10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a lovely stay ! Thanks to both Julia and David for all that they did to make my trip easy. It was a rainy day and I was in-between flights. I so enjoyed just being in the little efficiency cabin and resting. The warm bathroom floor and towel rack were lovely. And I so enjoyed the hot cup of tea and biscuits in my room. Do I sound pampered? I was! Thanks again.
9.5 Excellent

Pros: The hosts went above and beyond for our one night stay. David ferried us to the local pub in extra consideration of my 7 year old, and my son’s tired legs, and they are also mailing me an item which I left in the room.

Cons: Everything was good
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Although our taxi driver had a few problems to find the correct location of the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to find everything as pictured on the website. All rooms and especially the lounge were very tastefully decorated and radiated calm and peacefulness. We (3 couples) were made to feel very comfortable from the first to the last minute. The bedrooms were well appointed with lots of attention to detail. In spite of the smallness (4 rooms) Margarita made sure that we got a 5-star service including being able to enjoy a night cap late in the evening and an excellent breakfast. Highly recommendable.

Pros: The breakfast was just perfect. A full English breakfast served beautifully.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed. Good shower. Sensational breakfast. Lovely hosts.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were also very accommodating for our baby and cooked up a super breakfast for all 3 of us.
Cons: The only downfall was that the curtains in the room were rather thin which meant that because we are in the British summer, the sun from 5am was so bright that we were all awake much earlier than usual.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My second visit in as many weeks! A very warm welcome from owners Andy and Sue. Room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of towels and toiletries in the shower room. Because I needed to be at Brands Hatch early morning, an excellent breakfast was served early as requested. Sue was able to book a local restaurant for an evening meal for me, with 40% discount too! Thank you.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Owner was extremely helpful, friendly, inn was well run, organized and clean. Rooms were of good size, bathroom as well.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beds were good, location excellent for very early flight, close to airport. This place is one of the better places for the area. We arrived early for a Sunday, the area was quite, we walked to the local shops. Easy to find a pub meal or order take away like we did.
Cons: Be warned, one flight of stairs has 17 stairs, very steep to our rooms. They do have a dumb waiter for your suit cases, you could request a room downstairs if you found it hard on the stairs. The bathroom is extremely small, just like an aeroplane toilet, typical all English showers the pressure is like a trickle, so hard to wash long hair. If the owner recommends an Italian restaurant, down the road it’s very expensive. There are plenty to choose from the local town of Horley, there’s a Tesco Express, not far.
7.5 Good
Pros: The front reception closes at 9.30 but info on how to get in is provided. The doors work on key pads so getting in and out of the rooms is easy. We were upgraded and our room was big. 7 mins from Gatwick airport (perfect). The place had a slightly old English house feel but was clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Tea, coffee, water, biscuits, hairdryer, etc. I’d book it again if I was flying from Gatwick airport.
Cons: Had to pay £3 for parking despite us being guests and it felt a bit dusty (old English house feel).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great welcome given by Clive and Carmel in our last minute panic! . Best night's sleep for ages. Great beds.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff who absolutely go the extra mile!! Accommodated is even after flight delay & changing room to accommodate my husband who missed his onward links too. Happily offered to shuttle us both separately including a v early morning start for me husband !! Thank you so much. Delicious generous breakfast too. It was noteworthy that for once there was sufficient milk to have many drinks in your room which I appreciated.
Cons: Nothing disliked at all. The property is homely rather than modern hotel style as you’d expect with a B&B. A power shower would be a bonus if the owners were looking to make any changes
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The loveliest place! Very convenient to the airport, very comfortable beds, and a delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are so friendly, the room was clean and luxurious. Continental breakfast was included in the price of the room.
Cons: I think reception would be better placed at the front of the hotel by the door. It was odd having the desk right outside our room, with the phone ringing and people talking etc.

Pros: The property is beautiful, and the grounds are well-maintained and very green and grassy.
Cons: The staff was exceptionally nice very accommodating and made you feel right at home.

