Barbara Schaefer is a German travel journalist and freelance author living in Berlin, Germany, but can often be found in Italy, somewhere between Bolzano and Bari. Her curiosity takes her around the world, from Vladivostok to Canada, from Uzbekistan to Spitsbergen. When she is not wandering through lonely landscapes, Barbara throws herself into the pulsating life of the big cities.
