Cons: "food could have been tastier"
Pros: "Onboard service was good -breakfast served was good."
Cons: "The seats are somewhat uncomfortable but OK for only a 1 h and 40 min flight"
Pros: "Best service, food, seats, space, amenities."
Pros: "Lots of entertainment on the plane. Very clean. I like the personal touch of a travel Bag given and large head phones."
Pros: "I have flown Turkish Air many times since 2010, and used to like the airline. Not so much anymore. I would say their entertainment center and food are pretty good."
Cons: "They used to have an affordable Economy Premium option, now all they have are seats made for someone 5’5” 150 pounds. Anyone over 6’ can and will suffer greatly. I’m 6’4” and fly many of their 12 hour flights from LAX to Istanbul and have to sit sideways, until my back aches so bad I have to turn. They also keep their planes unbearably hot, which I have no idea why, making the trip in that cramped seat horrible. Their in between meals snacks consist of cheese sandwiches, and the attendants never come around with drinks or snacks. I also fly Singapore Air and Emirates and their service is subperb!"
Cons: "Didn't happen. My first leg to Athens was canceled which created a humongous headache since it ended up canceling my return flights. Air Canada had to put me on completely new flights there and back. I think this has taught me to go directly through an airline. Justfly was not helpful. Neither was Turkish airlines."
Pros: "Great food and beverages, excellent attentive service by flight crew. Also liked the complimentary comfort pack and headphones. Will definitely use Turkish airlines again."
Cons: "Entertainment system started out great but technical issues after an hour into our 10hr flight so we we're unable to use it. The flight was full so changing seats was not an option."
Pros: "I liked food, drink, service and entertainment."
Cons: "I disliked seat, a bit."
Pros: "On the plus side, the food, service, entertainment, and comfort on Turkish are the best of any Economy class overseas flights. For that reason, they are my top pick."
Cons: "I can't understand why I was booked with an impossibly tight connection. It's a huge airport, with multiple security checkpoints with long lines. I had an hour between flights, and the first flight landed just five minutes late. The gate for the second flight had already closed by the time I cleared the first security checkpoint. It would have been completely impossible to make it to the gate on time. Turkish put me up in a hotel, etc., for the night, and there were dozens of people in similar situations. But the airline shouldn't offer connections that are totally impossible."
Pros: "The cabin crew was very kind. The kofte tasted good."
Cons: "They "board" an hour before takeoff but there weren't enough seats at the gate, so for half an hour, no one actually boarded, we just stood or sat on the floor with our carry-on."
Cons: "Of the last 4 times I've flown with Turkish Airlines, I've been asked to move from the seat I booked. If you book and choose a seat in advance of the flight, I should be entitled to keep it."
Pros: "I liked that I had knee space which made he more comfortable. There was a lot great movie options. The food was good."
Cons: "The air in the plane was smell."
Pros: "Flight attendants are super friendly and helpful. The food was excellent."
Pros: "One of the ticket agents, Diego McNuss, was especially kind and helpful when we checked in. He is a credit to the company. Also, so many special touches on the flight, like the warm wipe and the bag with the socks, etc. Also very kind flight attendants."
Cons: "Movies varaiety"
Cons: "Boarding was very annoying because when you go through security they make you feel like a total criminal for no reason. Checking our laptops as if we have something to hide. We already went through 3 security checks prior to boarding the flight. Security staff was extremely rude and inconsiderate for peoples belongings."
Pros: "The flight was smooth and almost ontime. Professional staff that was active throughout the flight assisting passengers."
Cons: "The access to the gate was through an escalator only, therefore people on wheelchair or families with strollers could not get to the gate easily."
Cons: "Turkish airlines should have accommodated the delayed flights by waiting for the passengers to make it to the gates especially if the delay was 3 minutes to catch the next flight. Then business transfer desk just gave the run around and finally rebooked me to Dubai instead of Abu Dhabi with a five hour delay"
Pros: "Crew is amazing food is good plane is clean and comfortable"
Pros: "All is good."
Pros: "Food was great."
Cons: "Long waits, poor communication, either too warm or too cold"
Pros: "Convenience and price"
Cons: "On the flight from Kabul to Instabul the tray tables were rickity and the TV screens did not work."
Pros: "Walking past the Turkish Airlines desk in Dulles and knowing I would NEVER have to interact with these monsters again."
