Early arrival. NIce plane. Quick trip.
I've flown quite a bit over the last 15 years. One of the things that is getting out of hand is the way planes are boarded. Something has to change with everyone standing around the gate waiting for their group to be called to board. Not only that, but I see people who are not in a specific group attempt to get on the plane when it's not their turn and get on anyway. I think the plane needs to be boarded from the back of the plane to the front AND some of these bags people are taking don't fit and it takes up valuable overhead space. What I love about Delta is their crew is very professional and nice in which to work. What I found upsetting about this flight is I used some of the Skymiles to purchase ComfortPlus seats. ComfortPlus was called, we got on the plane and found we were not in ComfortPlus. Very upsetting when you're looking for that extra few inches of leg room.

Cons: "The flight was delayed by six hours, for no other reason than the airline itself, not the weather. Change of planes, emergency landing back at Atlanta, changed to another plane, no flight crew for over an hour, then to top it off, the final landing was the hardest I’ve experienced."

Cons: "Originally, they were putting me on a flight connecting through Atlanta. However, I was traveling with my brother and there was only one seat on it. After looking again, we were put on a much better route through Detroit. I did not have a seat on the second leg and was stressed that I could get bumped. I made the flight but was given a middle seat. Since I have clostrophobia I began to panic. My brother sacrificed his exit row seat for me. He had booked through Delta. I wondered if he got better treatment because of that"
Cons: "First leg the server “ran” the aisle and I missed drinks/snacks twice. Seats are rediculously in lack of leg space hip to knee area—I’m a 5’10” female."
Cons: "Kayak a howed my gate as something that didn’t exist at the terminal. I went to a kayak help desk to have a ticket printed that showed my TSA precheck because it wasn’t showing on my mobile ticket, and no one was there to help. I waisted for 10 mins. It then took me nearly 2 hours to get through security. I asked if I could get through quicker and was told I could not, despite it being passed my boarding time. I then ran to my gate where I waited for another 10 mins (no one was there, again) and then an employee came out and said they couldn’t let anyone board once the door was shut. He then directed me to the delta help desk (there was at least 20 people behind me who missed their flight). I then had to pay an additional $75 to get a later flight. The whole experience was awful and I’m disappointed with Kayak and the gate confusion, but mostly Delta and the lack of customer service."

Pros: "Loved that the pilot or first officer, not sure which, came on the intercom at one point and said they were expecting turbulence ahead so if anyone needed to use the bathroom, right then would be the time to go!! Useful information and much appreciated."

Pros: "During some bad weather the pilots chose to go into a holding pattern to wait for a thunderstorm to leave the field. Thanks for considering our safety. The entire crew was awesome."
Cons: "Why do the airliine attendants make sure all of our seat belts are fastened before they give us a safety briefing to demonstrate how to buckle our seat belts?"

Cons: "For the second consecutive Delta flight, one at LGA, one at JFK, (it’s never happened on any other airline) TSA pre-check was closed and over a dozen agents trying to upsell the CLEAR program were working hard to get people to spend $175 not to wait in the resulting one hour long line."

Pros: "I ordered a wheelchair with AA. The wheelchair did not arrive! However AA got one for me. A wheelchair person was to take me to the gate. No one arrived! My brother in law took me to the gate. Security was more then horrible! Three to five minutes between baggage. I arrived 1.5 hours ahead and barely made it to the gate! Very very frustrated with in inability of security to be organized to do a decent normal job. In all the years I've traveled this was the worst!"
