This makes the seat narrower and quite tight for sized large people. 5 hours is a long time to sit in an uncomfortable seat. It did not compensate for the slightly longer leg room."

On my flight back from Seattle on Delta, we got a complimentary meal AND a complimentary snack. I was expecting my Alaskan flight to be better based on everything I'd heard from friends, but my return Delta flight showed Alaska up; it was a spacier plane with way more food offered."

Cons: "where should i start? my flight was delayed leaving NC to ATL. after standing in line for over an hr trying to speak to someone about the issue. i was notified on my phone i could keep my current flight or rebook of course i wanted to keep my current flight since it was my birthday weekend. i then called delta (in nc) for help since they told us we wouldnt make our 1030 flight and we might have to stay in a hotel that night until we could rebook the flight. not cool! i was told by a person (in nc)about what i should do once landed in ATL. they were beyond rude. they turned their backs or gave half answers. when asked about the hotel for the night they told me they werent going to handle that and i had to pay for a hotel AFTER i was just told by a delta agent that if i had to stay overnight my hotel was going to be covered. i then again called a delta agent in ATL after being informed that my status on the stand by list wasnt activated and i had less than 10 mins to make it to the next terminal and try to get activated and i would probably not get onto that flight to leave ATL. we were told that we had to stay in the terminal that night. my whole trip could have been ruined from the start from the flight being delayed in NC to talking to rude delta agents in NC and ATL. my flight status being one thing and then finding out it was something else. i never had to deal with something like this."

But, when we landed, as passengers were trying to get off of the plane, the attendants were putting all of the collected luggage at the entry to the jetway. It created congestion. Then, anyone who had luggage, had to lineup against the side of the jetway, awaiting their luggage, and increasing the congestion. First, it was inconvenient. Worse, if there was any kind of emergency, I believe it would have created a unsafe environment. Very Poor Design & Process ! ! !"

Cons: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."

On board, if you didn't buy into Delta's classist system of paying for an "extra comfort" seat (which, by the way, is a regular seat), you were seated in a tiny shoved in extra row where even my 8 year old's knees bumped the seat in front of us while seated. I will never fly Delta again, particularly with them being one of the priciest options."

Was not advised to try standby on other later flights, which worked. Finally landing in BOS, we sat for 45+ min waiting for a third person to flag the plan to the gate. Understand why, but really annoying after such a long day full of delays. Felt many areas could have been handled better. Each person individually tried, but in aggregate it was a mess."

Not the fault of the airline of course, but if there was a bit more leg room, it would have been a less claustrophobic trip. I used to fly a lot back in the 70s and early 80s and I don't remember ever being so uncomfortable. I have another trip flying back home at the end of the week, and, quite frankly I'm dreading it. Also, it was impossible to hear the captain's address, the on-board instructions, or various other announcements, in the airport and on the plane. Especially on the plane; the speakers were far too quiet to hear anything the captain said other than it was a nice day."

It never made it on the flight and won't be until the following morning. So I have no clothes. No jacket for sub zero temperatures. It would great if they could at least tell us that there will be a problem. Not lie I'm not impressed. I'll do my best not to fly westjet again."

Wasn't overly impressed with this airline. Also getting your itenairy online was also difficult. I had to change email information and call customer service which was in Spanish not English language. Then while lining up at the airport to process and check bags there was no computer to self serve and get through the line up faster and efficiently. The main clerk that helps with the line up was rude to passengers. Stating that on a domestic flight you need to be 2 hours ahead of boarding. Which most of us were a good 90 minutes to pre boarding. All of the struggles can be avoided with self serve check-in and prepaid bag check. The flight and crew were friendly and pleasant."

After five minutes no one came so I went to the assistance desk and they said they hadn't been informed so they sent someone right away. If I hadn't been there to ask, I don't know how long my mom and dad would have sat there. 2. The man who wheeled my dad to the gate was very nice and he said he arranged for all of us to sit together, which was nice because I wasn't able to sit with my parents since we weren't able to choose the same row when we booked. When we boarded, we found out that the seats hadn't been changed, and the person who previously booked the seat beside my parents refused to move so I sat in the row beside them. These problems were minor but they highlighted a lack of communication between staff and the attendant dealing with us wasn't the most friendly either. I used to fly westjet in the early days when I still lived in Canada and I've noticed that the level of service has gone down. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity and space to comment. Cons: "I traveled from Vancouver to Edmonton today on WS 320 and one of my luggage was delayed. I had to wait through many phone call queues to get in contact with an agent and none of them were very useful. I was informed that my baggage would arrive in Edmonton at 5pm and be contacted to arrange delivery options but I had not heard anything from them and it is already past 8pm. I had to stay at home to wait for the phone call which resulted me in canceling my evening plans. The luggage contains frozen home made goods and various food items I brought back from my recent trip to Taiwan. With the food not being in a freezer for over 12 hours at this point they've likely all gone bad. I am extremely displeased with the bagging service especially when I had PAID to get my bags checked. I was told that packing food in checked bags comes with a risk and is a game but everything in life is a risk and I find that excuse from an agent very unacceptable. I am also very upset that WestJet does not offer compensation for food damages because the foods in my luggage are definitely worth over $200 and some are not obtainable in Canada."

