Pros: amazing place, historical building, very well managed, management personally involved in the operations of hotel, very friendly staff, 24/7 shuttle service to village
Cons: pricey for relatively small room
Pros: The very early breakfast for the Engadin Radmarathon!
Pros: Great breakfast buffet. Amazing Hamman space area. Room with a lot of light. Very nice activities for kids.
Cons: No swimming pool. A bit on the pricey side but the region is not the cheapest either.
Pros: Outstanding hotel and place, very special, almost an art gallery to live in!
Pros: The Hammam was so relaxing. The staff was superb.
Cons: Some guests were not able to respect others smoking lots of cigars until late night without regard for the pollution they created inside the hotel. Another guest decided not to pick up his dog’s poop leaving it for skiers to experience up close and personal.
Pros: We loved every minute at Hotel Castell! Without doubt one of the favorite hotels we stayed! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and management. The staff was extremely friendly & flexible. We truly enjoyed skating on the ice path just minutes away from the hotel. The scenery was beautiful and it was such a quiet and peaceful environment. After a wonderful but cold morning, the Hamam was exactly what we needed! The breakfast the next day was exceptional! The atmosphere at the Hotel is truly special. All respect for the manager couple which does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!
Pros: Vey helpful and well organised - I stayed there to complete the Engadin Ski Marathon and they were very well set up for this.
Pros: It was in a lovely location, with great amenities and excellent service!

Pros: Clean , good breakfast n nice shower
Cons: Nice hotel
Pros: Value for money and restaurant. In reach of all activities and places. Beautiful hotel, very clean. Pet friendly gives it a very special touch.
Pros: Swiss Staff, Swiss Products, Swiss Quality
Cons: Staff did a excellent job, but the receptionist could and should have gone the extra mile too
Pros: Very cosy place, nice concept in my perception, and very charming and welcoming staff.
Cons: To access the main cross country slope, you have to walk quite a bit.
Pros: Very friendly staff and the Rooms are very comfy and clean.
Pros: Greeting. Service. Building.
Cons: Price of breakfast a bit steep
Pros: Beautiful wood room well decorated and equiped! Very nice staff and good breakfast with a lot of choices! Very nice lobby!
Pros: Everything is great :)
Pros: My hosts and their staff were excellent A great base for a cycling holiday
Pros: Very friendly and helpful front desk and restaurant staff. Being from Canada there was No language barrier as they all spoke English very well. They were so accommodating, the next day I did the XC ski race and they allowed me to come back after the race and use the spa area to shower and change although we were not staying there that night. The beds and bedding very comfy and as advertiser an exceptional quiet room for a great sleep.
Cons: The rooms were a bit small and a limited real sitting area. The price of the Hotel and meals were expensive compared to North American standards.
With a stay at Chesa Stuva Colani in Madulain, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Lake St. Moritz and Engadin. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely interior design at the hall.
Cons: On the pics the booked room was teice bigger than in real.
Pros: Very nice hotel, friendly staff, nice breakfast, nice drinks. The moment you arrive here you calm down and relax. Perfect. The spa is really cute.
Cons: I have to admit, the room seemed bigger on the pictures on booking, but in the end we were happy with what we got. The bathroom was really big.
Pros: beautifully designed interior as you can see in the pictures, everywhere this was true, restaurant, lounge, rooms, bathroom. the lady working behind the bar was super nice too, she helped make us feel welcome as compared to the other guy that made us feel a bit the opposite (see below).
Cons: Felt Unwelcome We were made to feel unwelcome when we tried to relax on the sofa when we first arrived, the manager signaled to me I was doing something wrong. Was I too comfortable? Was my backpack not pretty enough? I'm not sure. There were no other guests coming by, just a few in another room that couldn't even see us. Then later we were also made to feel unwelcome again by the same manager when we got back from our ski tour and needed to repack our bags before catching the train, we were told it "didn't look nice", there were no other guests around at all. I guess if you're into mountain sports it's probably not the right place to stay. if you like dressing up and sitting with good posture as a hobby then maybe it's your place. Wellness Needs Works also, the wellness was disappointing. the wood in the sauna doesn't absorb moisture enough so it turns into more of a steam room than a proper sauna, at least compared to other saunas in the area like the hotel steinbock or bellavita in pontresina. the actual steam room smelled unpleasant. the water in the hot tub was a little murky. Restaurant Overpriced The restaurant was very overpriced for the quality of food. It wasn't bad food but it wasn't all that special either, and the portions were a bit small. We spent 180 CHF for 2 of us and I was still a bit hungry afterwards. Again, probably great if you like dressing up and not doing mountain sports but not great if you're actually burning calories during the day.
