Pros: "Nothing same useable"
Cons: "No need"

Pros: "when you enter Canada and then travel through YVR for another flight it is a total waste. Not the fault of the airline but the way they do things with security"

Pros: "crew"
Cons: "i would love to seat beside passenger who doesn’t snore bery loud."

Cons: "I wasn’t able to choose a seat"

Pros: "Casual attitude."
Cons: "better food option than a few dusty pretzels and a thimble of water."

Pros: "Fantastic crew!"

Cons: "Delayed 2 hours"

Pros: "Quick flight and it was on schedule"
Cons: "Better option for movies and tv shows"

Pros: "The night skyline from above as you fly into LAX is simply awe inspiring with the miles and miles of lights everywhere you look. Quick flight and no hassles."
Cons: "The 3 rows of clubs seats ahead me were catered to quite well, but maybe a current dividing that and economy is necessary so you don’t feel so 2nd class."

Pros: "Mate"
Cons: "Late"

Pros: "The flight didn’t get cancelled. We didn’t crash."
Cons: "Flight was delayed because it came from Toronto and it needed to be cleaned."

Pros: "The crew was friendly and provided great service."

Pros: "On time, free coffee, free pretzels"
Cons: "Going home."

Cons: "Super Cold airplane and it’s not the only west Ket that was freezing. the crew kept skipping my row for drinks for some reason. the landing was rough."

Cons: "Booked our seats 24 hours in advance and could not get seats together. Airline expects us to pay extra for reasonable expectations as that"

Pros: "Crew very kind and smily. Very punctual."
Cons: "Prices ridiculous, one coors light 7dollars and with 7 dollars you buy 12 coors light in Mexico!!!. Food really bad and prices worse. No entertainment."

Pros: "Left and arrived on time, friendly Westjet crew as always."
Cons: "Tiny TV screens, no real food, seat cushion was so compacted it was uncomfortable."

Pros: "The crew were very amiable and one member in particular was quite funny during the seat belt demonstration. First one I've paid attention to the entire time."
Cons: "Plane was freezing cold and seats were quite uncomfortable."

Pros: "Made it home faster than thought."
Cons: "Could use a pillow/blanket on a long, overnight flight like this. Small amounts of turbulence also cancelled in-flight services. Very uncomfortable flight."

Cons: "They stopped renting out iPads on board. If don’t have own screens or for some reason couldn’t download app, makes for a long flight. Overall, great flight; all on time. Leg room borderline. Window seats can’t sneak to bathroom without waking others. Pretty much need to all get up to let them out."

Pros: "Same"
Cons: "Same"

Cons: "They used the rough air condition story to hip us out of full service, The conditions were fine . I bought the plus and did that because of a food option. They ripped me off Thanks Bryan ELLIOTT Previous flyer Lost my trust"

Pros: "Plane, stewardesses on the plane"
Cons: "Where to start. Booked a higher priced ticket as layover was minimal. Westjet later emails, saying layover is now 7 hours?!?! We booked a connector with air canada with only a 2hr layover. We decided to keep the checked bags on the Westjet later connector to be less hassle. Westjet agents at airport did not mention that you cannot do that. So it wasn’t until we arrived at the layover point, we were told we had to pull the bags and re-check them in with Air Canada, go through the whole rigamarile of checkin, baggage check, and security. Not something you want to deal with when you are at the tail end of a red-eye flight. So thumbs down. In Westjet’s defense, they did give me a 200 dollar credit toward a future flight when I kicked up a fuss about the change to a 7-hour layover."

Pros: "Boarding and flight attendants."
Cons: "Not enough food selection"

Pros: "Price was perfect."
Cons: "Airlines don't have small tv's to watch and give out cheap snacks. Flairaire is so cheap you even have to buy your beverage unless it's a glass of water. Wasn't overly impressed with this airline. Also getting your itenairy online was also difficult. I had to change email information and call customer service which was in Spanish not English language. Then while lining up at the airport to process and check bags there was no computer to self serve and get through the line up faster and efficiently. The main clerk that helps with the line up was rude to passengers. Stating that on a domestic flight you need to be 2 hours ahead of boarding. Which most of us were a good 90 minutes to pre boarding. All of the struggles can be avoided with self serve check-in and prepaid bag check. The flight and crew were friendly and pleasant."

