Cons: "The 5 hours waiting time at the Toronto airport. It really was hard to endure."
Cons: "AC was late causing a missed connection to YXE. They were unable to rebook us to Saskatoon for two or three days! They offered standby or Edmonton as our only options. We flew to Edmontonand then drove 6 hours in order to get home for work with no sleep. Unimpressed."
Pros: "Flight and crew were good . Not even peanuts or pretzels served , sat on plane for 5.5 hours ."
Cons: "Air Canada customer service on ground is horrible .my original flight I booked for my son’s wedding was cancelled and I was told they will put me on another flight a day later or I could get a refund.... not professional , not caring ."
Pros: "The flight crew went the extra mile to give good service. There were plenty of meals and snacks throughout the trip."
Cons: "The bathrooms are cramped, they are clean however. Seats are also very close together, others must get out if you are in a middle or window seat."
Pros: "The crew helped assist me with my mom... she was in a wheelchair and I had our carry on bags. The flight attendants were very nice"
Cons: "The entertainment was very old..... old movies, old shows, I just slept and listened to my own music."
Pros: "There was some csr that assisted us however."
Cons: "Most csr didn’t care our flight was cancelled. The communication internally was slow. Found out from my app. When asking info at counter they were rude and came off as they didn’t car"
Pros: "I was able to change my flight to an earlier one saving me from having to wait 6 hours. I did not have to pay extra for changing my flight."
Pros: "I liked everything. The crew was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent."
Pros: "Boarding was excellent, most of the staff except one was excellent. The flight was smooth. Got hooked on a new series that I started watching on the plane."
Cons: "The wait time between flights on the way home was brutal but you expect that if you are flying on points. What made it worse was that I had to leave the secure area and collect my bags then wait 8 hours in the airport only to go through security again. On top of that trying to get my baggage tag there was a female agent that should have retired 100 years ago directing people like it was our fault she still had to work. If you can't be nice you should not be in customer service."
Cons: "I can't take the flight and I can't get my money back. It is horrible"
Pros: "I liked how they provided beverages"
Cons: "the seats were too close together, the staff seemed a bit unprofessional, and the big one for me was having to buy ear phones to be able to watch a movie... seriously?"
Cons: "the entertainment system on this leg of the flight didn't work at all! Give me a break!"
Pros: "the app so you can choose your own movies"
Cons: "very crowded. snacks werent very good or healthy"
Cons: "i booked the flight in january and keyed in my passport expiration date several times online in the next several months...at the airport, i handed the air canada agent in miami my passport and she booked me and a checked bag through toronto to copenhagen...i went to board my connecting flight in toronto and was told my passport, which expires at the end of august, was no good as i needed to have 3 month left...so they refused to let me board and told me to go see customer service...so i go stand in line for several hours (was only one agent for the first 45 minutes and 10 people in front of me)...one woman going down the line to see what each person's issue was told me that it was my problem, not AC's...and that "we are only responsible for making sure your passport is valid for getting into canada"...i was on my own to find a hotel and a new flight...fortunately a supervisor saw me standing in a daze several minutes later and said that it was AC's mistake for not catching it in miami...so she booked me into a hotel, gave me the address to the US consulate and instructions on how to get an emergency passport...she said that it would be no problem as "this happens all the time"and went ahead and booked me on the next day's flight...so i was able to spend the next day getting the new passport and getting back to the airport to fly out that night, but i lost a day in copenhagen with my family...it seems to me that when flights are booked and passport info, including expiration date, are given, a simple cross check of dates would be easy, and, imho, incumbent upon the carrier taking you there, especially when "it happens all the time"...this was not done on 4 occasions between booking and my trip...there were other issues too which is why i will never fly air canada again and i will never travel though toronto...the return trip through that airport was a nightmare for many passengers."
Pros: "The flight got me to my destination."
Cons: "Cramped seating."
Pros: "I didn't like anything."
Cons: "I was stuck in immigration for about an hour. The screening process at this airport is so laborious. You have to wait on a bench until they call your name and they don't care if your flight is about to be boarding. I understand that immigration is necessary but they could at least have people form a queue instead of having us wait for our names to be called. I told them that my flight would be boarding in 25 minutes and they told me "Oh, don't worry, they'll just put you on the next flight". But when I got to my airline to check in, they charged me $150. I needed that $150 to pay some bills when I got back home."
Pros: "I got an aisle seat"
Cons: "Unable to use washroom as both units on our aisle were disabled. When crossing the walkway to get to the washroom on the other side, one customer sitting on that row said we cannot pass. She even stretched out her leg to touch the wall in front in order to block passages. She must also be upset as a result of the disabled washrooms. Food was really sub standard. Breakfast was a so called chicken sandwich that looks like a cherry pie from McDonald. I got water spilled over me when water was poured for my neighbor customer. My jacket, pants and even right sock were all wet Crew did not apologize even when I asked for napkins to help dry my clothes. Very unprofessional. He should have used a tray to hold the cup when he"
Pros: "The price was good and connections were well-timed, and my seat-mate was a nice guy!"
Cons: "There was no food on a 5-hr international flight, the video screen didn't work well, and the flight attendant was having a rough day. And we took off at least 30 minutes late due to a couple of technical issues."