Cons: "I was given a ticket with the seat 3A (one of the plus seats); I didn't ask for it or pay for it, I just got that seat when I was checking. After I found out it was a plus seat, I acknowledged to nearby the flight attendants and nearby passengers I didn't pay for this, that there was a mistake, and I could move if there was someone who did pay for it. What I received from the flight attendants are accusatory remarks/comments about how shouldn't be there because I didn't pay for it (after I acknowledged this before anyone even had an issue about it) and passive excuses that didn't make much sense when I asked them why there ws this issue in the first place. I was fine with moving seats from what I was initially assigned to, I was fine with being moved twice thereafter (first moving to 21E, then to 23E). What I was not fine with was 1. the accusatory tone by the flight attendants that I tried to take someone else's seat 2. even though I was given the seat by the person at the check-in desk when I didn't even ask for it and 3. after I was the one who initially brought up this issue in the first place and was willing to changet seats with he rightful passenger. Please learn to take responibility for your actions and mistakes and errors rather than blaming it on a passenger who just wants a safe flight home. Thanks."

Unfortunately, the plane arrived in Edmonton 30 minutes late, and rather than wait 5 minutes for the passengers to disembark from the Toronto plane and board the Abbotsford plane, WestJet decided to leave all those passengers behind. There were no other flights available until the evening, and we were stuck for 8 hours at the Edmonton Airport before we were finally given a flight to Abbotsford. Never again will I book with WestJet."

Our plane left 45 minutes late from Phoenix because of a gas spill so when we got to Vancouver from Phoenix, we had to go through customs which took extra time. When we first landed in Vancouver and before we even got off the plane, we had 5 minutes to board onto our next flight which obviously was not going to happen. We rushed through customs and still might have been able to board our flight at the last possible minute except the staff at the airport led us to somehow get out of the secure area and have to go through security again before going to our gate. That took so much extra time. This never should have happened. When you get off the plane and have a connecting flight, there is always a way to get to the gate to board without having to go through security again. When we finally made it to our gate for our connecting flight, our plane had left and we were told to go to the air canada service desk. There was about 10 to 15 of us that had missed our connecting flight because of this so the 2 staff at the desk were trying to help us all but had to wait for their manager to come and confirm they could give us another flight which took quite a bit longer than I thought. We ended up getting booked on standby on a flight straight from Vancouver to Saskatoon in 2 hours which was our final destination, but never was told that because of all this headache, we should have grabbed our luggage. We thought our luggage was going to go on without us on the flight we missed but apparently if you do not get on your flight they don’t send your bags which makes sense. We also had thought for a second that maybe our luggage didn’t go on the flight from Vancouver to Calgary but if it didn’t then someone would most likely put it on the flight to Saskatoon. We should have asked about it but they should also have mentioned it when we were in a panic. And I understand you can’t put extra people on a flight that is booked, but what if the plane we were on standby for was full and we had to wait even longer .. could have taken us a day to get home when this wasn’t our fault we missed our flight, but was air Canada’s."

After a confusing conversation from the officer not understanding that I was not travelling to France ( assumption) I was asked to show evidence I had the right to enter UK !!!! I explained I lived there permanently ; I was then asked why French hate English so much!!! To which I explained only narrow minded people would believe so and that the style of her comment were not appropriate . I explained my children were half French half British and that her comment was offensive ."

Pros: "The whole experience from boarding to landing was great. Zone 2 boarding is one of the first called and the premium economy section has larger seats that recline more and don't affect the person behind as much. Food was decent and serve on a ceramic plate with real silver wear. On demand entertainment was adequate with a number of recent titles and even audiobook options."
Cons: "The section was set up in a 2-3-2 seat configuration and I booked the middle 3, but were given 2 in the middle and one one the left aisle. One of the middle seats was left open for the pilot to come back and watch movies during the flight. When I asked the attendant if we could swap the left aisle with the "pilot's" the attendant made it seem like it was a bigger deal but eventually asked the pilot who said he didn't mind. After all, it was just changing one empty seat to the other side of the aisle."

Pros: "I flew roundtrip to Japan on Air Canada business class. Buying a ticket late, I noticed it was only $500 or so more for business class. We did have to touchdown in Canada coming and going, but short and efficient hops. On the way back, it probably saved time because we were cleared in Canada so arriving back in Philly was like a domestic flight. Great Food and service. The trip to Japan on their new Dreamliner business class featured an amazingly designed pod - super comfortable, lay flat for sleeping, But has good layout and table space if I had wanted to work on laptop. Thumbs up!"

A new boarding pass was printed for the next flight and she assured me that my checked luggage would accompany me from Toronto to Calgary. They also printed a boarding pass for my next flight to Lethbridge. On arrival in Calgary flight personnel ask all patrons to remain seated to allow those of us who had a connecting flight to depart first. I certainly appreciated this kind suggestion and it allowed me more time to reach my next departure gate."

