Cons: "I paid 450 Euro for a return 2 hour flight & I didn't get a 20kg allowance. I don't expect a check in bag on a US or European budget airline but this is the national carrier. It's the first time I've paid for a checked bag in all my years flying with different national carriers. I.e. Qantas, Air New Zealand, Singapore to name a few. All in all. Air Canada charging like a national carrier but the baggage allowance policy of a budget airline. Not good enough in my opinion."

Seats were pretty comfortable with sufficient leg room (I am tall), but if you are a wide person (or next to one) it would have been pretty cramped. Neither of my flights (to Newfoundland) were full so we all had a bit of extra space. Food was adequate but could be improved with fruit instead of dessert."

Cons: "Guy next to wanted to charge phone a laptop in USB port in front of me b/c his was our of order. This worked out OK but in a small space it's not so good. He was bare foot too. Take of your shoes but wear socks, please....Plane was not hot, actual a litter chilly."
Pros: "My mother's attendants and the flight crew were very friendly and courteous to her."
Cons: "No information or communication about bringing your own food or snacks on board. No food, snacks,entertainment or immigration forms were available. There was some food for purchase but if you didn't have a credit or debit card then you couldn't buy it. My mother was in a wheelchair waiting to board in Toronto and would have bought food to either eat there or carry on the plane but another passenger was severely reprimanded for getting out of her wheelchair and going to the bathroom, so my mother was intimidated to stay seated and not go to the bathroom nor ask any questions as to if she could go and buy some food or snack to eat while she was waiting. Only juices were served. She was flying since 11 am and arrived at 9:30 pm without any food. The website as well as all emails should inform about luggage weight as well as food and entertainment. On a layover the attendants should be more cooperative with disabled passengers and allow them to use the bathroom as well as to go and buy food."

Cons: "The lady helping us through the Toronto airport between flights made my wife cry. We had to stop to go to the restroom on the way to our gate, and the lady complained when I waited to go in after my wife came out. I told her I was going to do that, but she was apparently pre-occupied when I told her, because she was looking right at me when I said it. I then told her that I had let her know that was my plan, but she denied it, then told my wife she was just one of a hundred people. This left my wife in tears. This was a stain on an otherwise good flying experience, but it' tarnished the whole."

Cons: "One hour late leaving, no reason or information given. Food was awful with green sauce on chicken and celery bits in milk for salad, the connecting flight was cancelled and the option was another flight in two days. The only flight going later that evening was full and the next day was full also they said. An hour later a bus service was offered leaving in ten minutes which many of us raced to catch on our own with no one to show us how to get to the bus. The bus we were told to look for was the wrong bus. Of course our luggage didn't make it and that took another hour to register at our destination as every one else on the bus didn't get their luggage either. Bus driver got lost but passengers were able to show him the way. This is the third time in four flights Air Canada has lost our luggage. The worst was the NO ONE ever smiles, we were watching for it, and certainly NO ONE ever says we are sorry you are inconvenienced which would go a long way to make the delays and changes more tolerable."

Cons: "Everything. Plane was ready to leave on time but had a delay of almost an hour due to construction in Toronto. Connecting flight was held in Toronto and despite getting to gate almost an hour before departure, they changed passengers to another flight causing total delay of four hours. Air Canada staff were indifferent and uncaring. Unfortunately with no real choice in airlines to Newfoundland we are stuck with Air Canada."

I got the last of the chicken while my seatmates had to settle for the pasta. I felt guilty about this, and I was only sitting midway on the plane."
Cons: "The horrendously long lines going through security!! I am 77. My husband is 81. Standing in those very long lines was extremely fatiguing. To the point we are rethinking ever flying again. They were bad bookends to an otherwise great trip."

This caused a lot of needless stress, though to Air Canada's credit, they got all those waiting for a seat assignment on board. On my return trip, I did receive an e-mail - luckily, as the flight was overbooked again."

Cons: "The flight from Vancouver to Seattle on the 31st of July was delayed by two and a half hours, the return flight on August 5 topped that by one hour resulting in a delay of more than three and a half hours and a missed connection flight to Port Hardy. I had to stay in Vancouver over night and my husband had to pick me up in Campbell River. This meant a car drive to and back Campbell River of six hours instead of one hour to Port Hardy."

Cons: "Maple Leaf Lounge at Pearson airport was shabby. We expected a bit more than soup and gherkins, but that's all that was available, except for some dry nacho chips. No electrical outlets. Indifferent staff. Shame on Air Canada! We have visited airport lounges all over the world and this was by far the worst!"

We've never had them weighed before, including the Air Canada trip to Dublin from the states. "It's ok, they'll be there when you get there." We've been home about 24 hours and they haven't located the bags yet, so no word on when they will be sent to us. Very poor online and phone customer service."
Cons: "I find it very strange that you have to pay extra to ship a bag. Air Canada advertises that all fees are included in their fares. However you are getting hit at the back end after you make your booking. Just about everyone travels with a bag to ship. After having to Leave fort Mcmurray due to loosing our home we had to pay an extra fee to ship three bags. It does not do much for the image of Air Canada be a leader in the industry and be up front all the way."
Pros: "We left and arrived early, the seat was surprisingly comfortable (it helped that there were lots of empty seats, including next to me), my full-size carry-on fit easily in the overhead bin, despite it being a small plane, the in-flight entertainment was always on and pretty good... everything went well."
Cons: "Only the things I've grown to expect on any domestic service (e.g., no food)."