Pros: "It was a quiet flight. Quick loading. Got to sit with my friends."
Cons: "Seats were rock hard. Less leg space, price of bags to high, too many people bring on over-sized carry on taking up all the overhead bins. No entertainment options for flight"

Pros: "Staff was extremely friendly, super helpful. Wasn't as jam packed as most flights so it was nice to have some extra leg room."
Cons: "No in flight movie or distraction of some sort but was still a very calm quiet flight which is just as good."

Pros: "On time efficient friendly helpful crew"
Cons: "Expensive food choices, small seats , small seat back pockets to store my stuff !"

Cons: "We sat on the tarmac in the plane for 4 hours when 20 minutes into the delay the flight attendants knew they weren't going to be able to fly with us, and instead of cancelling the flight 20 minutes into the delay we sat on the plane for 4 hours while the crew knew we were not going to take off. There were a handful of infants and children (my 10 month old nephew included) and for the crew to keep the passengers on the plane for 4 hours when they knew the flight was going to be cancelled is unacceptable."

Pros: "Crew ok."
Cons: "Was told need to fix my ticket from Bangkok. So after waiting over an hour to get ticket fixed, found out didn't need to. Then a rush through security . Lucky Westjet flight delayed (usual) And made flight by running to gate. Then get to sit on plane for an hour. AGAIN. Two flights on Westjet and two delayed and two sat in the plane an hour. First time missed my connecting to Hong Kong and Bangkok. I know nothing perfect, but this seems to be the norm. Next time will try to find someone else to fly with."

Pros: "No much.."
Cons: "To start.. due to your company combining two out going Toronto flights in Vancouver and then being late off the ground in Vancouver because if that we missed our connecting flight in Toronto to Ottawa. This in turn made us miss a very important appointment in Ottawa. I’m sure the company loves that they saved money by combining those flights however you flunked the test with me. All the corporate could care less about me missing my flight after they look at the bottom line but I will be taking my $1600 plus money elsewhere in the future because of the aggravation, frustration and I don’t care attitude that your company has provided me. I’ll I want to do is get back to Vancouver in my return flight hopefully put most likely on time with my two girls and forget that your company does exists. Thanks for the headaches and goodbye.."

Pros: "Hannah was a lovely accommodating woman thourghly enjoyed her service, i slept the whole way to Prince George. Crew was welcoming and accommodating."
Cons: "Didnt know i bought west jet plus seats. Enjoyed my service though. May think of buying plus again some time soon on one of my up comming trips"

Pros: "Some of the people who helped with wheelchair assistance for my dad were kind."
Cons: "1. I previously asked for wheelchair assistance for my father and when we dropped off our bags the agent said she would get someone and told us to sit in the waiting area. After five minutes no one came so I went to the assistance desk and they said they hadn't been informed so they sent someone right away. If I hadn't been there to ask, I don't know how long my mom and dad would have sat there. 2. The man who wheeled my dad to the gate was very nice and he said he arranged for all of us to sit together, which was nice because I wasn't able to sit with my parents since we weren't able to choose the same row when we booked. When we boarded, we found out that the seats hadn't been changed, and the person who previously booked the seat beside my parents refused to move so I sat in the row beside them. These problems were minor but they highlighted a lack of communication between staff and the attendant dealing with us wasn't the most friendly either. I used to fly westjet in the early days when I still lived in Canada and I've noticed that the level of service has gone down. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity and space to comment. Asunción Perez"

Cons: "Delays"

Pros: "Friendly flight attendants"
Cons: "I traveled from Vancouver to Edmonton today on WS 320 and one of my luggage was delayed. I had to wait through many phone call queues to get in contact with an agent and none of them were very useful. I was informed that my baggage would arrive in Edmonton at 5pm and be contacted to arrange delivery options but I had not heard anything from them and it is already past 8pm. I had to stay at home to wait for the phone call which resulted me in canceling my evening plans. The luggage contains frozen home made goods and various food items I brought back from my recent trip to Taiwan. With the food not being in a freezer for over 12 hours at this point they've likely all gone bad. I am extremely displeased with the bagging service especially when I had PAID to get my bags checked. I was told that packing food in checked bags comes with a risk and is a game but everything in life is a risk and I find that excuse from an agent very unacceptable. I am also very upset that WestJet does not offer compensation for food damages because the foods in my luggage are definitely worth over $200 and some are not obtainable in Canada."