Cons: "Ground staff allowed drunbk woman to board, air crew didn't want to take her.. eventually she had to be thrown off before takeoff and that delayed us another hour."
Pros: "It was excellent"
Cons: "Four hours of delays."
Pros: "Overall smooth flight"
Cons: "Sits are a little cramped"
Cons: "Everything. Crowded. Cramped. The curtain between First Class and Economy was archaic and insulting. On my departure flight, I had the unfortunate row that divided the elite from the peasants. IIt enabled me to see how the staff fawned over the Elite while we waited for minimal attention."
Cons: "Unhelpful crew, dreadful entertainment and dire food!"
Pros: "Flight attendants were friendly and considerate. Food was satisfactory and timed appropriately. Entertainment device worked and offered adequate variety. The aircraft itself was clean and comfortable. It was not overly air-conditioned as aircraft tend to be."
Cons: "Boarding was slow and confusing: verbal instructions conflicted with posted signs, and it was hard to choose the right lines. Arrival in Canada was a nightmare! Customs and security were confusing, inefficient, and staffed by people who had little patience. There was much yelling and running around., there appeared to be little sympathy or concern for the dozens of passengers who were attempting to make connecting flights, and it was ridiculous to announce that security closed at 9p.m. .when there were planes on the runway awaiting connecting passengers and people with boarding passes who were not allowed to catch their flights."
Pros: "This flight was so much better than my nice to Montreal flight. It seems like nicer planes should be used for international flights."
Cons: "It'd be nice to have snack and blanket included on a 5 hour flight. We paid $6 for the cheapest blanket ever so my daughter could nap."
Cons: "Kayak did not allow us to reserve seats, and the seats we received were not together, even though we purchased the seats six months in advance. My seat was at the front facing rear wards, with a non-tilting seat and little foot room."
Pros: "There was an excellent agent during boarding. I didn't catch his name but he was a tall dark skin gentlemen and he went over and beyond to assit me. His kindness left a lasting impression on me. I only wish I had his name, because he deserves to be noticed for his excellent service."
Pros: "organized crew & good service"
Cons: "there was no check in luggage with the ticket, I have to pay for both my check in luggage while flying back from Toronto to Saskatoon. Atleast one check in luggage should be there."
Cons: "There was 3 hour delay on the first flight, that made me miss my connecting flight then they booked another flight which was not a direct flight but with an additional stop. I reached Toronto 7 hours later than my original landing time"
Pros: "it is on time no hassle every things is smooth"
Cons: "Flight out of Newark delayed so we were going to miss the connection. We were rebooked to fly via London but we lost 6 hours in Rome. Air Canada attendant at Newark said the flight was always delayed and passengers regularly needed to be rebooked. You should recommend air Canada cancels selling this itinerary or bringing the Newark flight forward to de risk any delays"
Pros: "787 is super comfortable and quiet aircraft. Decent service."
Cons: "Lack of coffee while seat-belt sign turned on - there wasn't even any significant bumping in the aircraft - certainly could have served coffee without issue. I know this is a "safety policy" but sometimes we should objectively leave lawyers out of the equation in terms of service provided."
Cons: "The system from the beginning was so unorganised ...went 2 hrs earlier even after online check in and it said u need to be there just an hour ..still had to run till the end.. Seat was so uncomfortable ..to add to the agony my luggage didn't arrive and had to wait till evening"
Cons: "Video screen was not working both times. And was charged for check in bag. $25. I didnt get it why i was charged even after paying $510 for a flight. I did web checking for inbound flight n had to pay $25 again. Not happy with that at all."
Pros: "I really enjoyed the plane. It had comfortable seats and was very roomy. There was complimentary dinner and breakfast service, both of which were delicious."
Cons: "About 80% of my flight consisted of noisy Spanish high-school erst returning from some trip in Canada. They were loud and obnoxious and ruin the peace on the plane. This was an overnight flight and they ruined any chances of falling asleep. The problem came from the fact that the flight attendants could keep them under control. They, in turn, got annoyed and gave generally subpar and unpleasant service."
Pros: "the whole process was great. staff at the airport and in flight were all friendly and helpful."
Pros: "Not much. Pilots did a good job and stewards on flight were pleasant."
Cons: "The process of going through Customs in Canada stinks! We were herded like cattle in one line, all these people from many flights. Process long and tedious and then people with later flights being processed before others nearly caused us to miss our flight. After nearly 9 hours on previous flight! Not good and then not even a decent snack. I am thankful that the crew waited for us but I didn't know this until I tried to find my gate which had been changed and heard the final boarding call. Also my traveling friends and I were separated and they almost left without me. Awful situation!! Also crew on ground couldn't or wouldn't explain what was going on so kept in the dark until you actually got to next step. Would have been nice to explain what was going on!"
Pros: "Quick non stop flight from Vancouver to Calgary. Has to change my flight last minute and wasn't charged for doing that. That on its own was a relief and great surprise."
Cons: "The plan was hot - no AC it was hard to sit through. The snacks on Air Canada flights get worse and worse every year. Pay more get less."
Cons: "Worst customer service. They closed the check in line as we stood there and than asked us to book another 3000$ flight!"
Pros: "Wide seats."
Cons: "Small leg space. No window by seat. The seating map did not make this known, otherwise I would have chosen another seat."
Pros: "On time with nice crew"
Cons: "Boarding a bit of a mess"
