Boarding is fast and easy for economy class, food was ok baggage policies are good

The flight went well. Everything good. Boarding. Meal service. Snack (crackers) & Drinks. (Could do with more selection like a sandwich). The seats did not have the annoying footrests (that dig into your shins when you stretch out your legs.). Entertainment was good as I watch 4 movies. Screens were bight (adjustable) but could do with privacy filters on them to prevent light from the passenger next to you shining in your face. They need to have milk for hot black tea though as coffee creamer just never makes tea taste nice.

EVA would not help with ticket issue since they were purchased through a travel agency. Even though it was EVA ticket stock. Travel agency Budget Air didn't reissue ticket after airline change which I didn’t learn until trying to checkin on Christmas Day and there was no contact number for the agency to help. I will never use Budget Air to purchase flight again and disappointed in EVA’s refusal to help. Thankfully just under 12 hrs before departure someone from the agency was available to reissue tickets. I was starting to think we would not be flying and the stress trying to resolve was completely unacceptable.

Comfort was left wanting due to such a long flight, made the wife and I wish we could upgrade the seats to Business class or First Class, but did not have that option. Food was good but had very limited options and I have a dietary restriction which was difficult for the staff to accommodate since everything provided came with cheese on it. (Cheese could potentially kill me) Did not have an option to inform the staff until we were already in the air about the restriction and was not provided another option before flight departed.

It was a 2 hour flight to Taiwan. Lunch was served. China Airlines goes above and beyond for their passengers.

They were helpful, considerate with asking us for standby preboarding with our infant, gave us toys and excellent service onboard. They were always on time, even early boarding once! All our luggage arrived intact, and they even brought our baby car seat to oversized for us. We love China Airlines!

3 of the 4 flights had delays despite the weather being fine, but still managed to make all connections

Flight was delay almost 2 hours from Hong Kong to Taipei. Last minute gate change from 24 to 66. Long way walk. We need to run in the Taipei airport to catch our next flight from Taipei to Vancouver. That is so suck!

Excellent staff made the boarding process fast and easy. Friendly crews on both flights from Saigon to Taipei and Taipei to Los Angeles. Will fly China Airlines again.

For a long-haul flight, the crew did a very good job of keeping the lavatories clean and the aisles clear.

The check-in crew at SF did not put on breakable glass stickers on check-in baggages which caused my antique whisky bottle to break during transportation.

I cancelled the flights in good time but could only get a partial refund. I was not warned of this.

The boarding experience was as expected and went well. The plane's economy seating plan is not designed for a positive customer experience but rather for company profit. When the passenger in front of me reclined, the distance from the screen to my face was the span of my hand (thumb tip to pinky fingertip). There is no such thing as personal space in this setting. This results in the domino effect, for when I recline the person in back of me reclines and so it goes. This is not to say that reclining is the answer as the experience is not increased, but simply managed.

Crew experience was more transnational, seats were so close together (LtoR and FtoB) that it was difficult to enjoy much of anything. When the person in front leaned back, there is no space for me. Sadly it was a flight to be endured not experienced.

While I was in great pain, the seat was sufficiently comfortable to allow me to rest and not be in so much pain.

Not impressed with check in desk staff at Vancouver airport. Not a professional mind service and not cared or tried to help. Don’t think I would fly with them again

The aircraft was slightly newer but the food was very bad. Bland and uninteresting. Nothing special at all.

Everything was good food could be better but ok for economy on my 2nd flight the head ph jack are bad you have to hold pushed in to hear anything but other then that very nice service

1.5 hours late departing YVR for a 14-minute flight. Packed waiting area. Full plane. Families with tired, screaming kids. 40-minute wait for baggage at YYJ. For a Dash-8. Obviously there was some kind of breakdown but there was no communication from anyone. Most of this was not WestJet's fault but it was an unpleasant night overall. I fell asleep in a chair waiting for the luggage carousel to start.

Having a lot of delayed flights on West Jet, however things always work out. So no complaints.

Three hours on the tarmac before a four hour flight. I was hungry given the long wait, yet still had to pay for food service

I had planned to watch the Westjet entertainment for the entire flight however, because the seat mounted outlets in our row did not work.

Not a bad flight but our priority tagged luggage was the very last to come down the carousel.

The flight itself was good, the departure process was a little chaotic but once on the plane it was fine. The carry on luggage amounts is ridiculous. My husband’s suitcase was left behind in Kelowna. We could see it sitting there with our airtag. It was put on the next plane 6 hrs later but it was not delivered until the next afternoon. Unfortunately we had a business meeting Friday morning so he had no change of clothing for that.

Westjet cancelled the flight and I had to show up at the airport to rebook it, losing 2 days of my vacation, and no compensation, a crappy itinerary with no extra legroom which we paid for, no ability to use the lounge passes we paid for - basically a crappy experience. Not a reliable airline if you have a big trip planned.

Headphones for the movies have too much bass and can't be adjusted. Almost impossible to hear. Great movie selections but can't really watch them because you can't hear them. Also the system is very slow.

I liked that I paid for the bulkhead. That was the only saving grace those seats suck. Why do they pack you in so tight pack you so tight

The flight attendant bumped into me repeatedly time and time again, throughout the entire flight, preventing me from getting any rest. He seemed unaware of his actions and I was very close to saying something, but I didn't because I don't believe he would have understood or altered his behaviour. It was very irritating

There was no entertainment at our seats. The flight was comfortable and we had leg room. The snack we had was really good.

Economy seats were surprisingly comfortable, and snacks not too bad. Checked luggage arrived at destination without problems. It was annoying to wait until last to board as lowest-tier seats but understand it’s difficult to gauge when loading a full plane At least checked carryon luggage seemed to come off first. Annoying to have to use app to order food/drink when wifi availability didn’t allow time for it. Advance communication would have helped Food on menu seemed highly processed and unpalatable, overpriced and over packaged. So maybe a good thing to have missed chance to order

Glad that the plane was not full so my 6' 2" husband didn't have anyone in front of him. We were able to sit in a row with a space between us so he could stretch his legs.

Glasses of water very small, no any snack and at the second time that the air attendant serve water or juice, she ignored us, only some passengers had something to drink.😕

Seating is comfortable, boarding is well organized. Toilets are very small. Even though I’m petite, still find no room to move around. Toilet paper holder hanging loosely, eventually they fell on the floor. The small sink is too shallow that causes water splashing on the floor. It doesn’t look pleasant. I didn’t purchase food or watch the entertainment, so no comments.

Fruit and cheese platter was dubious quality. The edges of the cheese pieces were dried, plastic looking. Old.