Pros: Everything was so wonderful! Modern design, cozy wooden bedroom, amazing spa, free mountain bikes available for guests, nice and helpful staff.
Pros: great location, cool design, spacious rooms
Pros: bathroom size is great
Cons: room size is a bit small
Pros: Food in the restaurant (which doesn't belong to the hotel) is very good. Bill therefore couldn't be put on the room tab. Breakfast is also very nice. Room and bathroom were pretty and cozy.
Cons: Room amenities are a bit average, no mini bar/safe.
Pros: The hotel owner and staff were very friendly and attentive. The public areas and the room had an extremely new modern and stylish decoration which is outstanding to this region. Breakfast was excellent and the spa looked fabulous. We hope to return to this hotel in our next visit to st. Moritz. There is no doubt that the value for money in this hotel is excellent.
Pros: Very stylish hotel, staff very Friendly the owner and his wife speak good English and lent me a Swiss plug adapter for the night as i only had a European Plug. Location is great but that applies for pretty much the whole of Switzerland because its a beautiful country, i used the underground car park which was very secure for my bike and cost 10 Francs for the night not too bad for piece of mind, Memory foam bed and Pillows were VERY comfortable and shower was excellent.
Cons: Quite expensive, however Switzerland is a very expensive country.
Located in Bever, Spinas Gasthaus Val Bever is in the mountains, within a 15-minute drive of Engadin and Mineralbad Baths and Spa. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage.
Pros: Beautiful nature, but only that...
Cons: The room that I booked on the pictures was lovely double room with nice double bed and normal size window, instead was given to me small sloped single room on top floor with narrow sky window. Very, very claustrophobic and dark. This room is with 2 tiny single beds got given a dorm on the last floor and it felt like I was in an attic. Beds are super uncomfortable. It would be nice to have chairs in the room, but there is not space. The owner Ak was a bit rude and unfriendly throughout the stay. When I asked when it’s not booked room, he answer is: “It does not matter what you seen on the website, you will be given what they have available on arriving”. Gasthause Spinas is old building, cheap refurbished. Sharing one bathroom between 6 rooms with 2-4 person each was a bit of a pain at times, but i could understand. I left it earlier when I’ve planned. I didn’t feel comfortable to stay there. The staff is not very helpful as well for me, cause it is hard to find English speaking someone when you need. I wouldn't expect any luxury, but it just feels very cheap. It's not a good value for money. Don't come here if you expect great holiday. But it is quite exciting for adventures perhaps.
Pros: The price and picturesque setting
Cons: That the last train from St Moritz left at 8:02pm
Pros: extremely welcoming Swiss hospitality :) everything just perfect :)
Pros: The isolation and amazing autumn colours
Pros: The location is beautiful with gorgeous landscapes and hiking trails starting right in front of the door. The hiker's paradise I guess. Park the car in Bever and either walk there (3.8km, 50min) or take the train.
Cons: When booking the place we did not realize that it is not accessible by car. This information is a bit hidden in a collapsed section of the description, at least on the mobile booking.com app. Would be great to indicate this a bit clearer, since the map actually shows a road, but which is banned for regular traffic.

Pros: Everything. Charming family run business with personal attention to detail. Food excellent. Breakfast mind boggling.
Cons: Everything was special so there was nothing to criticize.
Pros: very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, historical building in historical centre of Zuoz, amazing value for money for the room with shared facilities!
Pros: Authentic architecture and beautiful traditional Swiss wooden furniture !
Cons: Only shower
Pros: Felt like being in good hands. Friendly atmosphere and helpful, building beautiful atmosphere, not pretentious at all
Pros: The Engadiner House where its placed is really beautiful and authentic. Perfect location un the middle of a beautiful village. Staff helps un everything you need. Breakfast
Cons: Maybe the house and facilities are a bit old but is part of the charm of being there. Unfortunately the restaurant had a test day when I was there. Such a pity because the menu looked really interesting.
