Boarding was long and drawn out multiple security checks long lines no priority for business class. Seats were hard and food was mediocre at best. Remote controller was not working and attendant suggested that I deal with it instead of moving me to one of several seats empty in the cabin. Attendants barely spoke English as well which is not acceptable for international flights. Will stick to Qatar Airways from now on.

In the day before the flight their on-line computer system did not recognize my ticket number all though it has for the previous three legs of the ticket. When I arrive at the airport I was told the flight was over booked and giving a stand by boarding card. There were about 15 of us with stand by. Only two were denied boarding. Although they did not say so it was clear it was because it was a Kayak reservation. It took 3 1/2 hours in Istanbul airport to get a boarding pass on the next flight. I spoke to eight Turkish Airway representatives. None of them were helpful. Each shifted me to another office elsewhere in the airport without giving me clear direction. Apparently the issue was that they did not want o pay compensation although I never asked for this. In the final office back outside passport control I said I was looking for a boarding pass not compensation.. They gave me on on the 6:10 pm flight and had me sign a statement that I had received 600 Euros in compensation. When I arrive at JFK, my bag was not on the flight. They say they will deliver it today."

Cons: "There was a malfunction on the aircraft after the first taxi attempt. I understand that these things happen but there was zero communication from the captain or the crew. Because there was no power, the A/C was not operational and the cabin grew extremely hot. No water was distributed, and no attempt to communicate the situation with the passengers. The pilot power cycled the aircraft numerous times, which is normal to reset the various systems, but this made many passengers nervous. Finally the issue was resolved and we went on our merry way. In short, all crew-passenger issues could have been resolved with more communication and water. Go forth and sin not again."

The other thing, having an extremely painful back, there was nowhere for me to sit during the time of going through security etc. All caused stress and enormous pain."

Cons: "The new carry-on laptop caused a delay of about 1 hr before departure and arrival an hour late, then claiming the laptop was almost a nightmare with long queue after picking up the luggages, one has to also claim their laptops in a make shift station In the baggage claims area. My suggestion is to put the computer laptops in alphabetic order by last name/surname, with the claim ticket,for easier access when picking up. As for departure, probably at check in to inform them that if you have a laptop carry-on so that can be taken care of right away as not to delay departure when they take it at the departing gate. This should be done at check in if in Turkey, or as a transferring traveler, to inform the traveler to take care of that as soon as arrived to transferring destination and for the traveler not to wait until boarding time at the boarding gate."

We rode in Business class which allowed for priority boarding and comfortable seating. Flying across the Atlantic from Lisbon to San Francisco, I found the configuration and comfort of the seats lacking. The USB and earphone outlets were in a very awkward position, right under your knees and hard to find without a flashlight. Once in the seat, it was awkward to get out. The cabin crew was very pleasant and the food was okay. For the price I thought it was a good deal over all.

Cons: "The seating was absolutely HORRENDOUS. Even though I'm nearly 6'3" (close to 1.90m), I generally never complain about seating space or legroom, even on low cost flights. This particular TAP aircraft, however, despite looking quite new, had some of the most cramped seating ever. Additionally, the trays were minuscule (you could barely place the entire food tray the service during the flight, let alone have another drink at the same time on the tray). Also, on the inbound flight (this was the return one), the seats were fitted with a very simple and clever tablet-holding mechanism, so you could easily watch something on your table while eating your food (from a similarly small tray table). The seat back pockets do not have any material/fabric on the sides, so stored items could easily slip out sideways from the pocket. Shame to have such a good in flight service and to be a punctual airline if you're going to carry your passengers cramped like cattle in seats 'rivalling' the ones on Ryanair flights on 4-hour long journeys."

I have never flown another airline (Air India, Turkish Air, United, American, China Southern, etc., etc.) that did not make this easy to choose during booking or check-in and that did not already have a standard ovo-lacto vegetarian option on the regular menu. Vegetarians practice for all sorts of reasons, including religion and health needs. It's unacceptable to make it so difficult to meet your meal needs while trapped on a plane for nine hours. 2) The check-in agent did not know the rule about all remaining seats being opened for passenger choice three hours before booking and insisted we had to pay to get aisle seats despite one of us having a health problem necessitating her standing up and walking every 45 minutes. Then another agent told us we couldn't choose seats for free for our Porto to Newark flight when we check in for our Madrid-Porto flight because it wasn't technically three hours before the Porto-Newark departure. But how were we supposed to choose seats for the Porto-Newark flight three hours in advance if we are in an airplane flying to Porto at that time? This makes no sense. Seats should be opened for every leg of a same-day journey at the same time. The agents were unhelpful and unsympathetic. 3) This was an old plane without options to choose a film or show to watch. Instead, passengers could flip through a few channels and hope to find something of interest that was already playing -- there was no way to begin a film or show from the beginning if you landed on it in the middle of its running time. I cannot recommend TAP Portugal to any of my friends, family, or colleagues after this experience."