Cons: "I am an experienced traveler. I've been to 17 countries and have flown over a million miles in both business and coach. My wife encountered a problem in Istanbul that involved an airport transit visa through Canada. I am certain that any other airline we’ve ever flown would’ve assisted us, since it was easily resolved. To Turkish Airlines, this is simply a part of their business model and a chance to make more money. It took about 8 hours of our time at 5 different airport locations to eventually buy new tickets to get back the next day. Our original tickets say: “REISSUE With 200.00 USD penalty. What I didn’t see was the fine print at the bottom: “Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change rules regarding ticket changes and refunds.”. They mean it. As bad as our personal experience was, the real reason we are so appalled is that we were there long enough to see this is the norm for them. In our single day there, we saw at least 100 other travelers going through similar things. The ONLY solution ever offered is to purchase another ticket. We witnessed several people weeping. Many losing control and shouting. Their own personnel were screaming at customers (in a separate office area though, it was all yucks and laughing). These were people of all nationalities. Africans, Asians, Europeans. We were lucky because we had the means to purchase new tickets. Others clearly didn’t. I really don’t know what happened to some of them. One moment was very symbolic of the entire experience. Another vanquished traveler was paying $843 for a new ticket with cash. He handed her $845 but she, of course, had no change. Instead of the $5, he gave her two $1 bills. I had one in my pocket so gave it to her as well. She held my $1 bill up and pointed to the corner which had a very small piece torn off…no ink was missing…and sneered “I can’t accept this. She did this simply because she could. We were powerless. She knew it and reveled in it."
Pros: "Flight attendants were friendly and made the experience more pleasurable. Food was alright, however could have been better."
Cons: "Delay in departure."
Pros: "All the staff was polit"
Pros: "Great service, great food and drinks"
Pros: "I was seated next to Hans (or maybe it was Franz, never did find out his name) the Bulgarian weightlifter. He was charming and funny and lovely to look at. You know, when I could out of the side of my eye without being TOO obvious... : )"
Cons: "That I never found out Hans' name."
Pros: "Every thing"
Cons: "poor to non existence service in economy class. all crew up front with zero crew In back."
Cons: "Boarding was chaos. Cramped seating"
Cons: "Flight was canceled and I missed all subsequent connections"
Pros: "Excellent service, staff and food. All flights ran smooth, food and beverages were great and service from the crew was beyond great. During the fight, besides the food and drinks, we had lots of entertainment and games in the tv devices. I will definitely fly with Turkish Airlines again in the future."
Cons: "My luggage just disappeared on a flight from VIE to Istanbul. Those lost baggage handlers are totally unmotivated also. No explanation at site, barely any email follow up. That's it????? Also on the way back they took away cameras. My professional camera and lens equipment was handled poorly, thrown around carelessly and the lens got damaged. I am quite unhappy with this airline"
Pros: "Business class did have their own line."
Cons: "It did not matter where you were on the flight, last row or business class, you all boarded at once. It was a big free for all. And usually business class is given a given special treatment as soon as they are seated but it was not the case. The short flights are not worth the price of the business class."
Pros: "Food was good the flight was smooth even tho is was snowing and the crew were very nice and professional, wish i could give 10 stars, also best landing ive ever been on in an airplane."
Pros: "Entertainment selection Food and beverage service"
Pros: "I enjoyed the flight to Istanbul but on the return flight they told me at the exit door of the plane that my stroller for the kids will be in baggage claim. The stroller was. It in baggage claim, the Turkish airline representative could not help or prove de a phone number for me to contact somebody indicating although she has the Turkish airlines uniform she works for swissport. 90 minutes later they said they might send the stroller to my house if found and that I may have to cover the cost as Turkish airlines will not....... terrible service terrible experience and I will never fly with Turkish airlines again"
Pros: "Staff on plane were friendly and respectful"
Cons: "Landing was rough , boarding gate is isolated from amenities"
Pros: "The crew was friendly. The entertainment package was good."
Cons: "The food was terrible. Very dry. Warm at best. The temperature of the cabin was too warm. Passengers were fanning themselves to try to cool down. Water should have been offered more frequently. The crew was noisy as they passed through the aisles, making it difficult to sleep."
Pros: "Ticket prices were reasonable, warm towel upon entry, food was edible, comfortable seats, they give you an eye mask, slippers socks, toothbrush and lip balm. Which we received on all flights except this one (all flights were international)."
Cons: "The flight attendants weren't personable on any of the flights. I'm 6 months pregnant and randomly get hungry. There are snacks like muffin available "anytime" On our long flight from Atlanta to Paris I pressed the button 3 times to see if I could get a muffin, but the attendant alert was turned off remotely and no one came to check on me. Thank God it wasn't some sort of emergency."
Pros: "I like that two meals were served, beverages were available as well as snack throughout the flight. Each seat had its own television and option to watch a movie, TV show, or listen to music."
Cons: "There were too many announcements being made when they could've combined them. It was disrupting to those watching or listening to something."
Pros: "Friendly crew excellent food"
Pros: "I liked the service and the food."
Cons: "It could have been on time flight."
