That the inside of the car was clean and there was a full tank.

Cons:

When you book a car online they have the car you booked not make you take a $2 a day upgrade when it was there fault for not having the car in the first place. Also they need to train there employees to take better care of the customers and not let them stand in the lobby waiting to be checked out while they wait check everyone else out. And they could have washed the car saying it rained the day before is no excuse to give me a dirty on the outside car.

The rudest manager I’ve ever witnessed. Liar employees that called to confirm my reservation the day before and when I got there my car was not there. The manager said I have no control over this when I asked who has control he said I’m the manager but I can’t control anything here and sent me away. He didn’t care and was making fun of another customer who wanted to pay cash with another employee right in front me. That store either needs to close down or the whole team needs to change because it’s ruining enterprise reputation. I would never rent from enterprise again because time is gold and I waisted 2 hours of my time that day driving to OC from LA. Bad business very bad!!!!!

Unexpected costs from insurance. They told me I didn’t have insurance for the trip right before I was leaving while I was standing in the parking lot. I unded up spending way more than planned and I’m really miffed about it. They didn’t explain how much more it was going to cost before I left. It felt a little bit like they tricked me.

The vehicle was ok, not the cleanest but, the drop off and complimentary shuttle at LAX was excellent.

Cons:

Make sure you have a paper copy of your insurance or you will get a very hard time. We had no issues when we rented at the LAX location and no issues dropping off there but, the very rude man the Anaheim Avis/Budget rental office almost didn’t let us rent as he was angry we went through kayak and had no wifi for me to show him my insurance document. He was argumentative and down right rude. I will let people know not to rent from this location again. He racked the bill up as high as he could to make a buck!

I showed up to the designated location to pick up my reserved rental car and found the branch closed. I had confirmed my reservation the day before. Other customers were showing up as well to drop off their vehicles but the building was locked. When calling Alamo's main customer support line, I was placed on hold for more than 30 minutes. The representative that helped us could not provide us with an answer as to why the location was closed. They did not offer any solutions other than to drive to a different location which would take us an additional 45 minutes to arrive.

Cons:

Customer service on all levels. There are no guarantees with this company even when you have a confirmation number. I highly recommend using an alternative car rental company.

The location we went to had terrible customer service. Their website said they close at 4pm. We booked for a car pick up around 12 pm and I got to the location around 12:15pm. Come to find out they stuck a printed piece of paper on their door saying they close at 12pm. We did not receive a curtesy call saying they are closing early. No email from them either. When I got to the location, there were still employees inside that can clearly see me and another couple there who had a 12 pm pick up as well. No associate came to talk to us. No associate even acknowledged us. Later on we see them run out the back door really fast and lock up. I went up to someone to ask what was going on and all one of them said was “we are closed already.” Customer service was just absolutely terrible. Had there been better communication or at least a heads up that they planned on closing early, no one would have been upset but the way they handled everything was terrible and upsetting.

Anaheim branch doesn't offer after hours return which is very inconvenient. Hertz is also not able to change drop-off location for prepaid contracts. Only after calling them numerous times they offered me to change the location for an additional fee of $320.

I didn't like anything about renting from Hertz. They didn't have a car when they said they would. Their local agents did what they could, however their reservation service is a joke. I wasted an entire day of my vacation trying to get the car I had ordered and then had to take a smaller vehicle or not have a car. Hertz gave no compensation. What an absolute joke.

Cons:

Hertz should change their name to Hurts! What a joke of a company to rent from! I have no idea how they have the reputation they have as a quality rental company!

The staff at this location was excellent and went out of there way to try to find the perfect vehicle for me ... and the vehicle (Lincoln Navigator) was very nice.

Cons:

I had wanted a 4wd for our family ski trip to Colorado, but they could not promise that the vehicle provided on my pick-up day would be a 4wd (and it wasn't). That just doesn't seem right. They were able to find a very nice large luxury vehicle (Navigator) for me that they brought in from another location that morning ... so I had to wait a bit for it (but no big deal). Fortunately, the lack of 4wd did not become an issue on our trip.

I have never waited so long to pick up a car with a reservation already made. The location is either under staffed or they are just so slow. One customer representative specifically and aggressively trying to get costumers to pay more, to upgrade to expensive cars, pay for fast lane, add insurance. He is using fear tactics and it slows down the line highly.

