Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "Prefer PBI we use FLL when there is no flight available from or to PBI"
Pros: "Timming Was ok"
Cons: "No Food, old tv, poor confort seat"
Pros: "It was a small twin prop so there was only one cabin crew, but she was really pleasant."
Cons: "Instead of just staying on the plane we were required to deplane and take all of our luggage and haul it all through a long winding ramp and hallway into the airport. As soon as we got there, they said it was boarding immediately and we had to turn around and haul it all right back."
Pros: "The boarding was good and effective, Entertainment was good."
Cons: "The crew did not pay attention to my requests for beverages and forgot to bring me what I have asked."
Pros: "The ✈️ and timing"
Cons: "Amounts of food is ridiculously little for someone who gets hungry fast"
Pros: "Crew, seats and entertainment. Unfortunately a rude passenger in front that put their seat back too far and refused to compromise so didn’t have much leg room over a 6 hour flight."
Cons: "Ran out of half the food options halfway down the plane."
Pros: "Not much except the smooth flight."
Cons: "We were served only one drink on a four hour flight. Couldn’t find a flight attendant to get a glass a water. Had my flight attendant call button on for a long time with no response. Flight attendants walked right by while attending to other tasks and never even asked what I needed. There were a few call button lights on that never seemed to be answered. I asked for water but never received it. Rouge seems to be a very sub par airline from its Air Canada parent, as I fly Air Canada frequently and am not new at this. This airline needs to work on customer service and it’s image."
Cons: "My SAS flight (which was operated by Air Canada) was delayed by more than 2 hours. A friend who was a fellow passenger was charged for 1 piece of baggage. She should have gotten a break from the baggage fee because of the delayed departure. That's another thing. Why is it that some passengers (like my friends and I) didn't have to pay for our checked baggage, but some passengers (like my other friend) had to fork out a fee for her checked baggage? While we were waiting for our trash (after our meals) to be picked up by a lady crew member, she took so long chatting with a couple of passengers that we had to wait a few minutes before she can get our trash. By then I was dying to get to the bathroom and nearly had an accident as a result. In the future, I'll try to avoid flying with any SAS flight (operated by Air Canada) if I can help it."
Cons: "We didn't fly directly from Montreal to SFO. See above."
Pros: "Food served was excellent"
Cons: "The TV screens are very dark and hard to see"
Cons: "poor entertainment choices. Reading lights didn't work. I traveled with my wife, we were unable to read because reading lights didn't work."
Pros: "The flight to Santiago was good.. everything flowed well and there were no mess ups from air canada."
Cons: "on the way home from Santiago to Toronto, Air Canada made an error and did not check my bags al the way through to my final destination and made me go back through security and customs and re check my bags.. making it so I missed my connecting flight home and lost my job! I had to work that day and the mishap completely threw mms schedule off and costed me my job."
Pros: "Competent stewards/stewardesses"
Cons: "No meal?"
Pros: "Crew was very friendly."
Cons: "Having to pay for baggage on an international flight and no better snacks available without purchasing them."
Pros: "Pretty good flight for 11 hours. Tight spaces but the entertainment and crew were good. The cookies y'all serve with the cranberries in them are the bomb."
Cons: "The breakfast meal smells funny and not as appetizing. It's a little weird they give you Noodles in a cup ramen for a snack - all that salt."
Pros: "This flight did have in flight entertainment."
Cons: "The flight was only 2 hrs. So nothing to complain about"
Pros: "The flight was as good as it could be for a red eye."
Cons: "Had a long layover and then the fight was delayed. The food court at the airport is a mess no order and unorganized. The central bar was ok though."
Pros: "We were lucky as we were the only flights that made it out of NY that night. All other fights to Toronto and Montreal were cancelled. It was Chaos in the airport but our flight was nice."
Pros: "The plane is spacious and comfortable. The crew is quite nice."
Cons: "Air Canada overbooks their flights. So if you don't pay extra for your seat, (even if you get to the airport 3 hours in advance), they'll just tell you sorry you are on standby. Which means I literally had to stand by the gate and hope for other people to not show so I could take their seat."
Cons: "Was surprised not to have screens in the seats to watch movies on an international flight."
Pros: "Thanks for keeping us posted on the updates"
Pros: "The snack selection is excellent"
Cons: "No complaints"
Pros: "This was the absolute worst experience of my life. Out flight from Calgary to LAX was on the complete other side of the airport than our connector to San Diego. After a delay we had a short amount of time to get to the next flight. We literally were told to just cross the parking lot. Well... that ended up being a 25 minute run across the airport to only have to go thru security again. After navigating construction and parking structures we got to our gate 10 minutes late and would not be let on the flight. There was zero communication, sympathy or help from the United Airlines staff. We were told it was not their problem because we came in through Air Canada- BUT we booked through United! All in all it was an absolute nightmare that ended in us renting a car at 12am and driving back to San Diego with zero compensation from United Airlines"
Cons: "No communication between airlines! No customer service to fix their lack of planning and communication. Just terrible all around"
Cons: "Same as above. Flight delayed by 45 minutes. No explanation given as to why... no inclement weather or other issues that day."
