Without sale of open seat, the only way for Alaska to capitalize on that seat is to allow someone else to have a more positive flight experience with more personal space, so honestly she shouldn't have been rude. Tomato juice was hot from being outside, normally cool even without ice. Snack was fine, but minimal and snack boxes not available on short flight, so less stars for that. Entertainment nonexistent - film/tv access not available in flight without something in mobile device that was not explained, no plugs for charging."

Cons: "When we got to the gate 3 hours early, we ordered a wheel chair for my wine to board the plane as soon as the first gate personnel arrived. At boarding time the clueless person who brought the wheel chair for us gave it to a 20 something man with a foot in a cast and crutches while my 71 year old wife had to wait until another wheelchair could be brought. The irony is that two wheelchairs were there until just. Edited boarding time and both were taken away."

Luckily I was able to get a paper boarding pass from the boarding desk. If I had not looked previously on my phone-I would have been delayed. Learning lesson on my part. Check in at airport too!"

A half hour later I realized the wifi doesn't actually work, so I missed out on renting your tablets to watch something. I think there should be a less confusing system. Thankfully others on my flight were also late so the Ottawa bound plane did not leave on time"

We finally deplaned and waited for a new plane. Got to Kona at 2:00am. The air temp was warm the entire flight. Had to endure a grumpy crew. Not the best flying experience. I know you can do better. Maybe look at how Hawaiian airlines does it and you might get some inspiration on how to improve."

Cons: "When tavelling with a child, which is always identified at the time of booking by providing child's age, every other airline was able to accommodate seating together. Even at the lowest fare class. Not Westjet, their automatic computer seating assignment gave us seats in separate rows !! When asked at the checkin and also again at the gate, we were told that the fare class that we paid for does not allow seat changes. They simply would not seat a parent and a child together unless we paid extra $25/person to change seats. This kind of gauging for money was shocking. Especially when there were 3 other rows behind us with free seats together !! This was clearly a case of wanting more money. At the lowest fare class parents travelling with children can expect the child to be sitting separately from them. Or pay up more."

Cons: "We were heckled by gate crew about whether my dog’s carrier was too small for him. Many suggestions were made that we were subjecting him to animal cruelty, and that we were abusive to him. He’s 7lbs, so he can’t be much smaller a dog, and his carrier it turns out, doesn’t fit under WestJet seats, despite being within carry-on luggage dimension limits (their life jackets take up most of the legroom), and thus could not be any bigger. Did they want me to have a smaller dog, or a Euclidean space-defying carrier? I suppose they were suggesting that taking a dog aboard WestJet is abusive, because they certainly don’t provide adequate space for anything larger than a hamster, they hassle you about it, and they charge you $50 for the fun of it. One agent had the nerve to reach into his carrier without permission, unannounced, and invade his personal space, him being a rescue and very anxious."

The app was free and easy to use and there was a decent selection. However, the wifi on board is not free so even though you could watch the tv show/movie - the sound did not work unless you paid for it. There are many other airlines that offers everything for free - it would have been a more pleasant if we were able to actually utilize the service."

I reached the airport only to find out that the booking was cancelled by Opodo though I received an email from Opodo 24 hours before advising me to check in on the flight. As I was busy with some construction work at home I thought I would check in at the airport. Opodo advisors were not helpful on the phone and I ended up missing a family get together due to their incompatibility."

Cons: "The seats were fairly narrow and I had the unfortunate luck of having a mechanical box at foot space taking away half of it. (on the previous flight there was no box and foot space was fine). On this journey I was sitting on the aisle being constantly bumped by the crew moving up and down the aisles. I’m not a big person and wasn’t in the aisle however, on the aisle opposite me was a bigger person. The crew were constantly moving to avoid that person and hitting me. Expect tight seating and narrow aisles."

Pros: "Like that we can check a bag and get free meal in economy on transatlantic flights. Good staff and nice plane."
Cons: "Add water coffee tea gratis on short haul inter-Europe flights."

Pros: "First experience flying business class -- and Aer Lingus has it down to a science! Great food (maybe too much actually!), friendly attendants, great service -- and the most wonderful pods that allow you to lay out flat for a snooze, complete with duvets and pillows."

Cons: "Flight left late and landed over 45 minutes late. No support for those that were left late for connections and no allowing those to de-board first. No Aer Lingus staff in the airport when the luggage screw up from Madrid was discovered."