Getting to the Midway rental office from the airport is a bit confusing and poorly marked/explained. You take an airport bus from the arrivals to a parking lot down road from the airport, and then the rental car companies routinely come by and use vans/large SUVs to bring people from that parking lot to their specific rental location. The check out line was long and slow (about 35-40 mins of waiting), but once I got to counter it was smooth and it took 5-10 minutes to get the paperwork filled out. Returning car was fast and easy.

most car rental places at LAX pick you up directly. midway makes you take this bus, operated by the airport, which stops at every terminal and then brings you to a random area which then you get off and then finally head to the rental location. once there, they have no bathroom, and the line moves super slowly. better to spend another $50 per day to avoid this hassle.

Pricing was alright. Extremely pushy to upsell their insurance and almost made it seem as though if you didnt purchase their insurance that it wouldnt be good enough to rent a vehicle from them. When finally just agreeing to their basic coverage just to get out of there, I asked a lot attendant which vehicle I could take, and they pointed out a specific vehicle (a black hatchback). When i tried to leave with the vehicle, person working at the exit booth acted like I was stealing the vehicle and kept repeating that I can't take this vehicle. After telling them multiple times thats what the lot attendant told me I can take, i reversed the vehicle, put it where they told me. They then said that I could take one of the sedans, then they changed their mind halfway as I was about to start putting stuff in the sedan and told me to take a crappy hyundai sedan.

This is one of the worst car rental experiences I’ve had. Kayak is terrible to get to. In spite of all the push ads I’ve received from them they have not responded and customer service telephone numbers give out wrong information and Europcar refuses to attend to my rental agreement changes stating that I’ve booked a 3rd party such as Kayak. So you guys do not add value. You just make life more difficult for car renters

The lobby where the Thrifty desk is located is crazy loud. I could barely hear the representative when I called the location directly. It completely put me off, but I stuck with it. I had no problem with the car or staff. The walk to the lot for picking up the car is a bit of a pain but I'm not sure how they could work around that since the office is right at the dock. Overall a good experience.

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. Horrible - do not book with NextCar. They denied my car insurance because I was not the primary policyholder. I have full coverage insurance, so there was no logistical reason to deny it. The supplemental insurance cost as much as the rental itself. I was never told at the time of booking that I would be forced to use their insurance if I wasn’t the primary policyholder. I was only told so 24 hours out from my booking. I’m actively trying to get a refund for this.

We had to locate another agency to obtain a vehicle and exit the airport. Terrible experience and to know that they are NOT even aware that the vehicle was never picked up. He was also on his personal phone while he was with us. He said something and I didn’t understand so I asked him to repeat himself and he just pointed to his ear. Drop off was understaffed. I was charged a late fee because it took 15 minutes for someone to get to me to review the car, and they submitted their report 10 minutes after my drop off time. This company also requires you to have full coverage, not just collision. I do not own a car and so had to pay an extra $30 a day to them for this coverage.

We had to call from the airport twice to get a pickup to the rental location which was 10 minute ride . Once there we found out that they did not recognize our insurance and I had to pay $260 for insurance . This now made my rental car more expensive than what was at the airports . Drop off went smooth , but we were dropped off at the rental location other than airport drop off for the airport .

Very bad. We paid by card $14 for two days, but when we went to get the car they ask us to pay 7 times this price plus $150 as a deposit. Why not to tell us the truth from the beginning, so we know the exact price. I am asking for paying me back the $14.

I had to pay so much extra because apparently the insurance I had didn’t cover Expedia/economy car rental despite said insurance covering every other car rental agency. So either I was lied to or it’s just economy and I’m never going to rent from them/expedia again. I was also given a number to call travel guard which is not able to cover after the rental purchase was made. The car was also full of dog hair. In total this rental cost me 200$ instead of the 40 +30 I paid for the rental and insurance initially. Huge rip off. Took forever and is so inconvenient to get to without a car! Insane. Never again.

Took a long time to get the car. First of all, there shuttle only comes to remote rental car center near LAX. You need to take a bus to get there. Then you take there shuttle to get to their office. It took me almost an hour to get the get and be on my way. There were two agents working the desk and they were really helpful but, the whole process was slow. I had to wait a long time.

We booked a car for $140 for 6 days. I checked several times to make sure the car rental was at the airport, not with a shuttle. When we arrived, and finally found an attendant for U-Save amongst the crowd when you exit SJD (Cabo) airport, he indicated we would take a shuttle to the car rental office. We still waited 5-10 minutes for the shuttle. When we finally arrived, they said there were mandatory insurance fees of nearly $60/day, which would bring my total closer to $500–that’s more than triple the price I had reserved with. That was supposed to be the total cost. After much back and forth, they said there’s nothing they could do and that this 3rd party insurance is required in Mexico. We were almost going to agree, about to start the paperwork, then they said they would have to charge $1500 as a deposit for incidentals. This was NOT a hold, this was going to be a charge that they would refund. I’ve rented cars before and I understand a deposit for incidentals. But this amount seemed outrageously high, especially in light of the forced insurance. We decided to skip the car rental altogether and just used taxis/Uber to get around. It cost us much much less, and definitely less headache. I would never ever book with U-Save ever again. And generally be wary of renting a car in Cabo for that matter, as they just try to impose additional costs and triple the anticipated cost.

