Top tips for finding cheap flights to Virginia

  • Morning departure is around 24% cheaper than an evening flight, on average*.
  • Because Vancouver and Virginia are almost 5,000 kilometers apart, it can be tricky making your way from one to the other. But there are a handful of airlines that fly out of Vancouver International Airport (YVR) that will make it possible to get to Virginia. American Airlines, Delta, United, and WestJet can all lend a hand in helping you to travel from Vancouver to Virginia.
  • While you will be able to fly from Vancouver to Virginia, there aren’t going to be any direct flights offered by the airlines that service this route. In fact, it isn’t that uncommon for some airlines to make multiple stops between Vancouver International Airport and Virginia. They usually end up at Richmond International Airport (RIC) in Richmond, Virginia, but they’ll all take different approaches to getting there. Look for the airlines that only make one stop so that you’ll be able to arrive in Virginia within 10 to 11 hours instead of having to take twice that amount of time.
  • At least one leg of your flight from Vancouver to Virginia is going to be a long one. Look into securing a first-class ticket for this portion of your travel itinerary. But instead of buying a first-class ticket from the beginning, purchase an economy ticket and try to upgrade it in the weeks leading up to your flight. Your airline might send out first-class upgrade offers via email that you can use to your advantage.
  • When flying from Vancouver to Virginia, you might be planning to stay a while once you land. In this case, you may not be able to get away with only bringing a carry-on bag. But since most airlines will charge at least $30 for a checked bag, you should limit the number of bags you bring to keep your travel costs to a minimum.
  • Arriving early for an international flight from Vancouver to Virginia will be a must. Try to get to Vancouver International Airport 3 hours early if you can. Upon your arrival, you’ll be able to gain access to the Plaza Premium Lounge where you can unwind before your plane takes off.

Not very comfortable seated in the back plane due to turbulence

Ford not that great the seat not to big for leg room like other airline

It was ok. Not good and not a bad experience

not too bad but not too great either. Service on all airlines declined ever since covid. Your Delta Stewardess are not that friendly at all. :-(

I like your stewardess, they are nice. However, your food could have been better and wheres your dessert? You do not offer beer or scotch. I do not drink alcohol biut my husband can have one or two, he has to ask if he can have one. during dinner or lunch, it should be offerred. Also, you do not have the most famous drinks ginger ale

Not accommodating ground staff On board slow service Crew members not very friendly

lunch was good; breakfast was kinda meh cabin temprature was way too high new entertainment system but somewhat limited content

My flight was diverted to Atlanta and I was not given enough time. I paid my travel on April 23, 2023. It was originally Delta from Norfolk to NY, then Korean Air from NY all the way Philippines which is my final stop. Instead from Atlanta to Korea I flew Delta which is okay. Then Korea to Philippines, I flew Asiana Airlines. What I did not like, Ieagle did not sent me an email that my flight was change and so when I went to check in Wednesday the 10th, at 4:30 a.m they told me my flight was delayed at 6;00 p.m and diverted in Atlanta and I am flying Asiana from Korea to Philippines. I do not appreciate that Kayak or Ieagle chenge our flights 5 times and then last minute change again during my day of flight. I hope that you will not make any changes of my flight o Feb 15th because it has to be the same flight with my husband. That is the reason why we made the arrangements early on.

Going through security a second time to get on the next Korean Air flight was utterly ridiculous and unnecessary. We were in a International secure area.

The quality of the food is pretty good. Thank you, EVA Air.

Pleasant crew. Very long flight, a bit uncomfortable at times being seated, but not too bad.

No ice for the drinks. Only gave a half a cup of your beverage. Not enough water. I got very dehydrated.

I hope their usb charging port works. None of their usb port is working. Boeing 777 LA to Taipei (vs)

Eva is one of the top airlines in Asia... but often are over priced. Finally found a reasonable rate.

My original flight was rescheduled & EVA did a good job rescheduling my flight & connecting flight.

Polite hard working crew. No complaints really. Meals were not to my liking.

Everything was fantastic! The crew really went above and beyond to make it a great flight. I felt cared for with EVA.

t and I Flight crew did excellent job taking care of us and feeding us and staying professional. The boarding was delayed by an hour and then extra security measures were taken. No real explanation except for they said it was more of a maintenance dey

The flight was on time. Boarding process was smooth. The crew was friendly, helpful, and they kept plane facility clean. The food could've been better.

My flight to Los Angeles was canceled Had to book another flight and you charged me extra $500 Very bad experience

Comfort was left wanting due to such a long flight, made the wife and I wish we could upgrade the seats to Business class or First Class, but did not have that option. Food was good but had very limited options and I have a dietary restriction which was difficult for the staff to accommodate since everything provided came with cheese on it. (Cheese could potentially kill me) Did not have an option to inform the staff until we were already in the air about the restriction and was not provided another option before flight departed.

The plane was uncomfortable. I paid extra for more legroom but the seat was still uncomfortable. Other seats on the same exact row didn’t have to pay extra but still have extra legroom. I didn’t understand why I needed to pay $170 for. It was Iike China airline just wants to make money off their passengers. It was unfair.

Staff is friendly, great variety of entertainment, check in a little messy but due to people not listening. Overall a pleasant experience. Would use again in the future.