Cons: "delayed 2 hours and I missed my connecting flight"

Cons: "I dislike that westjet tried to get me to pay for my seats when I initially bought the ticket, only to discover later that the seats are free if I choose them at check in. I didn’t pay the seat charge but there is a breach of trust in them trying to con me that makes me not want to fly with them again."

Pros: "Actually, and sadly, not very much."
Cons: "These guys just will not take any action to seat you next to the people you would like to sit with, even if you are married to them and have been for over 30 years! No amount of asking nicely will get you any action at all. Six hour flights and you get a coffee and cookie. Flight stewardess makes you wait in the aisle behind row 3 for the bathroom - sure, just stand there and tower over some other poor traveller, don't stand right next to me - I'm a flight stewardess for goodness sakes! Having flown professionally, and for business and leisure for over 40 years I offer this advice - pick another airline - these guys do not deserve to be in the business."

Pros: "Order ahead food was easy and selection was tasty"
Cons: "Bring a book! Apps to have your entertainment on individual devices is a bad idea."

Pros: "Flight was delayed an hour"

Pros: "The breezy, confident preflight announcements of the crew, including (from the Captain) "We are flying into Kelowna today, where the weather is always awesome even though it is a bit overcast and 5 degrees C..." and from the flight attendant on landing, "We have arrived in Kelowna. If you live here--Lucky You! You are almost home! And if you don't live here, welcome to the Okanagan! We hope you enjoy your stay." I was only disappointed that the sentence including 'lucky you' was not included in the French translation. C'est d'hommage..."

Pros: "friendly and relaxed crew, clean plane, on time"
Cons: "No entertainment center on plane"

Pros: "Quick and comfortable"
Cons: "No tv but understanding for price of flight"

Cons: "To the best of my knowledge I paid for a window seat on my trip to Montreal. It was the only option I elected to pay for, yet, I found myself in the middle seat. A personal life lesson we’ll learned and an experience to be remembered & considered, under advisement, on any future bookings."

Pros: "The flight attendants were amazing!"
Cons: "The head phone jack for my tv was broken which was annoying but not the worst thing ever because I just listened along with my wife beside me. If I hadn't known the person beside me and have been able to listen to share theirs it would have been way worse."

Cons: "No choice for seating - my husband and I were seated separately"

Cons: "Didn't know I needed to download Westjet app before the flight and bring my own device"

Pros: "Low cost, supportive seating"
Cons: "Meals are extra Arrived a bit early and had to wait about 15 min for someone to attach the gate"

Pros: "Crew were really nice and good entertainment."
Cons: "Paying for food and alcohol was a bit of a downer."

"Worst airlines ever used"

Cons: "Tight seating"

Pros: "Fast flight Social distancing A whole row to almost every person"
Cons: "N/A"

Cons: "One of my checked baggage was lost."

Cons: "The vegetarian meals, they were not enjoyable, we actually couldn’t eat them. I wish we had not gotten vegetarian meals as the regular breakfast was a choice between pancakes or omelet with fresh fruit, which where both vegetarian. They need to make a difference between vegetarian and vegan."

Pros: "Nice comfortable flight, has good entertainment program. Uncomplicated easy boarding."
Cons: "Food for 9 h wish to be better: dinner was cold (you could feel that chicken was warmed in microwave, but pasta was just taken from fridge), breakfast was pathetic. In last seats to many overhead compartments was secured for equipment or occupied by crew"

Pros: "The zone system seems to work well for boarding and the cabin crew on my flight to London were superb, helpful and polite to myself and others, despite a few impatient passengers."

Pros: "The flight was on time check in was simple and quick Staff on board friendly and professional Inflight movies fab Plenty of room on seats clean plane"
Cons: "Nothing all great"

Pros: "I love this flight. Great airplane and great staff. Air Canada international >> air Canada domestic."

Cons: "Ran out of food.."

Pros: "We got there without crashing."
Cons: "Checking in and luggage drop off was chaos. One useless staff person failed to tell people where to line up to drop bags off until the end. She just stood there and if you asked a question she gave you the wrong answer. In Newerk we had to wait 2 hours for our bags. The man st the AC office had no idea why the bags were not coming and could not get someone to tell him and emotionally dithered and then fell apart. I will avoid travelling on AC again if I can. Worst flight ever. They did not have enough food on board either. At least the pilots were competent."