Pros: "Having had bad experiences with Aer Lingus before, I was hesitant to book with Aer Lingus again. But sadly, I was booking this flight last minute and had no other option. The route was Dublin to Calgary, via Toronto. I left myself plenty of time im Toronto to clear customs as I know it can take a while. The day of, the flight ended up being 1.5 hours longer than usual due to headwinds, leaving me with only 2.5 hours in Toronto. I ended up waiting 2 hours and 15 minutes for my bag and missing my connecting flight (my sister who was also on the same flight received hers in 30 mins and made the flight). Westjet was wonderful and put me on a later flight but Aer Lingus didn't have any assistance for me."
Cons: "Aer Lingus lost my sister's luggage going to Ireland and never contacted my sister once the luggage was found. She only received it the day we flew back to Calgary. Poor customer service when inquiring about the bag, no compensation for necessities purchased."

Pros: "They really did a great job, kept us informed about what was going on,staff was quick, organized and pleasant. I have to say, best food on a flight that I have had in a very LONG time,!"

Only those offered by the airline and the sky da was awful!! The seats were small and not comfortable! The tv screen wasn't responding to the fingers, had to use the remote!! Everything was not nice at all. The stewardess and steward were not pleasant, it looked like they didn't want to be there or they were bother!! I will never fly again either British or Aer Lingos."

Really, Onion on an airplane? 6 hours later and I can still smell onion after a breath mint and mint gum! And I only ate a couple.... May I suggest selling a more neutral smelling flavor?"

We were told that the flight we were supposed to be on was full and there was no flights until the next morning. To top it off Air Canada could not locate our baggage and we were told to wait around and check back every half hour. If was past two in the morning Dublin time and our kids were exhausted and fell esleep in the airport. We could not wait around any longer with exhausted children so we booked a hotel and took our kids there without our luggage. Our kids were crying because our baggage was lost and thus was a shitty way to end our vacation and my birthday! Would not recommend flying with Aer Lingus or Air Canada. Horrible service."

Cons: "Since I booked with vayama, through kayak, aerlingus wouldn't give me more than basic flight info. I didn't even know if my seats were confirmed, which they weren't on the connecting flight with JetBlue airlines. The website said to contact vayama, vayam said contact the airline. Our bags were not checked through to our destination so we had to collect them in New York. They are supposedly partner airlines but told us we had no choice and had to wait till aerlingus opened customer service. We were stuck for 7 hours outside of security with our bags and 1 Duncan donuts kiosk. The 12 hr overall layover was bad enough without that. I understand that booking through discount sites comes with its own cost, but you should know if you have assigned seats and that your baggage will make it."

Pros: "Absolutely nothing wrong happened on the flight, and that's good"

Cons: "Was supposed to depart at 850 pm on 15 Nov from Orlando Boarded plane on time then sat on aircraft for 2 hrs due to machanical issues. Was the deboarded and spent 2 hrs wanted for a hotel voucher. Asked to be placed on a different flight due to active duty military status and was given no help. Was not offered to fly on a different airline.. was instead asked if i had looked into getting another flight which if i am correct should be something they should have doing to ensure that i would return to duty on time.. Mind you i was flying with a small child and bussiness class was more important than women with small children or families period. When i was able to catch the flight the following day i didnt not recieve notification that this flight was delayed as well. To top it off this was a red eye flight and they kept the lights on in the cabin and many people were unable to sleep. Due to the flight being delayed i and my small child had to run across dublin international to catch or connecting flight. We made it however our luggage did not. I will not be using this airline again. I would rather spend a little extra money."

Never flying or booking a flight with American Airlines at all. Kayak couldn't even help with accommodations. Southwest is the only company that will actually hold those credits for you. Everywhere else is just trying to scam you."

Cons: "I booked through Alaska and received an Alaska boarding pass that stated the flight was operated by Sky West. To be sure I was at the right terminal I confirmed with the security agent before going through TSA. Once through the disorganized security check I sought out a departure screen but could not find my flight anywhere. I approached a gate agent to assist and he told me my flight was on American, located outside of security and in the terminal I had just come from. He confirmed that despite the verbiage on my boarding pass my flight was neither being handled through Alaska OR SkyWest. I hurried back to the first terminal and asked the security agent but she did not speak much English and could not help me. I then hurried to the American Airlines desk where the woman was also confused. She told me there was a flight to LAX but not operated by American, operated by American Eagle. She confirmed that this was the correct flight and at my prompt gave me a new boarding pass from American. After running back through another very disorganized TSA I finally made it to my gate in time to board. My seat was located next to a woman who took up 1.5 seats and required me to lean into the aisle to avoid touching her at all times. All and all a sub par flying experience."
