I didn't like standing in the cold waiting for someone to show up. Then the fact there were no cars to rent when I finally did get ahold of someone. How does that happen when I have reserved a car? Needless to say this place is what it is. Just a hole in the wall company with unreliable staff.

just hosed truck with water no soap not clean interior . paid for commercial insurence ,apparently my car ins . would not cover renting a half ton p/u truck, vicky the CSR says because of black and white plates which are commercial plates . i told her commercial vehicles are registered 4500 kg and over .

When I returned the car, the gentleman advised that there's some minor scuff marks at the front bumper. I didn't like that comment from him as it was so light that it was likely not even noticed when they gave the car to me. Luckily senior rep was there who confirmed that this will not count as damage. He scared me initially ... the vehicle was driven so carefully.

We had a reservation for a car. When we arrived at the pickup counter we were told there were no cars available. Even though we had a reservation, it didn't matter, they didn't have a car for us. We ended up spening the next several hours trying to find a car from another agency. I will never rent from Alamo/Enterprise in Girona again.

If the rental booking could automatically, and CLEARLY notify customers that they absolutely have to use a credit card for their booking, it would save alot of headaches for customers and your alls reps. When I booked mine with a debit card, the confirmation made it seem like everything was fine, and even said to bring the credit/debit card I booked with. It knows I'm doing a way trip. So in this day and age, an automatic warning would be awesome, instead of being told "its the policy" and I should have read it 3 paragraphs down

I never got a car. They said that if the reservation was made less than 24 hours before there were no cars available. Get it together.... don't set up your system to allow reservations if there are no cars available. It reminds me of airlines overbooking flights.

The rental shop was closed. We waited, and called multiple times, but they never showed. This left us stranded in a foreign city. We ended up having to pay ridiculous amounts of money for taxis to get to and from our final destination, and weren't really able to explore the villages where our great grandparents were from as we wanted.

The only improvement would be to improve maintenance on the vehicles. The wiper blades were worn out. This can be dangerous when it rains and driving in St. Thomas.

Convenient location in an older building along with a fuel station and a car wash. the rental agent was very cordial and showed me the return location (was confusing) as the building driveway had tight clearances. Return equally easy since I understood where to go. Were given a cute Citroen C3 with a six speed manual trans which was comfortable, fun to drive, and offered plenty of space for the two of us. Five gold stars!

We had to call from the airport twice to get a pickup to the rental location which was 10 minute ride . Once there we found out that they did not recognize our insurance and I had to pay $260 for insurance . This now made my rental car more expensive than what was at the airports . Drop off went smooth , but we were dropped off at the rental location other than airport drop off for the airport .

Kayak did not inform me who I am getting the car rental with. When I arrived at the airport, I learnt that the "airport car rental pickup" was not at the airport but a shuttle ride away. This should have been communicated to be at the time of making the reservation. Unlike any of the other car rentals, Green Motion asked me for a very high security deposit of €2,400 for a 1 day rental. I had no option but to pay it because the booking for pre-paid. This was not a great experience and given that I had booked through Kayak, I should have been communicated this information at the time of making the reservation.

Once we learned the facility was about 1/3 mile from the Iceland airport and could not find a Sixt booth or their shuttle at the Iceland airport, we decided to walk to the facility in the rain & wind. Otherwise, the check in & check out process was ok and the vehicle served us well in our travels around Iceland.

I arrived 30 minutes early for my reservation and the line was ridiculously long. It took over an hour and fifteen to just talk to someone. I elected to purchase the collision coverage online, only to get there and be told that I also needed to purchase minimum coverage for $30 per day. An additional $150 on top of what I paid online. I budgeted $275 for the rental car to get there and be told that it will be over 50% more expensive!?!? So ridiculous, especially when I am standing in a city with no other options to rent a car at that point. 30 minutes after talking with someone I was given a vehicle with substantial scratches, dents, damage, and a half a tank of gas. This was the worst rental car experience I have ever had. I would NEVER use this rental service again. I feel like I was screwed over and when you are there, have been waiting and have no other options, you just have to pay the extra money for the damaged vehicle and move on. Very terrible experience all around.