Pros: "They seemed like a good airline. It was my first time flying with them, and I got upgraded to business class on the very first flight of my trip. What a great first impression! They're quite service oriented, with attendants speaking multiple languages. The in-flight magazine was good but not available on every plane. The food was usually pretty good, and the live map was convenient."
Cons: "All of the flights were late (I had 6 of them on this trip, all thru Air Canada, and not a single one departed on time). All of my layovers were long, except one, which was planned to be about an hour but ended up being less than 30min. That one was a pain: had to go through Canadian customs and then run across the Toronto airport, but thankfully my next flight was still boarding - and ended up running late because they had to de-ice the plane. One of the flights ran late, and as we were reaching the gate a passenger felt the need to yell racist/ignorant comments at a fellow passenger who wouldn't sit down, and then the flight attendant - overall that was a real shame."

Cons: "Ended up missing this connecting flight to Calgary . Our plane left 45 minutes late from Phoenix because of a gas spill so when we got to Vancouver from Phoenix, we had to go through customs which took extra time. When we first landed in Vancouver and before we even got off the plane, we had 5 minutes to board onto our next flight which obviously was not going to happen. We rushed through customs and still might have been able to board our flight at the last possible minute except the staff at the airport led us to somehow get out of the secure area and have to go through security again before going to our gate. That took so much extra time. This never should have happened. When you get off the plane and have a connecting flight, there is always a way to get to the gate to board without having to go through security again. When we finally made it to our gate for our connecting flight, our plane had left and we were told to go to the air canada service desk. There was about 10 to 15 of us that had missed our connecting flight because of this so the 2 staff at the desk were trying to help us all but had to wait for their manager to come and confirm they could give us another flight which took quite a bit longer than I thought. We ended up getting booked on standby on a flight straight from Vancouver to Saskatoon in 2 hours which was our final destination, but never was told that because of all this headache, we should have grabbed our luggage. We thought our luggage was going to go on without us on the flight we missed but apparently if you do not get on your flight they don’t send your bags which makes sense. We also had thought for a second that maybe our luggage didn’t go on the flight from Vancouver to Calgary but if it didn’t then someone would most likely put it on the flight to Saskatoon. We should have asked about it but they should also have mentioned it when we were in a panic. And I understand you can’t put extra people on a flight that is booked, but what if the plane we were on standby for was full and we had to wait even longer .. could have taken us a day to get home when this wasn’t our fault we missed our flight, but was air Canada’s."

Pros: "Organised zones for boarding"
Cons: "i am à French National ( France) living in UK. After a confusing conversation from the officer not understanding that I was not travelling to France ( assumption) I was asked to show evidence I had the right to enter UK !!!! I explained I lived there permanently ; I was then asked why French hate English so much!!! To which I explained only narrow minded people would believe so and that the style of her comment were not appropriate . I explained my children were half French half British and that her comment was offensive ."

Pros: "Will use again"
Cons: "Airline food has always been poor no matter which airline you travel. Be more liberal with the drinks trolley."

Pros: "Good leg room. Staff friendly and helpful. Really great flight."

Cons: "Horrible customer service from check in through to the flight attendants. Needed to download app on my phone for an international flight in order to watch movies. Was very unimpressed with the experience."

Pros: "It was average"
Cons: "My connections were tight from the start. Then when the flight from Vancouver was late leaving, it caused me to come very, very close to missing my CVG connection. I had to find & clear customs before I could even go to my gate. Getting thru customs was like being in a maze. I showed my passport 4 times in the process & finally someone helped me to fill out the electronic form. I made it to my gate in the nick of time just as they were ready to close the door. They radioed ahead to let 2 more people on that plane. Then I get on and someone is sitting in the seat that I previously purchased. The flight attendant didn't make them move either. Air Canada's practices suck! I will never fly Air Canada again."

