9.0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were so friendly and helpful no jobsworth people all helped out no matter what. At this time it could have been easy for them to give up but they were all so great.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else. Location and building are lovely.
Cons: Hotel looks good outside but.... Needs painting and windows need attention. Room very good but.... Decoration a little tired. Cooked breakfast excellent but... Pastries not refilled. Marmalade not refilled. Orange juice was very low. Cutlery and a plate missing from table. Dinner good.... but not as good as in the past when we have visited. Think table cloths have disappeared. Your bear was away being repaired..... A few too many buts on this occasion. Niggles... but it isn't cheap so the game needs to be watched. Attention to detail is essential at this level. Charging for parking is to be honest a little tight bearing in mind accessibility to Woodstock by public transport is somewhat challenging. Two years since last visit but didn't recognise a single member of staff from then....? Staff turnover
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location for visiting Blenheim Palace. We booked for dinner, bed & breakfast. Food and service were both good and we had an enjoyable stay. Managed to park outside the hotel for free.
Cons: Breakfast could have been a bit better
5.4 Okay
Pros: Gorgeous location! Very good food.
Cons: Not enough staff working resulting in huge delays on food orders. The staff that were there were very nice but stretched between the bar and restaurant. Everything took ages.... Also felt the hotel was a little dowdy and in need of a refurb...

Cons: No hot water in gents toilet main building.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Alina greeted and looked after us superbly. The room was quiet and beautiful, the ensuite was very spacious, breakfast was lovely.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location, plenty of old charm and close (5 min walking) from Blenheim Palace. Very helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating staff (including with leaving our luggage there prior to official check-in time), and very nice and diverse warm breakfast.
Cons: The place is really old, and it shows - from wallpaper that peels off, to water infiltrating the walls and ceiling, to worn-out carpets and beds and floors that are not straight, but at an angle or have bumps and valleys. We experienced a torrential rain the night we were there, and by the time we came back from dinner, there were buckets and pots in the lobby and on the stairs, all the way to the top floor, with water pouring down through the roof. We were very worried that we might find our luggage soaked, but thankfully, the room was safe. It's clear the place is in need of major repairs and upgrades, and while I'm sure that would be a considerable investment, I think it is, at this point, necessary.
9.2 Excellent

7.1 Good
Pros: Comfortable, friendly.
Cons: The value for money was the only issue. Although the price was average for bed and breakfast, and what we will often pay, compared to other properties in the area - that were offering more for the same price or lower, it was not such good value.
7.0 Good
Pros: Yvonne was really welcoming, The breakfast was excellent. It was quiet and peaceful. Ideal for visiting Blenheim.
Cons: The heating was off when we got back in the evening so had to wash in cold water and were very cold at night. It didn't come on in the morning so we told them and they fixed it quickly and gave us a voucher for a reduction on a future stay.

6.0 Good
Pros: Good breakfast.
Cons: Not enough sockets in the room ( not even close the bed to charge phones). Not enough pressure of water in the shower ( Very little water coming actually). We found a giant spider in the toilet as soon as we arrived. The food menu of the bar and the brasserie were the same, despite the fact there were two different menus in the website ( this may be due to the fact that hey might have reduced the menu due to the coronavirus issue, although they could have notified us).
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast and dinner. Swimming Pool. Bedroom size, Bed. Shower.
Cons: Bar area no atmosphere. Missing a good outdoor space for evenings.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly. The ambiance was welcoming.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good food served piping hot. Almost instant hot water from the bathroom taps.
Cons: The room above mine had a floor that creaked every time the occupant put his foot down. This happened at 2040, 2300, 0035, 0245 and 0515. The shower was a hand held one that I found awkward to use and that sprayed water over the bathroom floor despite my best efforts.
8.3 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely old building and a comfortable room
Cons: It was a disappointed that the Spa was fully booked, and that if it had been free it was £25 per person to have a sauna and plunge! The bar also lacked atmosphere and coziness
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Good choice of tea and coffee on room.
6.7 Good
Pros: The lovely village location and splendid grounds, the roaring fires and tasteful country house feel.
Cons: The restaurant was a little disorganised. Four people took our orders and served us and the co-ordination was lacking and the service was therefore slow. Why not allocate given tables to specific waiting staff?
5.3 Okay
Pros: The hotel grounds and local area
Cons: The fact they have a two tier system where guests staying at the Old Swan get dining reservation preferences and their own roped off lounge area that the Minster guests cannot use
4.3 Okay
Pros: Character hotel.
Cons: Standard room very small, we stayed in the barn conversion annexe, room was very small with single glazed window which was very noisy. It felt as if we were staying in a beach hut. There was a noise in the pipes which kept us awake most of the night. Also we had to travel to a nearby pub as the restaurant(which is another pub a minute) away was full, priority to guests with bb and e meal.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The first room was extremely hot, we spoke to reception who offered us another room without hesitation. The restaurant is excellent both for breakfast & dinner. After eating there the first night we definitely wanted to on our second night but forgot to book. So after a day out and about came back to hear it was fully booked being Saturday. However the staff were brilliant and said they would manage to squeeze us in and we weren't disappointed, the steak was perfect along with everything else! Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely grounds and setting. Will definitely go back.
4.0 Okay
Pros: I liked the helpful staff in the restaurant who worked extremely hard on the sturday evening of our stay.
Cons: I stayed in room 121 which was awful and i have complained personally to Diane Cornish the sales manager and i have yet to have the courtesy of a reply to my comments.
3.2 Mediocre
Pros: Setting and location excellent. Public rooms nice
Cons: Scandinavian type rooms (118) were very very small. Little wardrobe and storage space. Walls were paper thin. We could hear neighbours even when they were whispering and using bathroom! Flight path from nearby RAF base. No double galzing. It was clear the accommodation was geared to single people on conferences/workshops. Massive disappointmant!
7.2 Good
Pros: Lovely setting, staff very friendly. Lovely meal.
Cons: There were no biscuits on the hospitality tray.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location Staff and service
Cons:
7.2 Good
Pros: The reception and cleaning staff were extremely friendly and welcoming The setting is delightful and the food in the restaurant was very good.
Cons: Our bath room was very cold - no apparent heating and interesting though the high ceilings are, there was a draught. This did not spoil our stay but if the weather had been colder it might have done.