Nothing to like. First, I would not rent from ACE again, as the inconvenience is not worth the time. Getting to the location is a hassle. Leaving the terminal, you have to travel/walk 15-20 minutes to get to a pickup area, only to have to call for a pickup. Several people were already waiting for an extended time before I arrived. Next, after getting to the rental location, I had to wait an additional 30 minutes before a vehicle was brought to me. After inspection of the vehicle, it seemed that a previous renter hit the bumper and you can see this on both left & right upper sides. I tried to point this out to someone that worked there and was told video was already taken of the car, so don't worry about it. I then took my own video. The car was not cleaned and looked like it just was wiped down with a cloth instead of being washed. The return wasn't any better, as I wasn't greeted by anyone when I pulled to the return point. I had to seek out an employee and ask, where they told me to leave the car and take the keys inside. I then had to wait as customers were in front of me in line, before a clerk looked up and asked if I was returning. I then gave the keys over and had to wait about 15 minutes more for the next shuttle back to the airport. You must factor in plenty of time if you rent with ACE, and not get frustrated with what appears to be poor process management. Overall, I would have rented directly from the airport onsite locations, instead of ACE if I fly into EWR/Newark airport again.

When I went to pickup my car, I had to wait ~1 hour to speak with someone at the desk. The agent I spoke to at the desk lied to me and said that I cannot use my personal auto insurance and had to use their plan. I call their corporate number later and the confirmed that agent was incorrect and refunded my money spent on the insurance. The car they had reserved for me was stuck behind several cars on the lot and inaccessible. Because of this they tried to give me another vehicle in the same class. The replacement they picked had visible damage/dent to the multiple panels, doors, and bumper. I started documenting all the damage in detail and taking pictures, the agent started getting visibly annoyed. He ended up providing me with a different car in the end. When I came time to drop off the vehicle, the lot nearly full and there was a line extending into the street just to enter the lot. I'm still waiting to deposit to be returned and I anticipating that I will need to call their corporate office again. This was an extremely poor experience through and through. I will never rent from Mexrentacar ever again, and I will never recommend their services to anyone.

The second issue was the car was in need of oil service and had warning lights on when I picked it up. This was not big deal, I checked oil level and the car was actually fine.

I probably didn't read the correspondence carefully. My drivers license wasn't sufficient ID and they required a second form of ID. If I hadn't had one on me I would have had to go to another counter to rent. You should make that requirement in BOLD print so I can't skim past it.

Horrible - do not book with NextCar. They denied my car insurance because I was not the primary policyholder. I have full coverage insurance, so there was no logistical reason to deny it. The supplemental insurance cost as much as the rental itself. I was never told at the time of booking that I would be forced to use their insurance if I wasn’t the primary policyholder. I was only told so 24 hours out from my booking. I’m actively trying to get a refund for this.

I had to pay so much extra because apparently the insurance I had didn’t cover Expedia/economy car rental despite said insurance covering every other car rental agency. So either I was lied to or it’s just economy and I’m never going to rent from them/expedia again. I was also given a number to call travel guard which is not able to cover after the rental purchase was made. The car was also full of dog hair. In total this rental cost me 200$ instead of the 40 +30 I paid for the rental and insurance initially. Huge rip off. Took forever and is so inconvenient to get to without a car! Insane. Never again.

Took a long time to get the car. First of all, there shuttle only comes to remote rental car center near LAX. You need to take a bus to get there. Then you take there shuttle to get to their office. It took me almost an hour to get the get and be on my way. There were two agents working the desk and they were really helpful but, the whole process was slow. I had to wait a long time.

After my experience with this company I understand why they have a low score, initially I let myself be carried away because they offered me a very low price, but when I pick up the car the cost was going to be higher than the other companies with better score, so I decided to go and rent with another company, I do not recommend ECONOMY RENT A CAR for anything, very bad service and unethical

Total rip off like priceline who mentioned Unlimited kms on the invoice and then refused to refund me. They started showing me terms and policies when the Invoice clearly shows Unlimited kms. Spolied my trip. Lost my money and had to book another place. Waste of time. Terrible experience.

I loved the car loved the easy pick up and return of the rental car. The airport made it very self explanatory to get the car back with white letters on the road to direct you back to the rental car return. Made me smile. I had to extend my rental due to not finishing the work I came down for and the company made it very easy to extend.

Only 400Km in total (Ontario & US) for your rental if you take the car into US for even a day. Also, the cars are not in good mechanical conditions, couldn’t drive above 110KPH on highways! Best to book with some reputable rental companies even if you have to pay a little more!

