fairly clean showers and toillets. ドミトリーは清潔で安全。大きなロッカーが部屋内にあるのがうれしい。中央駅、旧市街が徒歩圏内。
Noisy. Because of thin walls, slamming doors of corridor and toillets, you will hear these noise whole night eventually. Unlucky me, some drunkens (or even outsiders?) knocked the door of all rooms for fun at 4am! Some misunderstands "cozy" as "anarchy". But even though, I will return to this place. 廊下のトイレのドアの音が響く。
oki doki hostel is my favourite hostel in the world. beautiful and cozy