Cons: Whole hotel stank of chip fat to the point within an hour of being there we made an excuse that we had a family emergency just to leave as I where a suit for work and there no way I could be in there. 5.4 Okay
Pros: Nice clean room, good tv. Ample parking. Near main road.
Cons: The way the manager talked to me when I told him I did not like the food. I ordered a hotpot (regular price £12.95). What I got was a tiny bowl of stew with sliced boiled potato on top. On the plate were unappetizing green beans and carrots (boiled from frozen?). When I said that this was not hot pot as the potatoes need to be thinly sliced and cooked with the meat I was told that "this is how we do it". I showed him many photos of hot pots on google but he was having none of it and argued and was nasty. I returned it to the kitchen but he told the lady at the till 'she's paying for it!'. The other lady behind the bar was angry with me too as the 'chef' was her son. Very unprofessional, nasty, aggressive and an altogether horrible experience. I was tempted to call the Police because of the way I was treated (single woman alone). Please note: there was no swearing however I have never had such a bad experience in hospitality.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was spacious, quiet, comfortable and had everything needed, although the TV remote for Sky played up a bit. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: Food for evening meal was average, breakfast was nicer.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were lovely and so helpful even though it was quiet - sometimes the setting excels the staff but not on this occasion
Cons: Just quiet, convenient and a pleasant stay tucked away - awesome chips too
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very polite, breakfast was good.
Cons: Would be great to have hairdryer in the room, maybe I just was not able to find it.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good TV in the room with all Sky channels.
Cons: Not many staff around this morning; had to either wait for someone to turn up in restaurant or at reception, or shout for someone in the kitchen area. There was a very bright car park light located right outside our bedroom window, which was switched on all night.

Pros: Breakfast - Shower
Cons: THERE IS NO PARKING AT HOTEL HAD TO DRIVE AROUND FOR AN HOUR TRYING TO FIND OVER NIGHT PARKING - LONG WALK BACK TO HOTEL IN THE RAIN AND AGAIN IN THE MORNING WHICH MADE JOURNEY HOME UNPLEASANT. THE ROOM WAS WAY TOO HOT - EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO HEATING ON!
1.0 Poor
Pros: Conveniently placed
Cons: No parking Wife got food poisoning from the breakfast
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very nice but the toilets smell dreadful! And you have to pass the disabled wc and the Gents to get to the rooms. Very off putting and a shame!!
Cons: Car parking not great as never been to Witney before!
7.1 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good and the rooms were tastefully decorated. Friendly staff.
Cons: Lack of parking is a major issue as the town has no 24 hour parking unless it’s on a residential road. So so noisy until late outside the room and the air con is a bit iffy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and well maintained. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: The only thing and we were not the only ones staying there who had the same fault was half the time the door cards didn’t work, so you would have to come back down to get the key scanned. Only minor fault.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendly and efficient. Only problem that I had as a lone traveller not wanting to go into the town at night on my own, the hotel could not find me a space to dine unless it was 5pm or after 10 pm, too early or too late. It is a pity that residents are not given automatic opportunity to have a table at a reasonable time
Cons: As above

7.1 Good
Pros: Comfortable, friendly.

Pros: The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice touches such as tea, coffee and biscuits. The bed was comfortable, it was quiet at night and the location was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, posting the glasses that I left in my room back to me. Thank you for posting them and for the care you took! The breakfast in the morning was very nice. Wonderful value for money and the fact that the staff are so lovely means we will return for a third stay at some point in the future.
