Once I'd checked in to the gate I was trapped and couldn't easily leave to get water or go to the restroom, which was increasingly annoying as my flight was delayed. Passengers continue to bring luggage which takes up too much space in the overhead bins and have more items than permitted. I traveled Lufthansa many times in the past when they had Portland-Frankfurt direct flights. The service and food was superior on those flights compared to what I experienced on this recent flight. Food was terrible. Drink service came by once with no follow up. (would have like a second glass of wine). Entertainment selections were boring. (too much Tom Cruise!) Headphones did not work at all. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I question if I'd fly Lufthansa again.
Please see other message. One flight was cancelled and neither Lufthansa or Air cañada would book me on another flight as they did not have me in their computer(with the numbers you assisted me with) HELP

So, this means that I am still in Germany which is not the worst place in the world to be stuck, especially because my parents live here. So a few day longer are not a problem for me, but if it takes a week, it is not good because I am supposed to be at work and I am using up vacation I had planned to spent with my family."

The bin was only big enough for 1 backpack. 2 of the 3 of us in that row had to go 2 rows back to store our luggage. This is very inconvenient when deboarding because I have to wait for many others to pass before I get a chance to walk towards the back of the plane to get my luggage."

Cons: "The flight was very late. I lost my connection. My bag was lost and unable to recover it so far (after more than 24 hours). About to initiate the next leg of the trip with no clothes or any idea if my luggage will be recovered."

Cons: "Flight was delayed 3 times and when I was finally put on a flight that was leaving, they failed to check the connection in Paris (Left me 10 minutes to get from the aircraft to the other plane!) I was moved to SAA in the end after a truly traumatic time in Johannesburg. This is not the first time I have suffered at the hands of Air France sadly. Needless to say, I wont be booking with Air France again."

Cons: "Initially the flight from Lima was delayed for almost 1:30 and then we lost this connection then Airfrance rebooking to SAS they tell us to take all our luggage’s and check in again it’s was awful and really bad from then walk and spend time we suppose to be quite at home ... the worst was in SAS have ano system and for 1.5 kilos extras you might pay 33€ so after long day and wait, running everywhere with all my staff I see to eat a 11€ menu at the airport with not more explanation from Airfrance .. really bad and worst services.."

Poor communication between plane and ground crew. No explanation from pilot as to continuing reason for delay even after we boarded. Departure time, 1.00 pm, boarded at 1.10, actual departure time 1.45, causing me to almost miss my connection and definitely causing my bags to miss the connection."

Cons: "It's an a380, stains everywhere, aisles between seats narrow even for business, caos at CDG, no clear queues, ground staff shout at passengers, food selection good but huge gap between describtion and reality, in JFK we waited for 30 minutes cause the docking spot was too narrow for the captain, sky priority? The economy got their bags before 1st and business."

The flight was full as were the overhead bins so i had to stow everything at my feet and there was barely any room."

For a first time traveler to the UK, this created unnecessary anxiety and gave us the feeling that the agency appointed to check us in are not supportive. We were eventually sorted but this is not nice at all given the fact that payments went through and tickets were issued and no one informed us of any issues until we got to the airport. Some feedback would be appreciated."

I had a slightly above average size gentleman seated next to me and the seat was so tight he had to totally take over the shared arm rest and our shoulders were rubbing most of the time. That's not a way to spend 9+ hours"

It was chaotic, with no one appearing to know what options were available. It was a long night, and if my wife had not re-booked me on another flight out, I might still be there. Seat would not recline as we were stuck in the very back row of economy. Very uncomfortable experience. BA, this is no longer good enough - relying on customer loyalty will no longer work!"
Cons: "Four hours before departure, the flight was canceled! Unfortunately, the ticket workers were too few in trying to reboot all the passengers. I was transferred to United after an hour and a half wait but was sent back to Aer Lingus (who was operating the flight for BA) by United because the Aer Lingus ticket personnel made the reservation on United but failed to provide the information necessary to generate the ticket. Never British Airways/ Aer Lingus again!"
Pros: "Because of the cabin crew strike the old biddies pushing the trolleys were smart enough to give the passengers double the quota of wine to keep us quiet so we didn't mind the slow food service. I had an excellent flight sleeping thru half of it."

Poor slot management lead to 2 hours on the Tarmac. 11:30 PM flight is taxied to another terminal. No BA customer service here. BA baggage service takes 2.5 hours to write a hotel voucher. Left Airport and reached Hotel at 3 AM. It took a further 1 hour for the Hotel to verify the vouchers. Finally hotel room at 4:15 AM"
Pros: "I was seated on the upper deck of a 747 (63K) and had plenty of room. The cabin was quiet even though the plane was full. Service was excellent. I enjoyed the food. Cabin crew were great."
Cons: "The entertainment system was old and didn't have the selection of programs available on newer aircraft. Flight map was not at all detailed. Time for an upgrade BA! Boarding was a bit of mess. BA has so many different categories of who gets to board first that it got to be very confusing. People couldn't understand if it was their turn or not and people kept being turned away to wait their turn. It would be far easier if people were given a number from 1-5 like Air Canada and they call those numbers which are also printed on your boarding pass. I was flying business class and I think it a terrible cheek that they charge extra (in my case $129-$159 EACH WAY) to select your seat in advance. That's insane considering what I have already spent on the business class ticket. Seems like a money grab to me. I usually fly Air Canada, and this high extra charge will probably make me think twice about flying BA in the future."

Cons: "I bought a ticket from British airlines but the first leg of the trip was with Vueling. The online check in at British Airlines sent me to Vueling but I couldn't check in with British. We had to stand in line at Vueling to check our bags and then with British Airlines to get Get the boarding passes for the other two legs of our our trip. The bags didn't make the switch. British Airlines found our bags in 2 days but 5 days later that's a week later the web check of our file says bags ready for Delivery and call help line can not talk to the airport to find out the problem."