Pros: Great welcome by Marina, also offered us a free breakfast and use of facilities for our daughter who we were meeting off an early morning flight. We didn’t take up the offer but very much appreciated the gesture.
Cons: Obviously very close to Gatwick, so a little noisy but but certainly not a criticism of the property. My advice take earplugs to ensure a good nights sleep

The Bakery Restaurant With Rooms - Westerham - Building

C$ 187+
Overview Reviews
Located in Westerham, The Bakery Restaurant with Rooms is within a 15-minute drive of Chartwell and Surrey Hills. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really nice and welcoming. Tried as hard as they could to help us with our requests. The room was nice and clean , was glad the rooms are soundproof. The pub was busy and noisy during the evening but we could hardly hear it and slept well. If we were in the area we would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Wish there was aircon in the room. It got really warm inside. The cleaners could spare a bit more time on cleaning the shower heads and sinks. There’s no excuse for all that limescale. Little bit of cillit bang or Viakal would do magic! The carpets could do with a clean too. But these observations and didn’t effect our stay.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The size of the room was lovely and setting in village.
Cons: The carpets on the staircase were terrible and in the room the carpets were stained and grubby. Whilst the room was lovely and big there were several small things that could benefit from attention. Grouting in shower in places needs doing, cobwebs etc. Breakfast was not great
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Nice place, nice location, great food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were excellent and staff very friendly.
Cons: Nothing of note
10.0 Excellent
Pros: an excellent breakfast nothing was missing. As we were visiting somewhere local, the location was great.
Cons: nothing all good,
5.0 Okay
Pros: I thought the manager was lovely and very accommodating and the waiter was pleasant. Although I had to send my meal back because my lamb was slightly undercooked, the manager was more than happy to resolve it straight away. The manager also opened up for breakfast 30 minutes early due to the fact we had to leave around the time breakfast usually starts. The breakfast itself was cooked perfectly and the breakfast room (the bar area) was nice and cool - just what you need on a red hot day like this. The restaurant area of the property is very stylish and the whole place is very clean.
Cons: When I booked my room I was looking for somewhere special to stay. It was our anniversary and we have 4 boys home from university so really wanted to get away for the night. The property had some very good reviews and looked amazing from what I could tell. I was excited and more than happy to pay the non-refundable £139 for the room. When I arrived at the property I was surprised to find, what looked on the outside, more like a pub on a main road. I had to park on a side street and walk through the bar area to check in. When I was shown to my room I was both gob-smacked and upset. The stairwell did not seem very safe due to the fact a handrail seemed to be missing on the side with the drop, there was a mini-fridge outside my room with bottles of orange in and a sticker saying 50p on the front of it. My room was nice, but had blinds only at the windows, the window were all wide open to let some fresh air in and all I could hear were people talking and cars. When I looked outside my window I found a group of people drinking and smoking. I decided to close the windows and the blinds. That's when I discovered there was no air-conditioning. Instead, a noisy and not very effective plug in desk fan was available. When I booked the room I was led to believe the room would have a bath. I was wrong. The shower was fine but I was really hoping for a bath, plus the water temperature was a little temperamental. The noisy fan had to stay plugged in all night and I still woke up soaking in sweat because I was so hot. The blinds also failed to block the light, so as soon as the sun came up, early in the morning, I was awake. All in all, pleasant staff, pleasant restaurant and bar area and delicious breakfast - but I would not stay again and definitely not if I had to pay £139 again
6.3 Good
Pros: Comfy bed
Cons: On their website it clearly states that Tue-Thu there is dinner offers ie £20.50 for 2 courses and £25.50 for 3. Both the waiter and manager said this wasn't right, waiter was rude, made me feel stupid and said we couldn't have this offer and told me to speak to the manager in the morning. Although the manager was polite he also said this offer was not on and in 20 years noone has mentioned it before. It clearly shows this offer on their website so beware !!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very happy to help anyway he could plus the breakfasts were excellent.
Cons: The weather was very hot but this was beyond his control
8.3 Excellent
Pros: helpful staff
Cons: lack of air conditioning
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Bakery was a real discovery, chosen for its proximity to two National Trust properties - Chartwell and Emmetts Garden, though those are interchangeable with others, and The Bakery itself has its own history as a building. The exterior signing is self-descriptive - Bar - Brasseries - Restaurant - and it is all of these: very agreeable ambience. The room itself - the other vital factor - was very comfortable: big bed, en suite with everything working and in place. It was the hottest day of the year (of any year), but the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Menu is very good: not 'pub food', but doesn't need to strain itself to be excellent quality, and sufficient. There is no breakfast menu, but any reasonable request will be met to a high standard (includes basic non-meat options). The bar has its own regular clientele, a friendly atmosphere, and there is a 'real' pub across the way, which seems to exist in harmony.
Cons: A fan in the room was the only item lacking... It was just unfortunate, given the high temperature.