She was wrong. French customs wanted to see the merchandise which we no longer had. When we complained at TAP we were told do it in Lisbon. Again in Lisbon we could not get the D tax because that custom agent wanted to see the merchandise which was being transferred to our Lisbon - Newark flight. We loss refunds of over $400. This problem ruined a perfect trip."

In a nutshell, the customer service sucks, for least money i could have taken another airline with better service."

Then when we finally left I was not informed of the 25 hour layover in Morocco and I did not have anything with me for an overnight trip. The airlines did not consider this and refused to allow me to get my luggage. By the time I got to my hotel after being given the run around for 2 hours, all of the stores were closed for me to purchase toiletries and the room had no towels. The meal the hotel offered was not edible and I had to purchase food on my own. I was originally suppose to land in NYC Saturday at 6:30pm, but if all goes as planned I will arrive in NYC Monday morning at 1:30am. The staff with this airline was not helpful, very rude, and one of the staff told me it was my problem that I could not get to the hotel they assigned to me."

The plane was kept at a very warm temperature, so I was sweaty for most of the flight (I'm usually very cold; it's rare that I find a space too warm). The crew gave me a hard time when I requested the vegetarian meal, claiming that they didn't have one (except they did, which they produced minutes later). I've never been on an international flight that didn't have a vegetarian option. THEN, we left JFK late, and I missed my connection to another Air Maroc flight by TWO minutes. They shut the gate and wouldn't reopen it. Multiple people needed to make this connection; any other airline would have held the plane for the entire five minutes necessary. In conclusion: terrible service and filthy, uncomfortable planes."
Cons: "I paid for an air plane, not a shuttle bus! I waited in the check in line for 2 hours and then they said they would arrange a bus from Marrakesh to Casablanca. So instead of 40 minutes flight, we spent 3 hours in a hot hot bus from Marrakech to Casablanca. And the bus was not even a comfortable regular bus. It was for 15 people shuttle ban. What is more surprising is that because they did not check-in us from Marrakech, and the staffs who put us on the bus did not communicate Royal Air Maroc in Casablanca, they cancelled our family flight reservations to the U.S.A. after we paid the full price! Oh...I forgot to mention that we could not have water or lunch all day long with young kids."
Cons: "To start, the flight never happened. The flight was cancel one WHOLE hour after it was supposed to take-off. Then we get told that they were going to bus us to a larger airport that was THREE hours away. We where told that when we arrive at this airport that there would be hotel accommodations for us and that the agents there will make arrangements for thise with a connecting flight. It was all lies. We arrive at the airport after riding a 2-star bus for three hours inly to be told that they had no idea what we were talking about and that no one told them we where coming. Then we were told that there were no hotel rooms available in the whole city (lie) and that all of the available cars to take us to an available hotel where in another city (another lie). On top of that, if you missed a connecting flight on a different airline, you where screwed. I had to buy a whole new ticket just to get home. It was insane!!! So basically a plane full of people were jerked around and lied to by every employee of this airport that we met. Completely disgusting. If you can avoid it, never ever fly Royal Air Maroc."

Why print zones on a boarding card when RAM never uses zones? No announcements in the boarding area. And on and on. Worst airline I've ever flown on. And I've flown on more than a hundred. You can't expect people to visit if you can't provide the professional service they deserve. Also..., what's with Moroccan security? Why should I have to clear customs for national flights?"

Cons: "The airline cancelled one leg of our flight and then we had to apply for the money back for remaining legs, as they refused to be flexible on the rest of the trip. Instead of offering any help, it was down to us to call their call centre and ask for them to do something about it. At first they didn’t even understand their own cancellation and in the end they refused to do anything. We had to get lastminute.com to sort it for us, and in the end we got our money back. Only after chasing for a second time though! Definitely would not recommend this airline."

Cons: "Boarding in Casa Blanca was incredibly disorganized and lengthy, with no communication from airline staff to help alleviate the chaos. We left one hour late. When we arrived at JFK we spent 1.5 hours on the tarmac waiting for a gate. There was no communication from airline staff explaining the delay or any attempt to minimize our discomfort- (provide water for example). Once we disembarked, we waited more than 2 hours for our luggage. After an hour, an airline staff explained the delay and then disappeared. She was remarkably defensive and unsympathetic. I understand that weather conditions u in NY contributed to some of this, but the lack of communication by airline staff was unconscionable. Also the food was terrible."
Cons: "I cant even begin to describe this airline. They have no customer service and they make no provisions for their customers. They oversold the flight and when you are 1 min late, they give away your seat ,even though they is a 2 hr delay. There was a cockroach on the plane, and the sad thing is that they had cockroach spay on the plane. This should not be. New tickets had to be bought my my other family, although their flight was delayed. I am definitely reporting them to the better business bureau. They should not be in business at all. Never again"

Cons: "Flight was delayed nearly 2-3 hours, for no apparent reason other than the flight crew showing up late. People were asked to queue up and then, after an hour, told that we wouldn't be boarding soon, with no estimated boarding time. On the flight I was next to a talk man who had paid extra for a bulkhead seat, but once his ticket was issued he was in a regular seat. The flight crew absolutely did not care. A number of people missed connecting flights due to the long delay. English announcements were incomprehensible."

