The pickup wasn’t great. Some parts of the car didn’t work all the time, like the backup camera, Apple play and screen but were mostly good. Car drove well. Drop off was super easy too and the price was great. Overall a very good experience

Great and efficient service. Clean nice car and very friendly staff. Was offered insurance but no pressure or ‘hard sell’ to buy other options. Very happy with service, car and value.

I didn’t like anything when we arrived they asked us for more money to give because we didn’t have credit card. From 91 € they asked 215 € and so we didn’t proceed at all, and went to another lease company

First time in Croatia and really appreciate Christian from the Dubrovnik Airport giving us advice on parking and driving in Croatia. It's quite difficult to find parking near the city centers, especially free, so definitely ask around. He also recommended that we get a bigger car with more horsepower because they drive quite fast on the highways, which was completely true. Car was clean and had no issues navigating narrow streets as long as you're extra careful.

I needed a car rental with pick-up and drop-off in different cities. Sixt was able to accommodate that. I was a little weary at first because I have not rented cars from Sixt before. I was pleasantly surprised. The service people were very friendly and competent, communications were clear and I had an overall great experience with Sixt.

The car had 88,000k in mileage, evidence of heavy hail damage throughout the car body and tires with no tread. Upon pickup and seeing the condition I asked for a different car but was told it was the last despite there being numerous other vehicles in the Avis lot

We booked a car with Avis in Dubrovnik 2 days before the day we were starting our trip. But when we got there, there were no car waiting for us. Then they told that they had a partner company (MACK) and we could rent a car with them and return to Avis in Venice ( our last city). I asked specifically to return the car in Mestre-Venice, where I booked my hotel. But when I arrived in Mestre, the mananger just said yhat it was not a car from Avis and "that is not his problem". That I should call Dubrovnik to answer my problem. Finally after more discussion, he said me to go to Avis in airport and they could help me. He was very impolite and not even tried to help me. I'm sure I will never use Avis again.

Pros:

the cars were clean and the queues at the counters reasonable

Cons:

the first car was a Peugeot 208 with automatic gearbox, which clutch was quite out of order (impossible to climb !) ; then I had a tire puncture and the spare wheel was also flat ! The different numbers of the Avis agency in Croatia (Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar) didn't answer, even it it was in the week and in the middle of the afternoon, so I was obliged to call the roadside assistancve to my expenses (including a new tire), on cash. After that I changed the car in Split but to a smaller one (smart for4) but at the same price (!) I received the assurance from Avis that my additional expenses (due to the puncture) will be decreased from my final bill, but when I gave back the car (in Zadar) that was impossible, but they told me that I will anyway receive the reimbursement in the next days. Wait and see

Cons:

I ordered e class through Kayak and received c class instead which is lower class. Due to Covid i had to change dropoff zone which was out of my control and have not heard from hertz or kayak after complaining