8.8 Excellent
Cons: Very hot night shame we couldn't cool down or open a window...very nice place to stop over before heading to the airport
4.0 Okay
Pros: they kindly allowed me to store my bags between check-out and my late afternoon flight. the bathroom was very clean. lovely house.
Cons: •WIFI: the wifi internet was super slow, and then shut down entirely. unacceptable in a developed country. •DIRTY: there was a old fan in the room that turned on, but didn't blow any air. the wiring around the fan was entirely coated in dust. disgusting. it clearly had not been cleaned in months, which shows a lack of attention to detail. •CHECKOUT: checkout is at 10am. considering people have afternoon flights, would it really kill them to allow guest to checkout at 11am or noon? i never heard of a 10am checkout at such a small guest house. •ODD: the owner quoted a 7 pound taxi to the airport but it was 8. i don't care about the money, but this again shows a lack of attention to detail considering they must send several people to the airport daily. not knowing the price of such a core part of the stay seems strange.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: The flush toilet was not working and we couldn't use it. We ended up using a bucket :( The fan was also broken and it was just the heat wave in the UK
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely large family room, clean and comfortable beds coupled with excellent friendly service. Nothing is too much trouble for Quasim! The ease of check-in and lift to the airport in the early hours of the morning were really appreciated!
Cons: No major issues but the family room was at the very top and was just too many stairs for an elderly member of the family. The bathroom was functional but small for 5 people and could benefit from some minor updating, but overall was worth the stay!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Booked triple room for my American friend & her two daughters. The room was bigger than it looked in the photo and one bed had been changed to a double since the photo, there was certainly enough space for it, it could therefore easy take 2 adults and 2 younger children. I liked the quirkiness of the room layout with one bed in an alcove, the girls loved it too! Spacious bathroom and very clean. Communal areas nicely decorated, very welcoming front entrance hall. Two minutes walk to restaurants in Horley town centre.
Cons: The only thing I can think of is bathroom is looking a bit dated in style but it was certainly sparkling white and clean.
6.8 Good
Pros: The breakfast was chaotic one member in our group didn’t receive hers then given to someone else no choice only eggs offered no proper cooked breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was amazing !
Cons: A bit more help with the luggage
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Easy to get to Gatwick, clean, friendly, obvious pride taken in the running of this hotel.
Cons: The nature of the building had us carrying our bags up many flights. We were able to store a few downstairs (we were 5 people) more storage downstairs, bell service, or easier way of getting bags so room would have been good.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Its hospitality is great, the house manager is really friendly and kind.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. The host was also very thoughtful contacting us in the morning to check when we would arrive. We arrived late and keys were left and again the owners were very accommodating leaving keys for us. Rooms were lovely and it's great for a gatwick airport departure.
Cons: The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, but that maybe just me.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Well-located, close to the city center and to Gatwick airport (5-10 minutes far by car or 1 stop by train). Breakfast included was fair enough. The room was comfortable in general.
Cons: We could hear our neighbours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My daughter and I stayed. Lovely place!