Cons: "My flight was cancelled, re-scheduled 8 hours later. No notification on Air Canada was given. They mentioned that "this flight never existed" I had taken a day off of work to be there and I also had a meeting, however, my flight had been cancelled. Also, the costumer service representative mentioned that if I left th airport, they would not let me back in. They would do 2 security checks on me. After all of that! When I asked the check in lady at air Canada they mentioned that flight was not cancelled and not to look at the boards at the airport because they are incorrect! Horrible service. Horrible experience."
Pros: "I love Air Canada's willingness to change my flight at the last minute since there was room on the plane. It was great to get home earlier than I expected."
Cons: "The space between the row seat has become too narrow."
Pros: "Crew were nice."
Cons: "I had a window seat and there really wasn't a lot of leg room because of how the body of the plane curves. Food was ok. Not a lot of elbow room to eat."
Cons: "I am not a large person, 5'4, size 8. I was uncomfortably cramped in my seat. How do they expect normal sized humans to fit here??"
Pros: "I was really tired and the plane was full but I could nap. Baggage came quickly."
Cons: "No free meal because not technically an international flight I guess."
Pros: "I had an open seat next to me; the flight wasn't full, so I was able to stretch out more comfortably. The crew was very nice, too."
Cons: "I didn't realize I needed the app to access entertainment, and I had no way to download it when I got to the plane. I saw that a leg of my journey was on Rouge, and assumed it would be a shorter leg, not the longest. It was disappointing."
Pros: "Friendly crew. Boarding was very chaotic and our seats were originally booked together and someone needed up separate. In the end, the crew worked it out for us and we were satisfied."
Cons: "I've flown this airline a few times and the seats are pretty uncomfortable."
Pros: "In flight entertainment"
Cons: "Plane delayed by an hour without explanation. No seat selection or room for cartons due to it being oversold"
Pros: "Return flight -staff were friendly, more spaceous"
Cons: "Arrive flight to Punta cana -staff could be more corteous and friendly"
Pros: "Delay of 1-2 hours (first plane was at the wrong gate, and then technical issues) Montreal customs was very confusing, probably contributing to the overall crankiness of everyone on the flight. Purchased a beer, which was warm and disappointing, even though I knew it was a tasty beer normally."
Pros: "The in flight entertainment was great!"
Pros: "Food was really good and they passed drinks a few times as well as walking through with water. Staff was friendly"
Cons: "Not offered earphones"
Pros: "Crew was very nice and attentive to those on the flight."
Cons: "The idea to download an app before departure is ridiculous for movies. I toughed it out instead."
Pros: "Must bring your own electronic device"
Cons: "The temperature in the cabin was Frigid, even with blanket, 2 pairs of socks my coat & scarf I was freezing!"
Pros: "the snacks were ok, and the in-flight entertainment was nice"
Cons: "I had a drink spilled on me with no apology, the staff was super duper rude, the flight did not take off on time and was late getting to the connecting airport. all around it was a total mess"
Pros: "No tv working. Surprise"
Pros: "Despite departing late we made it relatively on time"
Cons: "My screen didn't work. The outlet in the seat was also broken. The connection to the Internet was weak and there was a lot of turbulence."
Pros: "The crews were okay, they tried."
Cons: "First, the plane was a 767, rode a plane of that size cross the Pacific was extremely uncomfortable. We sat inside the plane for over 2 hours because of some unknown luggage/passenger problem before taking off! I found there were no entertainment. That was the first time I flew oversea without entertainment (TV). The tightness of the seating and boredom made the trip extremely long and uncomfortable."
Pros: "We had a pretty uneventful flight from Tampa to Toronto using Air Canada. That is a good thing. The airline offers complementary juices and drinks of the nonalcoholic variety. No complaints."
Pros: "Staff are wonderful."
Cons: "Not comfortable compared to other airlines."
Pros: "Excellent and varied entertainment, very responsive crew"
Cons: "Boarding in Toronto was late, chaotic, poorly managed. Food was meagre, tiny servings of bland food for dinner, a slice of banana bread for breakfast. Hard to believe they couldn't do better."
Pros: "The selection of current movies was varied enough (the content got a little staler on the return trip). The hot food tasted good and was hot. The crew was not stingy with the drinks, which I always like even if they come around fewer times"
Cons: "How hard it is to be comfortable/sleep in the tiny seat."
Pros: "Full flight operated professionally and politely. Good range of food and drink for purchase only."