Also, I asked for some extra to be deducted from the deposit but they made a mistake and I had to pay it separately. They did give me an upgrade because they were late but I just end up spending more gas because I got bigger car..

Told the attendant that I would bring it back on Tuesday, April 30 by 9 AM the original contract was for 22 April through 29 April and again I told the attendant that my flight was on the 30th so I have a receipt showing that and now they’re trying to charge me for an extra day so I probably would never do business with priceless again thank you

The car was dirty when we picked it up. It only had a single floor mat il and it was in the back. It was missing a hubcap and had body damage to the right rear. The final price was much higher than was quoted. The listing said that the car was "in terminal" but it was not it required a shuttle ride. Overall experience was poor. I would rather have a bus pass than rent from these people again.

I was a little wary about going with a local car rental agency -- I've gotten cars that weren't clean or smelled smoky. Black & White were extremely polite, professional and prompt. I was picked up in an impeccably clean Suburban, and the car I got (Toyota Corolla) was very clean and worked well. As a female, some of these car rental agencies don't feel safe and seem sketchy, but this agency was not one of them. I would 100% recommend them again, and I will definitely see if they have a car for me the next time I need a car from LAX.

They were dreadful. We didn't want a shuttle connection from the airport, but the Kayak info said they were AT Wellington Airport. They were actually in a very small place two and a half kilometres away. They were open only certain hours and when I finally got to speak to a person they denied anyone else had complained and , refused a refund, and blamed the misinformation on the third-party, QEEQ. I would have to approach them for a refund.

I called to find out where the office was and was told it was at the airport terminal. In fact it wasn’t there and we had trouble finding address on the instructions. When we finally got there, there was nothing there – no office, no sign. We kept calling the phone number and it took nearly 2 hours to get our car. The car was filthy. Qverall the whole experience was terrible and I will never use Yesaway again!

I arrived at the airport at 7:30pm and called for a shuttle. I called twice with no answer. I took a taxi out an couldn't find the location. I finally got through and the person on the phone said they closed at 5. On my printed out paper, it says pick up till 9pm. I had to make a last minute booking with another company at the airport and paid a 65$ taxi fee for the back and forth. The money I would have saved was not worth this head ache. I am super disappointed the pick up times weren't clearly indicated and I would have arranged myself accordingly. I think kayak should make a better effort in providing better, reliable companies considering their name is associated with them.

Shuttle from airport doesn’t arrive. I called multiple times. No answer, no response to voicemail. Took taxi instead. Hard to find location which is in the middle of nowhere, barely lit and marked Tuff instead of ACO. Got to counter at 7:02 and was told they close at 7 so wouldn’t help me. Also if you are an hour late your entire contract is canceled anyway. So they would not have helped me regardless due to the shuttle bus issue. I was stranded with my toddler and no car. Staff would not even call me a taxi. Thank goodness Lyft was nearby. Terrible staff, terrible service, terrible operation. I wasted $50+ in cab fare thanks to ACO. BEWARE.

This company is a prime example of how NOT to conduct business, and I strongly urge anyone considering renting from them to think twice and avoid this nightmare at all costs. Let me start by saying that "Right Cars" has absolutely no regard for their customers' well-being or financial security. When I arrived at their rental office, ready to pick up my supposedly affordable 50 euros car, I was greeted with an outrageous demand: a whopping 650 euros as a deposit. Are they out of their minds? It's beyond comprehension how they can justify such an exorbitant amount for a car that is worth a fraction of that deposit. As if their greed wasn't enough, "Right Cars" shamelessly refused to refund or provide any reasonable alternatives. Instead, they presented me with an ultimatum: pay an additional 80 euros for insurance or fork over a mind-boggling 500 euros as a deposit for a vehicle that should be barely worth the initial rental cost. This level of exploitation and disregard for customer satisfaction is simply disgraceful. It's clear that "Right Cars" Car Rental thrives on taking advantage of unsuspecting customers. The pick up hour should be an interval, our flight delayed and the man from car rental didn’t wait for us. It was necessary to arrange a paid transfer to the hotel. Also the phone number mentioned in the voucher didn’t work and nobody answer. I was helped by customer service from my hotel to manage to be in touch with somebody from The car rentals. The experience was awful.