Pros: Very attractive and comfortable hotel. We left our car here for holiday and stayed over when returning to England. Excellent value.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Location staff, room and grounds. Excellent food and bar.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness of room lots of space. Location of hotel to Gatwick airport. Period property.
Cons: The waiter in the morning - got mine and another guests order the wrong way round.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our superior room was lovely, it was clean spacious and a fabulous view! The staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: The menu choice was limited and disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location to stay after a long overseas flight. Its a short taxi ride from Gatwick. The surroundings are beautiful and quiet. I loved walking in the gardens and sitting on the patio. Dinner was excellent too.
Cons: Everything was perfect. No dislikes at all.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: I liked the vintage style. Booked the hotel as travelling from Warwickshire to catch early morning flight to Gatwick. I’m Pregnant and knew I would need to rest before catching my flight.
Cons: Unfortunately the hotel was an inconvenience. I had to leave at 03:30am to get to Gatwick for my flight. I woke up to find that there was no hot water running in the en-suite shower room! I called staff on the phone only to be told it should be on shortly. I waited - but it still didn’t come on. Not only that the sink drain stopper was broken so the water would not drain. The taps were also dirty. To make matters worse, when I went down to reception, no one was there to attend to me. My stay was on 30th July 2019. I was there for under 6 hours and it was Awful. I would like a full refund. I’ve emailed and sent a text to the hotel to complain and have had no response.
7.5 Good
Pros: Bed really comfy and excellent location. Good food.
Cons: The internal room had a sky light which didn't close. This was not a major problem until the morning when we had builders walking across the roof and obviously looking down which I can tell you was an horrific experience. What a shame. I did complain but the staff showed little interest and did nothing to ease the embarresment. I chose to write a letter after and did receive an apology and a small payment. I would stay here again but the staff need to recognise when to say sorry. Language was a barrier and it took me to contact them even though they said they would contact me.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The building and decor is good
Cons: The staff were not accommodating if you are traveling with a child. Seemed reluctant to prepare food for a child and very abrupt. The rooms were filthy with windows and window seals dirty. The bathroom was dirty and there was rubbish from previous occupants. Deliveries came in at 3am at the front of the building and woke us all up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cosy clean old world hotel. Perfect location for a private party. Staff nice and helpful especially at reception.
Cons: Nothing would stay again. One tone thing water in the room would be nice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Charm and room rates
Cons: The entrance inside could be decorated such that it is more cosy.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was great with a lovely bathroom. We had good food in one of the restaurants. Travellng on an early flight from Gatwick, perfect for that.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location.
Cons: We booked a room to sleep 2 adults and a child. We informed the hotel that we’d be arriving late. When we arrived the room was not set up and there was a table and chair where the bed was supposed to be. At 1130 at night this was hardly what was needed. Fortunately the concierge chap hung about and WE BOTH carried the furniture out of the room. The replacement bed turned up half and hour later. Obviously as they had not prepared the room properly there weren’t enough towels either. So concierge staff great. Housekeeping staff awful. Sort it out or lose customers
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to North Terminal. Comfortable room.
Cons: Being invited to pay 60 GBP to check in early after an overnight transatlantic flight when rooms were obviously available. There are too few signs for the hotel in the arrivals area and they are very small. Considering I had stayed in the hotel some years ago I had a hard time locating the entrance adjacent to the North Terminal Shuttle station.

Pros: Perfect for flights in and out of the airport.