Cons: "This review is about Air Canada from Los Angeles to Vancouver. Our flight was cancelled the flight for technical reason, without a notice. We found out when we got to the airport with four children. We were put on a later flight that also left Los Angeles later than the scheduled time. We arrived to Vancouver so late that we could not make the latest BC Ferry to Victoria that left at 9:00 pm. We lost our hotel reservation in Victoria. We were stranded in Vancouver till we could find a hotel that cost us an extra $600 (US dollars), an extra reservation for the ferry and lost a precious half a day of our vacation. When we complained about this wasted time and money Air Canada did not utter not even a clear simple apology. It offered a lousy discount on our next flight with the company, believing that we may ever use such an uncaring company"

Pros: "The staff"
Cons: "No TV monitors and food was bad"

Pros: "The plane took off and landed on time."
Cons: "The food was terrible and the staff were in there own world and not particularly polite. Hand luggage was not managed so the bins were rammed. Some people had 3 pieces of large hand luggage. Food was the worse I have had on any flight. I would rather pay and have something edible. On 2 of my 3 flights the staff were so wrapped up in there own life's, they did not manage to finish the safety checks before taking there seat. Overall a poor experience."

Cons: "Air Canada offers this flight DAILY. Yet somehow the boarding was the most excruciating tedious I’ve had to endure. Passengers who needed assistance boarding seemed to have to deal with haphazard organisation, and the fact that they seemed surprised so many people brought carry-on luggage that the bins filled up is laughable. Changed my return flight to Alaska Air."

Cons: "This flight was delayed by 45 minutes which made me miss my connecting flight. I asked the flight attendants if they could help me get to the front of the plane to see if I could catch my connecting flight and they wouldn't help me. Due to this I had to wait over 4 and a half hours at the airport wheee another 350 people were waiting for accommodations. I was in the airport until 4:30 in the morning because there weren't enough air cansas representatives. In addition, they were working really slowly because they kept getting up to chat with eachother."

Pros: "It was a normal flight. Only one hour."
Cons: "Snack options could have been better, only a biscuit."

Pros: "Clearing immigration in Vancouver is very convenient"
Cons: "Food choices are limited and expensive."

Cons: "Instructions on Air Canada's website when you Google "how early should you get to the airport flying Canada to USA" say you should get there 3 hours ahead of time. For a 6:40 flight I got to the airport at 3:40, as instructed, and checkin wasn't even open. Per Air Canada's website "You should arrive at the airport three (3) hours before your flight's scheduled departure time. Pre-board security screening for departures to the U.S. opens at 3:00 AM. Exception: 20 minutes for flights departing from Toronto City Airport (YTZ)." Check in staff told me I should have gotten there 2 hours ahead. This is very conflicting. Considering I was heading to a 10 hour trade show, believe me that hour of sleep I lost between 2:30 when I had to get up for this flight and 3:30 when I could have gotten up sure was missed. Correct and consistent instructions to passengers go a long way."

Pros: "Reasonably good all around."
Cons: "I paid for an upgraded seat on this flight and wished I hadn't. Whole rows of seats were empty and I would have been more comfortable in my original seating, according to the seating plan during online check in the entire plane was booked out but for a few seats."

Pros: "Friendly efficient staff"
Cons: "The plane was a bit dated so the seats were smaller the Luthansa"

Pros: "Wasn't too late. Plane seemed clean."
Cons: "Seated beside a young child with behavioral problems. Father mostly slept. Child stood on seat and jumped up and down, crawled under seats, threw ipad on my foot repeatedly, spilled his drink all over himself and his seat, screamed whenever his seat belt had to go on or his table top couldn't be down. At one point, the dad lost his temper, swore at the child, and covered him with a blanket in a big screaming match before doing up his seat belt--I was afraid he had smothered him but it had the effect of calming him down. No attendant even tried to intervene apart from asking "can I see your kid's boarding pass?" People should have to disclose when they are travelling with a child with severe behavioural problems and attendants should rescue anyone forced to sit beside one or at least make the parent care for the child. Also, a minimum of crackers or pretzels would be nice with drink on 5-hour flight. The entertainment system wasn't operating correctly and kept having to be reset by crew or reset itself. And, after first class etc. board, why don't they board the people at the back of the plane first, not the ones at the front? It took forever because people in front zones hadn't settled into their seats before people from the back zones tried to board."