Pros: The hotel is a nice historical building in the main city square, staff is nice and breakfast is also nice
Cons: The room, probably due to the moquette, the curtains and the fabric of the lamps, had a bit of dust smell. Even if there is a sink inside the room, it would be nice to have one also in the shared bathroom to wash hands at least after having used the toilette
Pros: Well, actually everything. The hotel itself is an old building, renovated - it has a lot of character." The room was very clean and spacious, bbreakfast was just fine, host was friendly and efficient. So it was a very good experience. The town itself is pretty, with cobbled streets reminiscent of another era. Am glad I chose to stay here instead of St, Moritz itself (it is a few minutes away by train). The train station itself is just 5 min walk from the hotel.
Cons: Nothing to mention. The hotel is at a slight elevation, so if you're walking from the station, it is a bit uphill. But compared to all the good stuff, I didn't have an issue with this at all. :-)
Pros: great location in a typical village amazing breakfast
Pros: Klarer is an authentic Swiss hotel. The hospitality is amazing with the owner and the staff always ready to help, extremely genuinely. The restaurant is incredible, with some of the best Pizzoccheri and a great bakery, as well as easily accessible from the bedrooms' section. My room was perfectly clean, very spacious, and most importantly with a great view, which you do not get from any of the other hotels in Zuoz (some of which are more expensive and quite "fake").
Pros: Great breakfast
Cons: Not the most comfortable bed, but everything else was so good it was worth it!!
When you a stay at Gästehaus Convict Zuoz in Zuoz, you'll be near ski lifts, within a 5-minute walk of Engadin and San Luzi Church. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The room was clean, beds comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, nice view from the balcony
Cons: Located near the train station and you can hear the train if the door or window is opened during the night, also nearby is the church’s tower ringing the bell every hour during the day or night, so we slept by hour
Pros: It was very nice . Also I had a very good view of the mountain and snow.
Cons: There was not much that I didn’t like but there could be more staff or staff and night except for that everything was great .
Pros: Good staff. Clean room and good location
Cons: Cost seems high compare to common bath room kind of facility
Pros: Everything was just perfect
Pros: Helpful staff and let us put our bikes in the garage.
Pros: Great value, clean and friendly staff!
Pros: Great value for money - clean, friendly staff and good locations
Cons: Thin mattress
Pros: Great location, very clean and calm accomodation, friendly and helpful receptionnist
Pros: It’s a quiet place. The room is tidy. You have to share the bathroom and toilet with others. But all the equipments are in nice condition.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful old restored villa, preferred to the chain style like hotels these days.
Cons: A bit more decoration in such a beautiful place.
Pros: The hotel is truly beautiful. Wood panelling and well decorated. The village of Bever is stunning and idyllic.
Cons: On the evening we arrived we were not informed of where we could eat or if we could use the restaurant. We were only offered room service. The room was filthy. I politely pointed this out to the receptionist and asked if it could be cleaned while we were out the next day. The room was cleaned, but not to a satisfactory standard - we found long human hairs in the bed linen (my partner is bald and I have short hair), but it was better than the dog hairs we found in the room the night before. The floorboards in the room above ours creaked so loudly when the occupants moved about that it sounded as if someone was walking in to our room. The breakfast in the morning was a very drab affair. We felt very uncomfortable in the breakfast room and we left that morning hungry. There was also no English Breakfast tea, only Earl Grey and fruit teas. The staff were cold and distant and the manager made it very obvious that she felt my complaints about the state of the room were unfounded. It was very disappointing. When we checked out we did receive a deduction in our bill, but for the cost of the room per night, the stay was not a happy one for us.
Pros: Beautiful old hotel in a very magic village. Food is also very good, and the garden simply amazing.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a computer station, and express check-in. Event facilities at this hotel consist of a conference center and a meeting room. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge during limited hours, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Check in was very efficient and the hotel is confortable and quiet.
Cons: The TV had a very small number of channels in English. The heating system was not working during the night that was relatively cold. The restaurant was still closed as this is the low season period.