Cons: Noisy people in next room till gone 2.30am

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is awesome. Easy to get to from either terminal! Just catch the connecting shuttle if you’re in the North Terminal.
7.5 Good
Cons: The rooms are bit small and will be congested if you have 2 check-in bags.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: All good
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: VERY small room!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Ease of location for early departure to Miami the following morning. Hot drinks always available, is a big plus for me as I am a tea addict!
Cons: The only negative was the poor air quality in the room, however I think this may be due to the hotel being located in a very polluted area. Inside the airport and being at Gatwick which is right beside the M25 so I felt the air quite heavy and unpleasant inside my room. Maybe poor ventilation?
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A unique experience, encourages you to enjoy your trip rather than wallow in your hotel room. Bed was comfortable, the lack of windows kept it nice and dark for a very restful sleep.
Cons: You have to be very economical about luggage placement, but it really didn’t do much to detract from the experience.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location, cleanliness
Cons: So small and tight I wasn't able to open my bag
10.0 Excellent
Pros: perfect hotel room if you have an early morning flight. the room is small but has everything you need. the bed is comfortable, the room is quiet. 9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable, excellent value for money, adequate breakfast, good shower
Cons: No hairdryer in room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the pick up service quick and seamless Excellent value for price
Cons: the pick up and drop off service was a bit expensive for being so close to the airport especially if requiring to and from.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean comfortable room, well run family business, delicious breakfast and friendly staff. Offered a pick up from Gatwick airport at a reasonable rate. Very reasonable for the price I paid.
Cons: Sound was an issue comings and goings of other guests, doors closing. I wore ear plugs and was not an issue.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Close to the airport. Great transportation options close by. Anju was incredibly nice and catered to us and made ya feel very welcome!!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was great, and the inn itself had a very nice, appealing style to it. The location was excellent, about a ten minute walk to the train station, which could easily connect you to LGW if you couldn’t book the shuttle provided by the hotel. The check in process was excellent, we arrived into Gatwick very late that night, and the hotel left our room key and information in an envelope on the porch, as their reception closed at 10pm. We liked how accommodating this was, and how easy they made it to check in.
Cons: The continental breakfast was a little lacking, we didn’t have time in the morning to order the full English breakfast. As well, there was a small miscommunication regarding booking the airport shuttle as we were misinformed it was required to book a day in advance.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The old house was ok. The room was what we would call the third floor not second so carrying luggage upstairs was a bit of struggle. Overall it was adequate Breakfast was good but have had more variety in cold breakfast food elsewhere
Cons: The room was very small and no air conditioning. Thankfully not a really hot night but certainly warm in room Would have liked a common room to sit and mingle
6.3 Good
Cons: Room above very noisy late into the night. Banging around and walking on a hard floor. A dog barked continuously outside Price for “early payment” on website not applied at hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The closeness to the airport.
Cons: It felt more like a hotel than a bed and breakfast
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was hot, fast, and quite adequate. The inn next door has a pub/lounge where we ate supper the day of our stay, so that was convenient.
Cons: The bathroom was adequate, at best. Water pressure in the shower was awful and the sink taps don't work properly. Check in was okay, but the lady behind the counter was a bit indifferent. Most check-in staff take a bit of interest in where you're from, and so on. Not so much at this B&B, but that could have been due to any number of factors. The airport shuttle was convenient, but more expensive than other places offered. We were on the top floor (of 3) and had to lug our bags up the narrow, steep stairs.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good easy to find good crew
Cons: N/A
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Room is a good size and the staff a really friendly and helpful.
Cons: Room was a little warm but they had put a fan in the room
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very excellent - pleasant and helpful. Ignore the breakfast menu and ask for a bacon sandwich - they're the best! I was impressed by how quickly and efficiently my requests were dealt with - e.g. a new light bulb. The interior is both airy and cosy and there are nice little touches such as board games and newspapers. The pub has a large rear garden and it was a real pleasure to sit out and enjoy the last rays of the sun in the evening.
Cons: The pub has a dinner menu - specialising in steak which I didn't have. Pizzas are thin and crisp with well flavoured toppings but served without salad. My burger was as described but pretty average with slightly gristly meat.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff ,nice location
Cons: Triple cooked chips weren't cooked properly but this was soon rectified
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very good one night stay. A comfortable room in a lovely pub/hotel. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and obviously a strong point of the venue.
Cons: Access requires a car/hire car as quite out of the way in village location
6.3 Good
Pros: Location convenient and food good
Cons: Room felt dated and in need of refurbishment, bathroom had grubby trims and rotting bath panel, it was also noisy despite requesting when booking not to close to the road and too hot so a good nights sleep was not possible! Breakfast was chaotic and not ready for guests due to staff shortages!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Food in restaurant was excellent
Cons: Room too hot and window opened on to car park. Room quite dark.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was clean and cozy. The food in the pub was excellent. Great beer and pizza, and steak!!! The delicious breakfast was included with the room. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are inspired to come back again and explore more of England. This was a layover from Spain heading back to Canada. One night at The Curious Pig In The Parlour has given us some very fond memories. We tell our friends of our stay there. We know some day we will return.
Cons: I have no dislkes to report. We loved it!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice pub and excellent food. Very nice room but it was quite pricey.
Cons: No air con in room which was baking hot although there was a fan which we left on all night.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were great - food excellent. This is more of a traditional hotel than any of the above n