Cons: "The attitude of the flight staff toward the passengers could be best described as somewhere between prison warden transporting felons and grade school teacher who hates children leading a field trip. To begin with, our flight closed down boarding over an hour before the take off time. When I asked why the flight boarded so early, a flight attendant snapped at me that it was not early. Okay then. Our flight was two hours delayed (so we sat there for three hours) and during that time I asked for a glass of water and was yelled at to sit back down. I attempted to use the bathroom and was yelled at to sit back down. Other passengers became desperately thirsty and antsy, and they were also yelled at by the staff. I was anticipating another full day of traveling after my flight so I attempted to sleep as soon as the lights went off. I was woken up at midnight because the woman, who I assume had never flown on an airplane before, sitting behind me wanted me to lift my seat up while she ate her dinner. Everyone else on the flight was eating with the seat in front of them reclined, but of course I was woken up, yelled at by the staff, and had my seat forcibly returned to the upright position. When breakfast came around, I was deep in sleep, and the flight attendant snapped my seat up (waking me up) without even asking. I was the only person on the flight who had their seat snapped to the upright position for breakfast this way. They also demanded the pillows and blankets be returned over an hour before landing time. It was service so outrageously bad that the entire experience felt surreal, and I had to keep checking with my friend that the events I was experiencing were actually happening."

The planes have no entertainment and I feel as though I was targeted and asked to move my seat 3 times before take off! Will not be flying Air Maroc anytime soon."

Cons: "We left late. 45 minutes late without an explanation. Then the chairs are quite uncomfortable. The crew wasn't very pleasant, except maybe one guy. There are tons of announcements in 3 languages. Then we arrived late. And as if it's 1970 we get off the plane onto the tarmac, wait for a bus that takes 15 minutes to get you to the building, which I could have walked to in the same amount of time. Then you have to go through security again for some reason. So we missed our flight. Stuck in a shitty terminal without so much as an apology or a food voucher for our 6 hour wait till the next flight. Not a good experience."

Better than in Casablanca when I went to São Paulo where flight got cancelled, no food was provided on Casablanca in 6 hours of waiting with no information. They check our passaport around 10 times, but there is no one to explain us where to go and what to do...After midnight they sent us to a hotel where we had to share a room with someone we never met before because there was not enough rooms to all of us. RAM=NEVER AGAIN!"
Pros: "The in-cabin crew service was okay. The food voucher while in transit was well managed although clarity to the process must be given. All seems to be on the hush. Unless a passenger asks he/she won't get anything."
Cons: "No arrangement for strollers and no consideration for parents traveling with kids at the Yaoundé Airport. The Yaoundé airport leadership is truly lacking and customer service is mere reference. Rudeness and unnecessary bad attitude. No coordination between the in-cabin crew and ground operation for the delivery of strollers on the side of the airplane. The signage at Casablanca Mohamed V airport needs improvement. It is very confusing for transit passengers. Almost everyone was asking for directions or where to to go next. The Casablanca airport has no arrangements for diaper change for a male traveling parent. Only one bathroom on the WHOLE terminal requiring plenty of walking"

Pros: "The flight time from FIH is great at 5am. Flight was 50% capacity, so there was a lot of room. The service was quite good."
Cons: "The food was terrible. There is no personalized entertainment at the seat, which I believe RAM is planning to retrofit their seats with eventually. Also, it's a 5am flight, which means most passengers will sleep; I believe the attendants should make it a point to close all the blinds like on other airlines, so that the passengers can have a good sleep through the sunrise. The wait time for a Marrakech connection is also way too long (6 hours). This is because of the lack of RAM flights through the day to Marrakech (3-4)."

Cons: "I'm short and had my knees bruised by the end of the 6 hour flight. Wheelchair service at JFK was rudest I've ever met. Wheel chair service at CMN did not show up. Luckily this time I was not traveling completely alone and coworkers were able to assist. Crew would not let me sleep on the plane, kept waking me to eat. I was not permitted to bring all my luggage and no alternatives were offered. My carry on was taken from me because the wheel chair person did not want to deal with me and it. I wish there was an option, but I will have to fly air Marco again."