Cons: "The seats we were sitting in were uncomfortable. There seemed to be a ridge near the back of the seat cushion and it was very uncomfortable for the entire trip."
Cons: "There was a build-up of delays for domestic flights, namely from Toronto to Edmonton, Ottawa and Calgary (the ones I heard). I was on the Toronto to Calgary flight, which was supposedly delayed from 16:45 till 18:55 EST, but the actual boarding time was closer to 19:45 EST. Once all the passengers were boarded, the crew informed us that the pilot was missing. Another 20 minutes went by before he was located, at which point we were informed that the first mate was missing as well. By the time the pilot and first mate were both on the aircraft, it took another 30 minutes for them to get the aircraft ready. My flight from Toronto to Calgary was supposed to arrive at 19:40 MDT, the actual arrival time was 23:00 MDT. As a passenger, I am annoyed to say the least."

I think if your a certian size you should have to buy a seat with more room instead of make everyone else uncomfortable. The food was almost inedible, and there wasn't much more than chips or chocolate bars to pick up in That section of the Airport before flying out :( Entertainment choices were excellent though!"

Our plane finally got off the ground at 8:30 PM!"

I was told that I could delay a day and fly the same route the next day, or fly to Toronto, stay there a night paid by Air Canada. Was advised to stay at Toronto since the flight from RDU to Toronto delay excessively with high frequency (and it was delayed 6+ hour the next day). Flied to Toronto, was shuffled through different lines without getting anything. At 10:40PM, after arrived 1 hour 40+ minutes, sent to a line with more than 100 people in front of me..... :-( It's a horrible experience!!!!!!!!!"
Pros: "The service was excellent. Our flight into Calgary was delayed due to bad weather in Newark so we missed our connecting flight. Because of this, the airline payed for our hotel room and for a portion of our meals. Everyone was so helpful and kind when it came to answering our questions and helping us make our experience an easier one."

They did not call for the wheelchair at arrival nor was there an attendant att arrival to push the chair up the ramp."

Cons: "The boarding crew did a poor job of giving direction. In spite of the fact that boarding by zone was not specified, I was reprimanded by staff for boarding when I did. I found it very disrespectful that the staff reprimanded me for their own error. When I pointed out that they had not called a zone the ground staff lied and said they had called the zone. I strongly recommend staff receive remedial customer service training. This was an incredibly negative experience - not to mention undermined the otherwise decent experience that the Air Canada flight team provided."

Cons: "Calgary Airport was DREADFUL!!!! The long lineups for Customs & Immigration actually caused me to miss my next flight, even though the Frankfurt flight was early and I had over 90 minutes between flights. Several passengers were expressing concerns about missing their connection, but the staff just shrugged and made everybody wait in line without even trying to organize matters. I spent well over an hour waiting for my passport to be stamped and when I finally got through and tried to locate my suitcase (which was MIA), my next flight was closed. At least my suitcase will be delivered to our home, which is a slight relief."

Cons: "The flight was chaneed gates and not announced that it had been done, we just noticed that it had been reassigned. Not a big deal but it was a 10 minute walk to the new gate and could have resulted in a missed flight if we hadn't been paying attention. The flight was also delayed over an hour and still listed as an on time boarding for the original boarding time, people can make choices about eating or restroom breaks if they know they have an extra hour, also when travelling with a toddler it helps with planning feedings and naps so that the baby doesn't scream the whole flight."

I was seated at the window and I had lost my compression socks on the flight just a couple days before so I wanted to be able to get up and stand without climbing over a passenger. Since I am over 60 years of age, I asked if there was an opportunity in the very back to have an empty seat next to me. Me did find me one and I TOTALLY appreciated it. I used to have the status to have the better seats and it was hard to lose that...this was wonderful. Thanks for making me feel valued."

Very frustrating!!"

The front desk agents at the United Club in EWR were aggressively officious with a lot of the guests that day as well. Overall, customer service was very poor, even though the attendant on the flight were quite nice to me and gave me great service."

I asked for a blanket and the flight attendant said they were for first class only. He did then get me one and said "I had one left." Obviously a lie... but I was grateful for the blanket at that point because I was very cold. Other than that it was a fine flight and check-in was a breeze online."

I would have missed my flight if the gentleman boarding people hadn't noticed and woke me up to ask if I should be on the flight. I was out so deeply that I hadn't heard any announcements. There wasn't any food on the three flights but a cookie waffle thing and that was all I had during the 13ish hours I was on planes. The staff was super awesome and nice. Space wasn't any different than other planes, but tight on the first flight. I got lucky on the last two."

Truly their suitcase not paid for is the same as mine paid for. Difference is the inconvenience of having to keep my hand luggage at my feet because of the larger pieces filled by passengers in group 1, 2, and 3 over my designated seat area."

Cons: "as short as the flight was, there were a few disturbances. first, the two kids behind me were off the wall. it wasn't a baby crying, they had to be 5 and 7 just screaming and being so loud when their parents just laughed. at 8pm It would have been nice for a crew to quiet them down. second, there was a disturbance by a woman who had to be escorted off the plane which caused us to sit not knowing anything going on for the extra 20 minutes on the runway. I'm so glad they got her off for our safety but we were in the dark about the situation. And United, you need to up your snacks."