Pros: Fantastic location, great staff, amazing restaurant!!
Cons: The safe was not functioning perfectly
Pros: We arrived earlier than the check-in time, but the management went ahead and prepared the room for us to use! And also we had the complimentary coffee. Found my tooth brush charger which I had left there before. Thanks!
Cons: I was disappointed to learn that the Hotel did not operate a shuttle service on Sunday!
Pros: in centre, parking facilities, elevator
Cons: internet didn’t work, weren’t sure, whether room has been paid for already or not, entrance rather dark & with smell of old cigarette smoke, restaurant due to low season shared with another hotel in town ...
Pros: I thought that the staff was knowledgeable, helpful and very accomodating. The rooms were very well furnished and I had a breathtaking view of the Alps from my window. The food in the dining room was tremendous and they had about four different choices of deer to choose from because it was deer season in the valley. The hiking was tremendous and Zuoz is in a perfect place to see the Engiadina.
Pros: Good location, beautiful property, comfortable room.
Cons: WiFi in rooms did not work, and hotel staff offered no compensation or appreciation for inconvenience. Final bill at check out took 3 attempts to get right.
Pros: very nice room with balcony
Cons: wellness is quite small
Pros: The location was fine, although a good long climb from the station, if you are walking.

Business, Other Amenities
Featured amenities include wired Internet access (surcharge) and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: beautiful typical all wood engadiner style interior in the middle of the village that most perfectly exemplifies the unique regional architecture.
Cons: Although this was at least the 8th time that I have stayed there, they gave us a smaller room on the top floor (no elevator) even though they had a larger room on the floor below available identical to the one we were given last year. There also was a steep step down into the bathroom which was so close to the toilet you could barely squeeze in. Nonetheless, I like this place and hope to stay there again.
Pros: Superb central location in the historic square and a very old hotel. Being a Swiss railway fan, I noticed this hotel on one of my RHB videos and booked it from that. It is within easy walking distance of the station. I've notice some comments about church bells (!) well if you don't like church bells...avoid Switzerland, and avoid at Christmas!! Yes, they started early, but music to one's ears! The staff, particularly Ricardo and Jacqui were very helpful. Ricardo told us he had been to Brighton (UK) to learn English, and we live just 12km north of Brighton! The building is old, so no lift, but if you like old buildings you'll like this one. Unfortunately, I had gout in my knee, and struggled with the stairs...but I got there each time, so no problem! I like the stuva restaurant upstairs and the downstairs Cruschetta bar/restaurant. Excellent breakfast room and breakfast. We had room 9 and found it slightly disappointing compared with photos of other rooms which appeared to have more period furniture than ours, also, room 9 has a step down into the bathroom which with gout/arthritis I found troublesome, however, this aspect wasn't that bad. Food was good in the evenings, pricey because of the rate of exchange. It was -14C one night (outside) though I had the bedroom window open...for air and to hear the bells! We rented a space in the garage adjacent to the Engiadina Hotel which was 15CHF daily, but very good, as one day, the car wouldn't start due to the cold, so we opted for 2 days of garaging. Even though it was mentioned in the menu, I think that charging 3CHF for tap water at the dining table is unnecessary for residents as it is clearly included with the room charge! That apart, the hotel is very good and an important historic building, so well worth staying within. My recommendation...
Pros: Very accommodating regarding the dog. Good location, clean and comfortable.
Cons: The menu lacks vegetarian options. Other than salad, only one main was vegetarian. My main was a little salty. Also, I booked as a woman and stood in front of reception as a woman but they had me down as a man as my first name is not well known in Switzerland. A small thing but I think they should pay more attention when taking the booking.
Pros: The restaurant/ dinner was cosy and delicious.
Cons: Breakfast was perhaps the only 'downer'. Unfortunate that we had to eat at the Engiadina on the day of the Marathon - it would have been nice to be able to eat in Crusch Alva, also to save time as it was an early start!
Pros: Beautiful old place..typical Swiss in charming village
Cons: No lift
Pros: The waiter was great. He knew a lot about the swiss mountain valley. The croissants were warm and directly from the oven in the hotel. Absolutely delicious.