The drop off/pick up is outside of the airport. If you need to drop off the car early and they are closed you have to drop off the car and take an Uber or taxi to the airport at your own cost. Just a heads up when booking.

If you do not arrive within 1-2 hours of your reservation time, they give your car away and don't have backups for you! EVERYONE in that arrived on my shuttle were in the same boat; they didn't have any of our vehicles; they were simply telling everyone that their reservation is cancelled, we'll receive our money back (eventually), and we just need to go elsewhere to find a car last minute, at night. IT WAS A DISASTER! Thank God one of the guys working there took pity on my group since I had my 80 year old parents with me, and managed to find another vehicle for us. It was smaller than what we rented, but at least it was a vehicle. I'm thankful to the employee who bent over backwards to find us a vehicle, but York's policy of re-renting everyone's cars if they are not there within 1-2 hours is CRAZY! Everyone else got screwed. It was an awful experience. Oh, it it took HOURS for all of that to get settled. 0/5 stars.

Found an old water bottle in the car so wasn’t cleaned very thoroughly but it’s a new car so wasn’t visibly dirty. Pick up and drop off was super easy, no hidden fees, accepted that I had insurance through my credit card and didn’t try and sell me any. Staff was kind.

Everything went smoothly. Would like to have been able to change to an awd on the day but it was not available. Not their problem and turned out the 2wd suv was fine in snow anyway. Friendly guys at pick up and drop off and very fast service.

The car was dirty when we picked it up. It only had a single floor mat il and it was in the back. It was missing a hubcap and had body damage to the right rear. The final price was much higher than was quoted. The listing said that the car was "in terminal" but it was not it required a shuttle ride. Overall experience was poor. I would rather have a bus pass than rent from these people again.

This was legitimately the worst experience I have ever had renting a car in my entire life, and I have rented easily 100 cars. The staff was highly unprofessional, coughing, and snorting in my face the entire time, one of the employees lit a joint in the office while I was trying to understand what the first employee was wanting me to do. This was the worst part. They made me, call my insurance and send multiple forms of paperwork via email at 5 o’clock on a weekday to them stating that I had collision coverage that was not commercial. Even though my insurance agent got on the phone with them stating that I had private rental car collision coverage, this would not suffice. They were trying to scam me into purchasing their collision coverage that they offer. They clearly work on commission. It was an absolute nightmare so much so that I was texting the chat on Expedia to get my reservation that was nonrefundable, canceled. I ended up working with Expedia and getting the reservation canceled , leaving in an absolute sweaty mess after almost 2 hours standing there, trying to get an understanding of what they were demanding of me that has never happened before at any other car rental agency in my life. I would run as fast as you can from this company, it was priceless car rental, also known as 24 seven rent a car. Literally, run.

The only thing we liked about the car rental was the car. The service was horrible! They charge you 20 euros extra for cleaning the car even though the car you received was not washed. The car was a diesel, which is supposed to have the addativ adblue which would last you 20000kms. We had to add that which cost me another 20 euros which they would not refund. They charged 1300euros deposit which I hope they have refunded. I personally feel that kayak should remove them from your offerings. Also I hope you can refund me the additional charges that were not part of the deal!

They kept trying to charge my card at check in for things I did not know about, I refused their insurance multiple times and they kept trying to charge me for it, they told me the deposit was $102 but instead it was $1200 which i did not see until i got the receipt so I was not properly informed about what i was paying. I am still not sure what I paid because they have not provided a proper receipt and kept trying to charge me for random things.

They refused to honor my reservation and claimed they had no cars but could make a special opportunity for me at $175 a day. As it was late at night I had to take their high price offer for one day but got them down $106 a day. We switched to Economy Rent-A-Car the next day at $84 for 4 days. Steer clear of Advantage. They are scammers and liars

Gasing up the car on return was not properly explained . Was charged for fuel twice , I filled up the car fully on return and was still charged for fuel on the final bill . I will be requesting a credit on that .

It was the worst possible experience! The agent, who had no name tag, was very rude and unprofessional. He told me that since I was renting for just one day, I should have gone to Budget or Enterprise. He charged my account twice. He treated my husband and me as if we were trying to steal something. He said that I needed to show proof of residency, so I did, but it had my husband’s name on it. Therefore, I had to add my husband to the reservation, and then he charged me twice the amount that was agreed upon for adding my husband. The entire time, he kept saying, “it would be easier if I canceled your reservation and let you go.” And I left the store without the car!

