Pros: "Flight nearly on time. Good legroom."
Cons: "Food was so-so. Don’t like having to pay for a drink on an international flight costing $1000."
Pros: "The flight was delayed more than 9 hours. We arrived at the original departure time because I did not have internet access to receive emails about the delay. We wait at the terminal all day, and we did not get food or drink. I will never choose this airline."
Pros: "Convenient quick. No stop overs"
Cons: "could have used more room"
Cons: "Entertainment system kept kicking out & had to start over. Gave up"
Cons: "Onboard entertainment did not work. This 5 hour flight did not even offer a snack. Flight was late to leave, and then sat on the runway for 40 min on arrival. The Captain announced a "10 min wait". This was misleading."
Pros: "Easy flight to Dublin."
Cons: "Boarding could be better organized - staff should make sur only the people in the zones called are in line. Not everyone from all zones. The zones 3-5 line isn't helpful. They should change it to "boarding" and indicate only thsoe called to board should be there. Otherwise, they need separate lines for EACH Zone."
Pros: "Friendly crew and clean aircraft. Typical airplane food and free-for-all boarding process."
Cons: "No TV on plane for a 9 hour flight. No one wants to watch entire movies on their phone. Not comfortable. Seats are cramped and could feel the knees of the passenger behind me pressing into my back for 9 hours."
Cons: "When the flight was already late (it arrived late), they delayed takeoff so that many people, including me, missed their connections."
Pros: "This was a long flight so we opted for premium economy, which upgrade was very reasonably priced. Almost everything about the flight was wonderful; friendly, efficient crew, comfortable seat and temperature, tasty food and generous drinks and on-time departure and arrival."
Cons: "The entertainment app which we downloaded to our iPads prior to the flight, is a bit flaky in that it would get in a loop of advertising and made watching a movie frustrating"
Pros: "All was well, except for an hour delay in departure. Air Canada Rouge doesn't have any in-flight entertainment except for having to have a tablet or smartphone and having to download their App in order to watch something. Otherwise, you can attempt sleeping or reading or something else."
Cons: "Lack of built-in entertainment."
Pros: "Crew very nice."
Cons: "Boarding staff very unprofessional and not knowledgeable. Didn't tellbus correct info and caused us to muss flight. Had to buy new tickets. Terrible experience! Will never fly again!"
Pros: "That we ended the trip safely."
Cons: "Paid the trip to Lufthansa and flown with Rouge not even Air Canada ! Big disappointment, never again."
Cons: "No entertainment and poor seat selection process"
Pros: "Service was kind."
Cons: "We sat on the plane for over an hour before take-off and were therefore late arriving in Toronto. Economy seats were cramped, as expected, and there were children screaming most of the flight. Food was pretty awful."
Pros: "Love a direct flight into/out of Budapest! Rouge flights have an app you can use on your device with a small playlist of entertainment options. Otherwise, you're stuck with whatever you brought with you."
Cons: "Wish there was a notice of our flight progress somewhere. I felt embarrassed to ask the flight attendants who had to do calculations on the spot instead of being able to just check it on the app."
Pros: "The snack selection is excellent"
Cons: "No complaints"
Pros: "Efficient and helpful."
Cons: "Check in was slow and confusing."
Cons: "Same as above. Flight delayed by 45 minutes. No explanation given as to why... no inclement weather or other issues that day."
Pros: "friendly pilot"
Cons: "Delayed 25 minutes, and threatened to fly without 15 passengers due to strong headwinds and need to reduce weight. Never heard that one before."
Cons: "The connection process at YYZ airport. You need to clear security twice in order to connect. Risk of missing flights got connection because the walk to terminal is long and security checkpoint is very inefficient and sllw"
Pros: "The streaming entertainment system is innovative and well done"
Cons: "Final food service (chicken wrap) was not good; reminded me of a microwave burrito"
Pros: "The crew were helpful & friendly. The flight arrived on time."
Cons: "The rows of seats were too close together for comfort."
Cons: "We missed our flight. OK, our fault. Any attempts to contact the airline were unsuccessful. They did not have an office in the airport and the numbers we were given at the information desk to US, Canada, or the local representative were not responsive. We ended up buying tickets for another airline. We were lucky to get the last minute fares for $630 one way. Air Canada's price was over $6,000. An e-mail from the airline reminding of the check-in time would have prevented all this."