Baggage made it successfully to destination despite short layover. Appreciate that.

Staff were good and nice. There should me 3 meals instead of only 2 and snacks.

Flight was delay almost 2 hours from Hong Kong to Taipei. Last minute gate change from 24 to 66. Long way walk. We need to run in the Taipei airport to catch our next flight from Taipei to Vancouver. That is so suck!

Excellent staff made the boarding process fast and easy. Friendly crews on both flights from Saigon to Taipei and Taipei to Los Angeles. Will fly China Airlines again.

The plane was an older model and the entertainment was hard to enjoy on those small screens. I struggled to see clear anything I wanted to watch. The seats where a bit uncomfortable but for a 3 hours flight it was pretty ok. The rest of services were excellent. Highly recommend China Airlines to others.

The crews are professional and nice, the flight was on time

Not good. Flight was purchased for my father who needed medical assistance to board and transfer due to a heart condition. No one at Hong Kong from Cathay was there to assist and he barely made the connection. When I talked to him he could barely breath and was not sure he was going to make it. Really poor service even though the ticket stated he needed a wheelchair assistance.

we were upgraded which was a blessing and tender mercy for us. I fell the day before and was in extreme pain from knee to shoulder. Sitting in a more comfortable seat during the flight was an unexpected blessing and experience.

Not impressed with check in desk staff at Vancouver airport. Not a professional mind service and not cared or tried to help. Don’t think I would fly with them again

The aircraft was slightly newer but the food was very bad. Bland and uninteresting. Nothing special at all.

I felt thirsty and asked the flight attendent for water, but no one came for more than half an hour.

Everything went smooth. All flights were on time No changing gates, . No changing flights . It was like a completely different airlines tha n the last time I used Cathay Pacific . The last flight, 2 months ago, I had before this one was from Philippines also . I got changed in Manila and was told it only added 2 hours onto my flight . My 20 hour return trip ended up being 30 hours return with a 10.0 hour layover in New York with no seats anywhere . Everyone was sleeping or sitting on the floor . Unlike the hotel I was given in Manila to wait for this flight home . I never thought I would use Cathay Pacific again . But I did and this time you were great! I should have complained about the flight and layover from Hell a couple months ago. Consider that I am complaining about that august/23 flight now . Thank you got the great flying experience on my way home from philippines .

Would have liked working outlets on the flight. The first meal was very bleh, the second meal was a lot better so overall okay meals

I traveled to Singapore for 5 days, I didn’t receive my luggage until the 3rd day. When I received my luggage was broken which they fixed it supposedly. I never had such a poor experience with the any other airline. I honestly think it should be a compensation for all of my losses and suffering that I went through.

Cons: "The flight delay could have been announced over the speakers"
Pros: "Non-disruptive 15-hour red-eye flight from Hong Kong to New York was appreciated. Smooth and comfortable flight, no complaints here."
Cons: "In-Flight Wi-Fi was not available once reaching the continental United States."

Headphones for the movies have too much bass and can't be adjusted. Almost impossible to hear. Great movie selections but can't really watch them because you can't hear them. Also the system is very slow.

There was no entertainment at our seats. The flight was comfortable and we had leg room. The snack we had was really good.

Economy seats were surprisingly comfortable, and snacks not too bad. Checked luggage arrived at destination without problems. It was annoying to wait until last to board as lowest-tier seats but understand it’s difficult to gauge when loading a full plane At least checked carryon luggage seemed to come off first. Annoying to have to use app to order food/drink when wifi availability didn’t allow time for it. Advance communication would have helped Food on menu seemed highly processed and unpalatable, overpriced and over packaged. So maybe a good thing to have missed chance to order

The crew suki/zuki is very rude. The zoning is only being announce once and there’s no way we will know what is currently allowed to board. I’m zone 5 (currently it was zone 3 but hich I didn’t know coz i went to the restroom). I saw a guy (zone 4) start boarding also. Then my husband (zone 5) started boarding also. But when it’s my turn, he said that i have to wait coz it’s still zone 3 and I questioned him why was my husband allowed when we are both zone 5 and i pointed to him my husband who’s boarding already and he told me to be attentive next time. And i told him he was so rude u like the other lady staff who is nice. The lady is the one who allowed the man (zone 4) and my husband to start boarding. There were 2 lines (the lady and suki)

The original connecting flight from Vancouver to Portland was canceled and then delayed. I ended up waiting for almost seven hours instead of three.

Air Canada was great and boarding was fine. The issue was that we received an email from Air Canada to check in (we were directed to Air Canada’s website). When we tried to check in online we couldn’t. So we decided to go to Air Canada check-in desks at the airport. When we arrived there they said that we needed to check in with United Airlines (which was in a different terminal and required an air train or long walk to get there). There was no indication during the booking process that we needed to check in with United so it was impossible to know. Hopefully this can be fixed going forward to travelers know which airline is processing their check-in. Seems like a basic thing that should be communicated during the check-in process. Other than that, everything else went well.

Poor communication, when they chose to change my airlines to Alaska when entering back in the US. Even gate agents were confused.

The staff were kind and friendly. It was smooth going and coming back even though coming back with holiday traffic.

TV Bathroom sink was full of water not draining. Counter all wet

Had to wait 40 min after landing to park at gate
