The Future Laboratory used the following methodology in order to explore and define the future of travel. Social and cultural macro research was synthesized with validation from KAYAK stakeholders, external experts and quantitative research. The outcome is an in-depth exploration of how the future of travel could take shape by 2030.
At the heart of The Future Laboratory is a proprietary foresight methodology. Our trends are rooted in an understanding of fundamental human needs and global drivers. The Future Laboratory employs a mix-methodology approach to gather cultural and consumer insights to inform the trend hypotheses. This includes our in-house Foresight Research System – a live, internal central database updated daily by a cross-sector team of analysts, researchers and strategists.