Pros: "I liked the organized boarding process."
Cons: "Rouge Flight entertainment does not even come close to any other carriers entertainment system. Additionally, if you have a PC your're out of luck. It only works with IOS. Funny, it took me over an hour to find this out prior to the flight. The ground crew were all clueless if I could use my PC. I could have used my Smart Phone but it's kinda on the small side to watch a full length movie and drain my battery to 0. The Air Canada website was equally not helpful. I had to purchase their Ipad rental for $10 Canadian Dollars in order to watch a movie. Funny, they only had maybe 12-15 movies to choose from. Additionally, the bathrooms were disgusting and had broken parts everywhere. Flight was filthy. Looks like their just trying to scramble turning their flights around. I felt sorry for the people waiting in Honolulu for their flight back to Vancouver. Shame on you Air Canada. Time to upgrade your fleet please. You need to have better cleaning crews and definitely upgrade your Rouge Player system to accept PC's."

Pros: "Overall very very good - could offer more water throughout flight."

Cons: "Pressed the service bell mutiple over 30 minutes, no one came. Had to get out of my seat and walk to the back of the plane where I found all the attendants having a chat. Not even a sorry from them."

Cons: "Customs detained my girlfriend and I for an hour causing us to supposedly miss our flight. We spoke to a Air Canada Rep and they told us our flight had left and they couldn't hold it for us. That is fine but they said they would not provide us with a hotel for missing this. Ok that is there policy but we ran to the terminal E95, for our Flight to Portland which had actually had not left and they were actually holding it for another person. So Air Canada lied about our flight leaving and that there was not another one till the next day. Overall I will never go to this airport nor will I use Air Canada ever again."

Cons: "The flight attendants were jerks. Why can't I listen to my headphones before takeoff? Because of the safety speech? Are deaf people not allowed to fly? I was asked to take my headphones off during the safety speech, which I did. I put them back on after the speech and was yelled at. The lady in front of me had a dog. The lady across from me was talking on her cell phone. And the kids behind me were playing games on their iPad with no headphones and the sound on. No one said anything to them. Screw this airline."

Pros: "Food ok crew and staff very helpful"

Cons: "YVR airport's Air Canada staff was extremely unprofessional. First, they cancelled my original itinerary and moved me to a flight 3 hours later. Now I understand it was holidays so I was okay thus far. I got to the airport 2 hours before the departure time and even though I had check-in online, I was requested to get into "Check-in assistance" line instead of the "baggage drop". The "Check-in assistance" line had multiple people rebooking their flights when at the counter (on an average each person was being held for 15 minutes by the slow staff). By the time I reached the counter, I was told that the gate had been closed and I will have to rebook. The staff said at that point that it was "just the way it is" and their terms and conditions have this clause saying they don't guarantee people will be boarded. Well, sure, don't board them if they're late but don't delay them on purpose and then strike them off the boarding list. Very Very disappointed."

Pros: "screen and interface"
Cons: "back of seat/head rest uncomfortable, average food in very small quantities films not refreshed fast enough, same in and out flights"

Pros: "Short flight. Simple. Smooth."
Cons: "There was a short delay because crew was caught up in security."

Pros: "Everything came on time. Staff was professional during a difficult situation"
Cons: "Air Canada seems to lack organization or any coordinated effort through out the organization. They have a fully booked flight and instead of making people with hard case luggage check them they crowd them in on the same flight where there are delays trying to get peoples luggage to fit into the bins. Also through the 4 Air Canada flights flight attends were constantly running down the aisle and hitting customers shoulders and not apologizing. it was also disruptive when people were trying to sleep (these were the 3 flights going to hawaii through calgary and vancouver and then back through vancouver. Probably will not fly with Air Canada again till corporate starts considering clients."

Pros: "I'm glad Air Canada took appropriate precautions to ensure our safety, however..."
Cons: "On the flight from Portland to Vancouver, someone was allowed to board the plane and then leave, with no explanation, no accompaniment, and no way of contacting him. Consequently, our flight was delayed 3 hours while police and bomb squads checked the plane and all the baggage. Why was this person allowed to disembark in the first place? This occurred during boarding, so there should have been attendants there to stop him or at least ask him where he was going. And once he did disembark, why was no one able to track where he went? Seems like an odd security breach and, ultimately, a huge inconvenience for the passengers who remained on the plane."

