Her flight from Amsterdam to New York today operated by KLM, was delayed by few minutes. And Delta flight from JFK to Cleveland DL4084 was preponed by airlines. Result was my daughter was not allowed to board the aircraft. Worst was yet to come. Your staff at the gate offered her a flight to Cleveland for next day at 3:30 pm??? Means around 24 hours later. Is this how you behave with a girl of 19 years, asking her to stay at the airport. She was refused Hotel and Lounge stay by your team!!! Is this what you call customer services??? Obscene services is what I would like to term it as!!! My daughter asked them to give this is writing, which was refused to her. Why are your people scared to put it in writing if everything that you are doing is right by the Law??? I was left with no other option but to book her on American Airlines flight today departing at 9 pm to ensure that little girl doesn’t have to spend close to 24 hours at airport by paying $423. Who is going to bear the loss of money and mental torture that your team has given to me and my daughter???? She seemed very laissez faire and there was no information about the connections gate overhead or when I got off the plane. I think that if the flight is delayed, the airline should let passengers know where the close connection gate assignments are to save them time (my flight landed ten minutes after my connection was boarding). 2. The carry on luggage section was impossibly small so I had to gatecheck my bag and it took five minutes to get my bag back. Given the tight connection, this created additional anxiety."

Unbelievable! Disappointing. And by the way if a passenger is assigned to a seat that doesn’t recline it should be heavily discounted. Heavily as in half price of a normal seat. It really is sad that airline industry is not more service focused and more efficient."

The crew slammed things down on table trays, grumped, were giving harsh orders to patrons rather than gently directing them. These ladies do not enjoy their job. I am done with Delta. We were also an hour late taking off due to a door on a cargo hold not closing. I was embarrassed that our Aussie friends experienced this as their first American flight."

I asked the rep at the gate to please have an aisle seat but she asked me to wait as she will call my name for seat assignments later. As I waited like she called many names and not mine, i again reminded her that she didnt call mine and she then just gave me my boarding pass without even apologizing that shr had put me in a middle seat. I told her i cant sit im a middle seat i need am aisle because I go to the bathroom often. she coldly said. "no more aisle seats". bad experience with ground staff in general as this is not the first time."

We did have to touchdown in Canada coming and going, but short and efficient hops. On the way back, it probably saved time because we were cleared in Canada so arriving back in Philly was like a domestic flight. Great Food and service. The trip to Japan on their new Dreamliner business class featured an amazingly designed pod - super comfortable, lay flat for sleeping, But has good layout and table space if I had wanted to work on laptop. Thumbs up!"

A new boarding pass was printed for the next flight and she assured me that my checked luggage would accompany me from Toronto to Calgary. They also printed a boarding pass for my next flight to Lethbridge. On arrival in Calgary flight personnel ask all patrons to remain seated to allow those of us who had a connecting flight to depart first. I certainly appreciated this kind suggestion and it allowed me more time to reach my next departure gate."

Pros: "The crew on every leg of the flight was very professional. Having one TSA entry point for eight gates at Brulington really slows things down, I realize this has nothing to do with United though."
Cons: "I wish instead of me when I missed my flight due to TSA that United themselves would have tried to get me out on another flight that same day. They assumed I wanted only one stop, when in fact it didn't matter to me so long as I wasn't stuck another overnight. I used Kayak in the terminal to discover a different flight that same day and was lucky to get on as each flight was fully booked."

Cons: "The whole arrangement going through Air Canada but flying United. I never got confirmation numbers from United at all. I had to call Air Canada to get confirmation codes for United. Getting confirmation codes from Air Canada had no real significance with United. United would not confirm seating. When United finally confirmed seating, the seats were not together. Then United changed the flight three times and never gave updated confirmation codes. The last change came the day before our departure. Then United charged another $138.00 for seats that were assigned and never informed us. I am still trying to get the $138.00 back."

Cons: "United made no accommodation for a late-arriving connecting flight. The United schedule required changing terminals and a race to the next gate -- then closed the doors five minutes early even though there were passengers sprinting from the other terminal to make their connection. They knew the connecting flight had been delayed; they should have waited five minutes to let us on. The result was a nine-hour wait in Newark Airport for the next United flight."