2 day rental at a very low rate ($48). Expected to be taxed like crazy and pressured for upcharges, but this was a whole new level. Website not working or helpful in preparing an easy counter experience. App useless. At the counter, was told my NY/NJ EZ Pass I brought is useless unless I want to be double-charged. And, “FL no longer accepts cash at tolls, so renting the plate pass for $11/day, unlimited tolls, is cheaper than the fines if you end up on a toll road.” I could have navigated around all tolls on the trip, and there are clearly cash lanes at each toll booth. Plus, I pre-purchased Allianz rental insurance directly to avoid their overpriced option, but was told I could not rent the car without purchasing (at least) their liability option ($20/day). He said I was lucky b/c that is MUCH less than the $59/day full coverage. All in, my 2 day $48 car rental ended up at $128!! Still much less than the Big 3 but nearly 3x what I reserved. Finally, I don’t fully blame Advantage: CLEARLY the State of FL and the county are in on the visitor fleecing.

Words cannot express the sheer level of disappointment and frustration I experienced while dealing with "Right Cars" Car Rental. This company is a prime example of how NOT to conduct business, and I strongly urge anyone considering renting from them to think twice and avoid this nightmare at all costs. Let me start by saying that "Right Cars" has absolutely no regard for their customers' well-being or financial security. When I arrived at their rental office, ready to pick up my supposedly affordable 50 euros car, I was greeted with an outrageous demand: a whopping 650 euros as a deposit. Are they out of their minds? It's beyond comprehension how they can justify such an exorbitant amount for a car that is worth a fraction of that deposit. As if their greed wasn't enough, "Right Cars" shamelessly refused to refund or provide any reasonable alternatives. Instead, they presented me with an ultimatum: pay an additional 80 euros for insurance or fork over a mind-boggling 500 euros as a deposit for a vehicle that should be barely worth the initial rental cost. This level of exploitation and disregard for customer satisfaction is simply disgraceful. It's clear that "Right Cars" Car Rental thrives on taking advantage of unsuspecting customers. Their outrageous deposit requirements and unwillingness to accommodate reasonable requests are not only unethical but also bordering on fraudulent practices. I cannot stress enough how important it is to steer clear of this company if you value your hard-earned money and want to avoid unnecessary stress and disappointment. In conclusion, "Right Cars" Car Rental is an absolute disaster of a company. They epitomize everything that is wrong with the car rental industry. Save yourself the headache, frustration, and financial burden by choosing a reputable car rental company that actually values its customers. "Right Cars" is simply not worth the time, money, or peace of mind you'll undoubtedly lose by dealing with them.

The pick up hour should be an interval, our flight delayed and the man from car rental didn’t wait for us. It was necessary to arrange a paid transfer to the hotel. Also the phone number mentioned in the voucher didn’t work and nobody answer. I was helped by customer service from my hotel to manage to be in touch with somebody from The car rentals. The experience was awful.

I arrived at the airport at 7:30pm and called for a shuttle. I called twice with no answer. I took a taxi out an couldn't find the location. I finally got through and the person on the phone said they closed at 5. On my printed out paper, it says pick up till 9pm. I had to make a last minute booking with another company at the airport and paid a 65$ taxi fee for the back and forth. The money I would have saved was not worth this head ache. I am super disappointed the pick up times weren't clearly indicated and I would have arranged myself accordingly. I think kayak should make a better effort in providing better, reliable companies considering their name is associated with them.

Waited 45 minutes at the airport for the shuttle. Called ACO several times but no answer. Car engine light came on and the ACO call centre was unable to help me, it being a Sunday. I sent a photo and an email of my concern but received no reply. No windshield washer fluid.

Shuttle from airport doesn’t arrive. I called multiple times. No answer, no response to voicemail. Took taxi instead. Hard to find location which is in the middle of nowhere, barely lit and marked Tuff instead of ACO. Got to counter at 7:02 and was told they close at 7 so wouldn’t help me. Also if you are an hour late your entire contract is canceled anyway. So they would not have helped me regardless due to the shuttle bus issue. I was stranded with my toddler and no car. Staff would not even call me a taxi. Thank goodness Lyft was nearby. Terrible staff, terrible service, terrible operation. I wasted $50+ in cab fare thanks to ACO. BEWARE.