6.8 Good
Pros: Really beautiful and historic hotel, totally unexpected as so close to Gatwick airport. The room and gardens were wonderful
Cons: Our only complaint is that there were not enough staff at all for breakfast. It took over 30min to order, and by then most of the items were gone (no juice, no fruit for the muesli, scraps only!) despite an expensive breakfast meal. It really was disappointing as the hotel is apparently known for the restaurant! We saw other guests leave and give up on having breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful historic hotel! I felt like we had gone back in time to Hobbits. Clean and modern rooms, quite and comfortable
Cons: Breakfast staff were woefully inadequate. Not enough people + dissatisfied guests = disappointing experience! (Not to mention expensive breakfast options). So if you don't need breakfast, its the perfect hotel or business stop-over.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Relaxing ambience for breakfast and enjoying the gardens. Room fittings needed some attention. Good menus
Cons: Fresh towels on day two as still damp. A bar would have been more useful than having to wait for a waiter to find us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Truly one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff is extremely kind and professional, and my room was magniificently decorated. The bathtub was even big enough for me, and at 6'3 that's rare to find. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet, and the hotel grounds are gorgeous and well kept. I hope to have a chance to stay again someday for more than a one night visit.
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful building and lovely comfy clean rooms with everything
Cons: The restaurant menu and pricing and service is quite surreal. Totally out of keeping with the place. Really poor.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel luxury
Cons: Food very expensive
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant is very high quality. They have a nice, well-maintained garden with lots of flowers. Very relaxing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about the place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, close to Gatwick
5.8 Okay

Pros: Great massages, hydrotherapy pool.
Cons: Lots of people
6.3 Good
Pros: The appearance of the house and the gardens are really great.
Cons: Although the menu said, that the restaurant don´t want "sportive cloth" or shorts, we were told, that jeans are not welcome...strange this days for a German. We didn´t try there although we had a reservation, instead we took a snack in the bar... The new parts of the hotel seem to be really nice and comfortable, the old rooms are really small and the domestic environment tends to be poor... The spa was not included in our room rate. 20 GBP per person is a really high extra rate, if you have only little spare time...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything
Cons: There was nothing not to like
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room and great spa facilities
Cons: There was a power cut, which meant that plumbing, air conditioning and lights didn't work for a few hours. In the spa, only 1 hair dried worked (after the power had come back on). Also, heated towel rail and coffee machine didn't work and a newspaper wasn't delivered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was super comfy. The room super clean. The staff really helpful. The food was delicious. Spa facilities excellent
Cons: I think the access to the spa should be complimentary for the guests not extra
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 1. Location. It is not far from Wakehurst, Views of nature, landscapes, amazing neighbourhood with rabbits - it’s all add up in joy and pleasant experience for nature lovers. 2. Facilities - spa and outdoor hot tub and saunas are great.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice old building with great outdoor bar and good spa facilities.
Cons: The spa was good but the massage lacked : young massage therapist mentionning she was not sure about her career and actually couldn’t deliver a very good massage unfortunately. The spa facilities were good though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a fantastic hotel with outstanding quality facilities, room we stayed was gorgeous, with highest level comfort and loads of space, including bathroom which had a beautiful free standing bath, his and hers sinks as well as large shower. Hotel has a choice of restaurants for drinks and food, and all of them is to a very high standard with spot on service. It also has spa facilities that run indoors and outdoors with choice of jacuzzis, saunas, private hot tubs, massage pool and beautfily designed swimming pool. All hotel is ultra clean and staff is extremely welcoming and helpful, but without being too much. Hotel is surrounded by immaculately kept outdoor space with multiple seating areas and entertainment options (croquet, chess, tennis) and extensive grounds where wild bunny rabbits hopping around reminds you that you're in countryside.
Cons: We stayed in garden suite and the only downside was that patio area is connected with the other suites, it has some screening and privacy but you could walk through all of the garden area. It isn't necessarily a bad thing but to have completely secluded area with full privacy would be a cherry on the top of otherwise incredibly amazing hotel suite..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was an emergency booking due to cancelled flight out of Gatwick due to ATC issue not airline fault. So lots of flights disrupted. This was a brilliant find just wish we could have stayed longer. Wonderful staff - friendly helpful and understanding of the situation. Definitely will make plan for a proper visit in near future.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing, from the first minute in to the last one out. Food is excellent, the place is spotless everything is so clean. Will definitely book another week end.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. Staff was amazingly helpful. Great spa