Pros: "The meal (pasta) was good. The seat was roomy enough. The crew offered water and other beverages frequently. The"
Cons: "The snack (cold sandwich with nothing else) was disappointing. VERY limited entertainment options: rent an iPad and hope it has a movie you want to see, or nothing. Not good for a long flight Also had to restock the lavatory myself"
Pros: "Food was good. Crew was very nice."
Cons: "Boarding was terrible. For some reason we boarded 30 minutes late and then take off took forever. This made us late for our landing. When we landed, we were stuck on the plane for an extra half hour (after a 10 hour flight) because customs couldn't take us. I will never fly through Toronto again. This was my second experience with Air Canada there (and the first time my luggage was lost on the way to Brussels) and it is a complete disaster. Customs was the most complicated least organized process I had ever been through. There were 3 different spots to go through, I showed my passport and boarding pass a million times, stations were understaffed and the staff was unhappy, grumpy and snapping at airline guests. Additionally there was no free entertainment on the 10 hour flight."
Pros: "Flight was mediocre, but one flight attendant was rude and disrespectful. I realize that the job is demanding, but rudeness to passenger is not acceptable. The attendant should be demoted to regional flight, retrained or let go"
Pros: "Flight was on time"
Pros: "Transatlantic flight with charge for a beer? No free entertainment, not even audio? $10 for iPad rentals? Macaroni & Cheese as main dish?"
Pros: "Clean, prompt, attentive staff"
Cons: "It was too hot, very warm and could not get the temperature down. Everyone was sweating it was bad."
Cons: "That we were 50 mins late taking off and it wasn't weather related."
Cons: "The plain didn't have tv and bearly got drinks on the plain"
Cons: "Although the air planes are newer, the seats are uncomfortably smaller which makes long distance flights very unpleasant."
Cons: "The flight was 2 hours late. It had apparently arrived late, and then they had mechanical problems. Air Canada gave me some inaccurate information which delayed me in Montreal and made me miss my connection to Toronto. Also, even though I specified to the flight attendant that I was connecting to Toronto before going to the US , they only gave me the US custom form even though you apparently need to fill the Canadian one even if you are just transiting through the country."
Cons: "Everything ! Customer service was terrible , slow non appreciative , all rude , cramped seats , zero snacks provided and less than 3 oz. of water given .. Not worth the money !! Fly united or American"
Pros: "IT was a good non stop flight. A little uncomfortable for long legged people---but OK. We really liked the NON STOP Thank you AIR CANADA Erica Ann and Nicholas"
Cons: "No TVs on a 10 hour flight, check-in got messed up but nobody kept us informed and I had to run to the gate with no time to get water or snacks, trash service was very slow so my trash kept piling up, meal was not very good"
Pros: "The crew was nice and friendly."
Cons: "No screens, the seat was very uncomfortable...."
Pros: "I liked flying in a small plane; with few people aboard; very uncomplicated."
Cons: "Bathroom on the plane was very small; although clean there was a bad odor, not sure it was from a previous occupant, the water or something, but it was most unpleasant."
Pros: "Flight crew was friendly."
Cons: "Horrible smelly crampy cloth seats, awful food, they don't offer complementary wine and beer for international flights like other carriers, no tvs in the headrest. The flight crew works slower then I have ever observed in my over 200 flights. Took them 1hr 40min to serve what they called "dinner", Delta and others knocks it out in 30!!! And don't get thirsty, You'll die of dehydration before you get a drop of water. They treat ice like its gold. 2 cubes for each drink. If u ask for more u get one more cube. Lol. It was just a horrible experience! I will never fly Air Canada again."
Cons: "No tv but you can use your iPhone/iPad to watch movies but only if you downloaded the app (they only let you know about the app when you're on the plane and you don't have a chance to download it since you don't have Internet), you can rent an iPad for $10 to watch some movies from the '90s. The cabin crew was rude and ignored me when I had a question. Boarding took more than an hour So of course we left late. I would not fly with them again."