Pros: "The flight was good and the attendants on it were nice. Wasn't too uncomfortable and in flight entertainment was pretty decent."
Cons: "We were delayed over an hour which in itself is okay as I understand flights get delayed and these things happen but the way in which the staff controlled the situation was horrible. They made multiple announcements making it sound like certain groups should go to the counter to be boarded (children, people needing assistance etc..) yet when these groups of people showed up at the counter the staff acted irritable saying they would need to wait their turn and that they havent even started boarding yet. This led to massive confusion and a huge pile up of people at the counter."

Pros: "Aircraft was very comfortable and up to date"
Cons: "Both dinner and breakfast were so bad as to be a joke. Tasteless chicken on pasta with a miserable little salad for dinner. Breakfast far worse, the 'continental breakfast' being a slice of banana loaf or something similar in plastic film and a pathetically small yoghurt. Crew didn't even serve pour row coffee or tea, totally overlooked us. My next flight was with SAA to Johannesburg - infinitely better food and attitude. Not that I expect this eeview to make any imnpression on Air Canada. THey are beyond help and frankly I don't care as I won't fly with them again."

Pros: "Comfortable, well maintained aircraft. Good entertainment. Friendly crew. Boarding process was well conceived. They separated seating zones into different queues, and turned back people who attempted to board out of order."
Cons: "Breakfast was underwhelming for an international flight. Dinner was just average. The crew seemed to have trouble responding to things like...people using restrooms late during the descent, passengers making themselves a little too "at home" and thereby disturbing their neighbors, and repeated chimes due to an errant elbow on a call button...the little things. They are things you don't notice when a crew is highly attentive, as you find on Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, or Air New Zealand. The crew were friendly, but not quite in charge."

Pros: "I honestly can't think of anything I liked, other than the plane arriving and leaving on time."
Cons: "The in flight entertainment is a joke, it's a 14 hour flight so why are there only 3 episodes of any tv show? The food was inedible, and beverages were limited to 3 choices coffee, water or juice. I was trying to sleep on the plane but every time a flight attendant would walk past me they would run into me (and I was very much within my seat) and wake me up. They also woke me up to ask if I wanted food twice. The seats were so uncomfortable. I'm an able bodied 20 something and if I am in this much physical pain from flying I can't imagine what an elderly person must feel like after flying Air Canada. The pillow that was provided gave me no comfort what so ever, it wasn't think enough to even offer some back support."

Pros: "Very comfortable flight - had the luxury of a row to myself in economy. Food and drink service was great and the crew were very friendly. The 787 is a pleasure to fly on."
Cons: "More movies and TV - flew with Air Canada 6 times in 6 weeks so I was starting to run out of entertainment options."

Pros: "There was a decent selection of in flight movies"
Cons: "-the aux plug for the headphones wasn't working properly. Resulting in me having to hold the headphones in place the entire flight -the first time the attendant went by with the food selections for purchase she walked right past me and went on to run out of food by the time I finally got her attention. -I had to ask the people behind me several times to please stop their child from kicking the back of my seat. Although the attendant made eye contact me one of the times she made no intervention on my behalf. - my return flight was in short: neglectful and arduous. I probably wouldn't recommend Air Canada after a flight like that."

Pros: "Excellent flight"
Cons: "All good"

Pros: "Clean aircraft."
Cons: "Seats being marked @ $ 16 and $42 upto 24 hours before flight"

Pros: "food choice are awful. I am allergic to bell peppers and avocado, so there is little I can eat"
Cons: "this was my second flight in two weeks that was delayed out of Vancouver. Last week to Newark we were delayed 4 hours due to a tire needing changing, got into New York 4 hours late. Yesterday, the flight was again delayed for 90 minutes while mechanical repairs were needed. Several people missed connections. It is making me think that I cannot trust the timing of your flights and as I am going to Paris through Montreal on Sept. 25th, I feel I should change my flight to give myself more time to make my flight to Paris. I currently have 1 hour and 5 minutes to make the flight. Do you think I should change my flight and will I be charged for it. Please advise."

Pros: "once i got through checking in everything was ok"
Cons: "if i knew the name of the man i talked to at checkin i would make a complaint specifically about him. i lost my passport a few days before coming home and went to the united states consulate where they told me to bring a printed copy of my passport and the united states boarding patrol would let me back into the united states. the man at the checkin didn't want to let me through to even speak to the united states border patrol and told me the consulate was wrong. i almost missed my flight because of his stubborn arrogance. once past him i was able to explain what happened and show what identification I had and everyone was very nice to me."
