On the long flight the crew only came by once to offer a beverage with the meal. They also only gave an extremely small cup of soda without even providing a full can. Myself and all those around me spent the flight thirsty."

Avianca forced to to travel for over 36 hours and continued to have all of my rerouted flights delayed. It was the worst travel experience of my life and i received no help or compensation for missing all of my other flights. All thy gave me was one stale muffin. I will never fly with this airline again."

Traveling first class, the seats are a little wider than in coach and have a little more leg room, but calling it "first class" is a bit of an exaggeration. I appreciate some complimentary minor snacks and drinks; it certainly helped with the delay. What would normally be sufficient seating and power outlets became people tripping over each other with delayed flights."

The board only had 1 update to my departure time, which was 30 mins after the originally scheduled time, and did not update again until 25 minutes after that second time had passed. The lounge staff did not make an announcement until after that board update and even then the information was wrong. The one time I found someone to ask a question to, I was given the same information. I had no idea why there was a delay or what to expect and no way of finding out. It made coordinating next steps upon my arrival to my destination extremely difficult. The lounge is not particularly well-equipped for multiple delayed flights."

The reason given for the delays was "there is an international pilot shortage" by a Porter gate women, meaning that Porter books more flights then it has hired Pilots. Probbaly one of the most unorganized and unprofessional business models in the industry. The lounge does not even have food for purchase, the refrigerator shelves are empty and no where to go get food. Has been an awful experience."

Porter staff said I would only be refunded the "pro-rated" fare for the leg that was canceled. This makes no sense as I had to buy my own ticket home from another airline and I didn't get to pay a "pro-rated" fare because I was halfway home. They also put us up in an extremely sketchy hotel that was unsafe, unclean and had an active prostitution ring going on."

Cons: "I have travel with WestJet many times is the past and had nothing but good to say. This was my first time using WestJet Encore and was totally shocked and disappointed. The flight crew i found to be very rude with and had an attitude. The biggest shock was the greetings and all announcements were in English accept the safety rules where the pre-recorded tape was played. If asked about the return flight from Halifax to Montreal, one word to describe it "disaster". I was totally turned off with WestJet. I will for sure continue using Porter as I was always pleased with there service. As they say "you get what you pay for"."

Cons: "We were delayed 45 minutes without reason, we asked to have our flights switched as we were nervous of missing our connecting flight and were told we could not switch. While we were waiting on the runway for over an hour I asked our flight attendant to check on the status of our connecting flight and she basically told us to hope for the best and that we would have to deal with it when we arrived in Toronto"
Cons: "Flight was cancelled then rescheduled on a flight that was over an hour delayed. We almost lost our connection to Hong Kong as a result. Made for a very stressful journey with 77 year old parent and 8 years old child long waiting/ tiring time and running to gate our flight."
Pros: "Boarding agents were welcoming and helpful. They offer to take an earlier flight. Check-in process fast and easy. They delayed the connection in Toronto, so We did not miss our flight."
Cons: "We had to wait about 2 hours in the plane before take off and 30 min. after landing because of weather and a lack of efficient communication. That was a very frustrating and exhausting flight. Not enough space and on westjet connect on board."

Cons: "1.I did not like the flight crew announcing how great they (the crew) were at the start of announcements before take-off ---- If you are great, don't tell us, act like it - I found both crew members hardly engaging, one was sullen. 2. PA system was a little hard to understand anyway. Crew member should have put volume up and made sure was loud enough , but just seemed like wanted to use a 'cute' half french/half english accent to speak in. 3. Also this flight 3535 on Dec 21 Mtl- Toronto made me nervous although I fly often. Most nervous I have been because pilot took time to gain altitude after take off, and when landing had to accelerate then decelerate a number of times. Landing was (with 2 km/hr winds i.e. not much wind) almost on one wheel. 4. Food does not have to be so cheap e.g. sweet snack bar? Please bring back an assortment of nuts as they are at least nutritious. Thank you for reading."

Our take off was delayed due to some guests having gotten their luggage put on the airline, but never showing up to the actual flight, so the crew was required to take off said luggage. Normally, this would be a frustrating experience, but they kept us updated throughout the process-- it felt like they actually cared. Crew was incredibly kind throughout the entire flight. Truly the best experience flying I have ever had."

Cons: "I added a quick trip to Austria while I was in Europe and timed it so I would fly back to London and then back to LA on the same day. London had a huge wind storm on 10/21 so my flight from Austria landed 1 hour late, with that I missed my London-LAX flight on BA (that I purchased via Kayak). The BA agents tried to help me but were not able to use my Kayak ticket to re-book me or at least recover some of my investment. There was no phone number provided on my reservation and after an hour of trying to help me, they said I have to buy a brand new ticket. The cost for my return and my seat reservation both were lost and my new ticket was $1,600 (and I had to spend the night in a hotel at Heathrow as at that point all US flights left for the day). I usually book directly with the airlines because I want to avoid situations like this, so it is too bad that the one time I come to Kayak I end up having to buy a new ticket that was twice as expensive as the original one.
